Sadly, this evil little cache has gone with the upgrades to the car parking area. Time to put this one to rest. Thanks for all the fav points. In total this cache has earned 34 fav points, which equals 41% of the total finds. Not bad.
No luck today, pretty busy with Armageddon on but were passing and thought we'd try again.
7th for the night.
Gf bolted past it to search.
My slow and steady won this time

It was really well concealed. Took us a while to find it (and a while is an understatement) probs took longer cause we were over thinking it and relying too much on the cache description. Super glad we found it (cause now we can eat). TFTC
Finally found a way into the parking lot.. This one had me scratching my head.. I had a fairly certain idea, that it was _not_ the dangerous, but quite obviously looking thing there.. which was also correct.. it didn't help that a guy was mowing the grass in the carpark around me while I was there..
After extending the search area a bit, I hit jackpot
Found at 11:45 - #8597 - on a 5 week trip in New Zealand

Started my birthday with a cache. Watched gymnastics all day. Have now left the venue with another cache found.
Ha ha .....very cool cache here thanks !
Definitely warrants a favourite point for the crafty construction....
Thanks for the fun TNXPro.
And thanks to Billelle for taxiing me around !
Made it all so much easier!

Teamed up with Merlot58 and Aiden29 to form team JAM. Found parking despite Armageddon and set about finding this one. Something was not right and it proved to not be the cache. Decidedly dodgy. We went and found another cache and came back. Some further searching finally allowed MrsJag50 to located the cunningly hidden cache which was in plain view.
Headed to Tauranga for a long weekend of caching with Merlot58 and Jag50. Plenty of muggles out and about with Armageddon on and the carpark pretty full. We were a bit distracted by something obvious but also a bit too dangerous to be fiddling with. Decided to expand search area and it wasn't too long before Mrs Jag noticed the cache. Very sneaky indeed.
What a sneaky little hide this is! We were initially distracted by something at gz that looked totally out of place but looked far too unsafe to fiddle around with. Deciding we needed to search elsewhere we spread out and Mrs Jag soon found the very well hidden cache. A bit evil really but I loved it so a fav point given
Popped down here to look for this one - even now earlier in the afternoon folks were arriving for the car racing that was to take place that evening. So this was the only one we looked for - will have to save the other, no doubt formidable hides, for another time.
Pretty pleased to be able to drive right up to GZ or thereabouts and hopped out to take a look. I got a bit distracted by a spot I thought might be the right place to look and spent a bit of time there before it dawned on me we might need to look elsewhere.
So that's what we did, applied a bit of a grid search to a thorough ferreting about of GZ - and oh yes, finally got our hands on the cache. That is a tricky little hide to be sure. Signed the log and carefully replaced as found. No muggles watching us despite the folks about so all good here. Nice job - FP.

Over in Tauranga to visit an old and infirm friend and after visiting him and the RV Centre we decided we needed to do a cache before heading home. This was our second visit here and we were not leaving without it. We looked here, we looked there. We looked up. We looked down. We looked all over and were wondering just what we were missing. We read the logs, again and again. What we SHOULD have done was trust the GPS. Because when Mr S finally did, suddenly he had it in hand. BUT I CHECKED THAT. I DID. We over thought this one. Have a FAV for the workout.
Sneaky. Very sneaky. Should have guessed.
Thanks TNXPro. Very grateful to turn this one into a smilie at last.

We had heard that TNXPro had some great caches and we were not disappointed. We set out to get the three at Baypark this being number one and thankfully there was hardly any muggles around so we were able to search in peace. This was our fastest find of the three nice to be challenged a little bit. TFTC
Today there was someone practicing reversing their car and some motorcyclists doing some skills training but we managed to locate three caches in this area without being noticed... totally helped that it was very overcast so most muggles were probably at home watching a movie. The GPS led me to the exact area but nothing looked out of place... and then I remembered how clever this CO is with his hides and I gave something a go... third time lucky I picked the right one! Thanks TNXPro
Second time looking still can’t find baby was getting grumpy so will come back a third time to look! Any more hints would be great haha
Being that work here a fair bit i thought it was time that i got another one of these around the arena. Second time looking for this one and this time i left with a smile. Another evil little hide with good camo. I was going to try look for as i left work after the Jetsprints but thought better of it with the amount of muggles leaving. So came back. Had a great view of the red sunset so took my time and enjoyed that too.

