Tftc but didn't open it because I have already see and all most got bit 2 times by snakes today.
#894 beautiful day caching around the region. Found this one on our way home to Ballarat! TFTC
Quick park and grab on the way to Moama. Cache in good condition. Logbook is nearly full (on the last page) but would be plenty of room for people to find a spot to sign.
A quick trip to Bendigo today had me thinking I should do a few caches along the way to stretch the legs.Your drive-by designed hide became one of the hides I searched for this morning. So glad I read the hint, I realised immediately what that meant, and so I was quietly pleased and relieved Id had the hint. The road was very quiet this morning, maybe Mondays and the chilly morning was keeping people at home. Hence the hide was retrieved, signed and replaced and I was on my way again quite quickly. Thankyou claybol for a reason to stretch my legs and collect a smiley at the same time.
Day 10 of my interstate trip. Today I left Mount Franklin Reserve making my way north as far as Greens Lake Reserve near Stanhope. I managed to find 11 caches today and 2 DNF's.An early morning find along the road north.TFTC claybol
On my way towards Ballarat. Not aiming on getting there in a day. Lot's of caches to get.
Haha!! Well played!! It actually had a real life baby come out to play . Nice east find! TFTC!!
Today as we headed out in the PeuGEOt for our weekly day out we sopped to find this cache as it was interesting that it is halfway between the two gold cities of old.
Cache was soon located and I thought its location for the size container it is was great. Gets a heart from us.

This one was very well done. I’m not normally afraid where my hands in holes and I will have to meet will give you a favourite
Took a minute to not be afraid. Great location and good to collect another lga area so quickly - especially in the pouring rain. Tftc
Love it, found while heading to a hike just out of Castlemaine. Awesome spot and cache, a fav from us. TFTC
On the way to Bendigo for the weekend and stopped off for this one on the way past. Having read a few logs, I was expecting something to jump up at me, although not quite what I thought, my wife's eyes did open a little wider. Log was signed, cache replaced and we were back on the road.
Thanks claybol.....cache all good.

A quick find on our way home. After a loud scream and a scared child, the log was signed.

Took me a minute to figure out how to retrieve it, the little creature scared me too much to reach in! Thanks for the cache!
Found on my way home to Bendigo arfter having a BBQ lunch at hepburne Springs for mums birthday. Tftc
We were in the area today and couldn't resist pulling over and grabbing this cache. Plenty of swaps still inside which was a treat for the little bunny. Glad Mrs Bunny wasn't on retrieval duty with this one! TFTC
I was very cautious with this one. Made me laugh at myself - again!! Many thanks
Found! This is a funny one.
I signed the log, did a swap and put it back a bit neater so the camouflage is in place better!

A nice quick find on my way to Castlemain for work this morning. I knew where it was but it took a little while to build up the courage to collect. I'm not going to lie, one it was in the light and insane the container, it did make me jump :p Lovely little hide indeed
Had a very careful inspection before retrieving this one, loved it, thats a fav from me.
Interesting tale of two cities. Didn't get scared and walked away smiling. Thanks claybol
Having just lost a most incredible log that I wrote for this cache, I am so downhearted that this will be a short and sweet one. I found the cache easily enough and discovered that I had the wrong species as cache guardian but was still apprehensive about the removal of the cache! Der!! Get on with it. Once I had retrieved the cache the log was quickly signed and all returned as required. TFTC claybol and all the others that will keep me busy each time I come to visit my sister, TNLPathtag
Find # 9834
Found with Tyred n Cranky
Off for a Sunday drive down Castlemain way. The day turned out to be a great winters day out caching. Perfect temp and sun shining all day long.
The bush tracks we tackled had some eye opening situations but the ol' 2x4 Triton made it to most GZs. The tougher ones we legged it up the hills and along the toughet tracks.
All in all, the targeted caches were all found, some took a little longer to locate than others and we had a lot of fun along the way.
I have a cache back home with a similar item in it, not on it. But still we were a little cautious at first, the light dust on it makes it look real as.

