Big billboard and a tiny hide! Easy find, #860 so far. Needed to reach 900 next week. Informed CO contactpete that their 9-years old log roll is pretty full, TFTC
Didn't take long to find but reading about spiders I was a bit cautious, but all ok.
Found It!
Walked through the squishy plants and then soon spotted the cache once at the billboard!

Easy find in logical spot but GPS was 17 metres out….
Park in street behind, no parking on highway.
Happy Easter everyone!!!

Every time I come out this way I think about doing this cache. Seems I'm always in the wrong lane to even try to get near it.
Today I made a definite plan of attack that led me right here.
Of course I haven't been out here for months and months and I think the sign on the bill board is different to my last time passing by.
Parked the geomobile in the side street and headed towards GZ. I assume the passing traffic wouldn't really take any notice of me but there was a tow truck on the other side of the highway loading something on. I decided to be like an ostrich going behind the billboard and pretending that as I couldn't see anyone they couldn't see me. Of course they could see my legs!
A quick search and I could see the cache. Hmm, not T1.5. I needed a natural TOTT to retrieve the cache. Signed the log and following geocaching guidelines replaced the cache exactly where I found it which may not be its original spot.
I like the original old house on the hill above the cache!

5/5 today - not bad for my first return to a day of caching.

Hard to be inconspicuous here. But an easy find to get your numbers up for the day.
Easy to find and the item blends in well. Accessible on foot and no need to climb. Parking in the street in safe to bring the little explorers for fun, but beware the Great western roads.
After searching high and low, we realised we needed to gain some height! With some team work we gained the height and found the cache! Re-planted a tad lower. TFTC
Teamed up with marj01 for a days caching, our first outing in a while. The break from caching has sharpened marj01's senses as he was on fire today when it came to finding the hides except this one. TFTC contactpete.
These billboards are big when up close. So many spots to search. Lucky I am tall so was able to reach. TFTC
Coordinates a bit misleading here but it was pretty obvious where we should be looking. Mr Gaztek spied this well-hidden container from just the right angle. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Lucky I took tall geo hubby. I was just about to give up, but hubby persisted and I spied the cache.
Last April we were here for an age searching before declaring defeat. Today we returned armed with a tott to increase our height. Found in first place we looked. Turns out we could reach without our tott. Not sure what was going on last visit, cache blindness obviously . Glad to have avenged this dnf! TFTC contactpete xo
Looking at previous logs about needing to be tall, I thought that maybe I should be able to get it. But, no, I still could not find it. Would I need to be another metre taller? Maybe next time!
#726 - Going just as we were walking away after having given up. Great hide! TFTC
Gave it a good crack but it’s dnf from us today. We’re sure it’s there, but time to move on. Maybe next time (& we’ll bring a ladder ) TFTH CP xo
Went back with greenharry to lend a hand, and found it relatively quickly. Lots of potential spots here. TFTC
Came back with NathyBathy for a second look after "an island adventure" in glenwood. Simple but well camouflaged. NathyBathy spotted it and gave me hints as to where it was, eventually spotted it myself. Could barely reach it and I’m pretty tall, after using nathybathy as a stool, was soon retrieved, signed, and returned. TFTC
I’ve had a hiatus from caching due to a battle with bowel cancer, I’m on the road to recovery. I did misplace my caching log hence the highly delayed logging.
( I have photo proof of signed log and cache if needed)
I was working in the area and figured I’d collect this nearby cache after work
What a lovely spot.

This one has been on my to do list for some time. As a kid, before the motorway was built, the GWH was the only way out west and I remember when this road was still an on ramp for the highway. So I felt I needed to stop in and see what it was like to watch the traffic zooming past.
I kinda knew what to expect when we arrived and made an initial inspection of plausible hiding spots. Knowing the style of hides from this CO, we could have been in for some fun! But with some careful interpretation of previous logs, and using brains rather than brawn, our eyes sighted the prize and it was up to aubeasty to go in for the grab. Always better with two sets of eyes. Thanks contactpete for the memories.

Our first opportunity for a day of geocaching for the Hidden Creatures souvenir challenge promotion. Lovely sunny weather, good friends and some lovely grub gave us some smilies.

Last one for the day.
Looks to be a somewhat unloved cache (> 6 months unfound). A search at the lower levels revealed nothing, a searching higher revealed nothing. Geowife spotted something up high to investigate. It was the cache. Log signed and replaced.

Found it! A quick read of the previous finds narrowed down the search. Looked around for what was out of place, and there is was! Good thing hubbyandmrs and itsonlybarney were there to reach for me.

One of our finds on a day of caching with geofriends for the hidden creatures challenge
A quick find spotted by our friends. Tftc

I had a quick look here this afternoon but with more caches on the radar I moved on after a quick look.
Great little hiding spot so many possibilities especially when the GPS won't settle. Luckily there were two of us today and were able to do some minor climbing and stretching to get this little guy. Tftc
Had DNF'd this on a year and a half ago, but now we wanted to really get it done. Assumed that the cache should be on the bill board, even though the GPSr wanted us 10 meters away from it.
After a while of searching we spotted the cache in a location which matches the saying 'why did I not see it last time?' It was a bit of a stretch to retrieve it though, and it could be a bit hard if you are not as tall as us.

Pretend to play golf at nearby Fox Hills. Been past here 100s of times and never looked. Easy find despite my coords being way off.TFTC.
#3397 - Always a quick find when looking at the right direct. Yes, it is obscured. Many thanks to the CO "contactpete" for establishing and maintaining another regional cache.

After a few DNF's thought I'd do a cache check.
All is in place and exactly as it should be.
Cache on!

Found. Happy to finally get this smiley. Been here before and spent 30 mins in a fruitless search. Today my geosenses were turned on and less than 1 min had CIH, why didn't I see that last time.

Spent some time looking for this, also checking previous logs for clues, but to no avail. Will have to come back some other day.
After a long search this cache was eventually found. Did need to stretch to retrieve it. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks contactpete for placing this cache.
This was a more difficult cache to spot. We read all the available information and worked out where we expected to find this one. After looking around at everything within reach, it was then decided to go back to the geo vehicle and grab caching tool number 29 which assisted greatly in the search for and then the retrieval of this cache. It was nicely tucked away in its hidey hole and could be easily missed. The log was duly signed and then everything went back into the container and was replaced where it had been found. Thank you for putting this cache into play to be found by us and our fellow cachers.
Second time here and still couldn't find it. Know exactly what we are looking for but it was no where to be found. Hoping it hasn't been moved!
Our first hunt ever, was unsuccessful due to being interrupted by the rain. Will be returning to find the cache!
A quick find on the way throu the area. Hot day so I didn't want to spend too long hunting but good coordinates and previous logs made it a pretty easy grab. TFTC
