Thanks to SpikeyMikey for replacing this cache at the recent mega-event. I have never received such an influx of find-its before! All good to go.
Found with Gazkersh, littlemisslonglegs and some other geo friends while attending the nearby MEGA
While over from Tassie to attend the Gong OzGeo Muster 2019 myself and Goose of GooseandEgg we managed to polish off few series and grab some other random caches in our five days on the big island.
We flew out on Thursday night and arrived back in the apple isle late on Tuesday night, thanks for all the caches.
We normally try and get some old caches or D/T's we are missing but this time it was more about a couple of series and catching up with a few fellow cachers.

The very last morning of the event before heading home, and my last drive down this road. I decided to refresh this still disabled cache that I had looked for on the first night and was surprised to see found it logs! I did imagine someone would think it is a good idea to replace it.... with 500+ people and right at the mega site it was bound for one person to start a trend!
So, like everyone else I quickly stopped by this final cache before attending the final event down the road. Found the replacement and signed the log
Hopefully the CO of the cache becomes active again so it can officially live on...!

We skipped this cache when we did the others nearby because it had been disabled. But, we heard a whisper that it had been replaced so we stopped to check on the way back out from the farewell event. Sure enough it had been so we were able to sign this one and add another smilry.

We had an enjoyable morning finding the caches along this road, after leaving the Mega. All of the caches were found pretty easily, with some taking a little longer because our GPS was a bit unreliable. Thanks for placing these caches - it was great to have a little trail to do on our way out. TFTC!

Thanks h.j.smith for placing this geocaches 7219 find for me. CITO was first on the list after listening to Cully's talk. The next plan was to find our final GEO art, followed by the dam lab cache. Anything in-between was a bonus.
The time has finally arrived for a massive Australian road trip with The Kiwi Chicks. We are GraciesGPSfun , thedbees , Ethness, Infoferret , Jude_E and me Nosynel. We might sometimes sign the geocaches as KCs or TKCs.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

We are finding some great caches while at the Mega.
A group of five of us from Auckland, New Zealand have embarked ourselves upon Australian territory to while away the time here at the MEGA and to gather up some old caches and see the country wile we’re at it.
I didn't want to go past this one without at least coming for a quick search, sure enough it was found.
All logs while in Australia were signed as NZ MEGA 2020 to save space. We are FMZ, Agazo, rustynz, harisree and myself.

The GeoFamily and I are off to the Gong for the OzGeoMuster. We got up at sparrow flatulence, and set off in the dark. Mrs Mister JD uses Mister JD with me, but the kids have their own ids, AM_MMJD and Su_MMJD. Dawn didn't appear before Goulburn. We ate at the dreaded Maccas, and on we went to event GZ and about 8:30, where we met our geocaching friends. Hugs, chats, milling about. Then off for a day of geocaching with our mates. Day 1, we collected four and had a great day. Day two saw us with 12 caches and a lot of fun. Today, we've arranged to meet up with our mates at the fmega event site for lab caches and to do th Jamboree series. We got 15 lab caches logged, with the battle of the labs all solved but unlogged because the app didn;t want to play. No worries, we had the fun. The kids loved all the labs except the zombies. We elected to start at the dam end for the Jamboree series. We fond all of them, even the disabled one.
I'm sorry about the generic logs. The lurgy has got me.
.Hmm. Disabled. Found it anyway. And it's a "Regular" for my project. Obviously replaced.
Find no 5 of 17 today.
Thanks, h.j.smith

Not feeling tired, I was interested in a walk down n up this road under torch light.

With all the noises coming from the dark bush made it for an interesting n sometimes on edge caching experience.

2nd Mega evet and first one away at the Oz Geomuster Mega at Cataract (the Gong). Highlight for today was the group visit to the “Dark Side of the Moon”. Most of the caching today was with my geo buddies mtrax and StrangeTrousers. Had been looking forward to this for a while. Met new geocachers at the trivia night and even at parkrun before we headed off to the fun in the tunnel at the “Dark Side of the Moon.” The day was topped off with a trivia night and more people to meet and a chance to catch up with old friends too.

Found on my adventure to the 2019 OzGeoMuster in Wollongong. A few crazy long days of caching working my way through a huge number of towns en route from Geelong to Wollongong and back, a different route each way leading to different caches, different CO’s and different vista’s, all enjoyable. We targeted caches with a number of goals in mind. Jasmer months, D/T loops and LGA’s were high on the agenda, with priority also given to virtuals, large caches and whereigo’s.
Thanks to h.j.smith for placing this Regular Traditional cache for us to find. This is find 1313 for BFMC.

#7216. I came over to Australia a week ago and have had a great time caching in Sydney and Canberra. Today it was Mega day. Should have been the highlight of the trip but alas technology seriously let me down. Both my GPS units went offline for about 4-5 hours from 10 am before working again without a hitch for rest of the trip. The phone totally refused to upload the Adventure Lab app and with Groundspeak now making that a mandatory way to log lab caches I was sunk. Gathered codes at the shed but couldn't do anything with them. Very frustrating and not thinking kind thoughts about our geocaching masters in Seattle at the moment. Anyway flagged away doing other Mega activities and just went back to the basics - finding geocaches. Off to pick up the Jamboree series. Having fun grabbing these. So many other cachers out on the trail so its quite sociable geocaching. Not quite a case of lining up to sign but certainly easy to locate as others emerge from the scrub. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here h.j.smith.
In the area to attend the OzMuster so couldn't pass up doing these as we had completed the nearby series quicker than we expected.
Thanks for the information and for placing these for us to find.

Teamed up with Natalie247 and dghoffy for a day's caching under the alias of Trans Tasman Team (TTT). Great fun, and awesome to have a bit of team work! TFTC!!!
#5225 9th for today
Day two of the Oz Geomuster Mega at Cataract (the Gong). Caching with mtrax and CBRChic and various others. Several highlights today, the voyage into the dark for "Dark Side of the Moon" as well as the Trivia Event at the mega itself. In between we did lab caches and adventure caches with varying success. Weather was a bit drizzly early on, but lovely & warm the rest of the day. Met lots of great cachers out doing what they do & back at the mega gz.
Thanks h.j.smith

After registration at the Mega, one of our first targets for the day was the Jamboree series. They had some attraction for us as our two boys were active in scouts and attended some jamborees in Victoria. Accurate coordinates and a good geotrail led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks h.j.smith for the cache.
Thanks for the cache, and trail. Out caching for the day with kingfisher_au. Down for the ozgeomuster , thanks for bringing me here.
Here now at the Oz Geomuster and out grabbing the event caches and few of the others TFTC
Seems this one has been muggled. I will be able to replace it in mid June. Damn.
As previously stated no sign of a cache. I found a geotrail in and spotted and photographed a likely spot. Even saw some discarded camo. If CO wants I can forward the photo to confirm.
Oldmorty and I searched but couldn't find anything of a regular size here.
I'm afraid it may be missing.

Down at Cataract Scout Park today for the gear packing and collection of merchandise for the upcoming 25th Jamboree in Adelaide.
Thanks h.j.smith for this great series. I did not complete them all. I will have to complete the rest when I am next at the camp.

Down in and around the southern highlands for a few days and trying to rack up a few numbers with the kids.
This Scouting series was a good way to break up the drive from Newcastle. Apologies for the generic logs but when you find 20 in an hour they tend to get a bit that way!
After doing the ones on the main road it was nice to feel much safer with the kids. Geotrails are VERY obvious along this stretch.
Where’d 11 go?!? Ha ha
