Logs
Kids disappointed they couldn't log this one when it was marked as easy. None of them could climb the tree.
It really doesn’t help when you can see it but just can’t get it . It’s higher than you would think
Having recently made a compact launcher to fit on a bag for a plane plus rope and other kit it was time to put it to the test. Happy to report no issues in transit. After success in the morning this was close on the run after work. We thought this was an unloved cache but certain apparel nearby suggested otherwise. See pic
Once the rope was in the right place we again made short work of getting the container. The log in this one is not stuck in so careful not to drop. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.

Read the two previous unsuccesful attempts.
Had the equipment.
And
Had the experience and could climb a tree that tall.
So the bananas did.

We were in the right spot for the GZ according to the app, but couldn’t find it. It was my second attempt, this time with big daughter. But we will be back.
Headed to Albury to get an FTF and to link up with the CO. Great day. I was keen to do some more climbing and also had the D1T5 climb as a priority.
After some Subway, we ventured to GZ. We looked...and looked...and looked. No container. What the??? Oh well, best we get a replacement up there, so that I, and others to follow, can get a smiley.
...and that is what we did. I had fun with the climbing and learning more about the equipment. Great spot, too. And great company. A fave. TFTC JA

Thinking that this new one had sat there unfound long enough, and that the southerners had had plenty of time to come up and claim the FTF, I decided on a whim after work to head up the hill and take in the view.
After it had been raining most of the day, the clouds had nicked off and the sun had decided to come out, so on the way home from work, a quick meeting was had with the occupants of my car, and I came to the decision that it was on like donkey kong.
I threw all the gear into the old mighty Triton to give it a bit of a run before it is put up for stud, and I zoomed up to GZ. It was nice and quiet up on the hill tonight so setup went ahead unmuggled, except for terribly overshooting the first shot and getting the shot bag waaay over the back, but second shot was a charm, so it was rope up, me up, and sign the log in the blank spot.
As I was packing up, one car came past, slowed right down, looked and then drove off....probably couldn't come up with a good enough question as to what I was doing standing there in my harness with stuff hanging off it.
Thanks Ben for a nice climb on a sunny Friday evening.
Apparently Winter is coming........so they keep telling me.......
