A short trip into Gippsland with the deadly treadly for some caches.I started in Traralgon on the TCT trail, then onto the TST trail. It was a lovely ride along this unexpected trail.Located most of the caches, but dipped out on a few.Obviously don't have keen eyes, as I missed this one. Thanks for the series, Robmc.
Out with Supaseeker and Shumba7 on the geoscooter, geoeuc and geoelectric bicycle. TFTC.
TFTC took out a newbie and got his first caches, supa seeker was on his pedal assist bicycle, Algae on his electric unicycle and me on my new electric scooter, we smashed out the series except 2 we wouldn’t find. Great morning out:-) ️
Coords 7m out for me so put down phone and looked - found wi 20 secs after 15 mins prior looking. This one had me most challenged out of series
So today I had to take our camper trailer to Traralgon to get bike racks fitted before our trip away. A trip somewhere different equals geocache search in the area and discovered several options but chose the Traralgon South Trail. Off I went on my bike "Olive" who is a gravel bike and coped well with this track bar the last couple of geocaches in this series so we just walked a little. Great track and a comfortable distance. However couldn't believe how busy this road is - made it difficult at times to pick a free moment to retrieve and return cache. Loved the variation of caches and the joy of cruising on my bike. Thanks for setting up a really enjoyable geocaching experience valleycaching. I really enjoyed my afternoon

Mr Riddells Riddle of the day” why didn’t the CO make it magnetic? “Boom Boom!”
TFTC… nice we can understand hints and tittles.
Makes the job a lot easier!

Had a round 2 at trying to find this one ans still not able to locate.
Genius - I got a buzz from finding this one. ATP I'm 2 hours into my searching and have only traversed 4km. OMG.
Find 447.
Im excited to be in the area
. Extremely stoked to be doing the series. On a mission today to see how I can go.
This is a great cache well hiden.. I almost did a dnf and then I seen it. It gets a Fav point just for the laugh..

We first started this series back in January 2017 and it went well until a few DNFs and then my wife who was running the trail came back saying the trail was blocked off and we called it quits. Today was the first time I had time to really come back. After FTFs did help me find the time and inspiration to return. Clearly didn't do them in order, or very efficiently, but pleased to have the whole series with smiley faces now.
Searched all the wrong spots before finally seeing this one. Didn't help that my GPSr kept saying I was 5 meters away no matter where I was.
Thanks for the cache valley caching

Disabling until we can check on this after the recent storms and floods.
Currently travelling so will perform maintenance in October when we arrive home.

Nice camo on this one and good placement too. My 214th cache and 7th for today. TFTC
This one we needed to stop on our return trip for another look.. GPS was jumping everywhere initially, turns out we were barking up the wrong tree! Great hide.
The Sun had come out and living in Baw Baw shire we were not locked down so I decided to head out for a day out of the house and a nice walk along the TCT trail, Gippsland has some great locations to visit and lots of caches that have not been found in awhile, so with my new caching gear gloves, sanitizer and mask I ventured out, I had a great time touring around the area finding caches and exploring new places.
Thanks valleycaching for the cache.

Will also come back to this one.
Think we just needed food at this point lol

Got the family up at 5.30 this morning to head out to Traralgon to do the Parkrun, Parkrun event, some breaky and some local cache. The weather was terrible today, sideways rain and wind with s chill in it. Anyway after breaky I decided would brave some of this trail alone, the fam were happy to sit in the car and play tech. Told them to come find me in an hour, and off I went. Was a nice little trail, and didn’t see a sole! Deeeeer... only one idiot out there today. Thanks for the fun.
Spotted reasonably quickly in a fairly obvious spot, given the name of the cache. TFTC.
Another beautiful day for a walk. Good opportunity to finish the series. TFTC
Passing by on the way to Tarra-Bulga and couldn't resist grabbing a few of the series, most were quick easy finds and a couple took a short search to find

Watch out for the spiky things as you approach. Had a look around and looked up and found it thank you
All I could find at GZ was a dead tree which has fallen very recently, if the cache was there there might be a problem with it.
Why is it the last cache I go looking for has to be a DNF?!?
I have a rough idea of where it might have been... but it looks like one of the trees in the area has dropped a branch, not saying that's affected the cache but a welfare check may be in order. At any rate, it's getting late in the day, so I'm done for now. Thanks anyway

Out and about exploring the area.
We decided to grab this series en route to home, some taking longer than others but all found in the end. Enjoyed a few nice walks along the trail.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache and series for our enjoyment valleycaching. Appreciate your efforts.

