Found a safe spot to park and wandered on over. Managed to get loads of spiderwebs all over me and overcome my concern about what they represented and yet still nothing to be found. Then a few moments later I spotted it a little further away than the hint suggests and its not the style of hide suggested either. TLC is needed here - container broken and log not signable as its simply mush from the water that has gotten in. Have taken a photo of the find. Thanks for the cache.
First cache found on this new account started geocaching back up with my fiance used to do it with my dad when I was little before he passed! Glad to be back and doing it! Nice and easy one to get us started!
Out early this morning with Hal2929 picking up a few of the nearby caches before heading to arena for the annual national bridge congress. Thanks josh W for placing and maintaining
In the area playing bridge and getting some caches. Found with Kiscardi. A quick find. All good with the cache. Thanks
A quick jaunt to knock this off. Not too busy today so no problem, a bit smelly though! Tftc!
Nice easy find
Just over this way filling in sometime
Hint spot on and still nice and dry
thanks

TEL looks bloody impressive from here! Can appreciate the massive development happening as well. Interrupted a massive spider eating its lunch to grab this one out. Cheere
Monday must be a great day for caching - almost no traffic so we had the place to ourselves. Cache is all good. Fitted in a bit of SWAG as well. Amazed at all the houses going up here. TFTC
Found it out on a day of adventuring. This one has been bugging me for a while so really pleased to get it.
#983 - After our Tsunami threats yesterday, was nice to have a day out collecting a few caches in the area I hadn't got yet.
Such a busy area so have been hesitant to try this one, but it was easier than expected! Yay another one ticked off. Tftc.

We had an unexpected spare couple of hours, so decided to do a spot of geocaching. This one was easily found, and we were as subtle as we could be on a State Highway! Watch out for spiders, though! TFTC
Over and out. No problems finding the new container and log. Felt like a FTF but sadly not. TFTC
Tftc, found lying on ground in plastic bag and log only,no container in sight I did not have another container , so log in bag placed under a couple of rocks but can not imagine it is going to survive long ,suggest maintenance to this cache
Due to the last find reporting that the cache has gone partially missing (Thanks for letting me know by the way!), I have replaced the original pill bottle sized cache with a small plastic container (A decent upgrade if you ask me). I was unable to locate the log of the old cache, but the new container has a new logbook in it. Have placed the container in the original hiding spot I selected when I first placed it.
It's coming up to 4 years old now. So I am surprised it lasted this long.
Thanks to all who have visited, and I hope this new container will last just as long as the previous one did.
Happy caching all!

Nice find on a short trip away, we enjoyed the drive around.

It's Boxing Day and the Christmas visitors have left so it was time to hunt down a couple of caches before the rain came. Came out to this overpass and pretty quickly located the hide. Ran back down the hill to our car and that was the Boxing Day exercise acheived too! Tftc
Kathy kaches and I went out today planning on getting the blokart cache, which we were unsuccessful, so decided to get this one instead. Parked at the blokart entrance and raced up - kk was determined to get it before me but she had not read the hint, so I found it first on to pa site next. Thanks for the cache!
Got to GZ, and headed over to the wrong side, looked at my phone and realised, crossed over, waved at the people sitting in the car about 15m from the cache and headed for the retrevial. Smiled and said hi to the older couple in their car, as i walked back to my car.
Picked this one up while checking out another local cache that I did not have the TOTT for. Was able to park fairly close by and it was a nice easy retrieve. Took it back to the car to sign, and then returned when there was a lull in the cars driving past. SL. TFTC!
Good place for a cache, and not so far away from another (that I am still thinking about!) TFTC
On a trip over the Kaimais to escape the fog/rain & instead enjoy some lovely mid-winter BOP sunshine. Nice quick find here. Cache signed & replaced as found, TFTC
Lucky traffic not too bad this time of day....
Was lucky to be taken here by Billelle...
Easy find.

