After arriving at the coords we have remember that we have been here before. Previously found in 2021 with the cupcake ninjas.
Relaxing day at the park in town. Worked out the information thanks to google, and went to GZ. Had to be careful with many muggles nearby, but found the cache ok. TFTC
Couldn't find this today, unfortunately, as I won't be back to Forbes anytime soon.
Having done the research and worked out the coordinates some time ago today was the day I was driving through Forbes on my way to Queensland so I made the required detour to make the search and this resulted in a quick find as well as a visit to a well known character resting in peace.
I believe this is about the 3rd time I have been here over the years. Worked out the history probably over 2 years ago. Today was the first opportunity to get this one.I believe the person near here once held up some of my relatives in their house. Thanks for this one
Found with The X-Trailers after setting Up camp in Forbes. A fav point today for the history lesson. TFTC

Was getting some very strange GPS locations but a logical assumption on the GZ meant I quickly had cache in hand. TFTC!
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
We are on a ten-day road trip from Sydney around the Central West. On our way today from Parkes to Cowra. We solved the puzzle yesterday while we were visiting Sculptures Down the Lachlan. What a surprise when we arrived at GZ to find that it fit perfectly with one of the themes of our trip! SL TFTC Cheers Gaztek
After a big week caching around Canberra and attending Mega, it's time for the slow "detour" home. This one was interesting. We arrived at the fitting location of GZ and noticed a couple leaving. He noticed we had interest here, a spot he had visited, so came over for a chat. It turns out he has done alot of research on the Bushranger Ben Hall and the area. He is also in bush band and told us of a particular song he liked, which he said he had just played. Thinking a CD, LeeLee asked the name of the song and before we knew it, he had his squeeze box out and played it for us. Quite unique. The song is " The Streets of Forbes". Thanks Joshwa27 for creating for us all to enjoy. We have enjoyed the caches like this we have done. Adding a FP for the experience. ...................................................Nominations for the **2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards** are now open and will close on **17 April 2024**. A quick find here, cache is all goodHeaded over to the Capital GeoBash in Canberra, ACT with Freddo over 5 days, travelling through the central part of NSW before caching around the hinterlands. A nice few days over with great weather. Thanks for the cache
Quick find of this cache. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of OzGeoMuster MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Adelaide to Broken HillDay two. Broken Hill to WellingtonDay three. Wellington to CowraDay four. Cowra to BathurstDay five. Bathurst to CanberraDay six. Canberra to CanberraDay seven. Canberra to QueenbeeyanDay eight. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. A quick stop here to hunt for this. GPSr had me near the bin, it is not there. Nor could I find it on the seat. I read some logs and expanded the search.
I have been on holiday since August 18th, staying at QOGM Longreach Now on the way to Melbourne, we stopped in a few places where the weather was great, warm and sunny every day and cold and rainy after we left Melbourne. Here's one to find today.Thank you for placing the cache Joshwa27.
Catching up with missed logs from our trip to Queensland last September. We headed to Longreach for the last QOGM with The Drovers, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506 naturally stopping to grab any caches that come on the map aiming to get as many LGA's as we can.To save room in the log we signed PDGC (Papi Drovers Geoturtle Crackers)We visited so many caches on our way and after that we now can no longer remember them well but we do want to thank all the cache owners for placing and maintaining them for us to find. We all had a great time as we made our way from town to town enjoying the sights that were on offer,
GT37 and I are very lucky to have this cache as it wasn't on out list. Another in our crew had done the work needed so we are happy to now have a smiley here. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
Geohubby (GeoTigerAce) and I are headed off on a 4 week holiday from Brisbane heading to Canberra, Parkes, Katoomba, Sydney, Melbourne, Ballarat, Dubbo, and Coonabarabran as our main stops, with lots of side stops along the way planned. A much needed road trip to take in the sites and spend some time away in nature.Over the course of our 4 weeks I wanted to focus on Australia's 'oldest' caches, and caches of interest (e.g., iconic locations, interesting locations, lots of favourite points, and places I have never been) as well as hitting my next milestone (#600). It has been a wonderful trip and we have seen so much, and spent a lot of time caching and exploring little places of interest. Thanks to all of the cache owners for maintaining these caches and bringing us to beautiful places on our travels, and challenging us to keep on looking at the world just a little bit differently. Lots of memories have been made.Day 8: TripCache #37: A great way to explore some of the more interesting aspects of Forbes. TFTC.
Heading to Longreach for the last QOGM with Team Crackers, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506.We stopped along the way to pick up a few caches and signed the log as PDGC.(Papi Drovers Geoturtle Crackers) or The Drovers. Thanks to all the Co's for making this trip, more enjoyable. Signed and replaced as found.
DAY 2
After much planning, saving and extra mods to the 4WD we are finally on our way to Longreach to take part in the QOGM festivities. We have just over a week to get there, so a route was planned to encompass uncharted LGA’s as we zig zag our way through NSW, as well as a slight detour to Coffs Harbour to visit family. Will we make it in time? Who knows, but we are going to give it a good shot.
A presolved puzzle that took us to an interesting location.
Thanks Joshwa27 for the mystery placement.

