Doing a few caches to celebrate a successful SCYO audition - long grass on the way in but found the cache exactly where we thought. TFTC
After attending a nearby event we thought it would be wise to grab some caches before we leave, plus we also need 555 caches within the Sunny Coast region for a challenge were slowly chipping away at.We parked the car at the end of the road and wandered on over. It didnt take us long to locate the obvious target in the distance so we cautiously made our way over and after a brief search we had the cache in hand. Thanks for bringing us here.#4447 - TFTC
Yes, you don't have to jump the fence. However, the cache is behind the fence. Cryptic, I know, but go explore, and you will be rewarded. Room for swaps.
Whoop whoop missed it first time but muggle hubby helped me and he's the keeper today
.Plenty of carcases around but if you suffer from Arachnophobia its important to find a suitable TOTT Thanks electro_man
Found with mezza74.Visiting family in the Sunshine Coast had a list of solved caches and caches that assist with challenges I am working on.Thanks electro man.
Today we visited the Sunny Coast to clean up some more caches.
This cache was in good condition.

smallwombat I found your cache Carcass on 20/4/2022, 2:25 pm. This is my find 3394 and find # 12 today. A quick and easy bush bash and a quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
A planned weekend trip up to the sunshine coast to grab a few caches. I still need a few more to get me closer to that sunshine coast challenge. The trip worked in well for the Sunday morning CITO event in Coolum.
I meet up with Esmiley and we spent Saturday, day and night, caching areas that neither of us had been to before. We were not certain if the recent rains and floods would have effected any of the caches but we gave it a shot.
We first of hit the Sippy Downs area and we had some fun. Many of the caches here took much longer than they should have; we spent way too much time trying to find simple caches. We then moved around the area and then towards the north, working our way to Coolum. However, time ran out and we had to stop for the day. It seemed as though the day was getting hotter as it went on and got even worse during the night.
Thanks to all the CO’s for the caches, some I kept notes on, some were just great caches and some I really do not understand why. We signed all logs with both names and replaced as we found them.

With words of encouragement called from the car I set off to find the cache… thankfully it wasn’t long before I was out of earshot…

Found with Peppa on this lovely rainy day. I may or may not have yelled instructions to Peppa from the car on this one . Bit too precious to venture out in the rain
Up the Sunshine Coast on what was forecast as a full on rain event day. Seems this area didn't get the memo today. After a fun filled morning riding our fat bikes from Coolum to Sunshine Beach I decided to drop in an clear a few caches in this area fro the afternoon.

Up on the Sunshine Coast grabbing a few caches with Selva Girls and CuriousQuest. We pick up 22 caches for the day. We had lots of fun today. Sorry for the generic post. TFTC. *3820* Finds
Out for a day of caching with Brislions and Mr CuriousQuest. Once we found our way into the area, we soon arrived at GZ. There, the cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
Grabbed a park in the deserted parking lot and made my way across the street. A quick hop over the fence and the pointer lead me straight to the final resting place. Thanks electro_man, interesting little reserve.
9:51:00 AM. Our first cache of the year and nice and close to home. It's handy to have kept a few local ones for a day like this. A short walk in on a well used trail. We wonder where it leads. Cache found and log signed. Took TB to move on. Thanks for the cache electro_man
Found nice and easy. All good with this cache. Also found a kangaroo jawbone at GZ. Left the TB 'Treasure Chest' for the next cacher. TYFTC.
30/10/19 1:32 pm Find #2798
Out for Wacky Wednesday with NyssaFlutterby today, and I was determined we would get at least one find for her (she had been concentrating on particular finds for me today).
So a check of the map revealed this cache, which she thought I already had. A short detour and we were soon parking the car and heading in, reading up about the cache as we went.
A quick find in the likely spot at GZ, then comments may have been made about us not becoming the next statistics on here today as the bush land seemed to want to trap us.
Thanks for the cache electro_man.

Out chasing smileys on the Sunny Coast with 1MinnieMoo. Seeing as I hadn't actually signed a log yet today 1MM made sure our next stop was one I hadn't found already.
So looking at the map this was the closest to our location. Rightio, lets go hunt a carcass!
We made our way to GZ and found remains of some sort... not much left. Then the plastic beasty was found, the one we really wanted to find. Our scribble was left and container replaced back in its hidey hole.
Thanks for the cache electro_man

SP had a previous find on this one, but revisited today so that OC could also claim a smiley. The carcass wasn’t in quite the same condition as it was when I found it, but it was still in its great location.
Spent the day up the coast, out and about with Slow Puncture grabbing a bunch of solved new puzzles, and other caches along the way.
A short wander from where we parked and this cache was soon in hand.

Log signed at 11:22 and cache returned as found. Thanks for the smilie **electro_man**. This log is trackable, mention where you saw it.

