Sorry just couldn't get around to it. They changed the steps and I couldn't get around to getting the right numbers and converting the puzzle. Have lost interest in geocaching in the past two years or so. It was a good run but I'll have to adopt out my caches I think as I have no motivation for it any more.
I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

I can now get back in to check the new step numbers. If I don't get this done soon I will archive as I don't have much time these days.
Still can't get to one of the changed sets of steps to alter the count. Hope I can do it soon.
To hold off the archive machine I have to post another note. I've changed the cache type as I couldn't find a spot for the ammo can that I could trust not to get muggled again. So it's a matter of getting out there again. Hopefully soon.
What a disappointment! After counting Monteith Steel almost a year ago, The_Jugheads and I headed out today to count the remaining stairs and find this cache.
The first 4 WPs were great, but 5&6 appear to have changed significantly since the cache was put into place, so we had to have a bit of a play around (read:guess) with step counts before we got a green light on GZ.
Found GZ ok, but rooting around in leaves and under rocks around the final step still left us with empty hands. I’ll wait to hear some confirmation that this is still in place before we come back to turn this little blue face yellow.

I'd picked these way points off, one by one, over the space of about 6 months last year. Grabbing the info whenever I was close enough to warrant a detour.
With the final steps undergoing construction I put it on the shelf and almost forgot about it until a message from the CO confirmed the details I was missing.
I fired off a message to Coastblue as I knew she'd also visited the WP's with Rodney1210, we confirmed that our maths was a match and hatched a plan to head to "almost" GZ.
Rodney1210 picked me and my muggle Mum up from North Sydney station and off we went.
Approaching from the top we made our way to the calculated spot then started counting steps .....again LOL
A beautiful area and my favourite cache container definitely put a smile on my face and on my map

OCW Rodney1210 and The Bebes. We had solved this one while it was disabled or at least all of the waypoints except for the last one that had changed. I kept it on my watch list and when I saw the information was given for the last waypoint, I was quickly organising a time for us to meet up and pick up the unloved time. What better day than today and what perfect timing! Coincidentally, this container type is the target of the monthly geochallenge and so finally turning this one into a smiley not only gives me unloved time but also an entry in the geochallenge! Ten thousand steps is something I aspire to do everyday. More often than not, I get close but this multi certainly took care of that goal even without finishing it when we started it. TFTC!
A few months ago, Coastblue and I started on this multi but ran into a snag only to discover steps that were being rebuilt meant the coordinates were out. With the COs recent post about what numbers we need to complete, I teamed up with Coastblue and The Bebes to finally tick this one off the list and claim nearly a year of unloved days. It to GZ and followed the instructions to make a quick find. Glad to put this to rest once and for all! Cache# 906 TFTC
Haven't confirmed final number of steps yet but in the meantime just use 127 for WP6 until I update the formula.
The steps at WP6 are being rebuilt in places so the number you get may not match the solution. I've done a new count and will modify but I can't be certain the numbers will remain the same as the workers haven't finished yet. Contact me if not sure.
The journey started sometime last year with the steel steps at the listed co-ordinates. The geodoggie doesn't like these kinds of steps but I am not sure if it because she can't grip the ground with her paws or whether she doesn't like looking through the grating. The next steps were counted on 23/7/16, I know this because I posted a DNF on the now archived Jacques O'Rander. On a hot February day I counted the steps in Westleigh. And then last weekend during a downpour I counted the steps in the quarry.
I stuffed up though because I couldn't get the checker to agree. I reached out for help and it turns out I was right except for the last one. But I was wrong by 40 steps! This seems to be bcause I didn't read the description properly (I missed about the bit to start counting after the large rock on the right).
I didn't think I would be back so soon but a sought after movable cache appeared in Waitara overnight. So after the CITO in Greenacre I deemed it worth coming up for the movable which could disappear at any time. Then it was only a bit further to this one.
So, after some more steps in a lovely bush setting, I found the cache just where it should be.
TFTC Yurt, a great step-by-step introduction to the art of stepping. A favourite.

