Another cache to leave some TLC.Caching with RoddyC chamad and imbunda. TFTCache Adopted by Wesso Family
An early morning Event atop a peninsular on Lake Ewen Maddock drew us to a day's caching around the area. On the way to and from the Event, now Challenge caches were published. It was fun having the CO with the group as they were found and various First To Find claims were made. After the event, we enjoyed so coffee and refreshments at the coffee van situated in the car park. Then it was off to find a variety of caches with hatzofff, Imbunda and chamad in the GeoVehicle.Replaced the missing cache for the CO.Log signed and cache replaced as found on July 14 2024. TFTC, Wesso Family
Met up with geo-friends this morning and set off to find some caches in this area as I need heaps for a Challenge. We couldn't find this one but the CO had asked RoddyC to replace it for him. All done signed by all and replaced where CO asked. TFTC
After a DNF sometime back we thought wed beat it and we did last drop of the day down the road and a few minutes reading the logs helped us immensely TFTC from the Jester Kiwi 13 and the Princess
TUFTC. I should learn not to listen to my geostepdad and trust my instincts. He had us looking well away from this cache. I was spinning when we found it.
Wow, this was a long time on the ToDo list! Its only 8 years and a few months since I first went looking for this and I remember scratching around in the gingers for a good while before giving up. Well I was way off but now I have seen the light and found it. RovingWombat and I had a laugh about while signing the log. Thanks for the great times 8 years ago and today.
Loved this little hide! After parking up at the other nearby park I strolled over, around the nesting plovers and towards GZ. I was scratching my head, but after reading logs I soon came up with the goods. Thanks for the cache wesso family!
I have only ever been to Mooloolah Valley once before and it was on a caching mission. I think it was with my daughter at the time and I believe we got muggled out at this hide. I remember it well in whatever half-baked memory I have left because it was the only cache we missed. It has taken forever to come back to avenge it. Thank goodness it is still here.We had actually decided to use the park to have lunch. Gone are the days when I ponder over why they would waste money on tables and chairs in random spots, and instead try to use them.We didnt think we were going to get a car park because there were two spots left and one car parked in both of them. We were getting cranky at the selfish person who had taken both of them until we saw an elderly gent coming out of the public toilet. We forgave him when we saw that he had stopped for an emergency because who hasnt? This was our last hide of the day because I had a rendezvous planned with the smoker to try a Turducken. I also had a carton of beer waiting for me at the smoker. tftc
My Mrs and I moved to the area recently so were starting to explore our local caches. After a little poke around the Mrs saw something a little odd and by true caching fashion we were drawn to the cache. Forgot our scribble stick this time whoops but wont forget next time!
Saturday. Out on a day trip with oz_bean_counter at the wheel! A great day was had by all.
We had visited here before, so just stopping in to log some TB visits.

Headed out and about with the Slow Punctures today. The plan didn't go to plan, which was good, because we had a great time despite the plan!!! This was one of many caches grabbed on the drive from Brisbane to Landsborough to Maleny and on to Mooloolah and back home. Epic day, and thanks for making it better by providing some caches to find!
I have seen some caches of this style before, so it was relatively straightforward, though I did appreciate the elegance of it. Well done! Throwing in a FP for good measure.

After reading some comments, we moved our heads away from the bushes and looked somewhere else. Tftc
In town for a wedding, had a few hours to kill so thought I’d go for a few caches. This one was great. Originally I was barking up the wrong tree but soon enough was able to reflect on my errors and had the cache in hand. Thanks for the cache!
Cache was found after a short search. Replaced log as existing log is tatty and unusable. TFTC
Very cool! Had the wrong idea at first. After reading some logs, found it quickly. Thanks for the hide!
After an unsuccessful search for a new cache, I decided to stop here, hoping that the CO from the new cache might reply to my message. Such wasn't the case.
Here however, I parked nearby and walked to GZ. When I got there, I looked around and something didn’t quite make sense. Now why would that be there?? Quick find. Log sheet is a bit tatty, but it still dry. Sorry, I had taken all my replacement bits & pieces out of my car. TFTC and for the adoption Wesso.

