Had a good search but couldn't find the cache

We have 4 people all looking for the cache but we just couldn’t find it

No doubt the cache is still there and buried somewhere after all this time, but after 20 minutes of being poked and prodded in parts of the body I can’t even pronounce by some plants we had to call it a day. Thanks anyway, we will be back to avenge (with a flamethrower).

This week I have been working up the coast, and today I was able to make a detour to Buderim on the way home to meet a friend for coffee. I took the opportunity to stop and collect a smilie of course; coming out a bit the worse for wear after a run in with a thorny vine. The container was a quick enough find; I just chose the wrong way to get to it. Tftc timmyjg Big Grin

I’ve been meaning to stop here for ages but took the opportunity to actually do it today. Lovely little part of Buderim, thanks for bringing me here.

After a little bit of bush bashing, I found the spot and realised that I should haves read the description on where to park. Turns out I came through the hard way. Anyway found this one in a great hidy spot but had to scratch around to find it as it was not visible but covered in debris. Tried my best to sign but log is fairly wet and may need some new papers.TFTC

T-Tech and I spent the night at Caloundra celebrating our anniversary, and this afternoon we headed to Buderim to visit T-Tech's dad to celebrate his birthday! On the way, there was a cache to grab.

We searched a little further than necessary, but the cache was closer to the open grass area than expected. I found it neatly tucked away. The logbook was a little damp but still usable. I double bagged it before we left. I like the nearly 7 months unloved-ness [^] TFTC, timmyjg.

One definitely has to widen the search from the given co-ords. We took the clue to mean one thing and it definitely didn't mean that - only understood the meaning when we found the cache.

27-Nov-17
Searched for quite awhile, but alas it eluded us. Thanks anyway. Will try again when not so humid.

This one took a few minutes to find, I think I was a bit tired by now!

Out with wombles and co at the 2017 cacheup with the newbies event for a weekend of fun camping and of course caching Smile Now well and truly on our way home and had a selection of caches to get on the way home. Our 2nd last cache and we were both getting tired after the last two days of only getting roughly 4 hrs sleep a night, and cause I had camper trailer on the back of the car we had to disconnect trailer manually push it around and then reconnect and drive off, we will remember this cache well. TFTC Smile

Nice cache! There is a much easier way in about 20-30m closer to the intersection. The hint saved me at least 20 minutes as the iPhone was all over the shop.

Find #591

Needing to get out of the house for a while, I decided to head out for a few caches and this popped up on the way to my next intended sucker...

I wasn't "really" dressed in the right foot attire to go for this cache but I went anyway.. Nice quick find, cache is in good knick.. no dramas here.

Thanks timmyjg.

I was lying around at home, not really doing anything... Then all of a sudden I remembered that I need a cache for my 'dates found grid' for today! So after a quick scan of the map, this was the closest cache to home.

I grab a pen and the GPSr and jumped in the car. After getting somewhat lost, yes, I understand this is my own backyard and somewhat embarrassing, I soon found a great place to park.

Jumping out of the cache, only wearing thongs, I had to think to myself... "Darn, I should have brought shoes..."! But, then I used the old grey matter and went for a little look around. Geez, I'm glad that I did as I really could have made this adventure just that, an adventure.

It was not before long I had the cache in hand, name in the log and then everything back home.

Thanks for the cache timmyjg. Everything is in good order with this geocache.

Coordinates changed from:
S 26° 42.088 E 153° 02.854

Coordinates changed to:
S 26° 42.087 E 153° 02.857

Distance from original: 16.6 feet or 5.1 meters.
Because of the coverage there is heaps of GPS bounce. Updated to new coordinates that seem to work better. Iphones may still be a bit out. But hey its a fun easy find. Thanks electro_man.

21-Sep-15
The coords need updating as they are at least 14 metres out.
My Garmin GPSr recorded these numbers: S26° 42.087 E153° 02.857

Found at 1700.

Due to the coords being so far out, I had to PAF.
I eventually found the well-hidden cache, after removing a leech from my leg!

Parked down Ironbark rd which I've never noticed before despite driving past probably hundreds of times. Jasper dog and I traversed the grassy patch and approached the edge of the rainforest. Took a bit of spinning around to figure out where to go in. Took a guess and spotted a likely hide. There it was behind some natural cover. Nice patch of forest in the suburbs.
Took stegosaurus, left spider.

Found @ 0950 hrs

I parked only a short stroll to GZ. Once there I began my search, but soon realised I needed to be elsewhere. I widened my search and then spotted a geotrail leading to a likely hiding spot, some 14m away.

I found the cache in plain view and signed the log before replacing the cache in the same position and covering it with some natural cover.

TFTC timmyig

Ps: One clip on your container is broken.

Parked up near GZ and climbed up the bank and then on to GZ. Looked in the wrong place initially and then saw a likely hide and soon retrieved the cache. On my way back to Mitsi, came across Scooby freak & family on their way to the cache - nice to meet you guys. TFTC timmyjg - great first hide. Smile

#1175 *FTF* @ 1:48 pm ~ After a nearby successful FTF I headed for this one hoping I would have the same result. Arrived at GZ and started my search. Before long I had cache in hand with a nice empty log sheet with it. Signed my name and made my exit. ~ TFTC timmyjg Smile
