We are in Tamworth for a few days to break our journey home. Camped at the paceway.
Certainly plenty to keep a cacher busy here.

Came back here today for the ones we didn’t see on the map before. Don’t ask me how. Anyway I’ll give you a good pointer: look at the gps before you get out of the car otherwise you might be barking up the wrong tree and might even be on the wrong side of the road. Honestly it was too hot today to be spending extra time in the sun in the wrong place. Cache found quickly once we looked at the gps. A simple rule really.
Cheers and happy caching!

What a glorious sunny day for some caching and we thought we would travel to Kootingal and surrounds to put some Smileys on our geocaching map.
A quick park and grab. Many thanks for bringing us here.
Took Polar Bear and Pineapple trinket, left Baked Beans Toy and geocaching sticker. Signed log. TFTC WW

#7110 Day 5 of our "Dayboro Plan B" trip. mtrax & myself, having decided to ditch the mega came up with a last minute re-route using some of the accommodation we'd already booked and find some interesting caches. To this end we were very selective and only chose caches with sufficient FPs along the route. Today we headed out of Armidale down towards Tamworth. Only a short trip of 150km or so, but with sufficient geostops to fill out the day. Highlights for today had to be the geono caches around Uralla and Uralla itself. We bumped into "The Neighbs" along the way and had a chat. They were heading up to the Mega too, but had to divert.
Thanks Whitey Wiskas
Thanks Whitey Wiskas
This has obviously been recently maintained as we were first to sign a new logsheet in what looked to be a nice new replacement cache. TFTC Whitey Wiskas.
I couldn’t find this one last night but found it today. It had moved about a metre away from the tree. It took ages to open. Tftc.
A quick park and grab but the ‘base’ of this tree was at chest height! TNLN TFTC
Tamworth and Amrmidale Trip March 2020. Day 3. I headed north with Fitzy_1965 along the New England Highway towards Tamworth. Today we headed out to do caching trails around Tamworth to the North. The day was mostly roadside caches, but they were all of differing levels of challenges, especially when you have to deal with Farmers Friends and Stinging Nettles at almost ever cache.
Thanks.

20,410. Found with albida33 during a meander up to and around the Tamworth and Armidale regions.
Day 3 of our trip. Headed out after breakfast for what turned out to be a big days caching. We aimed to hit some of the trails around the region. Next stop of the day, and a quick find was made. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed off to the next one.

We had time for a little caching as we travelled from Bathurst to Hervey Bay and back to see the whales. We thoroughly enjoyed both and are grateful for the caches which helped make the trip more enjoyable.

Another great find. Thanks for hiding this cache for our enjoyment Whitey Wiskas
We are on an eight day trip to Hervey Bay. We saw the most amazing wild creatures close up at Hervey Bay. Whales are ugly but still so wonderful. We also saw some beautiful countryside, although everywhere is in dire need of rain. Thanks for your cache which helped us take a break from driving and have fun at the same time.
Day 30 Mainland trip
Out and about caching around Tamworth and surrounds with Tassie Trekkers and this was one we found. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the rural drive. The standard of hides and creativity of some were fantastic. A quick find. A lovely old house. TFTC

An easy find at GZ, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Happily we were able to find this cache while around this scenic area. We started early and finished late to get as many as possible. Nice to see well maintained caches. Thanks to Whitey Wiskas for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Hi there Whitey Wiskas.
Today was a drive from Tamworth to Moonbi Lookout (and return), logging caches along the way. The caches we found were all well placed, and the for the most part had pretty accurate coordinates. We can see that a lot of thought has gone into the placement of all the caches we found today.
All up we found 21 caches & DNF'd 3 in this cache run. Thanks for placing the caches. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 5m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** A gold coin.
Regards
Ian & Penny.

This olde structure doesn't look that homely from the outside [:o]
But somebody appears to inhabit it still
Possibly squatters ... who knows ??
I parked the geomobile a good distance away,
and strolled past for a quick cache find
If anyone was home,
they didn't notice me

We were on our way south again and wanted to pick up some more caches around the Tamworth area. This was a nice quick and easy park and grab kind of cache. There was not much traffic on the road. The cache log was soon signed and we continued on our way. Not sure that that the home is so sweet anymore. Thanks to Whitey Wiskas for this cache placement.
Our day caching is going well, I think we have already found more then we were hoping for the day and still plenty of time left before we need to head home. TfTc
Didn't see anywhere to pull over safely and there was a lot of traffic going by - school pick up time? Continued on to next one.
Second day at Tamworth - loved country and plenty to see scene, animal etc.
Some of the cache was brilliant create. it make me enjoyed myself. [^]
Thanks Whitey Wiskas for organising the cache and hunt [^]

I'm heading home to Canberra from Brisbane where I was visiting my Mum who has just had a hip replacement. She is 92, and going great guns, with walking much easier than when I last saw her. As a domestic slave, I am had an easy time - Mum didn't need much care which is great, so I did a little geocaching and walking with my GeoSchnauzers. I spent most of my time walking with Mum and ferrying her around. Had to give her needles for a couple of weeks too. Brought back memories of daily injections for my deceased wife, for her multiple sclerosis.
I got away as planned at about 2:00 pm, making for Stanthorpe for the night. I get here, and stopped for the cache, to stretch my legs, and to walk the dogs. I was on this road a lot forty years ago, there was nothing much here then as I remember. Interesting spot now. The cache was easy, thanks for bringing me here.
Yesterday, I tried to book my room in Stanthorpe. No luck, due to something called a Snowflake Festival. Never mind, try Warwick. No luck. Oh dear. Tenterfield. One room left, got it. Hmmm. Thought I would drive straight there just in case, and just as well I did. The poor bugger was at least quadruple booked. His internet was down, except apparently for his Booking.com connection, so he was trying to find rooms for people. He got me one in Glen Innes, which was out of range of the festival. Never mind, less distance to drive today, and more time for caching.
Very nice. There were muggles clearing the front yard. Nothing in my socks, perhaps they had already collected the weeds ...
Have a favorite point.
Find no 16 of 19 today.
Thanks, Whitey Wiskas

Just what everyone needs, a project. I have been known to be picking farmers friends/cobblers pegs out of my pants and socks as we ride down the road. Sometimes there is an advantage to be the pillion. SL TFTC
Great little spot not to much muggles out today thankfully just another cache for our road trip
After spending several months house sitting around the Central Coast, Sydney and Bateman's Bay it is time to head back to Queensland.
Day 2 of my drive northwards.
Plenty of caches in Tamworth and surrounds. Unfortunately I do not have time to find them all.
A quick find here today ... and then I walked back to the car without my GPSr.
Thanks for the cache.

Put in a new log. I was surprised just how many geocachers either do not sign and date the log or how many find it, sign and date the log and do not register their find. Amazing!
I don't know what Farmers Friend was until now, I'm luckily the weed hasn't flowered yet, so I don't bring any home with me.
