Ocw the Bebes as we head into the park. Collected all the info and after checking and changing one had CIH. Tftc
OCW PelDroedGwin We enjoyed our walking tour of the old station, nice signage to explain the life. Id say this one is definitely tougher than a D1/T1 though still lots of fun.Tftc
I thoroughly enjoyed this multi. Thank you for bringing me here. Loved wandering around the old buildings.
A nice little multi - do not be put off by the 6 steps - they are pretty cool. There wasn't a soul around when I started this - quite nice, but then a few cars and the 4wd tour showed up, but still plenty of room for all (except in the hot tub). One tip - pull up the details on your phone before heading out - signal is iffy. Thanks for the cache.
It was a surprise to find an old sheep farm in this type of countryside. The station buildings are in reasonable condition considering their age but keeping equipment rust-free must have been a nightmare. A great spot for a multi.. we had no problems with any of the waypoints. TFTC jowiba.
Found with e.gregory1 on a trip from Adelaide to north-western Western Australia for a little over four weeks. We spent three nights on the Steep Point/Carrarang and Peron Peninsulas, staying at Shelter Bay for a night and Big Lagoon in Francois Peron National Park for the following two nights. Enjoyed visiting this scenic area finding a variety of caches around Denham, out to Cape Peron and across to Monkey Mia. Thanks for the cache jowiba!
Found on a trip to Western Australia from Adelaide with FeatherWaite. After camping out near Steep Point, we made our way around to Francois Peron National Park, finding caches along the way.I spent a lot of time around Shark Bay for both work and recreation during the 1990s and it is still one of my favourite areas of Australia. After gathering the required numbers and determining the final coordinates, the cache was a quick find. Thanks jowiba for the cache.
Found 16:16Three months of travelling in Western Australia with Muggle friends from the East coast; stopover in Singapore on the outward and return flights. Caches and labs where they are on the way and can be done without too much effort. You may forgive me for using the same standard phrase everywhere, but there's not much more to it than that. Many thanks to all the owners for making our hobby possible. If there is anything wrong with the cache, more detailed information follows.
Visiting shark bay with emukka and my first time here in the np. Interesting little historic site and walk, tftc!
A great spot for a cache and to take in the local history! What out for the swooping Crows! Found on Day 5 of our Honeymoon! Tftc
We called in here in the morning and had the hot tub to ourselves. Once we had finished our soak we did the loop walk. We like reading the information on the boards. As we didn't do the information in order we had to backtrack to make the find. A nice quick find and all was in order. Thanks for the cache.

Have now booked into the Shark Bay Caravanpark for a couple of days.
This is an amazing area to explore, we found a variety of caches.
Wandered around collecting the information required. A quick find at the new final.
This is much tougher than a 1x1
Thankyou to the CO's for hiding this cache

We've spent the day exploring Francois Peron National Park and finished it off with a soak in the hot tub. A wander around the grounds of the homestead collecting info for this multi was a lovely way to finish off a wonderful day.

Bingo bango and yippee for a MULTI in a really terrific historic location - it’s like it was just abandoned so has kept its integrity. The septuagenarian with us as a boy ‘mucked’ around in shearer’s sheds as his dad was a shearer’s cook so it was a wander down memory lane and we had our own tour guide/story teller elaborating on life in the shed. The trip is making me think about re-imagining Australian history - Noticeably there’s no mention of the Captain Cook !!! In Denham for a few days with plenty of time to explore on trusty treadles and appreciate another AUS World Heritage site. Have travelled WEST from home base 4200 km away and that includes altitude as well so enjoying the landscape and habitat changes of this BIG country. TFTC and the lure to visit. A fave for the surprise location. Like others, F is ineligible so I made a mid guess which proved sufficient
Today we explored Peron National Park. We stopped by this homestead, walked around the loop and explored the area. Not many muggles about or swimming in the hot tub. Some of the signs are faded but we worked it out either by guess work or reading previous logs to help. At GZ we found the cache easily, blended in well in its environment. TFTC
What an amazing homestead
Brought back memories of being in the farm
Love the hot tub

Today is day 4 of my Exmouth trip and I spent the day here in the Denham/Monkey Mia area ! Lots of interesting and wonderful places to be explored were waiting for me . On this beautiful day I was able to collect many traditionals in Denham and some other caches close by..... Thanks for showing me this special area by placing your GCs [:o)].
TFTC
PS: Value "F" can't be determined any more, but luckily it's not very important . At GZ it was a quick find....