An excellent multi-cache that included a number of the steps that I have traveled up and down previously.
Loved the idea and the exercise - especially helpful for the recover for my broken foot.
I collected the answers over 3 trips into the Hornsby /Turramurra area, today I only need to pick up one more. I was concerned over 1 count so I checked with the CO who gladly confirmed. He was in the area and offered to come for the walk to GZ using the alternative route.
After making the necessary adjustments I made a quick find of the voluminous cache - as always, great to see an ammox box in an urban environment..
Thanks for an excellent cache Yurt. Gets a fave point.

I put this on the must-do list-of-one for this week but the sudden change in weather ate severely into my planned stepping time. A bit of thought after dinner tonight and I decided to try an alternative approach and leave the legwork for another day(s).
Well after sunset, armed with not much more that intuition, and certainly none of that HD golden ratio sharps and flats stuff that served Asbestiform so well, I arrived at a very quiet, very dark track and found the entry to my area of interest. I've not been here before but had heard about the place.
Onward and upward I stepped, keeping the torch and eyes focussed in one direction. So many places a cache might be but then one stood out, beckoning a closer visit. I removed a bit of cover without exposing anything interesting but then an unmistakable shade of green just peeked through the next layer. Bingo!
Signed and swapped some trackables, then returned to the accompaniment of the sound of low-flapping bats.
I will take steps to take the steps sooner or later and update. Truly!
Thanks Yurt. A clever idea, that I'll enjoy finishing properly.
Chapter II. 24/3/16
Bit by bit I've finished all the stairs now. Fortunately I didn't need 10,000 steps but certainly more than 3000 with all the rechecks, walks from parking spots etc. Anyway, they all added up to a green tick.
I enjoyed the idea, the exercise and the find, as well as the the various WPs, some of which I'd not visited before. Oh yeah, and it's not a &~%$# nano! So well worth a fave!

After enjoying a great chat over a coffee with the CO today, it was time to finally complete this excellent multi. It's been somewhat of an extended process to gather all the information needed. I completed the waypoints in random order finishing up with WP1 which happens to be the closest to my work. Still, it didn't matter the order but the calculations needed to be accurate. As I headed toward GZ I decided to take the upper route but this caused me to overshoot my target until I found a way down. I knew the extra calculations that were needed so stopped at what I thought was an appropriate spot and there was the cache staring at me. With great pleasure, I placed my moniker in the logbook for posterity. I returned that cache to its spot and added a few extra rocks for good measure.
This was a very enjoyable multicache to complete that took me to some locations I didn't know existed. Into the bargain, it helped my fitness levels. I did go up and down a few times to make sure my count was accurate!! Top work Yurt. Definitely a favourite!

This cache took three seperate trips to Sydney to work on. But, in the end the numbers all work out nicely and I had my exercise and found a cache!?!
A lovely adventure.

Having done better than 10000 steps yesterday in Higgins Hidden Valley, looking over this mega multi offering this morning decided I would try to exercise the neurons instead of the legs. After 10000 clicks on the neurometer a solution was developed that pointed to a few possible locations. After we allowed for topography, grade, standard H/D stair - step to flat ratios, and construction materials only one area shone out as a highly likely candidate, and it's a spot we are pretty familiar with.
Headed off and parked at the western end and headed down the initially vague trail on foot, following the bits of flagging. First set of stairs were a surprise. Have been here many times but never knew of these before. Continued down then eventually up. Went to the east end and then back down. Only one area looked promising and only a small step away was the container! So with only a small portion of the stairs covered (though we have walked some of the sections previously) we happily signed the log. Grabbed the earth marble TB, left the wild looking gnome TB and returned the container to its hidy hole. Thanks Yurt. I really love these puzzle multis!

