A quick and easy find after bush bashing through this overgrown park. Thanks Sweet-sour/youngoldfella!
Arrived at GZ to see one large roo. Must be guardian of the cache. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Now to get out of here without getting lost. Thanks Sweet-Sour. All good with this cache.
Thank goodness this was a quick find just wanted to sign the log and get out of here as quick as possible. There were three big Roos
Short walk in the park before finding it sitting out waiting. Recent bandicoots or wild pigs digging up in area and BIG kangaroos.
And the last cache for today, Quite the bush bash through spider webs and the hordes of ruthless mozzies!.. Saltmarsh Mozzies i believe they are called, Way more aggressive than the mozzies back home in melbourne!
None the less the cache was found all in good order, Log was signed inbetween arm swings of rage trying to squish those bugs!

I think this might be the one where I lost my sunnies. I do that at least once a month on caching trips. I put them on my head so I can see the screen and then I get clobbered by a low hanging branch. Found the cache though.
Tftc Sweet-Sour, touring around Booral we stopped to look for this cache. Arrived at the entrance gate and saw a very overgrown area. As we were here thought , ok , have a look.
Ventured in and there was a lot of bush to bash through. Sighted the cache from a bit of a distance , so couldn't leave without signing.

Found while visiting friends in the Harvey Bay area for a few days. This was a quick find and the cache was OK. TFTC.
During our short caravan trip, we spent one day in Hervey Bay. We love the spectacular views on the water and to refresh our memories.
And tackle new caches and older ones.
Thanks for doing the maintenance, Sweet-Sour, and you are right: very prickly all the way.
But we could change our DNF into a smilie!

Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that i can claim the finds or not as the case may be. TFTC.
29/6/21 Staying in Harvey Bay catching up with my Parents who have travelled here for a visit. I am on holidays from Mackay. Beautiful sunny weather today. TFTC SL
Found our way to GZ eventually (feeling like Burke and Wills) no cache found at GZ so widened our search out to 12m from GZ, still nothing fitted the clue. No smiley for us today.
5th cache for the day and I thought this would be a nice simple one. Got close and parked in a park, not the right park lol. Back in the car to go around the corner. After walking through the gate the trail was evident but once it got out onto the clearing it was clear. It's well over grown with weeds. After trying several directions trying to find a trail around the 'clearing' eventually I just bulldozed my way through and soon had cache in hand, there was no other trail. It is just well and truly overgrown
That was a bit of an adventure in the park! My coords were 9mtrs out today. Needed to bend a bit in there. Great cache thanks SweetNSour.
Could the next 3 finders post some co-ords of the hide, please. Not happy with the current co-ords
Happy hunting

Hi there Sweet-Sour.
We are visiting Hervey Bay for a few days, and today we ranged further afield before logging some caches in the nearby suburban streets. This park, and the route to the cache, is really overgrown. We got covered in seeds and burrs on our way in today.
We found 10 caches today & DNF'd 1. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 8m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

This was my last for the morning so I bashed on into the scrub and weeds untill I found it. Certainly overgrown here! Came out covered in seeds and burrs etc which required a complete change of clothes afterward. Still, did what I came here for, found the cache.
DNF there may have been a path some time ago but the whole area is 6’ft high weeds with sticky spikes. Tried our best to get within 20m but could not go any further as weeds were thick and taller than me.
10.30am - Very quiet in area today. Woke a dog when the entrance gate shut with a bang. Good Co Ords to find. SLTFTC
Went to the Queensland for 10 day's, landing on the Goldcoast, picking up a car rental. We spent the first 4 days staying in a nice hotel in Surfers paradise, doing all the Theme parks and some caching... While at the theme parks we got to pat Dolphins, feed Tigers etc. Then we headed up to Australia Zoo, where we booked a Tiger wall, Which was amazing, after the day at the zoo, we headed to Harvey bay, for 4 day's before heading back to the Goldcoast to return car, and catch flight home. Really loved the new Lego store at Dreamworld, went back 3 times.Tftc
Quick find. Another couple of weeks and the weeds look like they will make it interesting

Continuing on with our early morning run we headed over to this cache. We didn't think we would get any more in but once messages were sent back of 'r u awake?' We waited 3 seconds and there was no response, we took that as 'keep on caching'.
Both of us were chatting away with how awesome it is the kids are sleeping in now and we get to take off and enjoy our fun together and all of a sudden bam we jump 6 feet high, maybe 2, a kangaroo jumps out of no where and we thought r we in tincha??? We weren't quite ready for him, he bounced on unconcerned, he was the last of our concerns, the possum was far more scary...

