Thanks to everyone for attending, it was a great way to spend Australia Day

Great event. The new lagoon is great and we spent a bit of time over there before heading home.
Had a chat, had a snack and found some nearby caches in some group raids.
Thanks for organising the event Gaz'n'kab. Cheers!!!

Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
I can't believe I forgot to log our attendance at this event. I was sorting some papers I felt sure we did go and could remember at least one cache we did on the day. There was just this tiny uncertainty about it. I took to a few of the logs and lo and behold found ourselves in a photo that was taken there that day. Phew! So now I can legitimately log our attendance. Thanks for a fabulous day. I do remember it well. I just doubted myself. Cheers Gaz'n'Kab. [^][^]
Captain Terror and I attended this event after a wonderful week in Sydney. We arrived back in Brisbane late last night, headed to this event today and then tonight we start moving my stuff into my new house. What a whirlwind!
We almost got a little bit lost on the way to the event somehow but we found our way eventually and were soon joining in on the festivities. Thanks for the event Gaz'n'Kab

What should we do on our day off? A caching event of course!
I headed part of the way to the event, in not really the right direction but towards where Captain Terror and Net88 were so that we could go to this event together.
We arrived and found that we were not the first ones there, I know I never am, so we were able to jump right into it (after we set our stuff up of course) and join in on the conversations that were already happening.
Awesome event, had some food and drinks (thanks to the "QLD Mega") and caught up with some people that I hadn't seen for a while. TFTE!

What else does a geocacher do on just such a public holiday? Why not head down for another Gaz'n'Kab Meet'n'Greet? I have such fond memories of the very first one in 2011.
As it turned out, I had several other things on during the day and wound up arriving a wee bit late with Net88 and Sezzz. Of course I got lost getting from the car to the event! It was magnificent of the organisers to ask **[AllThingsGeo](http://stores.ebay.com.au/allthingsgeo)** to hold a stall and as usual, a few prizes were donated.
Australia is famous for it's blue skies and hot days - so of course on Australia Day it was humid, overcast and featuring scattered showers. Alas, such things didn't seem to bother most folk. I must congratulate the preparation for the event with drinks and food and the many prizes handed out for the various contests.
I wound up staying a lot after the advertised time with a crowd of great folks although I did eventually have to leave to be at another meeting in the evening. A good time was definitely had. Thanks for the event, Gaz'n'Kab

Our 9240th overall find.
I was in town for work over this period and thought that we might be able to bring the family along but it wasn't to be. Instead I just headed down after dropping them at the airport. It was great to catch up with some familiar faces as always and we ended up staying way longer than the published time.
Thanks to Gaz'n'Kab for the event.

Thanks to Gaz'n'Kab for the event.
I had to pull the reviewer hat on for a few questions at the event today. It was good to see people asking questions.
Thanks Gaz'n'Kab for hosting the event

Despite the rain, there was a good turnout for the celebrations for Australia Day, and not just amongst the geocaching community - the park was very popular today! We arrived early, said hellos and consumed some treats before heading off to pick up a couple of nearby caches. We managed to stay dry during our wanders but missed out on the traditional Australia Day snag [;(]. The company more than made up for it, though, and a good time was had by all. TFTE, Gaz'n'Kab! =^.^=
Hard to say no to an event close to home, especially when you can catch up with so many new people and old friends. A shower or two did not deter the crowd and a good time was enjoyed by all. TFTE
I'm excited about that fooooooooooooooodddd! !!! Oh and uh caching haha of course
I'm here and with the new baby Ivy (non-trackable ATM) so hot but still a big turn out on Australia Day. Great event tftE
Fantastic event!!! We had so much fun and laughs, the best group of people to spend the day with. A perfect Australia day! Thanks so much for the activities and the food and drinks and hilarious stories!
Another great event held by Gaz'n'Kab.
Always good to catch up with friends and meet new geocachers.
Thanks for the event.

Thanks for a great event, was good to catch up with people, eat some food and drink some drinks. Great location too. TFTE
This park is apparently THE place to be on Australia Day, talk about busy. After finding a parking spot I followed the trusty Garmin and located a likely looking group of suspicious caching types. Great to catch up with folks I'd not seen for a while. Thanks for the event Gaz n Kab
Took us a while to find the group because it said orion lagoon so we were looking around the lagoon. Once we found everyone it was a great event
Such a good day for an event at Robelle.
Also a great event and atmosphere to get back into the game with, after quite some time.
Thanks!

