This a new account but I found this cache with my mum (EmsDan1315) and my brother (maggies123) on 15-6-2024. Last one for the day. TFTC.
As an unfortunate bus passenger on that fateful day, this cache hit extremely close to home. I can thankfully still remember Ben's beaming smile from better times.. Thank you for placing this cache and keeping this tragedy in our community's consciousness - often many of us victims feel like it has become a forgotten/brushed aside event..
A day checking on all of the Adders Hides after a few DNF's were logged. GCHQ up to the usual trait of sending messages after a few DNF's with the need to check on the hides. There were only two that needed to be fixed, the rest were either a replacement of the container and/or replacement of a log book plastic bag. The rest were exactly where and as they were placed.
TFTC! 28 February 2024 11:40:20am 7452 thanks to Blackadders for the cache! Off to the Great Leap year Mega in Adelaide. A stop off along the way! Had to look up the event very sad.
My first find in Salisbury. As I won't be seeing my darling Anikka until later, I have some time to fill in some of the LGAs in Adelaide. TFTC and a quick find here.
In between work places for the day, wanted to grab a cache or 2. Will need to look this story up, TFTC.
After attending a nearby course today I needed to chill out a little and decided to find a cache or two before heading home. Not living in South Australia in 2002 I had to look this up. After finding the cache I headed back up the street where I was able to locate the memorial. Such a sad story.TFTC BlackaddersKeep smiling
Thanks Blackadders for this cache. 8am on a Sunday morning was a great time to locate and sign the log. I had the area totally to myself. I saw a dog walker as I returned to my car, and there was little passing traffic, and no trains.
Remembering Ben and the other lives lost on that day.

I had some business nearby earlier in the evening, and then started following the line of caches. When I saw who owned this one, it was a must do before heading home. I pulled up close by, and a train went past as I got out the car. Very lucky as no other trains went by during the remainder of the visit. A long freight train had also gone by at about 6.25pm so the coast was pretty clear.
I could faintly make out the voice of a local having a solo argument, quite animated at times, but very assured he was going to win it. I guess it depends on how many others were arguing back in his head. He was no bother, added to the distractions.
Armed with a torch, I headed in and turned out I didnt need it. Probably would have attracted attention anyways. I saw the cunning and precarious hide, and had very light fingers in retrieving this one. I_J had it right, very delicate affair. Success, I managed to thread the needle and get access to the container. Cache is in excellent condition, signed and very carefully returned as found. Thanks for the information in the description, and placing this one in memory.
Find #8273 at 7.07pm

This morning, I went to Salisbury for business, and I planned my trip to find some caches on the way. Tried 7 caches, and found 6, including one Letterbox Hybrid cache, two Traditional caches, one Multi cache, and two Mystery caches.
This was the third find for today.
Parked on the other side of the railway, and walked to GZ.
Checked here and there, then found the cache.
Carefully grabbed the cache, signed the log, and put it back.
Thanks for the cache, Blackadders.

A quick and sneaky cache before bed. Wasn't as hard to find as we expected.

Found while travelling from north to south on my way back home from a few days away. Always good to do a bit of a detour to find a few caches along the way. Thanks for the cache Blackadders!
Found with 2011*turtle and signed after eventually retrieving the cache from its position. TFTC
Took me a while but I found it on my own, oh apart from my hearing dog friend who was waiting for her owner to finish an x-ray. As I didn't have any equipment, I was not able to sign the log. I'll send a picture. TFTC
A visit to GZ today after the week long lockdown to find that the area is now finally clear of works pertaining to the upgrade of the rail system and it is now safe to replace the cache and place it back in play.
This cache has been in a disabled state for far too long and will probably be that way for many more to come.
The cache owner needs to resubmit a new listing when/if the location becomes available.

Still awaiting the work to be completed for the electrification of the rail line. Talk about wasting time, this should have been finished months ago but that is Government departments for you.
Still awaiting the electrification and area to be completed by the departments. They are taking their time.
Still awaiting the upgrades of the area to complete. They are taking their time.
The area of the railway crossing is still under construction due to the electrifying of the rail.
With the upgrade of the Rail service taking place it seems that the structure may have been upgraded also so am taking it off line until I can confirm whether the hide is still in place.
I started 2020 with some improbable caching goals that only lasted until mid February.
Then came Covid-19 and caching began to take a back seat.
But with restrictions easing and socially responsible caching again possible it is time to start filling the calendars again.
Another fun filled day for a menagerie of puzzle solving animals. A Starfish, a Snake, a Rat and an Owl headed out in search of smilies. Today we were chasing potions and anything else we came across.
Still making our way to the Mawson Lake Apothecary to grab so potions we called in here for this one. [^]
I didn't know the significance of the date but as I had the CO with me it was explained and he came along in case some maintenance was required. I managed to walk straight past it but then came back and it was obvious for a cacher to pick despite the clever camo. FP for me for the camo.
***Thanks Blackadders for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

A nice memorial and history lesson. I was living in Sydney when this happened, and couldn’t remember the details.
Besides rubbish, there are used needles at GZ so hang on to the kids.

