I too **DO NOT** like puzzles. I don't know what it is, but it seems like my IQ absolutely plummets as soon as I open up a mystery cache's cache page. However, I must be a glutton for punishment as I have turned my focus on trying to qualify for [ahomburg's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=1ded3729-fe62-40bb-9f5f-fd559e7163b1&wid=2ea93f43-d6fb-4f7e-938a-bacef589ab2c&ds=2) challenge cache, [WCW - Almost a Complete Mystery Challenge (GC9Z59N)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9Z59N).So although I do not like puzzles, I have been actively working on trying to solve as many as I can. However, that means I have needed a lot of hints and pushes from some very kind CO's in order to help me solve a lot of them....*this one included!*I remember trying to solve this one a while back, but like so many caches I never know where to get started. I had to ask the very kind [CO](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=741be9aa-1762-4a78-b9aa-a685a51e9b8a&wid=7a64fd41-8855-4440-8924-a1de30139841&ds=2), for a push to even get started as none of my original ideas panned out. However, once I got an initial push, I was able to make it through the second and third part of this puzzle and only needed a last second hint to finally obtain the correct coordinates for GZ. So with needing to find a mystery cache today in order to fill in a missing calendar date for [ahomburg's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=1ded3729-fe62-40bb-9f5f-fd559e7163b1&wid=2ea93f43-d6fb-4f7e-938a-bacef589ab2c&ds=2) challenge cache, I decided to finally attempt to find this one. So after work I hopped in the geomobile and made my way over to GZ. Luckily when I arrived I was able to find a nice place to park and had the entire area to myself. This allowed me to make a nice uniterupted search at GZ and after a short search the cache was found and the logbook signed.A big thanks goes to [The Rustys](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=741be9aa-1762-4a78-b9aa-a685a51e9b8a&wid=7a64fd41-8855-4440-8924-a1de30139841&ds=2) for all the fun today and for all the help with solving this puzzle. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status:**The cache container was in fairly decent shape and the attachment mechanism still seemed strong. However, there was some moisture on the outside of the cache container and that has caused a bit of rust to form. However, the container must be working as the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.
I DO NOT LIKE **illogical **puzzles Tiz13 does love logical puzzles though...and this one was a very nice logical one.. getting to GZ was not so logical as I hit a road block ... but like all logical puzzles their is a way to solve things, just a small 5 km detour lol.... and a very fitting final cache at an interesting location..the frogs were in full throttle at GZ as i found this cache...Tiz13 is favourite point worthy for the concept from start to finish.
I solved this ages ago, and when looking at it now I have no idea what I did. Then, I saw it - how cool of a puzzle is this! A long time ago, I used to deliver mail in this area, and someone quite famous grew up in the house across the road from GZ. Thanks for placing this one here, and the cache was a cool hide.
I Like Puzzles and as such I solved this one early in my puzzle solving run. So early that it was before I did all puzzles online, and knew about the Geocaching Notes field. No idea why I had never collecting it in all these years. I actually can't even find my notes, but they must be in a notebook somewhere.
Today I needed a Non-Traditional cache for the day and this one seemed to be near my route home. I parked in the car park I had stopped at before, and then realised that the cache was a full kilometre away. Started to think I had it wrong, so sent out a PAF and started walking. Got to my GZ, and saw where I should have parked. Then quickly found the nice geocache and a TB.
Thanks for the cache The Rusty's

Someone suggested shenanigans, so we ended up doing a lap around the reservoir to pick up a few caches we had our eyes on.
Hilariously, and maybe appropriately, I was led to the coordinates of this cache without having solved the puzzle.
Thanks, The Rusty's, for this neatly constructed hide. The site is very picturesque at dusk.
I'm proud to state that I later found the solution all by myself.

Found 6:00 am
Was frustrated by this puzzle and so a nudge was provided and then a head-slap!! Gee should of look there... Anyway still a pleasure to have solved and nicely done. So this morning headed off to GZ and found an approach from the west being block by flooding so took the eastward approach and all smooth going to arrive finally at GZ for a quick find. Nice hide done here. [^]

I saw this cache and thought I would write a note to say I don’t like puzzle caches either.
As you may see I’ve been caching for about 10 years and have found less than 100 puzzle caches. I have gone out of my way to avoid finding puzzle caches. Most puzzle caches seem to be invented by people who enjoy inflicting pain on others!!
Anyway I went caching today and found a cache in a duck. A perfectly regular cache that required kayak or bathers if you are game! No puzzle involved!!
So on the way home I passed near GZ for this cache but didn’t stop as it was too busy. Maybe another day!
Or not!
Or maybe I did already…. Or not!

