Without knowing it at time, this was PirateLinda’s and mine last find for the day… a couple of factors conspired to end our day early… school finishing and the local streets being flooded with muggles, finding a full set of ID resulting in a trip to Caloundra cop shop and this cache…

Even though we had the right idea, we missed the cache… more than once… I was ready to walk and log our first DNF…but it was PirateLinda who called “there it is”… OMG… tftc…

Found while out with Peppa for the day. Peppa looked all around, in and under to no avail. I read through all the logs. Lots of comments about looking and missing first time around and long skinny arms. I decide there are not many places it could be and do a little search and bingo

Another sneaky little Wesso cache. Lucky we are getting to know their style. After a couple of dnfs it was nice to snag one in the first couple of minutes. Thanks Wessos.

On holidays this weekend with my muggle family. I managed to get out and about for a few hours and my middle munchkin decided to join me Smile By join me I mean she sat in the car while I found some geocaches. One day I’ll convert her to the dark side Razz

I made my way to GZ, there was a few muggles in the park but the kids were too busy playing and the the mum was engrossed in her phone. Thank goodness for modern technology. Haha!

I made myself comfy and then had a sneaky feel around. Nope, not there. Hmm what about here? Whoop, there it is! I opened the wee container and gently plucked out the log. Not sure what the last finder is on about??? Definitely still a log here. Weird!

Thanks for the cache Wesso Family Big Grin

A quick find here while out and about during our Golden Beach holiday. Having seen Stockland's newest and most colourful legoland suburb in the making, I was attracted to the nearby green dots on my geo-map and so headed back to Caloundra via some of the dots in some other recent Stockland creations ... and from what I saw, it looks like they do a pretty good job of it.

Thanks for placing this and so many other hides in this area for us to find wesso family.

The last time I rocked up to hunt for this cache with my daughter, we couldn’t find a car park within coo-ee of it. There were also about 50 or a million kids in the playground so the internet must have been broken that day. We never got the chance to even look.

Today there were only a handful of kids in the area and none on the flying fox. I was desperate to get on that thing but we had to find this cache first. How hard is it to look for a cache when you are keeping one eye on an empty flying fox, while keeping the other eye on every kid in the park?

Mrs Woodyrothwell ended up finding the cache in an area I had looked at (I used the flying fox defense) and then it took us an agonisingly long time to get the log out. That poor flying fox was waiting for me all alone and wanting. Finally the cache was back in place and still there was no kid in sight to ruin my fun (like my own kids have). tftc

I'm out and about with Mrs Slow Puncture today in the wilds of Caloundra West. Sorry about the generic logs - it was a very busy day and I'm catching up logging as I am close to a milestone cache. Rather than driving to the caches we decided to walk, so my step count for the end of the day was close to 20,000, that could be why we had a bit of difficulty finding some of the easier ones, LOL! (that's my excuse anyway). Thanks for placing the caches for us to enjoy Wesso Family Smile (P.S. Must have had low blood sugar - it took us at least 20 minutes to find this one, it was very sneaky!)

Saturday. Wow – for a 1/1 this one was really hard! We must have looked for about 20 minutes. In the end, the spot where I’d looked several times, was not a good enough search apparently, as Mrs RIO found it hiding in that spot but found it from a different angle. Argh – I should have done the feel around.

This was the 9th of 11 caches found on today's trip.

Thanks ***Wesso Family***, for showing us this place. Smile

StreetWalkerNZ and I set out not long after 6:30 this morning to find some caches before the day got too warm. Our target area was Caloundra West / Bellvista where there were lots of caches, and SW wanted to avenge some previous DNFs as well.
Strangely, this was an instant find for SW today, after not finding it 18 months ago. Sat in the shade to do the paperwork, and just as he was returning the cache, a family arrived to play. TFTC.

Up here from Canberra, visiting my parents in Caloundra again ... of course I am finding some caches while I am up here Smile
I was looking on the map and realised there were 2 green dots ... a couple I had somehow Missed when I was up here last Christmas - I was a few days behind with logging my finds and I must have thought these two were a different two I had found and not logged yet ... so ... I figured I had better go for an evening walk and turn them into smileys Smile
TFTC - this was the first one I looked for ... interesting park - my granddaughter would love it (and I would enjoy playing on it with her) but she is in Canberra. Took me a few minutes to find it (in the second place I looked, the second time I looked there) which was enough time for about a dozen mozzies to find me - I was worried they would carry me away while I signed the log ...

Really wonderful to have such a great playground to ourselves on an over cast day. Enjoyed a few trips down the slides and on the swings! As for the hunt itself, we had to look in two spots multiple times before we finally spied the little fella. How was that not seen on the first look?!

27-Apr-18
This is our second find in QLD. We are introducing our Caloundra friends to geocaching and this was a good learning cache. We each looked in the spot at least once each, but finally Mrs. M took yet another look and made the find. We couldn't get the log out, even with Mrs. M's tiny hands and we had no TOTTS. However, we took a photo of the cache if the CO wants to see it.