I completed calculating the last lot of steps this afternoon after work and have received the green light from GeoCheck as to GZ and the little bit extra stepping that needs to be done. Now to get a window of opportunity to go out there and find it!
Nice one to stretch the legs- and brain as it is astounding how metronomic counts become- but there are flats!
Enjoyed it over three innings
Watch the leeches ( or don't stand still too long) as I had a personal record of 10 for the colonial steps, and two suckers found later!
Be aware that the trailhead helpful suggested once you get the green is now blocked off - gardening company who look pretty settled.
I looped into the TAFE carpark and hopped the back fence- now gotta do in reverse but may take on the mountain bikes to exit elsewhere.
Took a TB and left 2!
Thanks Yurt

We I learnt another lesson, re reading the description sometimes NEEDS to be done.
I started this cache on the day it came out. I happened to be in an area near 2 of the WP's so took the opportunity to get them. The others I left and the FTF went soon after. Then over the course of a few weeks, I stepped up and grabbed all I needed to get to the final location. When I got to the final location, I made the mistake and didn't check the final FINAL GZ, so today armed with that, I went back and stepped some extra steps before making the find. Cache was a little uncovered, but I fixed that. I SL, Took one TB to move on and discovered the other one that was in there. A great multi Yurt and a FAV point from me. Steps done!! TFTC.

Oh well NOT an easy find for me on the last day of the year. I searched for 25min and with no TAF to ask, had to give up and go to work. Next year maybe.
Find #: 1,195
Companions: None
Muggles: Some muggle walkers at some of the WPs
Cache Condition: Good
This cache took a few goes to complete, but I am pretty sure I hit 10,000 steps without needing to add up all the Fitbit segments. I started with WP1 soon after the cache's publication, as it is an easy jog from home. It was a while until I was in my old neighbourhood around Normanhurst and Westleigh to explore those WPs, and then the Hornsby set, my favourite due to their location and views if disturbing sounds of the nearby rifle range (calm day). I jogged up the Alinta set on the way back from a long run, which turned out to be the only stairs I didn't traverse in both directions.
When I tried to put all of the numbers together I couldn't get something that the checker liked, but the location seemed clear from multiple clues, and I therefore decided to try what I had rather than return to each of the exercise-yards.
Today I had to drop my youngest son at orientation for school next year (where does the time go?!), which was a reasonable gap after the drop-off of the other 2, so I decided to take him for a little walk; he grumbled at first at the concept, but was happy during and after. We got to my calculated GZ and I was heartened to see that it was indeed plausible, and even more heartened when we found the container after following the final instructions. I signed the log while he examined the contents, and we then returned to the car and the day's activities.
Thanks for a fun cache and idea.

Some weeks ago I was watching my son playing cricket at Mimosa Oval and, during a rather dull passage of play, checked for nearby caches and this multi came up. It looked most intriguing and, best of all, there were a couple of waypoints I could visit on the way home. Over the weeks, I gradually gathered the numbers I needed, YGAT kindly helping me with some of the step counting, until I had a set of coordinates which were surprisingly confirmed first time by the checker.
This morning, we took a pleasant stroll along a fire trail, counted a few more steps and soon had cache in hand. It was great to finally encounter a container large and safe enough to drop a couple of well-travelled trackables into.
This cache is a great idea, a lot of fun and very beneficial in terms of the exercise we received. It gets a favourite from me.

This was great fun, though a little exhausting at times as Mr MR insisted we double or triple check some waypoints to ensure we had the right numbers and would not have to return. Many of the steps, including today’s, I didn’t know existed before tackling them as part of this multi-cache. It is an excellent multi, thanks Yurt for setting it up it must have taken some time and effort.
I started a few days ago with the intention of knocking it all over in a day but seriously underestimated how far I would need to walk. The first day I managed to get the first two waypoints done. To be fair, I was distracted by a whole bunch of other caches and ingress portals on the way between waypoints so it took up a lot of my time.
Yesterday I was determined to finish it off so I parked the car at waypoint 3 and off I went. I got the count right and walked to WP4 and had to triple check my number here. I decided to do the bushwalk here to the next waypoint and I loved it. I grabbed some caches along the way and took a break at WP5. I got to the top and realised that I had passed WP6 so I had to climb down and do it all again. It's cool, I needed the exercise anyway.
I checked my numbers, did the math and surprisingly I had the right co-ords! At GZ it was a pretty simple find. I walked back to WP3 where I had parked and hopped in the car about 2 minutes before a storm started. I was tired, sore and a bit bloody from a couple of leeches but all in all it was an epic cache that took me to some really cool places. TFTC!

