Logs
Ooh there you are!! Couldn't sign the log as it was too water logged. Signed the only thing I had to write on in my bag: a tissue and left it in there. Covered a little better. Thanks for the hide
#15225 11:41A long weekend of geocaching away from Sydney. For this long weekend, a group of 8 geocachers descended down upon Callala Beach at Jervis Bay. Each day a different area was selected and all logs were signed with I'M ZEBRA, comprising of the initials of each member of the group. On the final day of the long weekend we drove up to Greenwell Point for a few caches before going back to Sydney.TFTC
After spending the long weekend staying at Callala Beach and caching around the area, we made our way to Greenwell Point to grab 4 more before heading home. A short walk from the car past some houses and then a quick find at GZ, once we got to the right level. Watch your feet. TFTC
Very peaceful location and can see the oysters around, caching with Everest High and Brewmaker
Staying in Greenwell Point for the long weekend with some friends. Although the sun was shining and the weather was warm, there was this nuisance of a wind that ruled out a lot of the activities that we had planned to participate in. Due to this, we headed to the main section for a spot of geocaching. That's when things got a little interesting. The app wouldn't load properly... it just kept telling me that something had gone wrong. It would think about it and then it would pop up with "something had gone wrong". The information for the caches wouldn't come up. After struggling for what felt like an eternity, and almost giving up... the app decided that it was all better and started working properly. We collected a couple of caches before heading back to our campsite. We decided to collect this cache on the way. By this time my daughter had decided that she had had enough and refused to leave the car. We left her listening to tunes while we walked off to collect the cache. Once at GZ, it did not take long at all to spot the cache. My son was the brave retriever, and the log was signed with OnlyDAB. Lovely waterfront views from this location.TFTC and the morning adventure!
Down from Sydney to hear some country music at Shoalhaven Heads . Time to kill so went for a drive and of course to a cache. Log is wet. TFTC Bonfire7
Staying nearby for the weekend, we came out here to have some lunch and find some caches. A beautiful part of the world that we don't get to very often. No chance of putting our name in the sodden logbook, so took the attached photo for evidence.Cheers
Caching from WA west coast to ACT for 2 megas. TFTC. A great spot and a quick find. Nice.
Nice little tucked away spot. Both for the cache and the grassed area behind the houses. Quick find to allow me to enjoy the view for a few minutes. Thanks for the cache.
I descended to water level too early and then discovered the dog was a good indicator for the GZ. An easy find.

Luckily a quick find as we're upset in the dog opposite. What a beautiful view of the Bay and the oyster beds
Good god eyes everywhere, how do you do this without being seen.
Very quiet but sat there and signed on a windy winters day.
Still a beautiful place.

#455 Out and about today with Turtle284 with plans to grab a multi find and a few extras whilst we were out. In the end we cleared the area out here ending the hunt with 1 Multi and 5 Trad finds.
Back on track with Bonfire7’s caches in the area. This was find number 5 for today. This cache was a bit further away from our previous finds but we decided we’d go and find this one before heading back to the vehicle. Upon arrival we were prepared to get our boots muddy, and to shoo off a Plover who was guarding the cache. I began searching in one spot and before and before long Turtle called out saying found it! The log was almost impossible to write on due to being wet, but we did make an attempt. Thanks for another cache in this lovely area

#2405 Made our way around to GZ. DeadThief was checking one side while I made the find on the other. Despite its placement the logbook was totally drenched. I attempted to place our names but was unable. Thanks Bonfire7 for the oyster view.
It was easy getting to GZ and the nearby houses seemed to be either weekenders or not occupied. The cache was soon found but the log is just about unusable after the rain, but I did log as usual on a less saturated area. Thanks for a good hide, loved the location.
Out with pdbunce and Chrissyb on holidays. Log is too wet to sign so took a photo. Pretty cool to see the oyster leases.
Grabbing a few local finds after work before daycare pick up to get up points for "Reach the Peak"

Found it whilst staying at GP for the a few days today. Weather is cold and rainy so it's geocaching instead of water for us today. Log wet so we took photo
Another wonderful location and a surprisingly quick find. Highly recommend attempting at low tide. Thanks
A picturesque spot I'm sure the residents appreciate. Container was very exposed but not now. TFTC.
Last morning in Greenwell Point so I was up early again and took the geohound for a walk. No run but cloudy so a very pleasant stroll. No one about from one dog in a yard so had the time to look for this one. Log is damp but not surprising given the location. Signed and returned as found.
TFTC Bonfire7- a favourite for putting out some caches to collect