Took a while and I really should learn to go more with the clues than my phones gps!!! Nice cache...thanks
As hint says very busy place so be aware. Nice easy find but there is danger the cache can be pushed back to far.

Unable to find after an extensive search. Strongly suspect cache has been muggled
A nice quick and easy find on our way back to the Mount from Te Puke TFTC
I passed the bridge, parked and went back. I expected something magnetic and 'touched around', finally grabbed in cobweb and found it.
2524 Stood and watched the workings going on below as I signed log and waited for traffic to pass.
I am back in Papamoa again for a couple of days to attend the GIFF event, to visit some great friends and to sign off a few more caches before heading further eastwards.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Nice hide - took way longer than it should've as i somehow missed it on my first pass. Tftc
Checked on the cache last night.
It's still there. However, didn't get a chance to check it properly...

We tried the wrong side first lol. Then zeroed in on the cache, though missed it at first attempt...however the clue was very clear. Thanks for the cache.
Up from the Bay ( Hawkes Bay that is ) for a Visit. Sister ( Tigatat2 ) had a day off work, due to the weather, so caching we go. I'm so amazed at how fast B.O.P has forged ahead. Not only this expressway which has been in the planing for decades, but the growth of Papamoa. Brought back memories. Nice hide. Cheers.
A quick find today after a pump at the block art near by. Many thanks for another smiley.
We felt very conspicuous up here, especially when I dropped one of the pieces of paper and Steed had to climb over and retrieve it.
After doing the new cache on Te Matai road we decided we would carry on to Te Puke and Tauranga and do a few more rather than just turn around and go back. . Arrived at GZ and Mr S hopped over to go and hunt while Mrs S waited at the top. Mr S was having a bit of trouble, so Mrs S read the previous logs and thought..........aha.......try this. Called out to Mr S here it is, just as he was about to give up. lol .
Thanks Josh W.
Thanks Josh W.
Spent ten minutes looking in totally the wrong place before it finally clicked for our last cache of the evening with Steiney4. TFTC!
Initially took a little bit of thinking but once we read the clue it was a pretty quick find on a night raid with SamTaylor02.
Looked high and low and had no luck. Found plenty of beautiful little frogs. ignored gps and looked in a more mundane spot and came up trumps. So glad to get this as 2 year old in tow and not ideal. Thanks for bringing us here
Found during a mini get together and Papamoa bike ride with TNX Pro, NZBiscuit and Toastershoes.
After checking out the Blokart cache we moved on, up to this one that I have been meaning to get for some time. Cache easily found, signed and replaced.

Easter Weekend and a post on Facebook for a bike ride to collect a few caches. Excellent idea so joined in. Very quick find and quickly on our way
Totally looking in the wrong place very interesting experience felt quite reckless evebtually logic saw us with cache in hand
We had a great view of the motorway from up here - and there were rather more cars using it than we would have expected, thanks for the cache.
Joined up with yorkshirekiwi83 today and headed down to Papamoa and Mount Maunganui for a long day of caching. We arrived in Papamoa early in the morning and then spent the rest of this hot summers day making our way to The Mount and finding what caches we could along the way. A quick find of the cache here, while on our travels. TFTC!

Vistra and I had decided to go for a full on day and head down to Papamoa / Mount Maunganui to see if we could get some numbers and quick drive bys.
Parked near, jumped the barrier and quickly made the find. TFTC

Parked on the other side of the bridge and made a short walk back to GZ. Cache quickly found and log signed. Very breezy up here, TFTC!
Quick find on our way home after spending Xmas caching in Taranaki. It was warm during our evening visit but very breezy TFTC.
An afternoon caching around Papamoa. A quick trek on the bridge and the cache was soon in hand TFTC
Not so sure about OAP's clambering around and about "over and underpasses" but one of us did and the cache was quickly in hand
The weather was wet and cool so didn't hang around to admire the view

Wasn't planning on caching today but had nothing to do this arvo so out to Papamoa I go.
Second try at this one, gps was 8m out but found it eventually. I was under the overpass last time.
Thanks Josh W

