Cache found with first time Geocachers - Campers1203.Cache was wet and mouldy, so we didnt open. Thanks for the cache, found quickly and lovely area! Cache needs some maintenance when you get a chance
Found the container, it's very wet inside so couldn't write a note. Great little hiding place.
After a few mins of looking we found a suspicious rock u der a grass bush. Then found a suspicious cache container underneath. Cache needs maintenance. Very wet logTftc
Not confident we found the exact spot with this one, and the hint didnt help too much as the entire area is overgrown grassy bushes! Hopefully the next person has more luck than us. Nice place to take a walk with friends, Wildflower & Anonymous Tree Hugger
fun find wasn’t to hard pretty location log book is destroyed so couldn’t log the cash box but enjoyed it
No GPS reception on my ph. Will maybe go back with my hand held after I load then onto it

Not knowing what we would find at this reserve, family Perpetuallylost nevertheless made a detour while on our way to Walkerville for the afternoon to have a crack at the caches here.
Greeted by a relatively flat path and noticing the recently groomed picnic area, even Mrs P, in post op recovery mode after recent back surgery, was happy to attempt a walk through the bush here.
Well what a lovely surprise, the fresh scents of the native trees after the rain last night and the myriad of birdsongs as we meandered along made for a truly enjoyable walk.
A find by chance rather than good management on my side, a tricky little area that the gps struggled in. A lucky glance in the right direction was all it took to avoid disaster and and a possible DNF.
Thx again allan-b for your caches here. Glad you put three out, we may not have stopped for just one and otherwise miss out on this great location.

The old saying "Time & Tide wait for no man" was true for us today. 2021 - already with nearly a month gone, we enjoyed an overdue day out in South Gippsland. We were lucky enough to see some fantails hopping about.
Thanks allan_b for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

A trip down to Fish Creek for a few days.
Tripping around the area with our cameras with a few caches in the way.
We had both seen the wind farm from afar, but had never been to the Wetlands reserve.
Fantastic walk.
Grabbed this one while awphoto was just getting his camera gear out of the car.
Good sized cache.
Thanks, Robmc.

Short stop here because the boys wanted to see the wind turbines. Nice quick find all in good condition. Tftc
Great little find. Wasn’t planning on looking for any today and just happened to check.
Contents looked like they had been wet. Pens didn’t work.

My 100th find! Wahoo. Came back to where I found my first one. Tftc alan_b
Edit
Oh bloody heck! Nearly stood on a snake on way out. So unexpected.

We were looking for a place to enjoy a walk and a few caches today so decided to explore this area. It was great to get out in the sunshine and fresh air.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Somebody hasn’t put on the lid properly and the lid was a meter away from the actual container. Incase this happens again you should put a plastic bag around the paper!! TFTC
2nd cache for 2020! A little concerned about wriggly sticks today. Thankfully haven't seen any...yet!
This is a great location. Log is a bit wet. Can't wait to see the wetland proper. TFTC
Only time for this first one today but we'll definitely be back for more. What a great little spot!
Today we took the kids to Sandy Point for a swim. We were there the other week and the kids enjoyed it so much that they demanded we bring them this weekend! This time they had some wave boards. Middle child manged to master it quite well. The other two need some more practice.
To break the long drive home back to Melbourne we did a few caches. This was the first of them.
As it was still quite warm, we weren't that game to venture down to the wetlands, having seen a grayish black snake on the road on the way in!
So we just got this one - very carefully! I was expecting to hear a snake slither out as I approached! Luckily didn't hear one. But boy I have never seen so many grass hoppers in my life!
Thanks for the cache allan_b.. We will come back in winter to see the wetlands and do the rest of the caches here!

Success again! I'm so happy that this year we managed to find the caches that elluded us two years ago. Just goes to show that a good phone makes all the difference with this hobby. After seeing a tiger snake on the path on our way to the construction of the new bird hide the kids declined coming over to look for this one but I plucked up the courage and made my way through the grass in my hunt.
Kept an eye out for snakes but didn't see any. Great walk which we had all to ourselves. Tftc
Got it! SV0511 played Netball atTarwin so we thought we'd conquer a couple of geocaches. Two DNF so far, our welcome first for the day. Thank you! TV0804 swapped a rock for a bubble toy.
Quick note to those venturing out here. Service is lost partway along the trail, so stock up on coordinates and hints before you set off.
we stay at walkerville its lovely place so on the way there and found it and thank you for show me
We’re on another long weekend away in the area. We’ve been meaning to come on this walk for a while; last time we paid a visit there was a birdhide and a very interesting read (hilarious) in the hide log book. Pity it is lost forever.
We discovered all three caches on the walk, and all of them were found in very clean and neat condition, even containing working pens and nice swaps.
Thank you very much for enticing us back here allen_b! Such a lovely caching experience.

Found it! Perseverance pays off. 4yo geokid beat me to it. Clever little munchkin. TFTC.
No good today. Gps was a bit off methinks. Will try again in the next few days.
Approached gz from the access trail rather than the path. Oh the smell as one approaches!!! There has to be a large dead animal in there. Then two crows were startled and squawked their displeasure as they flew away...Yep, has to be something dead in there. Thankfully, gz was upwind slightly. Spun around a few times but soon had cache in hand. Took TB but nothing else. Damn, slight wind change. Thank goodness for strong stomachs. TFTC and bringing us to another previously unknown spot.
I was surprised how quickly I found this despite tree cover the coordinates were spot on! As I was starting to think "Where would I hide a cache here?" I looked in one direction and it was within hand reach! Left a TB in one of my favourite reserves for birdwatching. Favourite point awarded.
We don't seem to have the right equipment for caching in the middle of nowhere like this. We couldn't get the GPS to settle on any particular area. We would have kept going but the muggles with us were hankering for a coffee so we were cut short on our search.
Found by geodaughter whilst trying not to fall into the wombat hole. Thanks for the laugh.
Found on a beautiful day of caching! After some lunch at Venus Bay, we drove the distance all the way out to Bald Hills to get some caches. Once we arrived at GZ, the cache was quickly found. Lovely little area. TNLNSL. TFTC allan b!
Found in good condition on a good day for the windmills. Just getting back into the swing of caching after a serious leg injury.
I love this place. It was so nice to have some caches here again after some fool set fire to the bird hide. At this first cache we saw three circling wedge tailed Eagles, fairy wrens, fan tails, and plenty of fly catchers. Beautiful! We picked up a TB too. Thanks for the cache! Found with DD19 and a handful of muggle relatives in Labour day long weekend.
