Day 3 of a trip to Victoria targeting around the Benalla area with Brisal5, Bushfire and 6hinemoa2. The forecast for the day was for showers however it ended up as a perfect day for caching.

As always the planned targeted hides were not visited due to time constraints but many more varied and fun caches were found. A number of disabled caches were also looked for and found to be there but in need of attention by the owners.

Our approach to GZ was concerning with the condition of the road however after the skillful driving of our chauffeur we arrived at GZ to find the hide in need of urgent repair as indicated b y the reviewer. The damp log and contents were replaced in the damaged container as best we could.

All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.

Thank you for the cache docNwitchjy, found 5/05/2022, 9:30:26 AM

THE LATE TO THE WANGARATTA MEGA TOUR. [:o)]
We were booked for November 21. [^] Didn't Happen. Twisted
Booking transferred to February 22. Razz covid Twisted
Booking transferred to May 2022. Cool Yah - made it albeit a tad late. Cool

DAY 2: Some Winton Wetlands and back to Benalla: Razz
The Fab Four of Bushfire, Blackadders, brisal5 and 6himemoa2 set off for a days of Geocaching adventures. Razz Although we had a plan A, we progressed through Plan A, Plan B and ended up doing Plan -wing it. [^] So to save space in logs we signed BBB6 or 3B6 or similar. Sometimes I stamped logs, but that ended very suddenly. Surprised Here is what we found during plan - wing it. Big Grin

Although this was disable we were driving past and thought we would have a look. Razz Cache located but oh dear it has seen better days and totally agree with the reviewer. Smile Some owner TLC is required here. Wink

***Thanks docNwitchjy for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

Out on a caching adventure of 4 days with bushfire, Brisal 5 and Blackadder. We stayed nearby at Goorambat and travelled around from there.
Been to Benalla many times but this was a new experience.
We were driving past and thought we would check it out. Yes it was there but does need some TLC as suggested by the reviewer.
Thanks for the fun here docNwitchjy

### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###

----------

Hi there docNwitchjy,

It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.

**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**

#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-

- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ). Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.

- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers don't have a crystal ball, so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, or you have been in hospital, or the area is in flood, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**

- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.

You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.

Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD).

Thanks for your cooperation,

Bunjil

Heading south from Yarrawonga, with Team Crackers.

The container is falling apart, as previous finder described.
We signed a wet log as best we could, and turned the container upside down,
to help stop the water getting in. CO should check on this one.
Many thanks for placing this cache, docNwitchjy, for us and others to find.

After doing the fireworks for the Mulwala Ski Club last night we joined forces with The Drovers to try and grab a few caches before parting company.

Unfortunately we must have had a few drinks when we planned to come and have a look for this set of caches as we were looking at the map and they all appeared to be on roads and it looked like it was going to be a very enjoyable time driving around picking them up but as we were a bout to find out this wasn't to be. If only we had read the cache page more thoroughly we would have realised that this was the only one that was going to be accessible and even that required a 500 meter walk as the road was closed after last night's heavy rain.

This one did take a bit longer than we expected to locate as our GPS'rs had us on the wrong side of where we should have been and it was only after a PAF that we located the cache and managed to add our name to the very damaged log.

Many thanks docWitchy we will return with push bikes to try and find more in this area.

Out of lockdown and out caching with my geocaching buddy Rebel Acts, what more could you ask for on this sunny Saturday.

This area is certainly dry at the moment.
Cheers for the cache and excuse to catch up with Rebel.

With The ring of Swiss cheese coming down we could now catch up with our Metro Mates, so once again after many months I teamed up with Omegaman1971 and headed to the Winton, Glenrowan and Wangarrata areas to do the labs and several caches in the area, We concentrated most of our effort at Winterton Wetlands, it was rather dry there with not a drop of water to be seen, we enjoyed learning some of the history of the area and checking out all the wildlife in the area, thankfully we did not wee any snakes today as it was rather warm and some of the grass we had to walk through was waste high.

This was one of the caches we found today. This took longer than it should have.

Thanks docNwitchjy for the cache.

Suscoe was heading north today for a few days of caching.
Albury was the destination and so a day's drive up the Hume provided the opportunity to stop off at a number of caches that we had spotted in recent weeks.
It was cool starting out at home but the temperature finally warmed up once we reaching Benalla.
A lovely day was spent visiting these caches along the highway.

Thanks to docNwitchjy for this hide, a very quiet area here today.

After spending the day timing a motor race meeting at Winton had some time to grab some caches as I went back to Wang and I changed my direction to head for this one. Left Adelaide heading for the V8's at Winton, what a better way to seek a few Yellow faces along our route.
Some have been interesting as others not so, but without having a go we wouldn't have been brought to those special places in the Geocaching World.
With a high terrain we over thought this one, found in a position that was terrain 1.5 so we are unsure if there is a little cache creep as it was 8 metres away from GZ.
Thanks to the CO for maintaining these hides and getting us out of the car.

Found numerous caches types & an assortment of sizes in some great locations.

Part two of the day, On the Bike and headed along the wall, great views of Mt Buller topped with snow and Mt Buffalo in the distance. I checked under the bridge and found it was very slippery down there but no cache, After a quick look around located the cache and found there was no need to get muddy. I did notice there is a new toilet block to the west of the Dam Wall near the 6 km mark on a small side track. Not signposted all out there on it's own, what I thought were foxes in the distance turned out to be two large Hares TFTC

Seems I must be feeling better Smile as this afternoon I happened to notice new caches at the Winton Wetlands Surprised and when I saw they were kayak cachesSurprised, I figured that a paddle would do me good after being cooped up for so long [^]
So I loaded the kayak into the Corolla (seriously.. it did fit!) and off I drove.
Knowing that I hadn't paddled for ages, I decided early that I didn't want to be out in the dark too much after sunset hence why only 2 FTF caches were found from the floating mango as it was almost 3.45pm when I set off from the boat ramp. It was definitely dark when I returned about 6.15pm after a 6km paddle.
Another 4 caches were found on the way home so the day's total was 6 Smile finds all up Cool

Finally managed to be on my own out here and therefore I had no one else with me that was in a hurry, hence I could stop and find this cache Smile
Made the find easily and was pleased [^] that no fence climbing was required as I'm pretty tired and cold and wobbly at the moment after my hugest day out in 3 weeks[)][xx(] Now I'm headed into Benalla for fuel and a lovely hot meal of Indian to celebrate [^]

Our second attempt at caching in these lovely wetlands while staying in the nearby Glenrowan Tourist Park. We absolutely love this area and all the birdlife.
