After a convoluted trip to the last cache getting to this one was easy as we just headed a bit further down the road for the find.We headed off to Wodonga for a few days for a family celebration, and as usual organized to pick up a few caches along the way and try a number of Ad Labs. Its a great time of year for caching and although we had not planned as carefully as we might we were still taken to a number of interesting places, particularly a new solar installation alongside the Hume Highway.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache docNwitchjy.**SKI Pair****
Thank you docNwithjy for this cache.dalerious and I wanted to go caching, but it had already been a very long week, with the Mega and all, then going to work for a couple of days, then the weekend was upon us again, and it decided to rain.Put into this mix, our favourite app c:geo was down, and in the haste to try an resolve the issue myself, even though the boffins at c:geo made an announcement saying to be patient, they are on to it, I in all my wisdom uninstalled the app. Well, I lost all my lists, didn't I.My fault entirely. But you can imagine, I am totally lost. I had so many Challenge caches on lists, and now I have to filter through dalerious's list and try not to miss any I have signed and qualified for.So, it is because of this chaos that I am forced to do a generic for these Winton caches.I am logging them in geocaching.com app which I haven't used in years, and feel quite lost.I shall try to add information at the top of this generic log if there were issues with the container etc.I was hoping to undertake the T5's and finally put them to bed, but that will have to be for another day.
Heading towards Albury en route to Canberra, I picked a few caches along the way to break my journey..Nice quick find here. Thanks to docNwitchjy for the cache.
After a very hectic day yesterday at work I needed to get out today and clear the head and also go for a drive.I picked north up the Hume as I have not been up this way for a while and there are a few new caches that have been put out as well.Im also chasing windmills for my up coming trip up to Canberra and back for the Captial GeoBash over the Easter break.Winton wetlands area was not even on my radar for today and I have driven past them as I was on the freeway numerous times.Friends I know have walked the area when it was dry..Forgot my pen, lost my pen, left my pen I have done all of these. This was the start of my way in and I came out at the other end. Thanks docNwitchyjy TFTC.
I had attempted to get to this one some years ago but there was too much water in a creek crossing so didn';t even get close. Today the creek was behaving so could actually get to GZ - where the cache was a quick find. Thanks to docNwitchjy for this one.
First day of a little road trip to Victoria. Travelling from the Illawarra via Batemans Bay to Benalla. Lots of driving and only a few little detours and stops to pick up caches.TFTC Wilbert67
First day, Benalla to Ballarat. Beautiful start of the day, lots of caches and labs. Thanks to all the CO for their hides. J+J.au
A long drive to find this one. A quick find but road closed so had to turn around and go all the way back.
Accompanied crank1 on the way to mega Rutherglen. Detour and find it and sign the log. Thanks for the cache and hunt ️
The worse ones are when you have hiked somewhere and you forgot a pen... or dropped it along the way...

I got a few hours spare this afternoon and it was warm (but not as hot as yesterday) so I headed down to Winton Wetlands to do some birding and also get a few caches. Was surprised how many cars were out and about enjoying the summer weather.
Last one in the wetlands today - a train went past as I signed - wonder if anyone looked out the window!

THE LATE TO THE WANGARATTA MEGA TOUR. [:o)]
We were booked for November 21. [^] Didn't Happen.
Booking transferred to February 22. covid
Booking transferred to May 2022. Yah - made it albeit a tad late.
DAY 2: Some Winton Wetlands and back to Benalla:
The Fab Four of Bushfire, Blackadders, brisal5 and 6himemoa2 set off for a days of Geocaching adventures. Although we had a plan A, we progressed through Plan A, Plan B and ended up doing Plan -wing it. [^] So to save space in logs we signed BBB6 or 3B6 or similar. Sometimes I stamped logs, but that ended very suddenly. Here is what we found during plan - wing it.
Found the cache but didn't forget the pen. That's probably because it is securely fastened to a lanyard around my neck. [:o)]
***Thanks docNwitchjy for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Day 3 of a trip to Victoria targeting around the Benalla area with Brisal5, Bushfire and 6hinemoa2. The forecast for the day was for showers however it ended up as a perfect day for caching.
As always the planned targeted hides were not visited due to time constraints but many more varied and fun caches were found. A number of disabled caches were also looked for and found to be there but in need of attention by the owners.
All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.
Thank you for the cache docNwitchjy, found 5/05/2022, 9:56:24 AM

Spent a couple of days caching with Bogonghazy around Corowa. Finding a couple of geocaches on our way home. Thanks for placing the geocache
Today, our 2nd day in Benalla, Pa kindly took me for a drive after we did the shopping and the obligatory morning tea at the Bootmaker's shop of Ned Kelly fame. I was really after the History at Winton Swamp and Wetlands AL, but it was easy enough to gather up some GC caches along the way.
This was one of them and it was a quick easy find at GZ and the log was signed, dated and returned to its resting place.
TFTC docNwitchjy Good to get a decent sized cache. Grabbed a Tb

Canberra Day long weekend trip to Wangaratta. After spending the Mega weekend down at Wangaratta, there was so much more to do that a plan was hatched to visit again to do the Warbies Challenges and the Old Coach Road. A team of Joolay, Kitty Katch, FurfacesLL, Fitzy_1965 & MinnieK and I came together for this trip. Day 4. I have reached the last day of my March Wangaratta trip, and now the long hard days are over, I headed out to finish some of the caches around Wangaratta before heading down to the Winton Wetlands to do the Adventure Lab caches and as many others as possible now I have learnt how to get in. The day ended with the drive home, a fun blast up the highway with a bonus whereigo at the end.
I was really happy to get to the wetlands on this trip. It is a great area with lots of caches to showcase all sorts of different areas. There are plenty more to do, so I hope to come back and visit again.
Thanks for the cache docNwitchjy

Due to a water covered road I'm on foot to an Adventure Lab cache, I needed to walk past this one on the way, quick, short detour off track and I was greeted with this large cache containing no shortage of writing implements. Still I had my own so I used that. TFTC
A sunny morning and it's been a very quiet morning so far - no-one else around at any of the stops. We found the cache without a problem and signed the log. The contents of the cache were a nice touch! Thanks to docNwitchjy for the cache.
A weekend camping trip with RoamingHowie, exploring and caching our way around this area.
Plenty of pens on board!