Find No. 3482. Found with FUF009
A day out caching with FUF009, down to Castlemaine area, which turned out to be a perfect sunny winters day.
We cached a lot of bush tracks and luckily we were in FUF009's Triton as I don't think our van would of made it to some of the places we went to. We had a plan on what caches we'd do and managed to find them all. We had a good fun day which we all needed in these Covid times.
Found the tree stump easy enough but not to be afraid of it we thought a bit strange until we looked inside and then realised why. Still we weren't quite so sure as to weather it would move or not so got the cache out very carefully. Reminded us of one of FUF009's caches he has hidden back home.
As we thought this was a really good hide the way it had been done we are giving it a favourite point.

Out for a drive with kenare and kenbryl to Harcourt, to get an old cache. I had the job as navigator today and everything was going well. As I was retrieving the cache from it`s home, the piece of cloth on the top folded back and revealed something that I thought was very much alive... Well, it was lucky that I just dropped the cache, instead of throwing it to the ....house.
Thanks for the fright, and the cache. Cigc

Out with Sean.75 and kenare on our way to Harcourt. THis was the first trad on our journey. It almost didn't happen!! Sean.75 volunteered to jump out for this one. Well, jump he certainly did!! tftc
Sean.75, kenbryl and I threw around a rough plan on f which caches we could potentially find on a day trip up this way. This was the first on the list. But it nearly wasn’t going to be logged due to the cache guardian! Lol. Tftc
TFTC. We needed to get out for a couple of hours. Guildford looks a likely target. A multi and some caches all within a small radius of the village. A short drive from Maryborough and we were in the village.
This was the last remaining cache for us in the Guildford area. Nice hide and camo. Linda was not going to go anywhere near this one.

Having just seen a live version of the real thing a few caches back, I made sure to give a prod with a stick before accsssing this one!
A quick find by the kids (Neisha07 & Boo09) on our way home from a family afternoon in Daylesford.
Glad the kids got to this one first! TFTC claybol.
I was amused to see you were in my home town finding my caches today.

Came to do this one today but realised I had already signed it ages ago with GemmaSistema I believe. Anyway thanks for the hide.
Mr ReganSeeker and I decided to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary in the beautiful Hepburn Springs.
Whilst we did some exploring, we came across some beautiful geocaching areas, which we've only been doing very casually over the last few years.
The drive by cache allowed us to do a quick stop before continuing our drive home, TFTC!

The guardian was doing an excellent job as we did not see any bull ants this am for that we were rather thankful. Thanks for the interesting notes - much appreciated.

Found during a trip to St Arnaud to attend the Mega event.
FeatherWaite, gridge98 and I left Adelaide on the Thursday, taking a circuitous, but scenic route to St Arnaud to pick up a few caches in some other Victorian LGAs. We met up with Freddo and Davidwazza at the event that evening and teamed up to complete a couple more caches that night together before camping out of town.
Over the next three days we cached very solidly in and around St Arnaud, finding a diverse range of Traditional, Multi, Unknown, Virtual, Letterbox, Wherigo and Earthcaches as well as attending all the events associated with the Mega. We also managed to complete all the Lab caches over the weekend. Logbooks were signed D.E.F.F.98 (Davidwazza, e.gregory1, FeatherWaite, Freddo and gridge98).
On the Sunday afternoon, after the final GIFF event, FeatherWaite and I began making our way back to Adelaide, picking up a couple of caches before camping in the Little Desert NP. The following day we continued towards home with a side visit to Mount Rescue to pick up a few caches along the tracks there.
Thanks to all the cache owners for placing and maintaining the caches. They included a huge variety of containers, hides and puzzles, many of which were very clever and/or amusing and had obviously taken considerable time and effort to construct. Thanks also to all those who organised the Mega and the associated events. I’ll be looking forward to the Mega at Millicent in South Australia next Easter!