1) This puzzle was very INTERESTING indeed.
2) Thinking OUTSIDE the box is crucial to getting anywhere with it.
3) Thankfully, I do REALLY like puzzles and had a few guesses as to what might be involved.
4) Going through each of them proved to be a HELPFUL route.
5) Thank goodness I tried the CORRECT one fairly early on!
6) Because I had some FAMILIARITY with the subsequent component, I knew exactly where I needed to search.
7) Looked for it there and found the INFORMATION I was after!
Those coordinates were in my HANDS in no time at all.
9) We did search around gz a few months ago - or went to, RATHER.
10) Google went to take us down the WRONG road!
11) Eventually, hindrance by MUGGLES meant that we didn't end up looking for the cache at all!
12) This time, determined to find it, we were LUCKY to not have any around.
13) Of course, I'm excluding the puttputtputt of the TRACTOR in the distance.
14) I was a bit distracted by an object that was not the cache I SOUGHT.
15) Fortunately, quick advice from buhfuhguh brought me to the prize, and what an EXCELLENT hide it is!
16) A GIANT thanks to The Rusty's for this wonderful puzzle and a hide that's equally as good, both of which definitely deserve a favourite point!
17) And there is even an extra little message in this log, but I'm sure you've figured it out by now (must mean you LOVE puzzles!)

Another day out and about with Brainiac03 today as we go out for a very impromptu and sporadic day out caching with no real plan or guide to tell us where we are going. Just picking caches that we're nearby or interesting to keep up going. With roughly 24 found including a couple fun multis we were happy with today's work with no DNF's. A nice cool day after some swelters all in all had fun, Thanks for the cache and the little adventure

Oh boy, this puzzle had me doing all sorts of mental gymnastics! Very clever! It makes the moment the coords appear that much sweeter
The find at GZ was nice and quick, love when it's the first place I look!
There was a father and son playing with kites and it was the perfect sunny but blustery winter's day for it.
Thanks for the cache and the puzzle!

Flying a kite with the kids and there was no one else here, so we were finally able to grab this one. Thanks for bringing us to a park within our 5km that we didn't know about.
Solved this puzzle (finally!) last night, but a congregation of people were standing right outside gz! What an odd spot for a meeting.
Decided to move along and save this one for another day.
Thanks for the puzzle and adventure nonetheless!

After studying this puzzle for ages, I had to concede and reached out to the CO for a tip. I felt a bit silly afterwards because I had done a similar puzzle once before and, on that occasion, I didn't need any help with it. Does that mean I'm actually getting worse at this game the longer I play it?
We were in the area and decided to sign the log. Interesting place.
Thanks The Rusty's for the puzzle and the cache.
Chiefton!!!

This was a fun puzzle that Knight_shift helped me with. It was fitting that I was out caching with her today, and we called past here and logged the find. I had never been down this road and enjoyed the lovely farms, and the animals.
Thanks for bringing me here The Rusty's, and for your ongoing work in providing new challenges for us.

Solved the puzzle some time back and dropped by this morning to make the find on my way to mums for a care visit.
Cache found quickly and in good condition on a nice and sunny but chilly morning.
Cache logged with sanitised hands.
**Thanks for placing this cache The Rustys**

Sadly , The Whittlesea Event 2020 has been cancelled this year because of this cursed Corona thingy but big things are still continuing to happen in Victoria! *Are you joining in the fun?*

I had made plans to go to an event in Berwick today so I contacted My old caching mate Trailrunning to see if he wanted to meet up and go caching in the area, so after enjoying some Bacon & Eggs for breakfast at the event I headed off caching with Trailrunning and kids we had a fun day caching up and finding a few solved puzzles we had in the solve pile. now that would be a lie as I spent many hours trying to solve them.
Thanks The Rustys for the cache.

