Out for a caching bike ride this afternoon. With a cold wind blowing and a fair bit of traffic about, Ms M was starting to lose the will to live. Glad we ended up on the correct side of the railway line. Biked into the park for a quick find. Ignored the bike jump on the way out.

Was here nearly 2 years ago, glad to turn it into a smiley. Wasn't where I expected. Found with Busybee. Tftc
First Geo after moving to the mount. Introduced the flat mates and oh boi of we go. Happy Happy TFTC
Took longer than it should have done but in the end a relatively straightforward find.
After a long day of Geocaching, it’s nice to have an easy find to finish. Geo pooch had a great run in the park before the long drive back to Hamilton.
Woohoo so good to be able to cache again in level3!! Came over to Tauranga today and keen to find a few caches. Great start here TFTC
We were on our way to the movies and had a few spare minutes, so we ducked into this lovely park for the first time. We had to navigate a couple of muggles who were camping nearby, but after some hunting we found what we were looking for. TFTC!
Driven past this loads of times, but never stopped. Looked in a few places before finding the nicely hidden cache, thanks
Nice easy night find on the way to the supermarket. Not to cold and no muggles about. TFTH
In Tauranga for the birth of my first grandchild, a wee girl. Having a wee break and thought I’d grab some Caches. Tftc
We were in the beautiful port of Tauranga New Zealand for the day on Holland America's Amsterdam. Our main mission for the day was to hike up Mount Maunganui and to try to find the five caches that we did not try to get a year ago. That would leave a D5/T5 cache that required a professional guide to try to find. We let that one go. We did find the other five though.
We then walked a few miles along the beach and in the city and found four more caches. We did have two DNFs in that part of the day.
Thank you to each of the COs for their efforts and for their caches.

This cache: We got to within 100' of GZ and realized that we were on the wrong side of the railroad tracks and there was no way to get to the cache, due to the fence on the other side. So we walked about 1/3 of a mile to the next railroad crossing and while Salts waited in the shade of some trees, Marbles crossed the tracks and walked the 1/3 of a mile back to the cache. It was a Quick Find.

Out for the holiday for some more geocache fun. Was going past this reserve and also didn't know it was here. Once we were at GZ it was an easy find. Thanks
While visiting from Ohio on the *Viking Orion,* I was able to get out and go on a moderately long geobike ride today using the folding bicycle I brought along on the cruise. Of course I approached from the wrong side, but luckily being on a bike I could just slip through over the tracks without incident. Cache was a quick find once I got where I needed to be.
Just having been at the Rising Tide for an end of year catch up with work colleagues and Tparty was planning an introductory walk for a couple of soon to be converts. As we walked back to the car it was decided that there was no better time to experience caching for the soon to be non muggles. The latest convert was in charge of the device and she was quickly on to it and had the cache in hand and we logged as cts

Having a “quiet one” down the road, and couldn’t pass up the opportunity of grabbing this nearby cache. Congratulations to sumars on her first find! The flowers were a picture on the pohutukawa trees today. A nice easy find with ccrichie and sumars. Logbook is full. Signed as cts. TFTC
Short walk from the street and the cache was a quick find.

Someone put the five move checkmate on Tamara at the NZ inter school chess championships and she got knocked out early. So we quickly whipped out to find a geocache.
Must be going blind. Had to come back with my friend Supernanny to locate and it was practically staring at me.

I'm glad I read the description when I first parked since there were railroad tracks in my path. After moving to a better location, the approach was much safer. After a couple of peeks, I saw the cache looking at me. TFTC.
Nice cache quick find! 6th for the afternoon finish work at 1 and have till 3.30 before school and daycare pick up!

Nice wee park to wonder early this morning while staying overnite at the mount.
Took a while. Must have been dislodged in a storm. Safely back where it belongs.
As CamCat1 had already found this cache, I went on to GZ while she picked up pinecones. Quick easy find. Cheers
Ha ha....phone gps wanted me to stop in Maunganui Ave...
Luckily I went round to Newton Rd. !!!!!

