I was in Blenheim for work and on the way back after a drop off at the airport had only some time for a few caches, so I looked up which ones and this was the first.Very cool. Took a moment as I tried to unscrew parts which didn't work. Just after signing the log (pieces of paper) and trying to put it all in again a car pulled up. How not to look suspicious here? But they moved on once the gate opened and I was able to put it all back together. Thanks DOC

#14,665. I am over in Marlborough for a few days of geocaching after a work trip. Picking up multis is my main mission this trip as I am now aware there might be some challenges out there that require quite a stack to be found within one month. Getting on in the day now so time to check out Renwick. I parked and waited for a car to leave then went to look for the cache. Found something very unusual hidden in plain sight. Guessed what it was but how to enter. After twirling a few parts I made the right action to reveal the inner cache. What a great idea for a cache container. Signed the logsheet and replaced as found. Thanks docpicton for hiding it here. Favourite from me.

This was my last find today and the main reason for my outing as I managed to drop off three TBs.I could see the hide from my car so once I remembered how these work it was a very quick find.T F T C docpicton.I wanted to drop off a couple of TBs so I found a good sized cache in Renwick and a couple of other caches to grab while out. A quick find, as intended I am assuming. Not much later GAR worked out how to get to the log. Very cool all around and deserving of an FP from us too. We are driving a bit today and do not have time to stop at all caches, unfortunately, so are picking ones the geocaching app has a number of FPs on. So far these are proving to be a bit beyond the usual which is nice. Thanks so much for putting this cache together docpicton - awesome work!

23-Feb-21
Happened to be nearby for a non-cachng reason and thought to pop around the corner to see if we could find this one. Parked up and wandered about and at first we were a bit confused as to where a cache might be, and a bit nervous the DOC worker might give us a hard time.

However knowing that it was a DOC hide we decided to keep going on the basis that it was pretty unlikely they'd want us crashing about in the garden and that proved to be correct, the cache requires no going into any garden at all.

Mrs Tuolei tried first to no avail and then I failed too. But the two us, ah, there's the charm and the log was retrieved from the interesting container. Great idea for a cache, have never seen one like this before. Thanks to the DOC team for putting this out and maintaining, much appreciated.

Spacenarwhale and I enjoyed a lovely walk along the paths, then were surprised to find the cache container so noticeable on the walk back to the car. We returned to the path to (unnecessarily) open it, signed the log and returned it as found as the DOC workers were returning to their cars.
Thank you for the cache.