Out with Rebel Acts and my kids for a day of caching. This is one of many found today. I love puzzles, they are the best. Easily found by Rebel Acts. Thanks.
Last weekend, Steve & I completed a 12 month T5 challenge which funnily enough, was easier to achieve than this cache. The puzzle broke me. For over a year, I have been staring at the cache page, waiting for my aha moment. It never came and I had to admit defeat, so I reached out to the lovely CO for that all important clue to get me on track. Very clever and a tad sneaky:)
Tonight we went straight out to make the find. Steve, thinking he knew exactly where we were going, ignored the lady from google maps, so we had a pleasant 15 minute drive to nowhere in particular, until we pulled over and realised she was indeed correct. Go figure:)
At GZ, there were a couple of muggles in their cars, looking slightly dodgy, so we locked our doors and waited for them to leave, which thankfully was straight away. Our only redeeming feature in this mission was that the cache was found in the first place we searched.
Thanks The Rusty’s for a fantastic puzzle that was so cleverly designed, despite the fact that it nearly drove me insane:) You certainly deserved a favourite point.

Found at 11:53 AM GAFF5/1.
Due to p-pprass's aversion to a certain element of the geocaching game, he would never have worked out this puzzle [:o)]
At GZ - we checked a few likely spots until a very well crafted hide was found that deserves an FP.
Thanks The Rustys
Feedback: This cache deserves an additional Star for Difficulty when compared to KIWI Pride.

A nice aligning of the starts today. I was at a fund raising night for geocahcers a week earlier and I cornered the CO for a little help with this puzzle. she was kind enough to get me on the right track with a hint and I was soon able to work out what was needed. I was providing support crew services for the same Oxfam Trailwalker team so after waving them off at Lysterfield Lake at the start of the event today had some free time to check out a few caches. This was my first stop and certainly all quiet around here early on a Friday morning. Lucky try at the first spot I tried I was pleased to grab this nicely constructed cache. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache The Rustys. This one earns a favourite point from me.

30/10/18 this puzzle was annoying the hell outa me, the obvious didnt work, the hint was deceptive and there was no checker. The absence of a checker is a big hint. I focused on the line of information on required number. I searched some more and then something looked suss. BINGO i think i have the coords.
26/11 went out to specifically grab this one. Walked up a lovely hill (not really lovely) and got to within 15m of GZ. Long story short, after reading some logs i realised this was not the correct GZ clearly! Back home later on i checked over this a few times and could not work out my mistake. Checked if i had had any interaction with the CO...lo and behold i had messaged the CO to confim my guess and they did confirm it but i made a typo when inputting the final coords. Duh!
The find: Ducked out to grab this first Geoboyb12 was playing cricket up the road a bit. I honestly can't remember the solve damn it. As we were traveling down this road i was thinking why put a cache down this dead end road with only private houses. Got to GZ... wow, who woulda thunk it! Being cricket lovers we loved the ramdomness of this spot. Had a wander around the perimeter before we headed off. Love the effort on the construction. Giving this a fave for sure.

Being cricket lovers we loved the ramdomness of this spot. Had a wander around the perimeter before we headed off. Love the effort on the construction. Giving this a fave for sure.
Got it with help from geofriend.
Wouldn't do it on my own.
Thanks The Rustys for bring me here and cache.

Got the puzzle solved and found it. Good hide!! Thanks The Rusty's for the cache.
I don't like puzzles either. But I liked this one, because I could solve it! With a heavy head, due to weeding headache, I drove down this dusty road to find the cache. Only to find a muggle sat in the carpark. A muggle, here? Really? Couldn't he find another park? I out waited him, and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC The Rustys
Loved this puzzle - very clever! No one at gz today so easy retrieve and sign. Clever little hide too. Fav from me. Thanks The Rustys
We were in the area so dropped past to collect this one. Very clever puzzle and tricky hide. Cheers for the cache
I found this cache today at 1:45pm as 7 of 17 on my Mysteries of Cardinia, Berwick and Beaconsfield Tour.My second mystery cache for the day and yet one more that I had long solved but never got around to picking up. Our 1st cache find at this park that I didn't realise existed until today. A nice cache set up. Our 773rd mystery cache find. Thanks from D B-A.
Enjoying a day of caching in the Melbourne area in the company of McLookers , we set about working our way to pre solved puzzles, DT and multis that we came across in our travels. With this fun mystery solved long ago after noticing it on social media , we were happy to be in the area today and add our name to the logbook. Thanks The Rustys for a well thought out puzzle......see they are not all that bad [^]
This cache piqued my interest not long after it was published. I lucked in on a solution. Today we were in the area so we spun by for the find. A great cache construction and camo, found with The Tritonz. Thanks The Rustys, a favourite from me.
I generally do like puzzles. I have spent ages solving puzzles all around the world for that one day when I may just happen to be in Djibouti or Baghdad to make a quick find.
This puzzle gave me some grief though. I eventually asked a friend of yours one night if she had solved it. She hadn't at that point, but was quick to advise otherwise early the next morning and I scored the tiniest of hints which just puzzled me more.
I printed it out and took it to work. I know she's a smart cookie but I was frustrated that she worked it out so quickly and I had to redeem myself.
I was too busy that day so when I arrived home (said hello and the other expected niceties) I poured a decent size single malt and sat down to work it out.
As the glass touched my lips for the first time I had that aha moment. Why didn't I see it last night? OMG it's so simple. I had it solved within about 2 minutes and shot it back to her so I could have my moment of glory, albeit a long 12 hours behind
So today I took my family to find it. We had a big panic on the way as a jack jumper (bull ant or whatever you mainlanders call them) had found its way onto the back seat and was terrorizing the children. I saved the day, flicking it out after a screeching stop on the side of the highway.
At gz I sat in the car and let the kids bring the cache to me, after all I was the hero and I was lapping up every minute of it.
Thanks guys, the solve was just as enjoyable as the find