My partner and I are new to geocaching so this one took a bit of searching for us. It was in a clever hiding spot. It didn't require any climbing for my 6 foot tall partner to reach. I, on the other hand, would have had to climb slightly.
Took abit of climbing and searching h8gh and low before I spotted this one. Glad it wasn't any smaller otherwise I would of missed it. Only just saw something abit too straight and sure enough a nice log to sign (: thank you
Our first find in Mt Maunganui and what a cool spot it is! Neat hide, helpful comments assisted in the find. TFTC
Looks like I was first for the new year, also my first of the year. Lovely little quiet spot. Good hide in a nice little spot. TFTC
After climbing halfway up the tree and disturbing a bird's nest because of all the misleading logs I climbed back down and found it at headheight instantly.
Fun hide. Looked all around the tree from the ground, read all the past logs and changed elevation and searched again. Finally spotted this well-placed cache. TFTC
Cache number 3635. There were a few rabbits spotted on my over to GZ. A train also went by before I got there. I then walked around a few times. Climbed up a little had a look. All this did not produce a cache. I then sat down and read some of the logs. A second search finally brought results. Nicely hidden. The camo worked well. Thank you for the placement.
I managed to slip in a quick bit of caching on the way to Bunnings. It took quite a while for the GPS to settle - it liked the fence for quite a while. I eventually resorted to reading the description and some logs, after which it was a quick find. Nicely hidden. Thanks.
On a trip over the Kaimais to escape the fog/rain & enjoy some lovely mid-winter BOP sunshine instead. Was expecting more muggles but enjoying having the area pretty much to myself this afternoon. GPS wanted me closer to the fence but a quick check of past logs hinted at climbing .. Circled the tree several times & took a moment to spot the well hidden cache - nicely done. Cache signed & replaced as found, on my way again! TFTC
I'ts been a while and as other plans had been disrupted due to rain it was time to catch up on all those logs, this being but one of about 250 of them.
Another trip in the company of HKCB and we were over this way after having to change our previous plans for a big days tramping so better to be close to town clearing out a few we hadn't got before. Working through the caches around Welcome Bay so that another clear spot appears on the map. Must say we are enjoying the darkness in the morning so that we can get into the area while others are still asleep
A nice and quiet spot as we continued our journey along the Mount before working our way down to Papamoa before we head back home
Thanks for the cache thanks for the placement

It's funny how Geocachers tend to see some "bad things" as "good things" - our car got a nice stone chip in the windscreen. This park was a nice 1km walk from Novus, so while the car windscreen was being repaired, I set out to track this one down.
Locating the park was easy enough. Mind the rabbit holes & rabbit pooh! No rabbits out today, but plenty of evidence that they were there!
Phone was sending me over the fence, but I knew that wasn't right, so started using the Geosense to locate this. Climbed up & around quite a bit, but could not locate it after about 10 minutes. Sat down to have a think & re-read some old logs. Plucked a few tiny clues from the logs & had the cache in hand very soon after. Awesome camo! Signed log & returned to it's little hideout. Great little hiding spot & great little park - I never saw another soul until I returned to the footpath! TFTC!

A nice little park which we located the shortest entrance to. A quick find. Was surprised how busy the area was for a Saturday morning. TFTC

Visiting from Hawkes Bay and enjoying exploring the area. A little climb helped with this one. TFTC
Man there were heaps of rabbits here at 4.30pm. Sneak up on em from the Newton Road side. Great camp on this one! TFTC and the rabbit spotting
Had no wifi so relied on GPS alone. A good find for Master Warrior. TFTC
Must be a good day for me today. I had just finished searching for another one nearby that I had previously searched for unsuccessfully. However I found it today and thought I might try this one again as well since I had also looked for this one unsuccessfully before. However like previous logs say it is so simple. My GPS had told me to go to the other side of the fence which I thought "that can't be right" and it wasn't. On the reserve side.
Quiet reserve on a Sunday morning, a little scramble and cache in hand. Simple but effective hide. TFTC.

After reading some logs I thought I would have to climb high, but actually it wasn't very high. Nearly in the first place I looked - happy me.
#561- came for another look today, this will have been my 3rd attempt. I brought the 3yr old told him to climb the tree, then I look up & there it is!!!! So simple, but devious at the same time. Glad to finally tick this one off. TFTC
This one was very mysterious and I hope all the best for the next finders of this amazing treasure
It was just getting dark so we made this the last one for the day. Once we changed our elevation the cache was a nice quick find. TFTC
