Logs
Found on the 14th of Sept on a very rainy day. We were staying nearby at Banksia Peninsula for the weekend with Gippsland Adventure Therapy. Apologies for the late logs.
After awhile, looking for a needle in a stack of needles ceases to be enjoyable. Lovely area!
Gave up on this one looking for about 10 mins and reading the comments we couldn't see anything obvious.
The second of this series also took a while to find. Despite me checking the location three times, at least, The_EVIL_MUGGLE actually made the find! There were some amazing banksia cones in the vicinity!
Needing a cache tonight headed out to Wattle Point. Being a nice evening decided to walk along the track to the gz. Cache found, log signed.TFTC
TFTC - In the area with HeliKelli and eventually located the cache. My GPS said it was on one side of the track HeliKellis stated the other. Having searched my side thoroughly and about to admit defeat - HeliKelli already heading back to the car, came back to show where her GZ was but she couldnt find the nano - I then said what about this one here? Cache located and signed.
Spent 15-20 mins looking for this one as Kploz GZ was on one side of the track and mine on the other. We resorted to the hint and reading past logs but still couldnt find it. I was just about to retreat back to the car as the mozzies were 50 to 2 (us) when Kploz decided to quickly check my area before we were subjected to a DNF. Being still fairly new to finding nanos in the bush I described to Kploz how these ones are usually hidden..Like this one? he replied?????Hmmmm, still not a fan of nanos in the bush!!!
GPS was spot on, literally. This one pretty quick. Mozzies the size of bats here. Log book has 1/2 dozen spaces left for logs.
To many mozzie, a deer crossed 30m in front of us and started calling it to his family
Nah, another one we couldn't find. We drove along this track up to this point after which I decided to backtrack as I wasn't keen on "pin-striping" the sides of the 'cruiser. Turning the car around was quite a challenge I can assure you!
TFTC. Itsy bitst, teeny weenie. Terrific hide! Still room to write. Jimmytherat with Noelle04
Sneaky! Haven’t seen one of these for awhile. TFTC Found with Jimmytherat on a very enjoyable few days on The Point.
After working up a sweat trying to swat away mozzies, I stupidly removed my jumper. “Fresh meat” I heard the mozzies cry in unison, before they all attacked my bare arms. I was desperate for any clue on how to find this quickly, and found it in the form of a wonderful clear hint in the logs. Once I knew that I was looking for metal, the find was swift. Still almost died from blood loss here though.
Based on the GPS location we spent a lot of time looking on the wrong side of the track. Thanks for the cache. Cute container.
The loop continued, despite our unsuccessful attempt at Wattle Point 2. TFTC.

After looking for quite a while we gave up. The hide was too good for us. A nano in the bush is a bit tricky for our patience. Thanks for the challenge
Beautiful weather for an afternoon walk on our Easter holidays. My daughter and I decided to have a competition to see who could find the most caches on this route, and by the time we reached this one it was 1 - 1 so we were keen for a quick grab. Alas not to be because this one was a toughie! After reading the hint and stepping back for a different view, I was rewarded with a find (and got to laugh at my daughters disappointed face as she tore off ahead of me to find the next one!) TFTC
Running out of time so we thought we would squish in the third cache. This find had us in stitches after we searched high and low and finally found it. Our last cache for this trip due to time. Can’t wait to come back and finish this series. TFTC
The real adventure was getting here! Biked/walked via the beach from Banksia Peninsula. What a Hike! The cache needs a bit of TLC though.
Thanks for the adventure!
Thanks for the adventure!
Took about 20 minutes Gps was slow here so had to walk up the track and back to get good concordats.
Perfect day for it with the Geo kid

So I picked the family activity for today. The muggle family were not impressed. I should have noticed the XS on a number of them as the care factor of traipsing through the bush in the heat of the day was not ideal for the muggle folk. 3 of 6 found. Tftc
Was with O319 when this was hidden, but forgot to log it after somebody else logged a FTF.
Super hard! (Not really!)
Trust your gps on this one folks, and use the hint if req’d
It was still a few hours before dinner, so frmen1 & I headed to Wattle Point. Saw a freshly run over snake on the way. Ran back over it to make sure. It wasn't a little one either! Not so smart smartphone was minimal help. Managed to find after about 5mins once hint loaded. TFTC
Thanks for placing this great little series in the middle of nowhere. Some of them I dispute being easy, but patience and systematic searching paid off. Great looking black-boys trees all around added to a very peaceful search.

Watt'l we find- treasure? was the theme of the walk with our daughter & 2yo granddaughter. With the GPS'r wanting us to look on the wrong side of the track, we were very lucky to find this one at all! No treasure, lucky we did not drop part of it in the sand - nano's in the bush should be banned.
Satellites today had our GZ 6 metres south of where we found the cache.
Thanks O319 for placing these caches.

Unfortunately had to leave feeling defeated. Hopefully will find it another time
Heading off on a weeks holiday in the High Country and an overnight stop in Bairnsdale planned. What better way to kill a few hours, than to grab some of the local caches.
A nice easy find here, so thanks for the placement.

Decided to grab a couple of caches while dog sitting the grandkids dogs at Longford.
You would have thought that a person would have known before going into
this area you would have used some mozzie get off stuff so had to make these caches
move quickly and get out. The Big Black Mozzies won out here.

Decided to do a little geo with jbro75 after a beautiful nights camp on the water at Blonde Bay. Chose this little series - a nice walk around the banksias and black boys.
(This cache still in situ - just a harder type find. If you can't find it...keep looking)

Cache is definitely still there. We spent some time looking for it, and then we read the hint which immediately led us to the cache. Sneaky sneaky!!! TFTC
Can't check on it for awhile, but have made the hint very obvious in the meantime. That might help.
Had a good look but no luck. A tree has fallen down right near GZ. Cache might be under tree??

Family took me out to find these group of caches and with their help we found them TFTC
Today we explored Sale to Paynesville and surrounds using geocaching as a guide and picking up a few on the way and this was one of them. We encountered a variety of hides that kept us on our toes.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

GWD.Aussie, AQAU, SQAU and M&D? were the caching teams behind today finds.
After the disappointment of not finding number 2 we searched high and low for this cache with SQAU making the find just as we were starting to think we couldn't get it
Thanks O319 for taking the time to place these caches

A after work caching run with SQAU, AQAU, and Megs_Q.
After trying to find number 2, with-out any luck, we move on to this cache.
At least me & megs_q has already look in this spot.
We were standing in a group talking, if we should move on, when SQAU spotted it.
This is the 2nd cache of the day.
This is my 1237th cache all up.
Thank you for the hide O319 & Debanian

***FTF*** It took two goes to locate this cache, you need to be in the right spot and looking in the right direction to spot it. Coordinates, as usual, were spot on. Thanks O319 for placing a cache here in such a nice 'original' area of woodland.