Out with Yorsys today on Friday the 13th hunting down a few caches. Being the 13th, our bad luck was the bloody rain did not stop. This cache was the main focus of our search from The Swaggies point of view, because we had the finals worked out and then it was disabled. We were hoping you weren't going to change anything because then we would have to work it out again. Today we were lucky (it was still raining so the muggles were kept away) and the cache was where it should have been. A quick log and we were off again.

I freely confess to having gotten help with this one, but a good puzzle it is too. Once I got to GZ the cache was found in a very good version of a classic hide. Many thanks The Rusty's.
I like puzzles I can work out. I don't like puzzles where the method can't be gleaned from the page and the only way to solve it is by trial and guess work.
This puzzle I really liked. It was not obvious at first and then led you on to different things. It was clever and novel.
Having solved the puzzle in the comfort of my home, it was time to get out there and find the hard evidence. The hints helped for both the puzzle and the find. Thank you Rustys you get a favourite from me.

Heading out this part of town to catch up with some other cachers to tackle a night cache and made the most of grabbing a couple of smilies on the way, this one had been solved a little while ago and I happened to be nearby so I made a quick detour and a quick find after a short search. Thanks The Rustys for the challenge and the sneaky hide.
I quite like puzzles myself. Geocaching ones anyway. But I'm not a particularly gifted puzzle-solver. This one, for instance, took me much, much longer than it really should have. I suspect I first glanced at it when it was published and in one of my earliest exchanges with the CO I remarked that I might one day need a hint. Much more recently the hint on the page was altered almost imperceptibly. And that was enough. I had a "D'oh! Of course!" sort of moment.
I rather liked the cache itself. Perhaps even more so the version that was missing when I came looking for it recently. I didn't actually see that version, but the CO's description sounded a little bit brilliant. Thanks again The Rustys!

I headed out for a caching run with Stemicmitsar, our first for some time. Steve had already found this cache but stopped so that I could find it. A nice puzzle and a creative container. Apart from stepping onto some ground that proved to be very much wetter than it appeared to be which resulted in my getting a wet foot, I enjoyed this very much. A favourite point from me.

The coords were almost certainly correct and the area showed some promise but the cache didn't reveal itself despite a moderately protracted search. Another time, I guess. Cheers The Rustys!
This was a neat puzzle and one that I could solve. I have to admit that I do like puzzles and I particularly like them when I can work them out! Arriving at GZ on this cool sunny morning, there wasn't a soul about, which was not entirely unexpected. A clever and one that I was onto without being led astray.
Thanks to The Rusty's for the puzzle and the cache.

Today was a day of multiple missions. The weather was not looking too great, but it had to be done. A solo mission for me was to clear out as many caches as possible in my 10k zone, finish the LouiseAnn Cluedo Series as well as the Rustys Jitterbug series and finally complete the decathalon from the GCA GeosportZ. Happy to say, all missions were complete, I got saturated but I was happy and home in time for basketball.
I do not like puzzles.... Or at least the ones I cant solve I liked this one. took a while but got it eventually.... I have a thick head GZ was great, the places you find while caching

