Looked in all the obvious spots....not a good start to our day...Sad

After attempting and failing at the other geocache nearby, I thought I might hit up this one and hopefully have better luck.

I'm not normally a fan of this type of private geocache, though thought that I might hesitantly check it out.

I quickly found a park and jumped in the car, it wasn't very long walk to GZ and once there, the location of the geocache was obvious. Though the thing that was more obvious, was the fact that the geocache was sitting about a metre away from where it should've been.

Upon opening the geocache I discovered it to be full of water one very wet log. Unfortunately, wasn't actively planning to be out geocaching today so therefore did not have my geocaching kit on me and was unable to replace the log.

Thanks for the geocache pirate kain, Though your geocache does require some TLC!

On my way home from Nanango's First Event I am stopping nearby for a quick shower and change before going to my grandson's kindy concert. I had just enough time to come and find this cache and I was fortunate it was a quick find and I was glad to sign the log. Thanks pirate kain for the cache you've placed here for us and others to find. It was in good condition. Cheers! Big Grin

Revisited this one with more reassurance that it is actually there as others had found it after my failed attempt last week. Red Face
Pulled up in the now familiar street and raced up the grass runway to the skate boarding area. Just moved the right piece of camouflage and there it was - how did I not find it before??
So glad to put my cache blindness from last week behind me. Razz So simple but so well hidden.

After finding Two Street walk, I continued on to this cache. Looked around the likely area but found nothing until I re-read the name of the cache and it became obvious where to look. Log signed and returned to its home. TFTC pirate kain Smile

This was the first of a disappointing afternoon of caching - 3 out 3 DNFs. I must have forgotten my caching glasses. Red Face
We found the grassed track easily though were thwarted just before by a neighbour looking for a pair of runaway labradors. No, I hadn't seen them. Left Jasper dog in the car so as not disturb any other canines. Found the skate boarding site but searched high and low, in and around the garden and just could not locate the cache. Once the neighbour started whippersnippering and having exhausted all realistic search options anyway, I had to call it a DNF.
Will watch out for more clues before we return.....

Lovely day for a bike ride around flat Sippy downs.....convinced the geokids and friend to come riding with me! Made our way over and was soon near GZ thanks to geokid friend who had been here before! Quickly spotted the correct spot and the hunt was on. Littlest geokid spotted container. Swap was made, log signed and replaced as found and onto the next one. TFTC!!

Found it! Good find bit worried about it being on private property but found it soon enough great hide.

Can't say that we enjoyed going on to private property to find this one. The only reason we did it was that we checked with the cache owner and the property owner knows about it. The cache name made it obvious where the hide was so we made a quick find. We took the two trackables and signed the log. TFTC

I was a little wary coming onto someone's place and I quietly entered and after a bit of a search around located the cache and signed the log.
I discovered the TB's but left them for others to move on.
TNLNSL TFTC thanks pirate kain Cool All good with this cache

Heading back from Mooloolaba and decided to detour to check a few caches. After parking nearby it was a short stroll to GZ where the cache was soon in hand.

Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Discovered x 2 TB's

Finally found after looking from a distance. Saw the glint of green after discussing with ancients that we've been looking in the inside the area. Thanks Kainage for your first hide.

Well I made that way more difficult than I had to and being in suburbia on private property I felt oh so conspicuous BUT I found it in the end. Just had to have a "mother's look" ! Cool TFTC TNLNSL ☺ ☺ ☺

I like it when caches are published at times that allow me to attend also. We made a mad dash to GZ only to find that Electro-man had already beaten us here by mere minutes. He already had the cache in hand so we all signed the log and then replaced it as Electro-man found it.

FTF #4 at 1955 Smile

I heard an email come through to my phone, and I almost ignored it!
A minute or two later, I checked the email and saw a new cache published really close to home.
Wooshka! I raced to the car and sped to GZ.
I was relieved to see no other cars at GZ, so I ducked in to the bushes and made a quick find.
I returned to the car to sign the logsheet, just as I was about to return the cache, some familiar faces arrived to join in the hunt.
Sorry guys, I beat ya! Smile

Coords are spot-on and the cache is going to be a mental challenge for daytime cachers.

Arrived at GZ only to find that we missed it by this much >.< Oh well. Congrats on your FTF Electro_man. ~ TFTC pirate kain and congrats on your first hide. Smile

#1167 @ 8:00 pm. Always prepared for the mad ftf dash out the door, we left the dinner dishes and raced off. Not one to have our hopes and dreams dashed by not being first we were met there by electro_man who had beaten us by minutes. Congrats on your first hide. TFTC pirate kain!