Nice and quiet here today so could pull up right next to cache. Had four sets of eyes and looked at an obvious point of interest first which turned out incorrect, then homed in on the right place and found the cache shortly after. Clever hide, in good condition. FP added. TFTC.
After watching Brian Adams bird said let’s get some caches instead of sitting in the cue to get out. Had a look around for a little while and close inspection of the electric thing we decided we would log a DNF but bird read a few more old logs and as they said the coordinates were Bag on amazing camo TFTC
Was at the ASB arena with the kids. Decided to get these Geocache with Rawi n her sprogs. Were searching for ages being monkeys in the jungle. Going through the activity to find some extra clues. Was bout to give up when one of ths sprogs happened upon it. Not at all where we were looking. Clever disguise. Tftc.
Cache number 3601. I had looked for this one back in 2016 without success. I came over for an event this afternoon so decided to have another look. On my way over I notice that the framework had gone so considered that the cache may have gone with it. So I sat down and read the logs. These showed that it had been found recently and this was after it had been taken away. So I set about looking. Tried a few places and after about 10 minutes I found it. Then there would be a problem of a full log but I saw that the CO had put a new one in. So I was pleased to sign off and head off. Thank you for the frustration.
Saw something which may have been a camoed cache, but looks like it has been broken.

Wandered around while no-one here..just a few setting up for an event and hopefully not taking much notice of a couple of ladies wandering around the car park! Log full but squeezed names on. Tftc
On a trip over the Kaimais to escape Waikato fog/rain & enjoy some lovely mid-winter BOP sunshine instead. No-one around here today when I arrived, which made for an easy search. The caching gods were smiling on me & I got lucky very quickly, making it a nice straightforward find. Sneaky! TFTC
As I was back in the district, had time for another look. Cords right on, how did I miss this little red nano the last couple of time I was here. Quick find today. Cheers.
Definitely easier now the large red herring is gone...still took us a little while though. Great concealment. Signed Z4EB to save room on the log. Tftc
Now that the large Red Herring is gone, I have downgraded the difficulty on this to 3.5.

So this is our High Five cash, number 11111 find for Team Geckoh!
We were fortunate to arrive early at the site, as there was a crew coning off the driveway for an event. Took a minute to see the light and get our caching eye in before the cache was in hand.
A clever little hide. Thank you.

A really well constructed cache. We got lucky here and happened to just be right on top of this. Thanks for the clever hide
Took me a while as I fixated on the wrong thing. Stepped back, thought about it and hey presto! Cache in hand. Sneaky hide and lots of misdirection. TFTC. #496
#644 - Had a few spare minutes before i had to pick my son up, so i decided to tackle this one. I spend a lot of time walking in circles, until my GPS was at GZ then it all fell into place.
I think the hint confused me more than helped me, doh. Great cache was a good challenge v

