Plans to repair geocache as soon as Melbourne stage 4 lockdown has finished. No exact ETA , Q4 2020
This was our first cache, really happy to find it!! It took us not that long even though we had no clue what where we looking for. Good location a little bit off the main street. Thank you!
Thanks MDMC after a walk around the lake we were headed for a well deserved coffee when we saw your cache. Bonus coffee & Cache! ️
TFTC MDMC. Thanks for bringing us back to the are. We came to StAli when it first opened. Seems like a half generation ago. Jimmytherat with Noelle04
Today I racked up around 40,000 steps as I cached my way around Melbourne. This one took a few minutes, but thankfully no muggles around as I searched. TFTC!
Took me a little while and a lot busier in these back lanes than expected. Need a coffee now ha. TFTC
Out with Cambendy. Escape room before dinner caching after. Great night. TFTC.
I was getting a set of new tyres fitted in Port Melbourne, so went for a wander with my GPS to see what I could find. There were too many muggles at my first cache attempted, so I headed to this one, being the next closest. My GPS had little idea where I was once in the laneway. Generally it thought I was up the other end, so I quickly reverted to the clue.
A quick count and I figured out where to look, and soon the cache was in hand. Thanks to Team MDMC for placing and maintaining this cache.

Love old lane ways and enjoyed this one today. Walked up and down several times and certainly did the geo -dance here before checking images and finally spotting what I wanted.

Thanks for your little “surprise” in the back street laneway of South Melbourne. Found with Meme28 and the GeoKids. Now, off to find coffee we go....
Quick find whilst en route to an escape room. Forgot a pen, can provide a photo if need be to prove find. Fist Melbourne cache, cheers!

In Melbourne for the weekend meeting with friends. This was close to our accom and loved to pick this up. Found out same CO as the old one down south I picked up at the last Mega. Now for wine and dinner. TFTC
Found this cache on our visit to Melbourne after breakfast at a nearby cafe. Thanks for the cache
A quick find this morning before dawn whilst staying overnight nearby. In good condition.
Visiting from the west and Spot had a medical appointment so thought we'd grab a cache on the way. Pleased to report that all's well here. Thanks for setting it up and it's maintenance.
TFTC from the Kayakviking!
Not sure I got the clue but it's in an obvious spot. All good. Cheers

With my friend, a geocache virgin. 10pm after a night out drinking and Spanish tapas. Thanks!
Cache found all good and in order. But open up this one on a windy day. You will have a bad time!. Thanks for the cache!
And here we are. It is 2022, and after moving my life half the world away to Australia, discovering that Geocaching there without my friends was not as fun, generally trying to survive Australian fauna and flora and finding a job, only doing Geocaching on occasion during 2019, and then the pandemic hitting in 2020 and putting almost a complete halt to all traveling and finding, plus finally coming back to Europe to try and redo my life here this year… I have decided to sit down and log online all of the records I had gathered offline during these years. Some are lost forever (don’t trust your phone for years on end with offline logs), but hopefully I will manage to recover enough logs to paint a few broad strokes of what these years were, and the places they took me to.
Apologies in advance to all owners for this (in some cases, very) delayed logging. I can only say that sometimes we are not in the best place, and it takes time to find oneself. Thanks in advance for the hides, the places you took me to, and the stories you shared in the way.
----
After not being able to travel due to lack of work, and then due to too much work, we finally manage to take a few days to do a quick road trip around Kozciusco, and then down to Melbourne and back.
It was only a few days, but the weather was nice, and we could do some caches. First of the day in Melbourne. Exploring the city and the surroundings in a busy, busy day.
TFTC!

Caching with Kirss. We did this late, after finishing our road trip to GOR. Found after some searching. No muggles around. Found a bar for a good night beer after this. Greetings from Finland. TFTC
I was getting my car serviced in Southbank and so, with a few hours to fill in, I went for a stroll around parts of South Melbourne and South Yarra hunting caches... with mixed success. The day started well with this cache... a quick find thanks to good instructions... and no one having *morning smoko* (I had come this was a little while back to find *muggles* hanging around at GZ having a smoke... but they seemed to be hard at work this morning!).
Thanks **Team MDMC** for putting this one here.

Was back in the area for a latte and realised that I had previously found and signed but hadn’t logged it .. well here it is .. coffee is still good TFTC
It's difficult not to leave a spoiler when there's nothing to be found here in this interesting bluestone cobbled laneway. Coffee cache #1 took me to a blank spot with what appeared to be a closed garage facade. Correct me if someone else found something... Happy to return.
So my first foray into Geocaching was disappointing. The upside is it took me to laneways Id never explored and on the beautiful day Melbourne had yesterday it was fun to be out and about. I'm looking forward to my next cache...

Found today whilst in the area for coffee. Such a small little alley way I missed it at first, but once at GZ the coords were spot on and cache was ever so slightly poking out/visible. A short wait for a smoking muggle to move on and I soon had the cache in hand. TFTC

I was heading into the city for babysitting duties for a family member and still needing a cache for the day. I was running a bit late and the only parking in the street was in a loading zone, so that's where I parked. I was quite confident that I could find this one quickly and that's exactly what I did. I was back to the car in no time at all.

Melbourne Day 5: St Kilda and CBD Fringes
Last day in Melbourne today, and since my flight was quite late in the evening, I had more or leas the whole day to finish off whatever caches I felt like doing. Took a very long walk around the city today, and picked up a few caches to start the New Year. Have a great 2019 everyone, and thanks for the caches!
The following is the specific log for each cache:
Took the tram up from Middle Park to South Melbourne for this next couple of caches. This one brought me into a quiet alleyway, where I had the whole place to myself. Tried to work out the hint first, but as it turns out, a visual inspection is much more efficient. Was expecting a nano, this was just a tad bigger. TFTC!

Second morning on a business trip to Melbourne. Nice weather, so what could possibly be a better way to start the morning than a short run around the Southbank.
This was the last cache for today. Luckily it was easy to find, since I couldn't understand the hint. TFTC!

My first cache in Australia! On a business trip participating a conference. Stretching the legs after 26 hours of travelling and exploring the new city and its caches. Greetings from up north, Finland & TFTC!
With a little bit of time up my sleeve, I headed towards this cache for a look. I was grateful for the hint here as I felt rather exposed searching due to the cameras pointing here, there and everywhere. Didn't take long to find the cache, which was a bit bigger than I was expecting. TFTC
Oh my gosh, when I found this one turns out I missed it about 4 times.... How?! Anyway, cache streak remains in tact. Tftc
Nice quick find after a lovely run around Albert Park.

2 muggles smoking in the alley but o nce they went a quick find was made. Thanks to Team MDMC for placing this cache.
Found myself in South Melbourne early in the evening after work with a little bit of time to spare so off to the nearest local cache.
It took me quite a while here despite figuring what sort of hide I was looking for. When I eventually put my hand on it I couldn't figure out how I had missed it on several passes searching in the right spots. Thanks for the cache MDMC.

Found today whilst en route to my parents place out the east of Melbourne (just a short detour really)!!! Quick find here and some cool artwork at other end of alley. Many thanks for the cache.
Took a while.... but we got there in the end!