Very educative multi and we were keen to do at least one multi here for a challenge back home, we now hope to meet the terms
Interesting calculating F at Waypoint at W1as the signboard was basically unreadable. Nearly gave up on doing the multi but persevered and continued to the other WPs. Completed others and had a guess at F. Entered the cords which brought us to a likely GZ and soon had our hands on the cache. Thanks for the tour.
We enjoyed the walk through this historic area and learning about its past. Miss atCat actually admired this structure as we walk past collecting the info so we didn't mind walking back here after solving the final coords. We spotted some lizards during the walk too! TFTC jowiba, a fave

Well, that was fun! We wandered about picking up answers, wondering what the viewing wall was all about. Tried entering the final waypoint into a different app, but without E it made no sense. Back to the drawing board and lo and behold, found waypoints listed for different clues. Off on another quick walk and BINGO! Then I discovered that you can enter GPS coords in the geocaching app, so we were on our way. The area is beautifully maintained. TFTC
Thoroughly enjoyed our history tour around the Homestead. So well preserved and we particularly enjoyed the amount of work that has gone into the entrance section. Hope it will be around for many more generations, to give them a glimpse into the past. Thanks jowiba for a great multi. Fav point from us.
A wonderful place. Thanks for introducing us to it. We enjoyed the history & had some fun exploring with parkacruz. TFTC
We headed out for a day in the FPNP with PP2 as our guests, a great day was had by all. We had fun exploring around the homestead again, we first joined geocaching in 2015 in Denham and had no idea how Multis worked, well today we came at it with a vengeance and walked away with a big smiley on our dials TFTC jowiba, a favourite here
We had a great visit to this homestead historic precinct. The multi cache was well designed and interesting. Especially the shearing shed. Thank you for placing this cache for our enjoyment. Fav point.
Took a bit too find as a Newby had to work out how to put in the coordinates on Geocaching app but had no service to research so a trip into town for phone service and got it on return
The questions were really easy to answer.
In the kitchen we saw a wounded little roo, that couldn't use his legs any more.
But in the whole homestead there was nobody to tell it.

I was time for me to take my annual fishing trip up north . Loaded up the Jetski and all the gear and head to shark bay on the herald bright side . Now the boss wanted me to grab a few caches along the way which I agreed too do ..... So far I have manage to find all on my list and like to thank all the CO’s and delegated maintenance personal for keeping the geocaching alive .... TFTC.
Balade sympathique quand on n’a pas de 4x4 pour sillonner les route de François Peron NP. Un bel aperçu de la vie d’avant.

First go of this type of geo. Loved it. Found while camp hosting at the homestead
Two weeks was enough of suburbia for me so we are on a little road trip to the sun ️ Yep 8 weeks of sun on our recent road trip from WA - NT - QLD and return wasn’t enough.
Well first thing I’m doing is giving I cache a fav point, so deserving of one.
Last time we were here, 11 years ago, we never came out here but I’m glad we did today.
Even Mr dimor enjoyed himself while I was busy taking photos and gathering info.
After getting what we needed we walked off then Mr dimor said I should put my workings into the phone, funnily enough we were at GZ without knowing.
A nice quick find

Hi there jowiba.
We found your cache **"Peron Homestead"** today. (This makes our find count 22785).
We cached between Hamelin Pool and Denham today & found your cache **"Peron Homestead"**.
(This brings our total find count to 22785). We had an interesting trek around the area & found 7 caches today & DNF'd 1.
We visited the pool yesterday but didn't have time to find the cache as we had two muggles with us that were only interested in the pool, so we returned today. We thoroughly enjoyed the scenery, the blue water and the walks along the shoreline. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 3m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny

On an arvo trip out to Point Peron to turn these caches into smileys. Nice drive out to these although the wind was strong today.
On the way back, called into the homestead to turn these caches into smileys.

In town for a few days, this area was the caching spot today.
Wondered thru the yards and got all the clues and the waypoints.
Now to enter it on the phone and find the log. Yee ha managed to get the old brain working and off I went to find the log book while hubby hopped in the pool.
Quickly found the log book, signed it and raced back all excited to tell hubby I had found it, he couldnt of cared a dam -he was in the pool with 2 back packer chicks keeping him company. Huh!
Thanks for the hide.