We have several of these types of caches hidden back home in Decatur, IL, USA.

Thanks for the fun!

Just over one year after failing to find this one, I brought reinforcements and had another go. This time is was a mercifully quick find, as it was so hot, we really did not want to have to stay in the sun too long.
I was flabergasted as to why I had been unable to find that one last time. I thought it must have been some ingenious trick hiding spot. But really it was just a matter of doing a more thorough search. Razz

Travelling around Australia and currently in Queensland.

Caravan set up at Beerwah Sportsground so we decided to head out to find a few caches in the surrounding area. A list was constructed but with a late start it was dark o'clock when we returned home. Surprised

Twas after school time when we approached this one so not sure if we would gain a smilie. Cache was actually located after looking TWICE or was that 3 times. anyway all good until I dropped the lid! Red Face Spent far more time looking for that and was about to return to the geocruiser to find a replacement cache when tada there it was. Phew cache replaced. [B)]

An interesting day of walks, fave points, scenic areas. Glad we came to this region.

I took the chance today to look for some caches (I had to return early from the family holiday, due to work).

A productive hour or so of caching today, so I was expecting another find here. One star difficulty! But no luck. There was a family nearby to begin with, but the soon moved on so I could search with a little more intent. Always feel conspicuous searching near security cameras! But I had a good look, but no success. The only DNF of the day... at a 1-star cache. A bit disappointing!

**Smilie #4101**

We had seen, just recently, on a Facebook post, that the Wesso Family were all 'caravanned' up & heading away for a short spell so what better time to sneak into their territory & mount an invasion on some more of their caches & maybe pick up a few strays along the way! LOL ...

Wandered over to GZ & was lucky enough to find the cache in the second place I looked.
Nice & quick.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

06-Feb-16
On my way to the CO's Birthday Bash event, and seeing as this is the only other cache in the area that I have not smiley-fied, I figured I'd better grab it on the way. The D1/T1 rating made it look dead easy, but the recent logs had me just a tad worried and I was expecting a hard search, but the hint was handy and I only felt in a couple of spots to make the find, and didn't look too conspicuous. TFTC, Wesso family. And thanks for hosting the event today.

After the "Birthday Bash" event we headed out to find some caches.

Nice park at GZ, all is good with this cache.

Been here twice before but there were far to many muggles sitting at the GZ, today with small drops of rain, the park only had one family playing so I was able to locate this one Smile.

After recent DNF's I thought i better check this sneaky one out.....Guess what. it's still there!! Smile

A clue has been added to help you all (:P)

30-Dec-15
Searched for about 10 minutes with two of us. So a D1 didn't deserve any more time. Based on the D/T that was enough.

09-Nov-15
Had a fairly substantial search with Jasper dog until a muggle and grandkid turned up to play on the flying fox. Could not spy anything cache like. Walked around the estate and found some others then back here where we left the car - had another look but worker muggles having lunch and noticing the CCTV camera right near gz made us feel too conspicuous so had to give up for today....Sad

We decided to have a day clearing up some local caches that we hadn't got to yet. This one had us a bit concerned with two DNF's but we decided to give it a go anyway. What a great park this is - wish I was a kid again! We were out of sight of any muggles so we conducted a search. It wasn't too long before Marco spotted the little sucker. TNLNSL TFTC

Out and about for an afternoon drive and to grab a few caches along the way. The light was fading when I arrived nearby and as I strolled towards GZ I found a number of muggles in the area.

Eventually the muggles moved on the the cache was soon in hand.

Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

We had decided to try to complete the Difficulty / Terrain challenge and chose an area on the Sunshine Coast to target at least twenty-five different D/T combinations. We had no difficulty locating the cache but extracting the log was another story altogether! With our name in the log, we headed back to the car for the next cache.

Can't say we thought it was a good idea of the developer to put drainage pits in front of nearly everyone's house ... just imagine the mosquitoes that will breed!

Thank you for having placed the cache for everyone to enjoy Wesso Family Cool

Quick find though it blends in nicely! TFTC we love this new playground.

While waiting for our boat hire with Team Benders to happen, we popped over here to a "new" cache to log it in. Upon arrival, we found Egg Zachary and XenaWarriorFamily already looking. But is was a very quick Mrs RoddyC who had her hands on this little sucker. Had a chat with the Sunshine Coasters about caching in the area, then headed off for a lunch stop before out boat to attach the Yak! Found at 11.50 am on 24th June 2015. TFTC,

2TF @12pm with RoddyC, Eggszachary and XenaWarriorFamily.
Out on a special day to complete my DT grid and celebrate my birthday. We just had to wait our boat to the island so we were grabbing a few caches around.
We arrived at GZ to see someone walking around in circles with something in their hand.
Hmmm looks like a cacher to me. Wandered over and said "Have you found it yet?" Hello Eggszachary and XenaWarriorFamily. We all searched around but Mrs RoddyC was in the correct spot to uncover this one.