Thanks!
In the no rare company of Silver Sovereign, we managed to avoid the rain both on arrival and departure. We were also most grateful for the shelters at GZ for the short duration when the heavens opened... [^]
I had scrolled through the will attends prior to heading over and figured I knew about 85% of the hunters on the list. That was not the case when we lobbed and as more arrived. With each event now comes a whole raft of new faces...
SS and I did the rounds, chatted with a few, enjoyed a soft drink but left the snags for the hungry hoards. The events in this park always seem to be well attended and this was no different. It even dragged the Wombat from its den...
Thanks for hosting Gaz'nKab and a courtesy thank you to Catscatscats22 who I am sure helped in much of the set up and pack up.
Cheers Guys, see you at the next one. [^]

Time was tight, baby sitting duties called so I arrived early. There were folk there already, shelter was up and slowly they arrived, the old and the new. Lots of chatting as usual and some damn nice cakes. Had to leave before the snags were done but an enjoyable morning was had. Thanks to the organisers.
Arrived early and watched the young ones finish installing the shade. We arrived in the general vicinity of GZ and drove around till we found a car park space close. All the parking spots close to the water were gone. 300 meter from car park to GZ. Not a bad walk through the park as we had not been h ere before. A lot of families here already and it was only 0930. Lots of familiar faces and some new ones as well. Thank you for the organisation and the fun game at the end. Did some caches close to the event site with some others keen to explore and enjoyed the conversation and the food. TFTE Gaz'nKab
Thanks for organising the event Gaz'n'Kab. The afternoon rain didn't help, but it was still good catching up with others.
A bit of a journey to the darkside for this fairy but well worth the effort Lots of friends to catch up with, and caches to find, and some fun stuff to do. TFTE, Gaz'n'Kab.
Lots of roadways and parking areas here but also lots of cars. I pulled into a parking space to look at the map and I was 278 metres from the event. Given the popularity of this place I figured this was probably as good as it was going to get for parking.
After walking quite a bit more than 278 metres ('cos I'm not a crow ) I spied a bunch of people that looked pretty close to ground zero. As I got closer I saw a familiar blue shirt - gotta love mega shirts - and knew I'd found the right group of people.
Lots of familiar faces here today but also lots of unfamiliar faces. Great to see new people finding our awesome o?b?s?e?s?s?i?o?n? hobby.
I found a few caches, ate some lamingtons and fruit salad and did lots of chatting.
Thanks for a fun Australia Day event Gaz'n'Kab.

parked on the lagoon side so after a bit of confusion managed to find the group over the other side; plenty of people and did a few caches, endures a bit of rain, unfortunately a number of us missed lunch so had to survive on drinks and a few snacks; however an enjoyable day and a chance to meet some new people
It was a great day catching up with everyone, and a huge thanks to everyone for attending

Another great Gaz'n'Kab event! Thanks for the time and effort put into it. Thanks to QLD Mega, the prizes and giveaways, and the entertainment of the thing throwing and costume competitions. As usual some geocaches found, friends to chat with, and I don;t think those showers at the end spoilt anything much.
What better reason to hold an Event than to celebrate Australia Day?
I rocked up relatively early to help set up. We were soon joined by other good folks. A spectacular turnout soon descended upon us. Lots of new faces. Lots of familiar ones. All happy. I managed to catch up with some folks I hadn't seen in years.
The food was fantastic (yay for catscatscats22 for her green and gold cupcakes). Gaz did a good job on the BBQ. Congratulations to those who won prizes during the day.
It rained a tadly - but no one let that dampen their spirits. Another memorable and successful BBQ Meet'n'Greet. TFTE Gaz'n'Kab

Having just completed 14 local caches it was mentioned there was an event nearby.
Not having planned to spend extra time in the area, but having finished our intended caching run early, I decided to call in at the Event to say a quick 'Hi' & have a few words with two of the COs of the caches recently found.
Unfortunately I couldn't stay for the remaining festivities.

A very popular place to be today. Always good to catch up as well as meet new faces. Thanks guys.
# 1270 - Finally time to log my 'attended' and before I forget I've been. Had no plans until the day before, but what better place to go to on Australia day. Glad I joined you all on a great day. Not many caches found, but that happens when you don't search! Thanks for your company and the great food. The cupcakes 'looked' great (can say 'tasted' coz I don't eat sweets).
Thanks for a great day Gaz'n'Kab

After a busy start to my Australia Day, I rocked up here fashionably late, but managed to score some bread crusts. And a stack of hello-hugs from my favourite peoples. Had a lovely time chatting to those there, and into the evening.
Thanks for holding this event, Gaz'n'Kab. A fantastic time was had.

Plan on coming back down from Toowoomba, last day of holidays. Will see what the weather decides in the morning.
Sorry we can't make the event but we're away in NSW. We'll be thinking of you all, have fun!
The Black Flag Crew will be there, what a great way to celebrate Australia Day.
I thought I had already given our intention to attend. We'd love to come. Thanks Gz'n'Kab
For those coming by train and are not familiar with the area, there are two stations at Springfield, 'Springfield' and Springfield Central'. Make sure you go to Springfield Central. From there its a short walk across the road, through the shopping centre to the water park. The first Springfield station is quite a long way out.
Every possibility that Bristracker will find her way, barring motoring mishaps, to the Event because she gets her licence back 2 days earlier. Yippee!
Now I have a lot of time on my hands Chris and I will definitely be there. Looking forward to it.
I will certainly be there to make it three from three attended.
AllThingsGeo Will also be there to give away a few prizes and have the full range on sale!

Despite being such a long way from home (several minutes in heavy traffic!!!) I'll make every effort to be there