Another perfect warm winter day for a drive around near Urangan.
Not many muggles around and a good quick find here.
Thanks for the cache Sweet-Sour,

Not clear how to get to, went through a gate (not sure if this was what we should have done) and followed some paths but couldnt get near location. Fail this time
After a short trek along some dodgy paths, we had this one in hand. Thanks Sweet-Sour for showing us this area. Cheers from Bindair Dundat and Princess Madelyn.
Another great find for geokid & geopooches. Thanks for bringing us to an area we wouldn't have otherwise visited
Travelling around Australia and currently staying in Hervey Bay, Queensland for a few days .
So very hot here at the moment. Its been airconditioned caravan or airconditioned car! BUT today we changed that and decided to head out on the GeoBikes for a few hours.
After a fish n chip lunch Mrs Felix cycled home and Mr Felix continued on alone as the afternoon thunderstorm approached.

Found cache uncovered in the correct spot so made sure it was well recovered after signing logbook. Unfortunately burrs were a bit of problem due to this time of the year but did not take log to get them off the clothes.
TFTC Sweet-Sour and for bringing us to the 4 parks to find your well planned caches.

Beautiful afternoon after the downpour last night. Quick find after a short search. Startled a large Kangaroo near the cache! TFTC.
Had a day out with Bill and Di Morgan and had fun finding this cache. We found this one without any problem. Thanks to Sweet-Sour for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the location.
We are camped in the RV Homebase for a couple of days.Today we went caching with Liz and Bruce in the Hervey Bay area.
This was a delightful day trip finding many interesting caches in some remarkable area.
Thanks for placing this cache Sweet-Sour

Up at Hervey Bay for Easter ... and out with Lochb's Geomum to find the caches that have been published since my last visit. Or that I missed last time. Or the time before. Found after a quick bush bash. TFTC
Decided today was the day to conquer Maryborough and Hervey Bay and whilst at it why not Tin Can Bay and all the new ones at Gympie. Left home at 0430 and arrived home at 2030. Just over 600 kilometers of driving. Took plenty of rest and meal stops. This kind of driving and distance is not new to me. 24 finds for the day and no DNF's but came so close a few times but stayed at it. Only PAF twice. Did not get all the Gympie ones as I ran out of daylight and one particular cache , Mail box Multi, took far too much time.
I arrived at a spot and parked off road safely. Took one look into the bush and thought that was a challenge. Entered the park and followed the compass on the GPSr and soon arrived at a point indicated as GZ by the trusty GPSr. Did not have to bush bash but those supposed faint to see trails were faint to see and I do not mind light foliage. Quick easy find once at GZ. Ran out of time and daylight to pay you a visit today. Next time as I still have unfound caches on the North side of Gympie to find.
TFTC Sweet-Sour.

Found the possum park entry and a gate/entry, wasn't sure if the right place. ..
Didn't feel brave enough to go through the bush today

Out with my son Brother Colin, he's trying to find the rest of mine that he hasn't found, and I'm tagging along.
He wanted to climb through the fence, there's no need for that.
I'll blame the tree cover for the false cords.

Out and about today with Sweet-Sour on a bit of a road trip to find more of Sweet-Sour's caches. As I am the highest finder at the moment of his caches I want to keep the title.
As I approach GZ (and the barbed wire fence) I though I had better read some logs as it seemed strange to heading over the fence. As others have mentioned there is NO need to cross the fence. As the cache was soon spotted a few meters to my left.
New co-ordinates given to the CO.
Thanks for the cache. A fav point from me.

DNF for this round, I got to within about 5m of co-ords, but couldn't see any obvious hiding spots and didn't want to go through all the lantana. Cool little area that I didn't know existed, will be back at a later date to collect.
Found this one, but our phone co-ords were a bit off. We had to bush bash a bit through the lantana. The clue was super helpful as we were in the wrong spot - we realised that there was no need to go over the barbed wire into the mangroves.
Found at 10.35hrs. Walked through the gate and followed the track and the GPS right to GZ. It was quicker than I expected considering the previous logs. Another park I didn't know existed.

Decided late in the day to try for this one after a hectic couple days in Brisbane caching and going to the football.
Arrived at the park and haphazardly applied some bug repellent and off we went in search of it. Got near the gz and the gps signal was all over the shop so had to resort to good old cache sense.
We scrambled around for a fair while whilst regretting the quick nature of our bug protection application as we were a feast for the bugs that evening.
As with jollyroger&son were were wishing that we had brought a machete too and had started to accept defeat when I decided to try one last spot and voila there it was.
It was a quick sign of the log and we were out of there.

Spent an inordinate amount of time on this cache before admitting defeat. (Should have brought a machete!)