I think its difficulty is a little over rated. Lol. Easy find now the distraction is gone. Cool cache. Tftc
Haha! This time I got the very attractive cache! Very nice TNX. I love your hides and know that they will always be sneaky!! TFTC
I have been alerted to the fact that the big viewing platform beside the cache has been removed. This has not affected the cache, but it has severely reduced the places you need to look, so should be easier and safer. I may have to keep an eye on the logs and could reduce the difficulty factor a few notches.
Seeing I was back in town I decided to give this one another go after it defeated me a couple of months ago. Good camo.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Sure was our lucky day today - this had the potential to take ages, but Mr L found it within seconds, whew ! - major relief ! We even have time to fit in a bit of gardening at home this afternoon before more rain arrives .
A great hide thanks - though it took a wee while before the 'of course that's where it must be' moment hit us. Tftc.
Going around the Baypark caches today with a couple of others on a determined hunt to find them all. This one was definitely the hardest for us, we went round and round and round looking for the thing and then once we thought about it a bit harder, we finally fell upon it. Yay! Thanks for the cache
Quite evil indeed but not too hard for us. Sneaky hiding spot with so many options. Cache was a little hard to open as it seems the nano has been cross threaded a bit. Thanks TNXPro
The stairs are blocked off and there was a surveyor very near to here so gave this one a miss. Sounds intriguing though. Maybe on our next visit south.
Came this way with the kids to find some caches. Cool finds. Kids had fun. Out hunting with jaymie07
Another ingenious hide!thoroughly enjoyed searching for these caches in baypark today. It was the caching that brought us here, not an event at the arena.
Thanks for the heads up about the wet log. As soon as I got the message I headed out that way to check on it.
It was a warm day so dried the log out thoroughly before replacing. The waterproof log paper is proving invaluable as it is staying together nicely even wet damp.
Please write small on the log (initials only) as people are taking up too much room on the log.

Thought I would start a tradition of finding a cache whilst dressed in my Dinner Jacket...last year after leaving the school ball I went to try and get a FTF on Out in plain sight but was beaten by Phillip Perry by a few minutes. This year, I arrived at the venue with 10 minutes to spare and thought I would have a cheeky look for this little blighter. On arriving at GZ I decided that I might be a little exposed to those people leaving work from the Arena - a torch on in the middle of the carpark....mmmmh - my search was swift and interjected with looks over to the car park to ensure my anonymity....anyway, log story short, this is not a cache to be looked for whilst wearing a DJ, with limited time and in the dark. I was also planning on having a look at the gate on my departure, but that was curtailed by the fact I had to give someone a lift.
Yay! I was very pleased when, after another thorough hunt, I finally found this elusive cache. There was a learner driver doing laps but it sounded like they were concentrating on their gear changes more than us. I was with daughter, bellbox, so I didn't look too suspicious. Funny how the frustrating caches end up being favourites! Tftc
Have to admit to a nudge when we PedAF. Clever hide, it's all there in the description!
This was found quite quickly after 2 goes at the entrance nasty. Love the red danger colour - shame it's not seen very often! Some nice red herrings thrown into the description too. Thanks for your evil Nanos - love them.
Had a quick look for this one put my foot ready to jump ...then decided to look before I leapt and how lucky was that another wellthought out and constructed cache TNX thanks most enjoyable
A few to many eyes today... Note Council has put a barrier in front of stairs to discourage climbing, and there are now two planks missing at top... I'll be back again
So glad to be able to hit the Found It button. Awesome find. Have tried several times before and we were determined to get it. Tried this morning with no luck but came back tonight with SamTaylor02 and trusted the GPS this time and after a bit of fiddling, found it very quickly by torchlight. Evil!!! TFTC
I found this Geocache along with HKCB, 11hpg11 and Kyb3r, a bunch of overachieving Geocachers from Hamilton. We signed the logs 1HIK to save on log space. This was our fourth sojourn or ‘mission’ as we like to refer to these trips, to the Tauranga area and even though we had limited time due to family commitments in the evening we still managed to find more the fifty caches and be home before dinner. Credit needs to go to HKCB who came up with the plan and 11hpg11 for driving. As always we had a great time. I discovered HKCB has a big one, that the TV show Samurai Pizza Cats is horribly underrated, that when it comes to night/ early morning Geocaching ‘it's all about the lumens’, that road kill can make for amusing hood ornaments, that hpg has a big hole and that clapping in a state in the USA may well be the funniest thing anyone can say at 5am. A big thanks to all the cache owners who placed and maintain the Geocaches we found today.
This was my third visit to GZ having tried twice previously without any luck. HKCB sat back bemused as I fumbled around again and nearly laughed out loud when I tried all but the very exact spot. Thankfully today was my lucky day and I can finally put this hide which has plagued my dreams to rest.

Hitting the trails with the 1HIK crew (11hpg11, HKCB, iammrwalker and myself) on a mission to help them clear Tauranga caches.
Last time I was here we had no luck. I swear that I put my hands on the camo last time.... bah! A well hidden cache but I'm conflicted if I should be giving this frustration a favourite point...