What a beautiful location, a magical place. This was one of many caches for the day. It was the perfect day for caching. TFTC
Lucky it is low tide, another quick find. Log is a bit soggy, but still writable TFTC
Another Bonfire7 cache found this afternoon at Greenwell Point. Had some prying eyes around but as the cache was sitting way out in the open, it was an easy peasy find. Suspect the cache has moved from it's original location though as it was not all hidden. Thankyou for bring me here though!
Suggest you swing by and take a look Bonfire7 as this one could get very easily muggled.
Cheers

People living here are unbelievably lucky to have such a beautiful location to wake up to every morning. Covering had fallen away so we replaced it to ensure it could not be seen by passing muggles. TFTC Bonfire7. Kutgw
Just realised that I found this cache a couple of weeks ago (now the 25th) & had forgotten to log it.
I was on a mini-road-trip after the Mega & stopped at Nowra for a couple of nights - a delightful base from which to explore. The whole coastline is gorgeous, with lovely nooks & crannies. I did a quick scurry down to this one.
Thanks for this one, Bonfire7. Greetings from Christchurch.

Found this on after work, was a easy find due to hint but a cool spot to hide.
Tftc -enjoyed a delicious meal at the famous Pelican Rocks Cafe then continued on to find the last cache of our trip to GP.
18,196. Found during a bonus day trip to Nowra for school soccer duties with minniek.
A last minute decision to take one of the Geo-kids on a school soccer trip led us to some caching time around the region. After the game we headed back out for a few more in the general area. Heading towards the coast we did a string of nice Trads. This was a park and short walk for a quick find at GZ. Signed as we watched a local doing running-repairs to his seawall.
Thanks Bonfire7 !!

Had to head down to Nowra for a school soccer competition with one of my kids today so fitzy_1965 kept us company. Dropped son for warm up and went caching.
Went back at what we thought was half time to find one our of kids injured (broken arm and ligament damage )....so stayed for the rest of the game once it was back underway.
Fitzy_1965 dropped me off and went and parked then joined me. I had spotted the cache just as he arrived. Thankfully, we were just out of site of the local building his own little part of the rock wall 'because the council won't do it!'.

Clever!! We came at high tide but it was only a small stretch to grab it! Thanks!!
Sax64 and I travelled down to Greenwell point to camp for the long weekend and after we set up we decided to take Banjo the geohound for a walk and grab some caches. Such a beautiful area and took some photos of the Pelicans and boats on the inlet. We got to gz and it didn't take long to find retrieve sign log and replace as we found and move on to the next one. Another day clearing out a chunk on the map. Today we hit the Currambene State Forest, Crookhaven, Orient Point, Culburra, Mayfield, Greenwell Point and Worrigee, before heading to Wollongong for dinner and the new caches near Lake Illawarra. It was unreal - 30 finds in 6.5hrs, with 0 DNF's - an awesome effort to clear a significant section of the map! Thanks to the Cache Owners for maintaining the caches that I visited today.
Smashed out the 5 caches in Greenwell Point with the CO! This one was a quick find after a short walk. One of the neighbours popped out to say hello. TFTC

Having driven from Canberra yesterday I've spent a bit of time exploring nowra. Now it's time to head towards home.
Rock walk falling down

Quick find not far from our motel. Lovely and quiet at 9.30 and low tide; a complete contrast from our part of the world.

Quick and easy find at GZ. Surprised at the lack of people around! Thanks Bonfire7 for the cache
Lucky, it was not high tide. A reasonably quick find, followed by a lengthy conversation with a local who was watching us. He knew all about geocaching and was happy to see cachers come along. TFTC. Now, to buy some oysters.
The caching list for today involved a random selection of caches around the towns of Greenwell Point, Culburra, Callala, Callala Beach and Currarong. All were found to be in good order and each log had our name added before being returned to its proper place. This cache was nice and easy to find as it was possible to walk on the sand. Thank you to Bonfire7 for placing this cache.
Quieter GZ than some nearby hides so was startled by the presence of a resident in their yard as I poked my head back up from below the rock line. Luckily she was facing the other way and I could stealthily sign the log and make my getaway back to the car unseen.
