This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 30 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

As mentioned previously, lid rusted shut.
Managed to get it open, took photos of all the log sheets smooshed in it (I’ve discarded them).
Left a clean sheet of paper inside and got the lid back on - but I’d advise against attempting to opening it to prevent deforming the container.

I stopped and checked this one out.
The container is there, but you cannot access the log.
The container needs to be replaced.
This needs some TLC from the CO.

A faint X put us in the right place and after a squeeze we found it. A first for grandson Thomas. Host rusted shut. Nice hide. Thank you.
Found it reasonably quickly though the cache definitely needs maintenance as it has rusted shut. Photo attached, TFTC.
No luck even though we're sure we had the right spot. Many components of GZ are now shiny blue and new. It's possible the cache has been removed.
Thanks for the cache. Nice island even in the winter rain and wind. Cache is not writable due to wet contents.
An early morning trip into town collecting some earthcaches before heading into The Shire for some more caching. With some spare time on hand we caught a ferry out to Cockatoo Island for another earthcache plus a few bonus caches. Thankfully another quick find to make the find. With the cache in hand we signed the log before replacing as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache joel.harnett.

Bit further than the way point but found it.
Needs to be fixed though as its rusted wet

Thanks for the hint - it certainly helped as the cache was a little further away from the waypoints than expected. TFTC
I thought this one was going to be easy, not many people around, good coordinates and the clue matched as well. However, no cache was there, so I had a really good look all over and around the structure. The main parts of the structure have very recently been replaced with bright blue, major fittings and during that replacement the section holding the cache would have been moved. I will watch to see if the cache has gone.
On the island caching with a group of friends from Newcastle and the Central Coast, nice easy find, TFTC
Found with Team737, mighty minions and BillHill531.

Thanks for the cache!
I was out today with a group of cachers from the Central Coast/Newscastle region where a waypoint for another cache led us to Cockatoo Island. The required information gathered, we all headed our separate ways, some doing the other caches on the island while others, including me, tackled the Adventure Lab. I was partway through that when I came across Banj5150 signing the log on this cache so made a very easy find.
Many thanks for the interesting history lesson in this amazing location.

The team today, consisting of the Team737 boys, with Mighty Minions, BillHill531 and TOMBI! descended on the Eastern Suburbs and Cockatoo Island to grab some information for a nearby 5/5 cache.
A quick find as we exited the tunnel. The log(s) are now jammed into the mint-tin, probably forming tiny little diamonds in the bottom due to the pressure... we scrawled out names on some upper scraps. Needs some owner attention.... Thanks for placing - its such a great spot to come back and fix up your cache....

Found whilst down in Sydney with a group including TOMBI! and Mighty Minions, and Team 737. We mainly came to attempt a cache requiring multiple mob locations with up to 10 people, so while we were here we did some easy ones. One of our mobs was on Cockatoo Island, so did all the ones here. Nice quick find for this one.
Log signed and cache replaced as found.

Accurate coords and good hint made this a quick find. Cache is almost jammed with logpaper. TFTC joel.harnett
Searched at my indicated GZ and found nothing. Checked hint and saw something that matched about 10m away. From about 5m I could see it. Cache has rusted and lid is broken off but luckily contents were dry but log sheets had been stuffed in real tight. Time for CO to clean it up. TFTC
Now that does this button do? Ah instant cache delivery. Thanks for making my exploration day at Cockatoo island more fun. Tftc
Stopping off for a quick cache while in the area with Mizcupcake today. Muggles had kept things a bit short but we managed to make the find today. This was a quick find after a look around and we were happy to complete signing duties and replace. Done and replaced. TFTC!
Quick find in the early hours after camping overnight before the muggles arrive TFTC
Sydney Feb 21 Trip. Day 3. I joined Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and Tankengine for a weekend trip to Sydney to attend a few Community events and do as much caching as possible. The second day was a leisurely walk down to circular quay doing lab caches and multi way points before boarding the ferry to Cockatoo Island for the second Community event of the weekend. The island was an eye opener with history from all different ages and a great collection of cachers to talk to. The afternoon was the trip home via the bonus for the Tank stream adventure lab series, then a but of suburban caching before the final trek to Goulburn and then Canberra. What a great weekend.
After a fun ferry ride we were on the island and began our exploration.
Thanks for the cache joel.harnett

Found whilst out and about on cockatoo island. It was great fun to walk around here and find so many different cache types. TFTC.
Headed up to Sydney with fitzy_1965, albida33 and Tankengine for the weekend attending some Community Celebration events and caching inbetween.
Today we were heading to Cockatoo Island for our 2nd CCE. Caught up with the others from Canberra and joined the signing as Capital Crunchers for the day.
A cool find here today.