We parked on the wrong side of the over pass so walked back. A lovely day for caching tftc
Today is International Earthcache Day so a plann was hatched some time ago for White Island in conjunction with Alpenmilch80. However due to weather cancellations it has now worked out (this is our fourth attempt) so now today we are finally going . Needless to say that this was going to be a very long but memorable day (left home at 3.20am, got home at 7.45pm). Our planned meet up time was 6am at the Mount for the adventure to begin.
So in the company with Sleschke we headed over for what was going to be a most memorable day out with good friends in a great and unique spot.
After such a great day out at the island it was time to grab a final few that we had heard about. As this had so many favs we thought it worth investigating. A quick scan soon revealed what we needed to do and a bit of jiggery pokery (as the log appeared to be stuck) we had the cache out and signed as SAC (our collective names).
thanks for the placement, thanks for the cache

Found reasonably quickly thanks to the hint. Not much traffic here today and great views from GZ. Thanks Josh W, another day filled in on the calendar.
This geocache was found on my third trip to Tauranga/ The Mount/ Papamoa in the company of HKCB and 11hpg11 with a plan to clear out the area. We were joined today by Kyb3r another Hamilton Geocacher who was keen to be part of an infamous ‘mad mission’. We signed the logs with an anachronism of our Geocaching handles, usually ‘1HIK’ or ‘HIK1’. There were plenty of memorable moments and a lot of laughs as well. It was another long day; I got up at 4am and didn’t get to bed until midnight. We were a little disappointed not to meet our goal only getting about half way through our list of unfound caches. However we did tackle a number of difficult and complicated hides. We found some great and memorable caches and of course now have a great excuse to organise another trip to the area. Thanks to all the CO’s who provided us with such a great day out.
I searched all the hard to get to places while 11hpg11 calmly went about finding the cache.

Out on an epic caching adventure with HKCB, iammrwalker and 11hpg11 as an honourary guest and the 'K' in signature 1HIK or HIK1 to make a dent in the caches of Tauranga.
We had a bit of trouble initially, myself especially over-complicating this hide. HPG found this one much easier as our last found cache for the night. Back to Hamilton we go!

Another big mission for our little Hamilton team. Maybe this time we can clean out Tauranga and the surrounding areas. Our team consisted of HKCB, Iammrwalker, Kyb3r and myself. We signed the logs as HIK1 (or 1HIK as the day went on!) Another 4am wakeup and we were on the road by 5am. Back home by 11pm I think it was, it was all kind of a blur by then! We were fueled by Sour Patch Kids, B.K., Caffeine and quite a few painkillers. We had a great day with a large variety of cache types, sizes and difficulty! Thanks to all the cache owners for their hard work on giving us some great quality caches to find. We had a few milestones hit today and I think we all had a great time. Looks like we might be back again some time in the future!
The boys got excited by the terrain on this one and headed off into the darkness. I read the hint again and stuck closer to the road and bingo, soon found the cache. Thanks for the cache!

This is the 3rd mission over to Tauranga in recent months with 11HPG11 and iammrwalker to turn the place into a bunch of similes, but this time Kyb3r joined in on the fun also. An early start from Hamilton meant we were greeted by a fantastic sunrise of Tauranga as we made our way down from the Kaimai's, and by the time we had decided we had had enough the sun had well and truly gone to bed, but we did see it disappear while halfway up the Mount.
We found some great caches throughout the day and had some very memorable moments, and I even hit a major milestone, my 5000th cache find. We signed the logs 1HIK (an acronym of our caching names) or some combination of these letters to save room on the logs. A big thanks to everyone for all of the great cache hides.
Lucky it was nice and quite here this evening. Dropped off the crew at GZ and waited in the car for safety reasons. Lucky it didn't take too long to locate, and we were out of there before a car went past.

Grabbed this while out to feed the horse. Had to pause and enjoy the view while a cyclist came by, asked directions, and carried on.