An early start from Narrandera meant there was time to have frequent geo-stops as we headed towards Dubbo. We had worked on this one at home so it was a relief to sign off today, particularly with all the Kelly connections nearby.
**FEEDBACK TO CO** there is no identification on the container or log, hope the gardener doesn't dispose of it.
Thanks to Joshwa27 for adding this cache to the gameboard.

I solved the puzzle and got the coords but could not find the cache. Maybe my GPS is out as I have been having trouble with finding GZ in other caches. I’m quite sure caches are not hidden in the middle of highways as it seems to point me to!!
Thanks for the cache and the puzzles were a great history lesson.

Back again to find this one after it had been replaced. Also came across the old one nearby lying in the open. I've hidden it near where I found it and will send CO the coords to decide what to do with it. TFTC.
Solved puzzle, checked coords and all good but didn't find the cache. Read previous finds and also NFs.
It’s about time I began to head home after the Townsville mega, so I’ve ended up here. Thanks for the puzzles, the caches, the different to the usual finds Joshwa27.
My first mystery cache solved! Looks like the log book has been tampered with though?

Heading up north to Parkes for work. I decided to make the trip a 2 day one, as there is quite a few caches between home and Parkes.
Today was Narrandera to Parkes. Tom tom said I should have gotten to Parkes before 12 but it was just after 1 when came into town. Oh caching is fun.
With help from Tyred n Cranky I ended up with the puzzle solved and only to grab it today.

That was a tough find. Spent half an hour looking in the wrong 2 spots trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. Then I thought, what if I go closer to the famous landmark and sure enough there it was, but still tool a decent search as it was well disguised. TFTC
This one took us ages. Not because it was a complicated hide, but because we had cache blindness. We knew we must have been in the right place due to the checker and the very appropriateness of GZ but that didn’t give us much help. A bit of work had gone on in the area, and that did make the hide a bit better camouflaged. Got there in the end.
We moved from Cowra to Parkes today via some smaller towns on the way, caching as we went. Hoping the weather will pick up! We had no rain and the sun was certainly shining, but the wind was again cold making it cooler than it actually was.
A variety of hides, and a few puzzles in the 'History of....' series.
Thank you to the local cachers.

The coords I came up with put us 90 metres into a paddock. Not sue if it was public land or not as we found it fully fenced.
Found on a trip around central New South Wales with e.gregory1. Our original plans were to travel through Bourke, Cunamulla and Toowoomba to attend the Dayboro event in Queensland and return via Port Macquarie and central NSW, but a series of events that included road closures due to flooding in southern inland Queensland, a covid outbreak in Brisbane and widespread storm damage and road closures along the north coast of NSW resulted in multiple changes of plans during the trip. As it eventuated our travels took us to central New South Wales, on a route from Broken Hill to Cobar, Nyngan, and Gunnedah from where we meandered southwards through some great scenery and historic towns that included Dunedoo, Wellington, Cowra and Yass. We then headed in a roughly westerly direction through to Temora, Wagga Wagga, Deniliquin and Swan Hill before making a final dash for home. All up we found a good mix of Traditionals, Puzzle Caches, Multicaches, Adventure Labs, Wherigos, Earthcaches, Letterbox Hybrids and Virtual Caches on a very entertaining and enjoyable trip. Thanks for the cache Joshwa27!
Found on a trip around inland NSW with FeatherWaite.
Our original intention was to attend the Mega event at Dayboro in Queensland, travelling up via Broken Hill, Bourke, Cunamulla and Toowoomba, then home via the NSW coast to Port Macquarie then on to Adelaide via central NSW. However, the Covid outbreak in Brisbane forced us to reconsider, particularly given that the Mega and associated events were within the area of concern and we may have had difficulty re-entering NSW to get home and then would have had to quarantine back in SA for 14 days.
The floods in the north and east of NSW also hampered our travel plans. But we were able to develop a new plan that took us on a very pleasant tour around country NSW, picking up some interesting caches along the way.
I have quite enjoyed the opportunity to complete some of the caches in this history series and its nice to see a few mystery caches scattered around the countryside.