Found as part of our trip to the St Arnaud Mega event with e.gregory1 and gridge98. We travelled a long and circuitous route via Bordertown, Nhil and Warracknabeal to find caches in 5 additional Victorian LGAs that I had yet to visit (namely Buloke, Loddon, [Greater Bendigo - I’d previously visited], Mt Alexander, Hepburn and Central Goldfields). Thanks for the cache claybol!
A quick stop here for this cache, cache was in the first place I looked
What a big trip this was! I headed over to St Arnaud for the 2019 Victorian mega with e.gregory1, Davidwazza, Featherwaite and Freddo for the long weekend.
The weekend was filled with a lot of finds ranging in puzzles, a few events and some very well constructed hides around the area.
Day 1: I headed over with e.gregory1 and featherwaite, with the aim to collect some unfound LGAs for the guys, with only a 500km drive to the mega from home we added an extra 450km to the trip by going over to Bendigo and further south exploring some regional towns, overall we added an extra 6 LGAs with only 18 finds for the day. Was great to see some of the interesting little towns and what they had to offer for future visits.
Day 2: As a group we hit the trails in St Arnaud as a group signing the logbooks as DEFF98 (Davidwazza, e.gregory1, Freddo, featherwaite and gridge98) to save a lot of room in the logbook. We started off with the geoart Stars and thought it would take most of the day, as we finished it in 2.5 hours we were a bit surprised so hit the well constructed caches in the south of the town in the bush throwing a CITO in the mix. All the caches were amazing and something you don’t see anywhere else. Adding in 15 FTFs along the way with: everlasting, crank1 and Pwola. The evening settled in and we headed into town for a buffet dinner and a catch up with some familiar faces.
Day 3:
After attending the GV2020 event for the morning we set off to hit the last of the trails left in town of the metal containers, followed by the challenges for the mega as well as quite a few trads around the back roads. We ended the day by having a go at the lab caches at the mega then off to the CITO. I don't think I have ever seen so mant people at a tip before. Topped off the day with an evening event.
Day 4: By today the town was almost cleaned out and only a few caches to find, so we did the last few caches within a rough 15km radius driving around finding the odd cache here and there. The GIFF was finished off the mega so we decided to head to Horsham for the evening.
Day 5: After leaving our camp site for the morning, we cached for the morning around Horsham collecting a few grads and a well earned swim. Then made the long drive back home to Adelaide.
Thanks to all the COs for their cache placements and the Geocaching Victoria crew for organising a fantastic weekend away.