(#19) Wow what an adventure - and definitely not all on foot. I decided to switch the order of WP3 and 4. Keep in mind that there can be heavy traffic from WP2 to WP3/4. My step counts were pretty accurate but the check for WP6 was definitely useful. Being familiar with the GZ area, I thought I could navigate to the final set of steps without using GPS, but this just resulted in getting there the hard way and I was rewarded by an afternoon shower. Being the third find for the day, I did manage to get 10K steps (thanks Fitbit) just prior to finding the cache. The final clue made the find quite easy. TFTC
Finally reached the 10 000th step and caught the travelator out, back to the road.
Just what catchers do, walking!!!
Straight after work, headed to WP1, really didn't read the description and honestly thought a multi that would take 30mins and not the 3hrs as I'd expected, more due to traffic.
Tackled as per WP order, just swapped no. 3&4 around. WP5, counted twice as I'd lost my count. Now, I counted down to WP6 and yes, did end in the four but where is WP6?. Wasn't until I followed for 50m along until the stairs returned, and that one finished with the right amount too.
Oh,, goodie!
Worked out GZ and started my trek as the sun is setting.
At GZ, I searched all at the bottom without luck as it looks like the previous guys did the same. 15-20mins here, hmmm. Wasn't until I read the description notes that the CO had that final twist and soon was in the right GZ with CIH. Had no intentions in undergoing a

Congratulations to the FTFs (First Two Finders). At least I am reassured I've counted correctly and the maths works. So let's see some more finders!

I missed yesterday's flurry of new-cache-chasing, being busy with a few errands and had already been out earlier in the morning, but I did manage to visit the stairs at Thornleigh and Turramurra just before it got dark.
This morning, I did the other 4 stair cases; during my walk down the Quarry Stone WPs I got to hear the car-alarm-like booming of a frogmouth the whole way down. At the bottom, there was a convenient picnic area to sit down and do my calculations at, although the signal was poor down there and I needed to ascend a little to get a green tick from the geochecker. Only then did the rain get really heavy, so I returned to the car, grabbed an umbrella, and then proceeded towards GZ.
Climbed the required number of steps at the end and then looked about for a likely hiding spot - and got lucky at the first spot! I opened up to confirm a blank log, and then made sure to make a quick, brief online log. Checked my Garmin (not my Oregon GPSR, but my vivofit): the last 4 sets of stairs plus GZ had earned me 3000 steps so far - a good start for the day. Mind you, I'm updating this log nearly hours later and I've only added another 1000 steps
Great concept, nice locations and some good walking - what's not to like? Fave point awarded. TFTC.

Well that was fun, informative and probably good for mind, body and spirit! however, not so good for my phone. The rain came down quite heavily last night just as I got the final coordinates.
It must have shorted out something as the screen suddenly went blank! ( If I can get my phone back in working order I have some images of this epic journey to add to the gallery). Hmmm, luckily I had the paper work under plastic with the final sums, so I was able to pinpoint GZ on the home computer.
This morning, before taking the phone to the repairer, I knew I could find the hide without the phone (what I like to call 'going commando') particularly as I had been to these coordinates before and even have a picture of the area in question!
I ended up following some familiar looking muddy footprints to GZ and stepped up to the hide to find KRS had just left, right, left right left his mark!
Terrified of the consequences for not logging the find in the field before the required nano seconds were up, I raced back to the Geo-mobile in order to get to the repair shop as quickly as possible.
Alas, the phone would have to have a sleep over, so apologies for such a late 2nd to find log...
It is always good to combine local lane ways, new bush tracks, mental gymnastics and Geocaching!
Thanks heaps Yurt - here's a favourite!

Ten thousand steps please...
Is that just for five minutes?
No, the full half hour!
It must have shorted out something as the screen suddenly went blank! ( If I can get my phone back in working order I have some images of this epic journey to add to the gallery). Hmmm, luckily I had the paper work under plastic with the final sums, so I was able to pinpoint GZ on the home computer.

Wow!! This looks like fun! Challenge accepted! (I should finish Higgins Hidden Valley first, shouldn't I???)