Found it so hard we looked in the wrong spot until dad moved something and we where like what and then he moved it and said found it great hiding spot love it basically a pole away
Didn’t take long for the geohub to locate this cleverly hidden treasure (after we thoroughly searched the obvious hiding foot and realised it wasn’t a decoy). Found while out and about on a lovely Sunday drive in the countryside. Thanks for keeping this one alive Wesso in such a beautiful area.
It’s a group assault on Booloumba Creek that has seen a keen and enthusiastic team assemble at 6:30am (that’s the pre-dawn 6:30) in Carseldine to make our way North…
The team is nikid1, snickersallan, kolour, Willis007, chamad and I… so with a plan to visit A Good Egg, (excellent suggestion nikid1) first we drove, well I didn’t, I just talked, for a couple of hours through the mist/fog…
You can have the best plan, well thought out, constructed and mapped… but get enough cachers together and it’s lucky to last an hour… today was no exception…
As the day draws to a close, and it appears one of the goals for today just isn’t going to happen, there was time enough to shove a few park’n’grabs into the bag…
It’s dark now… and the headlamp actually made this easier… one of those Wesso Family caches where you stop and say… if it looks like a chook, and walks like a chook, it must be a cache…
tftc…

A great day of caching with Nikid1, Kolour, Snickersallen, Peppa and chamad.
We were starting to lose light and people as two of our party decided to make the long journey south.
We arrived at gz and started the hunt for the cache. This one was great, I loved it. A fav point from me.
Thanks Wesso Family for the cache.

Today was a Phonenix day, after the plans for a particular walk were postponed and people scrambled to make further plans. This small fun group raised from the ashes and decided to head north and grab a Good Egg. After a little organising, we had a meeting spot and now a car or two for the drive up. We grabbed a couple of quick caches along the way before getting to our meeting spot. As with all good plans, they are “STC - Subject To Change”. The day was fun and full of laughs and quality caches. Would do this again, great day out, thanks all.
Continuing our drive down the road we came to this cache. It was getting dark by now so we were walking around with torches and phones all lit up. Not suspicious at all. It was Peppa who found this tricky hide, nice I have not seen this type before so another to added to my possibly hides list.
Thanks for the cache and the fun hide, great place to stop. Log signed and cache replaced as found, it was onto our next one. A favourite point here.

I was very happy to be invited along to a group caching adventure in the Sunshine Coast hinterland with Chamad, Willis007, Peppa, nikid1 and snickersallan. A total of 22 caches for me.
After our finds in the Conondales, we headed back towards Brisbane finding some caches along the way. A quick stop here in the dark and Peppa found it before I even had time to look. Clever hide. Tftc

We used the sunny weather today to take my muggle brother to Eudlo.
I noticed this cache, and remembered that we hadn't found it years ago. Now not a problem! Found it, and continued to Eudlo.

Wesso Family I found your cache Village Green on 12/6/2022, 4:15 pm. This is my find 3513 and find # 14 today. Searching around for half an hour until something clicked when I reread logs and looked at the photos. Glad to get the smiley on this one. Log sheet damp and falling apart. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Surprisingly quick find as the arrow of the GPS was pointing to an area that didn’t give me a lot of options. A quick check revealed the cache in its hiding spot. The log is damp and becoming tatty but still signable. Thanks Wesso Family
12:41:00 PM. Looked in the wrong spot and then spied something. The better half said I looked there, well not good enough. Found the sneaky hide and log sighed. Thanks for the cache Wesso Family.
Really cool hiding spot. This was our first cache so it was a nice little adventure. Thanks for the fun
Muggle65, Brislions and l met early and headed up the coast for a day's caching. We had a set list of target caches and managed to find all of them today. Thank you for the fun
Muggle65, The Green Geckos and I headed up on to the Sunshine Coast today. We had a couple of caches for target today.
My haul today was 11 caches.
We had lots of fun.
Sorry for the generic log

