Logs
As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Took a cursory look, but nothing obvious jumped out, and it was such a nice day, and I had a good book in my bag ... so ended up sitting down under the trees near GZ and reading for an hour. Lovely wee spot.
We too failed to find this cache. There were a number of possible hint objects near the coordinates, all becoming pretty overgrown, making them difficult to search.
Finally after a previous unsuccessful attempt we thought we should tackle this one again as it was the only green button left along this river. This still took quite a while to find today, gps was very jumpy and had us all over the place. We widened the search area again, re-read logs, notes and hint and cache was located and signed and popped back.
All was how it should be here, the cache hadn't moved at all and log still dry. Easier to find in winter without all the summer leaves.
This needs checking, I've been in the UK for a month but will get down there as soon as possible.
Because we approached this one from the other side I totally forgot we've already attempted it before. Had a quick look around but there are just too many places to search and with all the DNFs logged we decided to give up pretty quick.
GC for your next one was 10 m out so perhaps this one is too. So many features fit the hint, combined with overgrowth may explain the very high DNF rate, so perhaps it needs revision?
This geocache sitting tightly in its original place, despite being washed over during the flood. I checked on it straight away, sorry I didn't write a note. Bit harder to find now with all the spring growth, but still there
Couldn't find this one, GPS was bouncing a little but we wondered if it has been lost with the river flooding recently?
We think this may have gone missing with the recent flooding in the area. No find for us today
We returned and for some reason found this very quickly this time. Nice hide, tftc!
Running a bit short on time to find this one. That pesky thing called work was interfering. Will be back for this one!
One of my favourite caches in this area! I like the theme, and I found it rather easy and re-hid well
Finally got round to ticking this cache off our list. Had attempted it a month or so ago but was dusk and in between all the trees made it even darker so we had to give up. Today came back in full light and found after not too long a search. Tftc
On a trip with tmann421 and Just-Lookin.
Had lots of fun collecting all the caches.

We were expecting a bit of a search on this one, but located pretty quickly.

I had the pleasure of finishing work at lunch time today, so I made the most of the opportunity to grab a few caches that have been on my hit list for awhile now. Beautiful walk along the river, tree line, and had lots of success with all the caches. Thanks.
Unfortunately no luck at this one, darkness was approaching so I regretted not bringing my torch, it may have helped?
With staying the night in Taradale, a morning bike ride to find five caches, I was about to step over a fallen log and saw the cache container on the ground, in the open, where the GPS says I was 12 metres from GZ. Signed log, and placed it where I think it should be. Thanks for this cache.

Thanks for that! Sorry that you have to make an extra note about it but I think it will help as the GPS led us into the bush. We will be back hopefully soon to have another go
These caches are hard case, because of this, this one and the other dog heaven one, we will give it a point. TFTC
Yay, my first ever favourite point, thanks Graham7243
In response to the earlier comment about damage to the area, being an ex DOC worker, that is the last thing I would want, and this had concerned me when placing. I will edit the listing to point out that this cache can be found (if not seen) from the flat grassy side of GZ so it is not necessary to be on the river side amongst the bushy area. When I hide my caches, the intention is that they won't be seen by muggles rather than being hard to find by geocachers. I hope that helps.

Really don't like giving DNFs especially when it's the first one! We had a good search but didn't find it. I must say that I am a little concerned about damage to the area as you could already see trails trampled all around the place and this cache is quite new... It's hard not too with so much rot and all the vines everywhere though. We will attempt this another time.