This was the third of 9 finds for the day. After finding ‘Plinth’ Mizmaz continued to take me around the island on the highlights tour. This one was a quick find after noting the hint, and it looks like the cache is almost as old as the fixture it is attached to. SL. TFTC.

Cache 7205 on 28 Feb 2021.
While the caching is good in the ACT and we have been able to continue caching during lockdown in 2020, a change of scenery is needed after a year of pretty much caching in our own back yard.
So this weekend I am finally getting to Sydney for a geocaching mission with Fox in Jox, TikvaNZ and ZQX. Yay!!!! The main goals are to pick up a few more of the George’s River paddle series and attend the event on Cockatoo Island, but we have picked out plenty of other caches we can grab along the way for our goals and stats to make a solid weekend of caching!
This cache: quick find!

After attending PPE’s 20 years event, we cleaned up the caches on the island. Thanks!
#6902 For the second weekend in a row, a geo-road trip ! This time to Sydney to attend a special Community Event on Cockatoo Island joined in the car by Kittykatch & Cosmonaut97. There were a number of other notable Canberra geocachers heading up and staying at our hotel, so it was a merry weekend of eating, drinking and caching. But before we got there we dropped in to Picton to run the local parkrun at 8am, grab breakky and a few local caches too. An earlier attempt at the local Adventure Lab failed for me due to intolerable traffic, but no such issues today. So after grabbing these we headed on to Camden. I was pleasantly surprised by Camden with it mix of lovely parks and heritage features. So then on to our hotel in Sydney. While I grew up in Sydney, I've never been to Cockatoo Island before, so I was quite keen to attend the event there. It was good to see an Adventure Lab there too. After the event, we headed back into town after a very pleasant ferry ride back to Circular Quay. Another event down at Homebush Bay topped off the weekend.
A quick find.
Thanks joel.harnett

Although I arrived late I managed to join up with some of the Capital Crunchers to add smilies for all the caches on this island. It did mean I had to go to some of them by myself after they had all caught the ferry, and this was one of them. Thanks for this one joel.harnett
23,714. Found with minniek, Tankengine and albida33 and other Canberra region cachers during a Sydney weekend run attending some Community Celebration Events and generally having a caching good time.
Day 2 of our Sydney trip attending three Community Celebration Events, finding many other caches and generally having a great time. Caught the ferry over to Cockatoo Island this morning for the event, and grabbed the rest of the island caches at the same time. This was a wonderful adventure and a nicely hidden cache. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed on to the next one on the list.
Thanks joel.harnett !!

Found this quite fast... Actually it was Imi that found the little thing. But unfortunately the cache is badly maintained. A fresh log would be great! Thank you!

Finally, a day off from work! Yeeee! Took advantage of this day, hopped on a ferry and went downtown Sydney but with a quick stop on Cockatoo Island. We dedicated the whole day to some quality geocaching and exploring. We tried to get as many caches as possible today... Walking around all day from early morning till 10 PM.

We are back in Australia this year, despite these rough COVID times. We are here for work, but every now and then some time off allows for a bit of geocaching. Visited Adelaide for a day but after that we spent most of the time in Sydney Olympic Park.
It is my first time in South Australia and NSW, so it is very nice to get these state souvenirs!

Found after barking up the wrong tree for a while. Quiet day after showers predicted but nice and sunny! TFTC!
Good find - used the clue to pinpoint at Fitzroy Dock .. the paper needs to be fixed up inside the Cache.
I’m travelling with 2 ladies that have a great set of pipes but nothing like this
Found while spending the day in and around the harbour.
Cockatoo Island was surprisingly quiet for a summer Saturday afternoon - good for caching.
Took a while to spot what the hint referred to but reading previous logs helped. Then it was a quick find.

Discovered today on a tour around Cockatoo island. I give this a difficulty level 10....not due to the cache, but the millions of nesting seagulls during spring. Good luck!!!