An easily overlooked cache. Needing this D/T , Bris & I went to the park for a potential Easter egg hunt. Instead we scored a find. Thanks for hiding this one.
Out finding a few caches with Mr CuriousQuest. After parking the geomobile, I checked my phone and was surprised just how close to GZ I had parked. As I got out of the geomobile, I spotted something a bit out of place. Closer inspection revealed the cache. I was adding our names to the log before my geobuddy even got out of the geomobile. {:D} TFTC
Thought it might take ages but turns out it was a quick find. Great idea for a hide! TFTC
Kept us guessing for a while. But found it in the end. We were looking in the wrong place the "hole" time!! Nice hide.
TFTC smile 10501 out and about with miss millie geo dog and Snickersallan great caches, great day ,good weather loved this area good variety of caches

Stopped in town after a nice bushwalk nearby. Checked the map and there was a green dot waiting to be discovered. Great hide!
Tricky find and amazing camouflage!
On reflection, this was a really good cache!

A cache worthy of the Wesso brand. First find on my 2-day bicycle tour. A lovely place to reflect on caches found and not. This is my first find of three attempted caches this morning so I am stoked to be on the score sheet.
Day 3 Beerwah. Caching with the Snakepitters.
Had a full day planned, including several AL, but the day didn't go quite as planned as the AL app. seemed to have taken time which left us quite frustrated.
Our day took us through some wonderful countryside & up to some loations with magical views over the Sunshine Coast, a ownderful scenic loop.
A sneaky hide That wasn't in the 1st place we looked,
Thankyou Wesso Family for placing this cache.

Our final day in Beerwah, today was to venture out and do the Venture labs and pick up a few other caches for the day, however it was not to be with the geocaching update affecting the the venture lad when we were halfway through our second, put a stop to that. We still managed to grab a few. Off to Kilcoy tomorrow, a day of rest, washing and then off to Somerset dam.

I'm heading north for a few days to escape the world and all other people (save for a plus-one who is driving and indulging my geocaching en route). We're aiming for the Sunshine Coast, but have spent most of the day in the hinterland, initially to avoid traffic on the highway, but now because geocaches need me. For some time a request for a facilities break has been happening and as we roll into Mooloolah, a nice park is seen and we pull up there for said facilities and inevitably, a swing in the playground.
While messing about, I check the app to see a geocache closeby. Just across the road and with 21 favourite points. Well, shall we go for a short stroll? I think we might! As we walk I also notice it might be something tricky, given its rating.
Recent rains means Village Green is really living up to its name and we wade through the long grass towards GZ. I made a silly assumption and went burrowing into the bushes, only to find spiderwebs and that I was some metres from where we ought to be. I extricated myself, waited for a muggle to pass and we carried on a little farther.
Not super sure what to look at yet, I touched a thing and discovered the geocache. Quite literally by accident. Though, maybe I just subconsciously noticed it and checked. Either way, sneaky and clever hide; and we've found it. The little container was plucked out for the admin duties before being replaced as found and we head back to the car. This was a cool little bonus find for the day. Thanks for hiding this one Egg Zachary, and Wesso for looking after it for so long

Caching with my main squeeze, Oddiewan.
We have been working long hours, one of us not for a grateful company, and so ran away for the weekend for some relaxation, sunshine, and a change of scenery.
Oddiewan asked how close are we? My reply was, we’re right on top of it. Used the car to block view of cache from neighbors of the park. A quick find for us because we saw something that didn’t really make sense.
Thanks for the fun, Wesso Family

We decided it was Time to get away from the rat race and have a weekend away geocaching in the Sunshine Coast. Taking the long way home.