Dropped by here on my regular trip to Ballarat and re-attached the cache guardian. All good to go!
We've had a morning caching a bit south-east of this one, and we were headed back to Hepburn Springs after lunch at Guildford. Spotted this one on the map, nice and close to the main road. Good coords meant we were soon at gz, and of course geowife looked first. Some hesitation, even though we own caches with what I call guardians. So I looked, and to my shame I resorted to a nearby stick to check. This one was very convincing, very. And, what's more, a systema of a size and shape that I have never seen used before. Container, log and guardian are all in excellent condition. A fav point. Thanks for an enjoyable experience.
Awesome cache, was like 90% confident it was safe to grab haha. Than you. Found with the hounds.
On our way home to Ballarat from Bendigo we thought we would do some caches. Beautiful area thank you for bringing is to the area TFTC I was scared
Found It.........On a return trip from the silo trail we pulled over to get this one. After removing the natural camo and reaching in to retrieve the container i spotted something and for a split second i thought the worst but on closer inspection it was deemed to be safe. So with the container extracted and the log signed we continued our journey homeward. Thanks claybol for the cache
Super glad that that particular creature doesn’t scare me... luckily I haven’t come across a chicken cache guardian cos I wouldn’t be going near that! Tftc
Mediconfire and I decided to drive from Daylesford to Bendigo as we had a day free during our week long adventure in rural Victoria. Along the road, I picked out this cache to do. We pulled up and found the cache. Signed, sealed and placed back. Thank you for the simple find along this excellent road!
On the long drive back to Ocean Grove from Bendigo I needed to break things up, so a bit of caching was in order. I have family connections to both Ballarat and Bendigo so am also familiar with both parts of the state and enjoy visiting them. Thanks for the cache claybol.
Found it, the last smiley for the day and our road trip to NSW and back for Christmas, a nice place to hide a cache. TFTC
A great spot for a cache and a great reason to place it here. Thanks for sharing your story. Appreciated the easy access and parking big enough for a caravan in tow TFTC
Oh my giddy aunt!!!! You got me good. Just had one little 8 year old son with me on this occasion, returning from Hip Hop in Castlemaine. He immediately spotted the cache, I reached in and grabbed hold of the material and got the fright of my life. I soon realised my mistake, but still could not bring myself to reach in again for quite some time, as I gazed into the darkness for any sign of movement. Eventually I steeled myself for retrieval and claimed a lovely Vic rock for my swap. Thanks for the hairy cache. Happy 150 to us!
On our way from Bendigo to Ballaratand collecting a few caches on the way before attending an event. Surprised with the guardian but all good with the cache. Thanks claybol.
Leaving Bendigo to travel Ballarat for a few days. On the way we stopped to find this cache. Arrived at GZ and started looking. Found quickly. Interesting cache setup. TFTC claybol

Day 1 of my latest road trip. 5 days around new regions in VIC and 1 day/night in SA.
Fantastic weather - blue skies and it finally warmed up around midday.
21 finds today including 1 EC and 1 Wherigo.
#12 - Halfway to Bendigo but I won't get there until Saturday! First I gotta hit Ballarat, Naracoorte, Swan Hill, Horsham and St Arnaud.
A quick find here. A cautious look in before reaching down to make sure it was safe
Thanks claybol

Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, an d if she had to die
Tryin' she had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' in the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night

Found with muggles hubby today, caching is not a joy for him we liked this cache though. Many thanks for the cache
I woke up and saw that a new cache had already been published
Hang on, I'm getting a decided case of deja vu here [?] This can't be right as I was only there doing a multi 3 days ago[?]
This one was a much harder decision though as I'd already spent my already borrowed fuel money 3 days ago but since it's now a new month.... well suffice to say I borrowed MORE fuel money Rex and I went out for a drive [^]
My multi cache blues are sadly still alive and well as it took me about 3 workings out to get a decent looking GZ at the 1st cache of the day
After getting the 1st cache find at 10.38am (FTF too ) we then cached on until the last cache find at 10.43pm and arrived home at midnight after finding 10 caches for the day [^] No idea who was the most tired [|)]: Rex or me[?]

With the weather cold, wet and blustery we decided to head further north to cache hoping to avoid the rain. After picking up DAB from his cozy abode, armed with rain jackets and hats we ventured to Daylesford and beyond in search of Tupperware containers in the bush
Well we guessed what might be at play here so DAB and I left the extraction to Chris but alas no reaction was to be had.
Thanks claybol for the fun

While enjoying my lovely warm house, I received a message from The_Tritonz. "What are ya up to ?? Do you want to grab some caches ?? Hmmm... I'll have a look out the window, grey clouds and strong winds. I'll just check the weather online, freezing cold, with a high chance of rain. With all of those things considered.... I said YES !! [B)] [B)] So a quick bag pack and we were soon off. We did have brief periods of sunshine, but the majority of the day was cold, windy and wet.
It didn't dampen our spirits though, we still found a good mix of hides. All in all, another enjoyable day exploring our great countryside.
With Chris making the retrieval here, I was hoping for a reaction. But it was not to be, as he loved this sort of "surprise ". TFTC claybol
