A new cache container is under construction at the moment and will be up as soon as I can get away from work.
It should be ready in the next week.

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache.

If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 45 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

A long weekend brings with it a weekend of camping and caching. fitzy_1965 and I decided to do a loop from Goulburn out to Naranderra, Griffith, Condoblin and back home so I could pick up the last few counties out that way.

Unfortunately, I didn't have much luck in finding caches whilst in Leeton. No luck here today and again fitzy can confirm it has gone. Base appears to be new.

I woke up this morning with the smell of smoke from the bush fires. When I went for a look outside, it a dark orange colour and I could barely see the end of the road. With this knowledge, I quickly got my Geo-bag and hopped in the car and drove off in the direction to Leeton. I chose to find the caches around Leeton and Yanco today as there were two FTF’s up for grabs. Also this will also be my first time in Leeton since the 2013 Riverina Swimming Carnival, so I’ll get to see some of the changes around the area. I saw the caches pop up about a week ago and was very surprised that they were still unfound. When I arrived in Leeton, it was a very light layer of smoke and it stayed that way until the last cache I found in Yanco then it started, slowly getting thick but I still had 4 caches planned… so I said ‘screw it, I’ll go get them’! Big Grin After finding these caches I drove home in the now quite thick smoke arriving home which was still the same as when I left. I enjoyed my day out, the places I visited and all the caches I found. TB visit on all found caches and on some of the smaller logsheets I signed as 5/1 JM. I would like to thank all the CO’s of the caches I found, for allowing them to bring enjoyment to me and the rest of the caching community. Big Grin TFTC’s Big Grin
Today’s totals:
Big Grin 19 Finds (17 GC and 2 GCA)

This one could only be in one spot and this lead to a quick find. I hope this one lasts. TFTC

We were up in sunny Leeton for a family Christmas do at my sisters place, and as we were staying a who,e 300m away from this one, how could we not grab it!
So here we are, a bit dusty from the night before, but not going too bad considering....and dad went solo for the quick find and sign while the ladies made sure the car air con stayed working.

On a short break and drive with a view of grabbing a few caches to fill in some missing New South Wales and Victorian LGAs along the way. Today as we head back towards home we stopped off for a hunt for this little blighter. Took a bit but we found it, with the cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. The cache container is in good condition, but need a new logsheet. Thanks for the cache TheScoutWizard and dragonxpup.

18,538. Found during a meander west of Wagga with specimenX.

Day 2 of our trip trying to go for crossing off previous DNFs and for harder/longer to get caches deep in forests and reserves. Bonus urban cache. This was a pretty quick find thanks to the eagle eyes/fingers of specimenX. Having spent most of my life living in Canberra its great to find these other gems where the Griffins were involved.

Day 2 of KmanNZ NSW/VIC Summer Roadtrip 2018. Tocumwal to Wagga Wagga via Griffith. Hot as hell, glad to have air con. Goal is to reach 1000 finds for this calendar year.

***NO CLUES OR HINTS IN THE FOLLOWING TEXT***

Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
I’m currently working on a Project-GC challenge to get the average word count on my logs over 200 words.
So please ignore the rest of this log as it is just nonsense and song lyrics.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, and if she had to die
Tryin' she, had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
Well, It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could hear the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' on the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful, when
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
Well I'm a-runnin' down the road try'n to loosen my load
I've got seven women on my mind
Four that want to own me, two that want to stone me
One says she's a friend of mine
Take it easy, take it easy
Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy
Lighten up while you still can
Don't even try to understand
Just find a place to make your stand, and take it easy
Well, I'm a standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona
Such a fine sight to see
It's a girl, my Lord, in a flat-bed Ford
Slowin' down to take a look at me
Come on, baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me
We may lose and we may win, though we will never be here again
So open up I'm climbin' in, so take it easy
Well, I'm a runnin' down the road tryin' to loosen my load
Got a world of trouble on my mind
Lookin' for a lover who won't blow my cover, she's so hard to find
Take it easy, take it easy
Don't let the sound of your own wheels make you crazy
Come on baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me
Oh, we got it easy
We oughta take it easy

Here for a one day business trip. Early start with a quick walk into town. Read the hint and found obvious place to start but not where you traditionally find these caches.

Was a little panic moment where I thought I might struggle to find the cache and then.....oooooo you sneaky little thing.

Second cache in Leeton!!

Better head back to motel in case my work collegue who thinks I am mad actually confirms his theory because I am late due to coaching.

The water towers are certainly unique Big Grin
No plain olde water tower for our Walter !!
It had to be embellished with a frieze [^]
Nice to see that the third tower designers kept the theme going Smile

The towers perfectly compliment the view back down the hill towards the ROXY [^]

This cache took a while to show itself Red Face
It certainly blends in well Razz

We stopped on the roads where suitable to pull over with a caravan on, to find a cache.
We have now set up camp at The Showgrounds, quiet a few campers here. This can make it to frustrating. Only took a short stop at each cach as wanted to return to the aircondition in the car.
I had family in Leeton so we did the day trip over. Mostly micro & nano caches in town.

Found at 12:13 PM GAFF3.
OK - now heading out of town a bit and the parking is somewhat easier. Looking at the towers, we wondered how hard would it be to "design" them? They are just big silo type structures with X's around the top rim aren't they Razz They are also an indication of how the town grew over 40 years.
Took a while to locate this cache as the GPSr just would not indicate any particular spot. So around and around we went until finally we looked in a spot about 8 metres from GZ where we thought such an item would be hidden. I had looked there before, but wasn't expecting such a sneaky hide [B)]
Thanks TheScoutWizard.