After a DNF it was nice to get onboard with a find. We found ourselves in the area because we came for a cache around the university but forgot it wasn’t a public holiday all over the place and there are actually people attending this institution. In fact the area is busier than a herd of teenagers surrounding a free WiFi hotspot.
In fact most teenagers probably don’t need free WiFi because they can easily find free WiFi in their parents wallets. Those flat modems made by Visa and MaterCard work a treat.
We emerged out of peak hour to find this little patch of undisturbed bush. Clearly the guy driving the tractor had a sickie the day it was due to be cleared. A nice quick find had us on the board for the morning. tftc

Friday. I can’t believe I was actually right across the road from this cache about a month ago and didn’t stop to see if there any caches in the area! Doh!! Well, remedied that today and found this cache in short order. I had parked my car right nearby, but thought maybe I’d better move it (not sure why), but then though I can’t park here, so parked right up the road. I think I spent more time parking the geomobile than I did looking for the cache! What a nice spot to place a cache container in! Found, signed and replaced. I should have left a TB, as there was enough space, but I hadn’t brought them with me which was a shame. It looks like this is a cache that gets found quite a bit. I thought I needed one more of this type of cache and that this one would make the last one we needed to finally finish off the challenge cache we’ve been slowly getting around to achieving. Turns out we didn’t need to grab this cache, but didn’t realise it until later. Glad we got this one though as it is a fun cache!
This was the 7th of 9 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***electro_man***, for showing us this place.

Out caching with johnwillems and this was our first find of the day. Took a photo with the cache namesake certainly an interesting sight TFTC
It is quite amazing that there is a little piece of bushland like this in the midst of surburbia.
The cache was found and the log signed and returned to the cache and the cache replaced exactly as found.
All is good with this cache.
Find #1276.
Care required when returning to your vehicle. All the tracks look the same. I needed to go to my bread crumb trail on the GPS to head back the correct way.

After we finished our hot lunch that had gone cold lol we were on the way to this one and we were surprised and amused and the gz surrounds. Mrs Wombles says we found a carcass at Carcass. Hahahah it was actually very funny one of those times when you just had to be there. It did have us wondering in circles a little but then we just thought where would we hide it and bingo got it!! TFTC
Hilarious, who expected to actually find a carcass at a cache named Carcass??
Luckily this carcass was way past the smelly stage and into the Ooohh interesting stage.
After examining the carcass, we located the carcass e were actually here for.

Today, IolantheK and myself, have planned a BIG day geocaching around the Sunshine Coast finding LOTS of them.
We had our first find around 6:30 am and our last find was about 6:00 pm with approximately 50 finds.
With both of us having cached around here before we sometimes had the case of this cache is for me and that cache is for you.
A bit of a search here before spotting the cache.
Thanks for the cache.

Wasn't sure whether there might be some surprises in this carcass but fortunately only the cache. Picked this up on a morning around the Ballinger road area. Took a pirate ball and left a dinosaur. TFTC electro_man.
Grabbed this cache in the Buderim area that I have been meaning to get to but just never seem to be just driving past, a quick park, a short stroll and the cache was located .

Geoson's muggle friend had been out caching with us previously and thoroughly enjoyed himself so we decided to take them out again to give them something to do.
We arrived at GZ and pointed out the Kangaroo Poo which spinna thought would be hilarious to throw at the kids..... ewwww gross. We then located the cache and signed the log.

Whilst I was not expecting a furry carcass I did have a different carcass in mind. Not too hard a find here.
After a bite to eat back on the trail. You can’t miss the “dead body”, it just takes a little while to locate the cache.

Took the kids for a ride to collect some local caches and work off some easter chocolate eggs!
Upon arrival we looked for the best access point and parked the bikes there and hopped over the fence to GZ. We were looking in the wrong area to begin with and the kids spread out a bit and one called out,'can you looking there for me Dad'. I get the all the good jobs!
Retrieved treasure and quickly signed the log.Kids did some swaps.....Thanks for the adventure electro_man!

Went riding this morning in this area which I really enjoyed. Great weather, no one around and best of all a cache nearby. As soon as I left the beaten track the GPS was no good to me. Luckily I looked in the likely spots and soon had the cache in hand. Took nothing and left a swap. TFTC electro man
I had just finished work and noticed that I required a geocache for my 'Dates Found' grid. I quickly thought about a cache that I could grab. I remembered that this cache was over near Sippy Downs and thought that it would be perfect.
I headed off in the direction of Sippy and was glad to see that the rain had stopped, almost as though it had stopped just for me. This occurrence is generally the opposite and whenever I head out it BUCKETS down. But, today I got lucky.
Not before long, I was parking about 25mtrs from GZ. I jumped out of the car and made my way over to GZ. Whilst on my little walk I was greeted by two ducks (photo attached) that were just loving the weather.
Soon I was heading into where I needed to be. With the weather, my accuracy was off by about 8mtrs. But, remember the Geocacher always knows better than the GPS. So after looking for about 5mins, I checked the phone... 'Darn it, why do I always think I know better!' I thought, whilst the GPS was telling me that I was still 10mtrs away.
After relocating to where I was told to be, I soon quickly made the find. I looked over the cache and whilst doing so added my name to the book of Geocachers before me. Then everything was placed back home, safe and sound.
I then made my way back out, which was much easier this time as I had already copped all of the wet spiderwebs in the face on the way in! Once getting back to the road I looked down to check my pants and all of the wet vegetation had rubbed all up against them and now to, my pants were just as wet as the surrounding area... But hey, it's all for the cache!!!!
Thanks for the cache electro_man. Despite all of this current weather, the cache and GZ is in perfect order.

We tried this one last week but didn't have good footwear on. Also it turns out our GPS had us 20m away from where it pointed to this time - so we made a nice quick find this time. We took the two TB's and signed the log. TFTC