After exploring some towns along the South Gippsland Highway, we turned north toward Traralgon and decided to pick up the caches in this series before heading home. Some took longer than others but all caches were found by mid to late afternoon after some nice walks. Thanks for the cache, and the series valleycaching.

I arrived at this one and the GPSr had me at 0 metres in the middle of the track so where do I go from here, eventually it was found.
Today, I headed down the highway to Traralgon to attend the Parkville event and now that the event is over, it was time to find a few more caches while I was in the area.
I had now headed South to see if I could complete the TST trail on my bike before having to head for home.
There are some tricky hides, some straight forward ones as well and then there were a few that I just could not see at all but I didn't have my correct glasses with me for cache searching which didn't help but in the end I didn't do too bad.

Thanks for the cache trail.

Thanks for the hide

Could have been a problem for the vertically challenged ! Fortunately that was not us ! Tftc
Our day to head out on the TST finally arrived. We organised ourselves by parking at the recommended places and then walking off in either direction to find the caches. It still meant quite a bit of backtracking and involved a lengthy walk, but it was a lovely day to be out in the area. Even saw an echidna, the biggest we have ever ween at the final cache!
We should have brought the deadly treddlies as this would have made the whole process much easier and it was a great day for a ride.
A good variety of hides and some bigger caches gave us the opportunity to drop off a number of Travel Bugs we had collected on our recent travels up north. Hope some other cachers are able to pick them up and move them on their way.
All in all a good, successful day out.

Out for a maintenance run today. All good here, but replaced the container anyway as the lid was missing.
A new waterproof log is in place.
Happy hunting.

Continuing along this awesome trail, appreciating the variety and effort that has gone into creating and maintaining. Tfts I had a look on my way past with no success so brought my partner in crime (or caching) back with me and cache soon in hand. Tftc
*Staying in Traralgon for a couple of nights, we have enjoyed riding the trails, placed so close to town. TST - a variety of caches, hidden in a range of locations, a great ride for a couple of seniors - 28/30!*
Took a while to locate this one - clever placement.
Satellites today had our GZ 6 metres SE of where we found the cache.
Thanks valleycaching (F=4 H=30) for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

"I just love being in nature [even if we can't find it] its such a beautiful.. FOUND IT" haha. We found the lid first, then we were about to give up when eagle eye Joel spotted it!
frmen1 and I ran away from home for the weekend with the view to target this road and surrounds. We walked the 14kms (there and back), taking adequate water and food supplies with us. A great day for it. This one had us going as well, but found it 5m from our indicated gz. Time for a snack. TFTC
We are on our regular Wednesday geocaching trip & today we are attempting to walk the TST both ways discovering all the caches on the way. Thanks to the CO's for setting up this well maintained trail.
We have given a Favourite listing to both the first & last caches in recognition of the trail as well as the odd worthy cache.
This one took us far longer than it should have.

Took us a second round of looking for this cache, but finally found it after almost once again giving up. GPS is a bit out though which made it a bit harder.! Tftc!

This hide could take some time to find as it blends in very well, but I got lucky today and I was in the right spot to be able to spy the container. The cache container itself is still okay and the lid stays on however it has lost its thread and pops right off. It looks like it should be okay for the time being though.
Thanks to valleycaching for placing this cache.

A fun "Where's Wally" cache hide
But these types of containers are etched into me retina these days,
and spotted faster than any character in a red and white top

One of our targets for this trip was to attempt the Traralgon South Trail . Despite adverse weather at times, we were able to walk the trail and found the majority of the caches.
This was to a quick find because the cache container contrasted very well to its surroundings. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks valleycaching for the cache and series.

Cheeky hide but the title said it all! Not the usual container type for a cache like this which was refreshing! Needs a zip bag for the log
While visiting Traralgon today to attend a BBQ event we picked up some local caches as well in the company of Alansee. Soon sorted this one out. TFTC
Found with The Tritonz. We wandered in circles for a few minutes before Mr T spotted this one.
We really liked this hide, we hadn't seen one quite like it before. Thanks for the cache
Jazz83 leaped to find this one right where I was standing lol.

Lilmissgeo found this one fairly quickly while I was searching a coupe of metres away. Nice hide, TFTC!