A nice stop on our journey across the country from Adelaide to Brisbane with Davidwazza! TFTC!
Moving from Adelaide to Brisbane, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I decided to drive the long distance to make the opportunity a holiday, taking 12 days and passing through Victoria, New South Wales, and then finally arriving in Queensland. We spent the first few days in SA's Riverland, visiting Morgan, Berri and Renmark; and then drove through Mildura in Victoria. In NSW, we stopped at Hay, Parkes, Merriwa, Tamworth, Port Macquarie, and Coffs Harbour, and then entered Qld to stop for a night in Robina in the Gold Coast.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I travelled from Hay to Parkes. We travelled east via Griffith, Yenda, Barellan, Ardlethan, and Temora where we stopped for lunch. We then spent the early afternoon completing the two Adventure Labs around the town and lake, and then headed north and north-east via Barmedman, Forbes, and arriving in Parkes in the late evening. Several of NSW's LGAs were visited during our travels today.
We had worked out this puzzle ahead of time, and required some research to be able to obtain the set of coordinates. The GeoChecker agreed with our numbers that we hadn't made any errors. We ordered dinner in town nearby, but had some time to kill before it was ready, so we set out to find this geocache. A great historical final location, and the cache was found after a few minutes of searching. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Joshwa27 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Found after a long chat with Uncle Ron who told us about all the interesting graves here. Apparently, if you throw 20c onto Ben Hall's grave, it brings good luck. It is also the funding for the local Men's Shed to maintain the grave and fence. This one took a while for us to find but a spidery container was found after a PAF. TFTC.

As a member of TeamOZCAT logged in this cache, I am now logging as an individual predominantly to avoid any mistaken/unnecessary revisitation.
Under groundspeak guidelines, this logging is acceptable as I was indeed at Cache GZ in person in recent times. However, all cache owners have the right to delete logs as they see fit. Usually done to "Armchair loggers" or inappropriate texting.
If any cache Owner/s have questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact.
TeamOZCAT logged finds when both Karen and Reg logged as individuals. This logging is exactly the same, only in reverse. Again, groundspeak acceptable.
For an unspecified period of time TeamOZCAT are no longer cache searching but remain active in our cache management and maintenance.
I sincerely thank all CO's and wish you all the best in your endeavours. Cheers Karen

Fav. Were a whole lotta fun. Many cache owners are already aware: As per Groundspeak guidelines, I am claiming find because physically found under TeamOzcat. I undertake this not for disinterested statistical purposes, but because of inability to revisit this cache, and/or because it's so damn confusing when viewing the local district geocache maps. I sincerely thank all CO's for time and effort in placement of their caches. Cheers Reg.

On a short break and drive with a view of grabbing a few caches to fill in some missing New South Wales and Victorian LGAs along the way. Today as we head back towards home we made a very quick find. With the cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache container and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache Joshwa27.
The following TBs came through for the mileage : Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Mary Hyde's Treasure, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust), Vanlith The Youngling, Hidden Creatures Geocoin TB, teamMerlin's Football, Malta, Nat the Travel Bug, Signal from Pahrump

Researched and solved this and despite the geochecker telling us we were wrong, we came and found easily. Thanks
Went on a road trip for may reason, 90th bday, visit old friends and relos, some of them with bad memory problems, and a cemetery or two to get recent pics of the grandparents and great grandparents. It was a great trip catching up with lots of people we had not seen for many years and have a great party of two. During our round trip we were also able to collect some cache along the way.
This was my family’s home town, the place where I was born. I was able to visit my grandparents and great-grandparent’s as well as many other relatives that have since passed while here. I was also able to go past the vegi patch and home of my pops which is now a massive home and swimming pool, oh dear where has the history gone. We also went past the Lachlan Vintage Village and looked at the Garret which is sitting there rusting away, anther part of history disappearing oh well time does move on.
Anyways onto the cache, the cache was a very quick find, we deployed the crew, found it, tagged it, replaced it, on our way, now logged it.
Thanks Joshwa27 for this cache, Lil Donna

Found during an epic long weekend of quality caching around the Riverina with fitzy_1965. Lots of km's covered including some fun wheeling in the beautiful countryside meant for a thoroughly enjoyable trip
Had this one presolved for the trip and after making our way into GZ, fitzy came up with the find here at this interesting spot.
Thanks for another "History of...", Joshwa27 Getting through them!