Had to give this one a try! We found it in the end. Took us a while though. Definitely an evil hide. We were very proud and happy when we finally logged it! This is also a D/T rating missing in our matrix. So thank you! TFTC! Greetings from Denmark!
#11771. Another tricky hide, but we were in good form this afternoon. and I eventually found the cache after widening the search a little. Loved the hide! TFTC.
After a walk around the Mount this morning, we bought a few supplies from the supermarket and headed home for a coffee and lunch. We decided to have a bike ride in the afternoon, and pick up a few caches. Unfortunately, we had to bike on some busy roads (Mt Maunganui needs more cycle ways!) so the ride back to home base was not a pleasant experience.
I had a bit of a tech problem and after semi sorting it out, headed to GZ where StreetWalker was already searching. This time, after about 5 minutes searching, SW found the nicely hidden cache. Sneaky and not where I was expecting. Not sure what the title means though. Enjoying these hides, thanks for the effort.

Searched high and low, and then high again, then low again. No luck - but will be back.
Well this was not my first visit here and I am sure it wont be my last. Hopefully will be back for more events and not nasty caches Determined after failing here last time, today was going to be my day. I got stuck in and eventually found it right where the GPS said, exactly what the hint says.... GRRR serves me right for over complicating things! Thanks for the nasty nano!
Was passing today. Had a really good ponder and came up trumps (In the rain)
Cheers

Funny thing - this is our 666th find - and it was alittle devil of a damn thing to find
We came here yesterday and spent a fair amount of time looking for this cache in the most obvious cache location
and there was our mistake - "most obvious" - what were we thinking?
So today - we both happened to be working close to Baypark - and chatted and both ended up here for our lunch break
We were here for about 30 seconds and Mrs Murray suddenly just "just knew" where it was - and wow had in her hands right after
We laughed - both happy and relieved to find this one

Yus u didn't fool us this time found in a couple of mins. Very clever and sneaky. Tftc fav point from us!!
We were heading to the beach for our annual holiday so decided to stop off here for a little break. I have been wanting to complete this one and the others in the area for a while. I thought it might take me a couple of goes as previous more experienced cachers have done so but I found this little devil within 10 minutes. I must admit that over the last few weeks have been reading the logs carefully and had a good idea of what needed to be done and sure enough I was correct. It's a shame I didn't have the same luck with the other caches in the area but I might have another go going home. Thanks for a very well hidden cache I enjoyed this one very much.
Yay!! Finally had a chance for a clamber and a climb! Every other time I've tried, there's been that pesky worker on forklift or mowing lawns. The cache is exactly what I imagined but not where I imagined. Very clever! YES okay a fave for the hide.
We loves hides like this but as we are on a tight schedule we don't have extra time to search. Hope to B back one day. Tftc
Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!
Greetings from Finland

On a geoholiday road tripping to Christchurch MEGA and around beautiful New Zealand. Our four people group (temyllyl, laalaa, kapeka and myself) from Finland used group tag FIN to log the caches.

Today our trip continued from Tauranga to Hamilton. Of course with some caching on the way. We had lots of fun and saw many nice places and caches. This took some time to find. We were just giving up when I thought to watch one more place and there it was! Tough one. Thanks for the cache!

17th day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand, and caching our way towards north. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka. After having a blast in South Island and in Christchurch Mega event, we had to start heading back home. Fortunately we still had few days left to spend in NZ while driving to Auckland.
Was heading over this way for work so decided I'd head over a little earlier a have another go at a few caches we missed last time we were over this way. I think this is my 4th or 5th visit to this cache so I'm getting to know the area quite well, but haven't got to the stage yet of naming the individual blades of grass but I'm starting to recognise them!
Was at a event the other day and was discussing this evil hide with a finder and I was told to trust the GPS. Having managed to get 0m on my GPS a few times while there on different trips, all roughly in the same location, I knew I could now focus my search on one particular area.
Pulled up to GZ this morning and rechecked the GPS and again got 0m in the same spot as last time. Started the hunt again, and I must admit I hadn't put as much effort into this spot as I have the other spots, though I was pretty sure I'd checked for this type of hide. Sure enough after only a few minutes the little red devil was at last spotted, grabbed and signed, and in a spot I was certain we had already checked. Thanks for the evil hide and the headache!!