We had a great tim e in Deham an Francois Peron NP. We like all the Cache we found in this area. Greetings from Switzerland.
Updates description of the cache and questions as 1 sign is currently missing. Cache still in good condition.
Unfortunately we had to admit defeat due to the sign for waypoint no 3 the holding yard going missing. We tried various combinations but had no success tyfc anyway Jowiba.
Great Multi that all the family enjoyed. Like previous finders we did not get the final coordinates right due to the bird viewing wall as the description needs updating but like others knew this was the likely mistake so adapted the numbers to get the likely qz. Great afternoon getting these caches and exploring the area. Tftc
Day thirteen of our 'loop tour'. Absolutely glorious day in Monkey Mia. Geo-hubby set off after breakfast to explore the National Park while I caught up with the laundry and kept the geo-pooches company. By all account he had an awesome time and no problem doing the multi. Thanks jowiba
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 9892. We found this as part of our 2018 Round Australia trip.
I loved this multi, it gave us a chance to get the kids out f the car and we got to teach them a few things. A funny moment as Shell jumped when a little 10cm brown snake slithered under her feet.
Thanks jowiba for the cache.

Loved the tour the best part of geocaching is the things you learn along the way and we certainly learnt a lot today TFTC
Today we spent a relaxed day in Denham, with some geocaches of course. This multicache was our favourite find of the day.
TFTC!

Out for the day to explore Sharks Bay. really a revisit from 12 years ago, but much more fun this time with the caches to be found. Very fun multi! I sorted the trad first, so I started in a weird place, but all good at the end, all worked, and the final was very handy! TFTC!!
A brilliant multi, the highlight being the hot tub. A quick find. Thanks for the tour of the homestead, we need to return on a Wednesday night
Day 2 of our trip North, leaving Kalbarri and heading to Denham.
We started off early grabbing a couple of caches around town before heading out to the National Park to find some earth caches and traditionals whilst visiting nature’s window and some of the great sights we didn’t have time for on our last visit.
The highlight of the day was a cache called Kal Mk II which took us on a huge walk down to the bottom of the z bend and crossing the river and climbing up a significant rock face. An absolute ripper cache.
We continued along visiting another of team pathfinders Midwest history caches before heading up NWCH to the Shark Bay World heritage area, stopping in at a number of earth caches and popular beach spots before making our way into the town of Denham where we are staying for the night.
We had to skip town straight away to get to monkey Mia to grab the virtual cache there before returning to Denham via Francois perin homestead and the hot spring there, which was a an interning location.
After getting back into Denham we made plans to catch up with local geocachers Jowiba at the local shark bay pub for a beer and a chat, after a great chat we bid farewell and picked up the three remaining caches we had to find in town before heading to the foreshore to cook a bbq dinner.
A huge day out and special thanks to the local COs for their caches and hospitality. Thanks

On a 4 day drive to the warmer weather, stopping in at Kalbarri, Denham, monkey Mia, Carnarvon and Gascoyne junction.
Hoping for 2 LGA’s that we’re missed on the last trip this way and to clean up the map.

The seats at the bird hide were taken away so I have now changed the WP2 calculation and all should be good again now! Have fun!
Collecting the numbers was easy – at least we thought until we did not find the cache. Checking previous logs we started adapting the number from the Bird Hide until the coordinates made more sense, and then also found the cache. TFTC!
The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 32. Francis Peron NP is a very remote place and interesting to explore. However rain set in for the day and it was closed so I had to move out. I explored what was not closed and headed inside in Denham for the rest of the day.
As the rain drizzled down I wandered around the homestead visiting all the sites in this multi. Only one place was an issue, there are no longer any seats at the bird hide, but I was able to work out what was needed and found GZ OK.
Thanks.