Caching with TT016, PrincessAria1 & Elayna after watching Jumanji at the cinema...
Once we worked out where the entrance was and a bit of a search, the cache was located on the other side of the fence on the ground...
It was retrieved and replaced in the obvious spot...
A nice memorial cache...but like you said the area could do with a CITO...

I met up with Team Waldron at Salisbury this morning and we spent a pleasant half day finding a few caches as we made our way back to North Adelaide.
Most of the finds were previously solved Mystery caches, but there were also some Traditionals, Multis and Lab caches. All of the containers and contents were in good condition.
Thanks Blackadders for the cache.

I was out North (Gawler) today and had some time to fill, so geocaching was the obvious solution. I took the opportunity to target caches that will fill gaps on the Jasmer grid and the hidden date grid.
This one filled a gap on the hidden date grid.
I had a bit of a look around before noticing the point of difference.

Stopping on our way to a quiz night.....quick find while watching the train go by.
Jumped on a train and alighted at Salisbury. Found the cache, signed the log and raced back to the train. TFTC
Found after a short search and checking a couple of wrong spots. Had to look up the crash on the internet and it is a sad story.
Such a sad story here,
Soon spotted the hide on arrival to gz, cache is all good
After uni this morning at Mawson lakes I had a few hours to kill before I had to be home, did a few caches around the area but had the Alice in wonderland series as the main aim.

Took our time finding this one. I too remember the crash and how the very next morning cars were once again "getting caught" on the rail lines.

Took a bit, but Geo Kid had an idea and said it out loud and as saying it put hand straight on it... Great hide
Today after attending a podcast event, I was in the area and so I would visit various geocaches up north and then make it home for dinner. It took a long while to find this one, as I guess I was looking at this area incorrectly. I kept walking around GZ trying to find something around the threes or along the fence ground level, but nothing stood out, and it didn't help with a lot of litter around the place. As it turns out, I had initially looked at one of these spots where the cache was hidden, but it was the other two that didn't yield anything before finally spending some time not getting anywhere, reading some past logs, and then seeing the cache container.
The date 24/10/2002 wasn't explained properly in the geocache description, and I was expecting some formal memory/plaque here, but there was nothing. So I ended up doing some research later to find that the incident that happened nearby was in my memory. Such a shame, and it really improve a number of rail crossings from that point on. The investigation report that I was reading was quite interesting. A nice idea for a geocache memorial here Blackadders, thanks.

Today, I was on my way to a dental appointment in Salisbury, and had to cross the tracks. As I approached, the boom gates dropped and I waited with the other traffic. I recalled the accident that happened at this spot, and that they changed the light sequence crossing Salisbury Highway to prevent cars from banking across the tracks. For my safety.
I arrived early for my appointment, so I scanned the area and found this cache. Reading the description prompted me to research that terrible accident to find out more about it. I remember that ever since it happened, I always make sure I never queue across any tracks.
Thanks for the cache, Blackadders, and the tribute to those who lost their lives here.

When we arrived at GZ we looked around and one of us saw something slightly unusual. Closer inspection revealed the cache in a good hide. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks fir the cache.
What a lovely lovely tribute for such a tragic and unnecessary loss. Thank you for placing this cache so outsiders, like myself, can learn, and remember.
The cache was in great condition although it did have small lizard stuck securely inside the lid holder and it refused to leave so I signed the log and put it all back together again carefully so little lizard wasnt hurt
This area would be a great CITO section. There was a considerable amount of rubbish there so future finders just be mindful and, no, you dont need to touch ANY of the rubbish in any way to find the cache. TYFTC SLTNLN

This cache was a fairly quick find. Unfortunately this crossing still isn’t grade separated. Although the House of Schnitzel across the road looked good I had a meeting to attend after grabbing this one. TFTC

Eye Spied, Eye found, Eye Logged, Trinket left and cache replaced ! Very smart little hide ! RIP ben !
Firstly upon reading the Geocache Description... Sorry to hear of the tragic loss.
I was out and about in the "Zone" today or "On Fire" as some would say as I previously just mauled two DNF's prior to finding this one. I didn't find this hide straight away, but then I shifted my focus and the cache was quickly in hand [^] I feel my 'fire going out' ha ha as this wasn't an immediate find. Nice hide indeed. It won't get Muggled in a hurry