Today is International Earthcache Day so a plann was hatched some time ago for White Island in conjunction with Alpenmilch80. However due to weather cancellations it has now worked out (this is our fourth attempt) so now today we are finally going . Needless to say that this was going to be a very long but memorable day (left home at 3.20am, got home at 7.45pm). Our planned meet up time was 6am at the Mount for the adventure to begin.
So in the company with Sleschke we headed over for what was going to be a most memorable day out with good friends in a great and unique spot. we had the cache out and signed as SAC (our collective names).
After such a great day out at the island it was time to grab a final few on this side of Whakatane before heading back to the Mount. Sleschke was onto this one quick smart, A quick and check for the cache and the cache was in hand
thanks for the placement, thanks for the cache

After checking into our backpacker slieschke and I decided to use the night to find some more geocaches in town. Used the cars light to help with the search. We trusted the coordinates and slieschke made the find after some searching. TFTC
7032. Out for a day's geocaching in the Tauranga area with Nodo from Waihi. This was our second cache find of the day and a very sneaky hide. Rodney spotted it and we signed the log. Now off to find a few others in the immediate area. Thanks. Rodney and Iris.
11.05am. We are spending the day in Tauranga with "Sallies" from Christchurch. We looked at the obvious places first then once again Rodney found the little red cache. Another favourite point for a clever hide. Thank You David and Noeline.
Yay, first time looking! After finally locating 'Escape from the Arena', we headed over to this one, feeling pretty confident. We were a bit tired from being on our feet all afternoon at the Home and Leisure Show in the Arena but hadn't been around here since this cache was published. Logs said it was hard but do-able and we are learning TNXPro's style now.
After a quick look all over we started to think clever rather than difficult (or are they the same thing?)
Once again, right on the co-ordinates, Murray this time located the very neat cache! What a successful afternoon! Now for a quick walk around the Mount to check our caches which have been reported MIA. (They were still there). Then a beautiful dins with a gift voucher at Le Marie under the Mount, and home to our lovely Kawerau. Whew that was a big day. Thanks so much for another great cache TNXPro.......another fave promised.... (A virtual fave, says Murray)...

5.30pm - Ummh where to start, up, down, over, under and the Squirrel came up trumps. Great hide. SLTFTC
Day 12 of a hopeful 50-Day caching streak... This is one of the requirements of our current Geocaching License Challenge. We have been looking ahead and decided that we no longer need to hold off on Tauranga caches. After months of neglect, it was time we did a bit of a raid here... With Gap (of Fap and Gap)...
This was our last cache of the day, and a mini run on this CO's hides... We spent ages combing every inch of that platform. When the first sweep revealed nothing, we combed the same area again. In the distance, a learner driver was taking lessons, and we hoped he wasn't distracted by our shenanigans. This wouldn't be a straight forward hide, and we didn't want to contemplate searching the surrounding plantings... After a frustratingly long time, I felt something different... The cache! What a sneaky, evil hide. Glad to bring this search to an end. TFTC.

Despite the inclement weather, which kept the muggles away, we were intent on not letting this one beat us. Making an assumption about where it 'should' be meant that much time was spent fruitlessly looking in places that the cache wasn't. Noting that the coordinates were accurate decided to let the GPSr guide a resumed search after a rain shower passed over. Had an 'a-ha' moment at the indicated GZ and the clever hide was found. Signed as All7NZ to fit on the log. TFTC TNXPro and worthy of a FP from us.
Well, well TNXPro you DO have the sneakiest cahes!! Nzkeko and I were out for some quick caches and yours are always challenging. Just about to give up on this when we took a rest and gathered our thoughts and guess what???? When you fiddle with EVERYTHING eventually you find SOMETHING. TFTC