After staying at Peron homestead for the night I quickly darted around the historic complex and museum in the morning collecting the answers. All the questions were pretty straight forward apart one that couldn’t be found on a sign. Something wasn’t adding up since we had to go I came and rechecked my answers on my way to town. With help of the hint and a closer reading I had the cache soon in hand. Excellent place to stop and visit thanks for sharing favourite point added.
Found it!! Well we believe that the birdhide area has changed as there are no seats, but some logic and guessing we stumbled upon the container. The log book is damp! We enjoyed the hot tub!! Thanks for bringing us out here. A favourite point.
The new version of Cachly struggled with the waypoints on this one so we collected the answers somewhat blindly. So blind that it turns out we can't count either . Thankfully Mr O suspected what was wrong with our deductions and rectified our error to go find the cache while Mrs O returned for another dip. He confirmed that indeed we can't count on his return to the family. Enjoyed this little tour. Spotted an emu over the fence with five chicks. TFTC.
After a very late start yesterday leaving Carnavon we didn't quite get as far as we had expected so camped out last night and got a nice early start this morning.
We stopped here and went and grabbed the traditional cache first and the drizzly rain came back again before we finished that one. We ummed and aared whether a six point multi in this weather was going to be any fun or not and decided that we were already here and you can only get so wet so we may as well go and try our luck. This was one of the best decisions we have made in a long time. This multi was really well set out, nice and easy to collect the answers at each interesting location, plenty of photo opportunities along the way and no complicated math's at the end for us to mix up. At the last wpt we were out of the rain for a little while while we plugged the co-ords into the GPSr and then off to gz where the cache turned out to be a much easier find than we thought that it might have been when we saw where it was hidden.
Many thanks jowba for the cache, we probably wouldn't have done the walk today with out it and would have missed out on so much, a favourite point from us.

So we decided to do this on our way out.

On the way home after our 1/2 lap which took in the Great Central Road, the Red Centre Experience Event at Alice Springs, then North to Katherine and home via Broome, Exmouth, Carnarvon and now Shark Bay.
We left the campsite at dawn to get to Monkey Mia in time for the first dolphin feeding, a top Experience. Then stopped here and walked around the homestead, and this was greatly enhanced by doing this Multi. Got the info, got the coords and must have got it right as we got the cache!
Thannks for this Multi, jowiba, enjoyed it a lot, a favourite for sure!

What an adventure it has been and great to get some caches along the route.
Now on our homeward journey via some great caches. Leaving Carnarvon heading for Denham.
Really enjoyed this multi as zI am usually not a fan, but this one took us on a great tour and learning experience of the past at this station.. 2 great caches here. Thanks.

tftc,
Today is day 45 of an adventure that will take me around Australia with a group of trackables as we now head south towards Perth. My caches visited can be tracked by checking out the Key Ring using the code TB4P4C1. The purpose of this note is to visit the trackables travelling with us so that the owners get to learn about this site.
We camped overnight at Quobba Stn. This morning our goal was to get to Steep Point but changed our plans and made for Monkey Mia after spending to much time at One Mile Jetty Carnarvon. What a great location with a museum and added history about the sinking of the Sydney. And then to back that up with this history tour, what an enjoyable day. Enjoyed this location just wish I had a favorite to award. Took the Pathtag.
As a part of my contribution to helping make the "Easter 2017 Red Centre Experience" GC6825Z a great Event, I will be leaving a card in every cache that is large enough to take it. This card provides a number for a trackable so you can "Discover me". There is also the Web page address "red.ozmega.com.au".

Arrived at the Caravan Park, set up camp, then Wazza9 said we need to go and do some nearby caches. Off we go arrived at GZ after paying the NP fee, gathering all the information to complete the multi, didn't take long to locate. signed the log and replaced. Didn't have time for a hot tub. Thanks to jowiba.
Last day in sharkbay so I really needed to get these caches done! Have been to the Peron homestead many times before and a few days before but I didn't save to offline list. Found all the answers and had the cache in hand. Took along some muggle friends who enjoyed making the find also
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Thoroughly enjoyed our walk around the precinct learning things and collecting clues. Everything worked out perfectly. Tftc.
Just back to investigate the situation. There are currently no signs of any closures in the area so cache all good. Checked the log and it was found recently too.
Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.
Today I was lucky enough to be out and about with some of those friends and we targeted this cache.
Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!
Thanks jowiba (F=2442 H=9) for placing this cache.

An interesting walk around a slightly historic place (for europeans anyway) collecting information on the way. We would have had the cache a lot quicker if I hadn't made an elementary mistake on the coords.
whilst I was there grabbing the tradition cache ,I attempted the multi but I was informed that I cant walk to the horse stables as they have closed them off so I didn't complete the task ....
Had a great time doing this multi and just loved the history. It's our kind of place so thanx for a great cache here. Now to head bush.....
Our first multi. Lots of work has gone into setting this up. Thanks for the cache
After visiting the dolphins at Monkey Mia we had a little break at Peron Homestead! Really an interesting place with a lot of information. We even met the volunteer who is taking care to the facilities. TFTC and cheers from a Swiss cacher couple!
Learned a lot about shearing. Beautiful place with no people. Along with Skyryser. TFTC The-Shredder