The local village green had some muggles on the nearby table but the trees provided enough cover to extract the cache! Quick find!
It looked like this one was going to be a DNF as we pulled up. There were a tripod of three muggles seated at the table. A rough calc had the cache just before the muggles so it was at least worth a look. Arrived at GZish and found the cache in the second spot I checked. Well that saved some time and we didn't even draw the attention of the muggles. Nice hide Egg Zachary.
Very well hidden but found it easily thanks to my nerdy partner - loved the simple but different hiding spot! Took him under 30s to find after I’d looked right over it only seconds before!
This one eluded me last time, but was easily found today. I'm certain I looked there previously, maybe I just didn't apply enough pressure. Glad to turn this frownie into a smilie before heading to the local bakery to support the economy.

Log signed at 12:39 and cache returned as found. Thanks for the smilie **Egg Zachary**. This log is trackable.

I made this one much harder than it should have been, reading the logs and convincing myself it must be THERE, when in fact it was somewhere I should have thought to look in the first place. After 5 minutes of no luck I turned around, spotted something and there it was. Tftc Egg Zachary
Yep another fav point. Some great caches in the hinterland. This was a tricky one, so easy to bypass. Tftc
The day starting to get on for our super fun geo adventure, we decided on dropping by mooloolah for this popular park hide.
Noting the d/t i put my thinking cap on, and had it pretty quickly.
Great urban hide thanks egg zachary!
Have another fave for the collection!

Well that was tricky! We were pleased to find it on our second attempt at this one. All good with the cache. TFTC
Found it in the 2nd spot I looked them took 3 goes to get it coz Its a slippery little sucker. Lovely little park here too. We have driven through town many times but never stopped
I had looked at this spot last time I was here, but not thoroughly enough, with a bit of encouragement from a friend today, I didn’t give up and found the cache tftc
We had been here previously when it was missing. Today it took us a while to find. The very first spot we looked at - it turns out not carefully enough - was the place where we found it after several minutes searching fruitlessly elsewhere. A very good hide and FP awarded.
I realised as we were driving to this one, that I’d looked for it before! With no luck!
So I was hoping with three of us we’d have some luck today!
As miner birds swooped us, 1minniemoo and I looked high and low and back and forth. After a rather embarrassing amount of time 1minniemoo moved something and there it was!
Clever hide!

We weren't sure how we'd go with this one today. Wombles&Co had been for a previous visit here and come up empty, but noticing the container had recently been replaced we figured it was at least safe to assume it would be there anyway.
So parking the car, we headed over to begin our search, oblivious to the noisy miner birds swooping us until 1GiantPanda told us, and pointed out the nest up above.
Trying not to disturb them unnecessarily, we began our search. And it turned out the cache was in a spot I first expected it to be yet we still didn't get it on first look. We did of course search all the other obvious places too, and knew we must be missing something. Almost ready to give up, we began to head back towards the car, Then I tried that spot again and that sneaky cache revealed itself.
Fresh log signed, we replaced and headed back to the car, leaving the miner birds knowing their eggs were safe once more.
Thanks for the cache Egg Zachary.

We discovered a possible hide rather quickly. It looked like something had been removed recently and there was no container in the hide. To be sure we sent a pic to a previous finder and it was confirmed that the cache used to be in that location. Looks as if it is gone... Sent a photo to CO.
This is a really sad face as finding the cache would have filled an empty spot in our D/T- grid...

Found it!! Looking in all the wrong places. Turned around and there it was. No need to be searching through the bush.
Nice cache. Looking in all the wrong places for awhile but then turned the other way and found it. TFTC!
Glad I did my 'research' on this one - found straight away on a rainy day . Log still not replaced but makeshift paper to sign. TFTC
We started looking in redicuous places and were about to give in but at last it was spied.
My goodness, very nearly a DNF for me. After rereading the recent logs I returned to the hunt with more determination. Success! Upset some ants, sadly. Thanks for this challenging hunt, Egg Zachery.
