Another weekend in Canberra and again the weather gods are not cooperating. A very drizzly Saturday morning. Grabbed a few caches before Parkrun and then soon on to the walk in Mulligan's flat. Joined up with others and had a great time ignoring the little drizzle. For the day we called us capital Crunchers! This walk went nice and quick, so more time left for some caching.

In the area today to grab some caches just stopped here and have a quick find but already msg to CO with the photo damaged
A fast roadside park and grab to help qualify for a challenge cache. The log is rotten and the container was full of earwigs. TFTH
Found it. BE CAREFUL!
Maintenance required as I opened the container and it was full of spiders.

After swimming with DustyEartha, she quickly spotted this cache.

A quick find but cache is in a very bad condition with the container rusted, lid broken off and log book largely eaten away by insects. Signed as best we could and replaced. TFTC
container rusted, lid broken off and log book largely eaten away by insects. Given the last maintenance log was November, anyone visiting should consider bringing own paper and maybe a container!!
Picking up some caches around Canberra while touring with ilook4geo. This was an easy cache to find and all was in OK condition. Log was signed and it was time to move on.
This one needs a new log please.
Thanks go to JackaKid for placing this series of caches to find.

An original log in here. Looks quite pretty.
Quick find, nice cache, all in good order.
I needed to get out while the weather was so good. The rest of the family was not up for a longer walk though, so I picked a trail at the upper end of Gungahlin which looked urban enough that Wilma would not be sad missing this one. Nice long walk with lots of caches found. I am gald I did the trail now as a number are missing and others in poor shape so you never know how long they will last.
Thank you JackaKid for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Over from Adelaide to see the inlaws celebrate Cachemas day tomorrow.

Out with Gliss! For an evening cache after my jaunt our to Galong for a few days. Such a delightful evening, with the birds serenading is on the walk. Thanks for the cache.
Found with Nibletricecakes after work. After one of us had a big night, we needed a fairly easy non-strenuous find and this one fit the bill. Thanks to the clear hint, we walked straight up to it, signed and replaced. The streak continues. TFTC.
When a Halloween Charmander popped at the nearby gym, I checked and yep, nearby caches too. Two hobbies in one trip! Cache container is getting pretty rusty but still functioning
Out for a Sunday winters walk to get some fresh air. Beautiful day and fantastic view down over the northern end of the ACT. Easy find. TFTC. Log needs maintenance
Found with nissan 65 on a few days caching in Canberra. We headed up monday night after work and stayed at our usual over night spot in Goulburn before heading out to Canberra. Returning home today. Thankyou to all cache owners for placing these for our enjoyment.
First cache I went for had too many people with their cars round. Parked my car down the road and went for a walk on the path. Beautiful time of the day , stunning views and great to see so many birds.

Although the rain eased up after I visited GC5VTAD, the wind was still icy cold. By the time I reached gz my fingers were numb. I had trouble getting my gloves off and signing the log. It was just so cold and wet (okay, I just checked and it was -0.5 apparent temperature when I arrived and it dropped to -2.6 by the time I got to this cache). I decided that enough was enough. It was time to call it quits and head back to the car. I'm so glad this was another easy find. It would've been terrible to go through all this just for a DNF. TFTC
Found while out walking the trail. Many of the caches in this series need new logs or have damaged containers. TFTC.
JohnnyBoyACT and I went in search of geocaches in Mulligans Flat, Bonner and along the ACT’s northern border today. The weather was sunny although cool, the bush of Mulligans Flat was quiet and frosty and the views over Gungahlin from the northern border were most impressive. In all, I added 33 caches to my tally, with two DNFs. This cache was a straightforward find, being in an obvious spot on the coordinates. Thank you JackaKid for installing and maintaining this cache.
A day of caching with Kambahkid in Mulligans Flat NR, the high side of Bonner and up onto the Canberra Centenary Trail. We did some of JackaKid's VC series and others on the line and some of Champs2Monkeys' CCT series. TFTC.
Tftc Jackakid great series. Now for the next one ! Almost the end of the road here. More great views.
One of about 11 caches that I found in this little series today.
Lovely sunny day and so quiet being Easter Friday.
Thanks for the placement. All caches attempted found easily though some caches need to replace the logs sometime soon
Cheers

It seems silly, I only stopped yesterday in this suburb to knock it off my mapping challenge and here I am today trying to clear it out completely. I am starting to struggle to find decent amounts of caches in the one location (first world geocaching problem I know), but these jumped out at me yesterday while stopping to grab my 'Bonner' find, so at lunchtime today at my first day back at work in a little while I decide to come up here and see if I can do them all in a lunchtime. Turns out you can... as long as you take quite a long lunchtime
End of cut and paste section
This was the fourth find of the day... a quick find after jumping over the roack wall. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache

We haven't done a long caching walk for a couple of weeks, so thought we'd head out early today to tackle some up near Mulligan's Flat. We couldn't take The Woofer (she wasn't allowed, sadly!) but we still spent a nice few hours wandering the hills, collecting caches and checking out the views. Although most of them were (unfortunately) mint tins or similar, there were a few nice containers that we could leave swaps in. Found 28 caches in 3 hours. Not too shabby!
A quick and easy find. TFTC!

Another easy one, no problems, with a short walk attached. Heat is not killing me. TFTC.
Being the last day of holidays before going back to work, I was determined to fit in a final cache ride and this collection up around the back of Jacka was on my radar. After waiting for the storms to pass and some of the day's heat to dissipate, I set off to Mulligans Flat Road to do all this in the, for me, logical reverse order. A run that started out well, but finished a bit disappointingly with a series of non-finds. Still very enjoyable!
Just a little climbing on the road after the gradual elevation gain coming from Gungahlin Town Centre to the start of the run. Easily found. TFTC

With no hangover and a warm new years day i decided to head to jacka to some more of the jackakid series. Most caches were easily found but theres certainly a few in need of new log and cache containers. Great walk and series. Thanks JackaKid
At least I was on the right side of the fence! Must admit I was sorely tempted to be on the other side!
I've got a plan to reach my 8000th find by the 29th but having another 300 to find i needed a couple of weekends in rich caching grounds. Just my luck that i chose to go to Canberra before seeing the temperature forecast!
I only had a few caches left to find on the way down, but once i got there, i hast plenty to choose from. Only the cold slowed me down.
In the end i managed to get 59.
Thanks for the cache.

Another quick find on a detour while exploring Mulligans Flat. Love the views from this park. TFTC
Got to love a quick find. Parked nearby and walked straight up to GZ. Now to get to work on time.