After attending the Dawn service in Benalla I returned to camp ready for a day of caching. OzHockeyChick and I set off to explore Winton and Benalla.
We didn’t forget our pen but we did forget to stop for the cache. The joys of switching between ad labs and physical caches. A quick find and log signed.
Thanks docNwitchjy for the cache.

In Wangaratta for a few days of exploring with the kids. Becca85 and her kids have headed home so the kids and I headed to Winton Wetlands. Wow. What an incredible place. Heard of it but never been - absolutely blown away. Thanks so much for the caches placed here. I’ll be back!
Another easy find here. Would like to ride these rail trails sometime, but not on this trip to Vic.

Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.
Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??
Thanks docNwitchjy (F=885 H=33) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

Day 3 of our Yarrawonga/ Wangaratta caching trip with Earthbound Chief, micaparamedic and Becknmonts. We were heading to Benalla picking up any cache along the way.
We were here a week or so ago picking up the labs but only having one phone on we missed the physical caches around here so as the rest of the group hadn't done the lab we simply followed along picking up the ones that we had missed. This was a great little stop and with this many eyes the cache was located very quickly and our name was added to the log.
To save room in the log we signed as BECM
(Becknmomts, Earthbound Chief,Team Crackers, Micaparamedic)
Thanks again docNwitchy for the cache.

A very quick find was made.
Thanks docNwitchjy for being part of our geocaching fun.

Today we had a plan in place. I wrecked said plan, apparently! Mrs Crackers has put a lot of time and effort into the said plan, and by this stage I was too scared to suggest any other caches! But here is the kicker, by this stage it was indeed car1 making the changes to the plan! The plan was, indeed out the window! Thanks for placing the cache docNwitchjy We signed the log as BECM
Out of lockdown and out caching with my geocaching buddy Rebel Acts, what more could you ask for on this sunny Saturday.
We had an awesome time exploring the area with lots of talking and plenty of laughter.
This area is certainly dry at the moment.
Cheers for the cache and excuse to catch up with Rebel.

With The ring of Swiss cheese coming down we could now catch up with our Metro Mates, so once again after many months I teamed up with Omegaman1971 and headed to the Winton, Glenrowan and Wangarrata areas to do the labs and several caches in the area, We concentrated most of our effort at Winterton Wetlands, it was rather dry there with not a drop of water to be seen, we enjoyed learning some of the history of the area and checking out all the wildlife in the area, thankfully we did not wee any snakes today as it was rather warm and some of the grass we had to walk through was waste high.
This was one of the caches we found today.
Thanks docNwitchjy for the cache.

A pleasant Saturday afternoon was spent doing an anticlockwise lap of the wetlands. Nice first find for the day. Thanks for the hide.
On a Saturday where we weren't doing much, and since no-one who had a licence could drive me I decided to go caching myself. So me and a friend decided to go ride up the lunette at winton wetlands.
This was our second for the day and was quickly found before we turned off north-ish. Loved the idea- what cool cache. Log was signed and returned. TFTC

Out travelling around today before leaving Benalla tomorrow , to go back home to Brisbane. Mainly caching in the Winton and Benalla area. Actually it was mainly quiet on the back country roads. Found the cache, signed the log and put cache back where found. TFTC

I am very guilty of continually losing and forgetting pens. So had to check this one out. A quick find. Tftc
Suscoe was heading north today for a few days of caching.
Albury was the destination and so a day's drive up the Hume provided the opportunity to stop off at a number of caches that we had spotted in recent weeks.
It was cool starting out at home but the temperature finally warmed up once we reaching Benalla.
A lovely day was spent visiting these caches along the highway.
Thanks to docNwitchjy for this hide.
We remembered our pen!

No I didn't and I wonder how many of them work now? An easy find today thanks docNwitchiy.
Caching in and around the area, we picked up a few caches in the area and this was one of them. We enjoyed our visit to this new area.

I stopped by here while on the way to find a nearby challenge cache (I really should have gone a different way to that one but then I wouldn't have found this cache ). A quick find at 16:15 and there was no need for our BYO pen geocoin to visit here.

Accurate coordinates and a logical hide led to a quick find of a very well stocked cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks docNwitchjy for the cache.
Had to hoof it for the last 1.6 km and waved to a XPT train on the way! BTW there are 41 pencils, 9 pens and 1 mechanical pencil! TFTC
I love taking the roads less travelled and this was one of them. I wouldnt like to be travelling on this rd after rain tho. A great sized cache found with plenty of supplies of pens.. luckily I bought my own.. log signed and returned as found
Close to midnight. Torch and phone and just me. So, a crazy distraction for what turned out to be a wee solo mini epic heading off the highway way after dark to visit the LUNETTES as that what you do at night. Immersion well described the sense of discovery and magic on this starry night. A great start discovering this surprise! TFTC
For once forgetting your pen wasn’t really a problem at this cache. Plenty of supplies here! It’s great seeing a leather cache after all the bisons and nanos I’ve been finding lately. TFTC