Well, I found it, but did I, really I shouldn't have, and anyone who wants to try a PAF, don't call me as I don't know the co-ords. So I have no idea how to get to GZ, although our name is in the log and I signed it at GZ.
Long story short, I had looked at this one and had no idea (no idea) how to solve it, so forgot about, ignored it, and just didn't bother, but at the weekend I was sitting home, and I needed to find a cache as a pick me up, and I was determined to find this one (WHY!!!!), ok, still no luck solving it, look through some info, and still no luck, but then a light bulb moment told me where the cache was, not how to solve the sill thing, but where it was. Drove straight to GZ, looked, gropped, felt and looked some more, widened the search, even widened the search by 50 metres, as remember I didn't know where GZ was with co-ords. Walked away, and just thought that was about how my week was going.
Anyhow today I was sitting in the car service centre in FTG, and I get a message from the CO, who is about to go do a maintenance run, so I had to come clean that I hadn't solved the puzzle, but anyhow it turns out the first spot I looked and was most interested in, was the correct location (how did I do that), so as I was passing close by on my way home later and to save the CO a trip I offered to check it out, now knowing that I was in the right spot. Back at GZ, I looked, I felt, I gropped, I dropped my phone, I looked some more. No joy.
After letting the CO know it was gone, I decided to have wider look and eventually found it, buried in the mud, in a drain about 15 metres from GZ. A quick message to the CO ''Found IIt''. Gave it a quick clean up and dry, and soon had the log signed, and it was back where it belonged, no not in the mud.
Thanks for the cache, and the hunt, and the muddy search.
PS. And please don't tell anyone, I don't like puzzle caches either.
PPS. Did you know that the virtual location of this cache is 10.47 K's, from the chair I am sitting on while typing on my laptop. For those hoping to triangulate my couch to the final GZ, I don't know the distance to GZ, because I don't know what the co-ords are.

Embarrassingly I needed a massive shove in the right direction from the CO to solve this puzzle. And I love solving puzzles. And I was with the CO when she got the idea for constructing this puzzle. And I still couldn't quite get off the starting blocks . . . This is a very neat puzzle and I was finally kind of near GZ so I took the detour to make the find. Now off to try and solve more puzzles.
Found @4:06 PM #1905 Must say i am not the worlds best puzzler but i do try and managed to solve this one and finally today went out and picked up this sneaky cache. Was out in open but sorted now and rehidden .
Great area and a great hide and puzzle.

Another Rusty's cache, hmmmm. Looked at this one and pondered, I can usually see the end result immediately or find I have to ponder at length. This was the latter. To cut the story short, we did indeed work out where the cache was and it was in a very deserted place. Thanks for another cache, keep them coming.

I think I can relate to all the sentences on this cache page as most of the time I look at a puzzle cache, I think to myself, where do I start, I then put it in the too hard basket and move on to something else.
I noticed this one on the map last week and I knew that I would be back this way again this week so I took a look at it and look at it I did but once again I was not seeing what everyone else does, THE COORDINATES.
So I decided that after reading different things on the cache page and in the logs, that there were a number of hints there to help me narrow down the area to where the cache is located.
I had one spot in mind, so that's where I headed to.
Once I arrived at my suspected location, I knew I was in the right area, I now just had to narrow it down a bit more as not having any coordinates, I could be here or there or maybe somewhere else.
I headed for a particular structure first and had a bit of a look around, I came up empty handed.
I gave up on this spot and headed back to the car but just before I arrived at the car, I check out another spot which maybe I should of checked out first but I didn't, this time my persistence paid off and I had the cache and log in my hand.
Who says you need coordinates and a GPS to find a cache.

GT02 Spiffy- and I headed out to Berwick for the lake series plus a few extras to collect. This cache seemed to excite Spiffy- despite him being blind at GZ. He always is for these types of hides. He was 10m away looking for a magic button or something and GT02 and I were standing at GZ holding the cache waiting for him to turn around. He gave rhe usual oh b... h.... then we signed it and on our way. Favorite for the hide. Nicely done. Thanks The Rusty's for the cache.
Spiffy- Fleabag- and I had been out caching in the area and we had this one solved already. I found it with Fleabag- while Spiffy- was looking at random things. Thanks The Rusty's for the cache.
Today Fleabag-, GT02 and I decided to head to Berwick to do the excellent "A Walk In The Park" series after Fleabag- got a hint for the final puzzle in the area we needed to solve at a recent event from the CO himself. So off we headed, had a great time getting all the different types of cache and we managed to get every cache in the park.
I Do Not Like Some Puzzles. Particularly the ones that are just the "What random thing was I thinking of today" but this one was nice and solveable for me anyway.
After leaving Berwick on the way home we stopped by at this one. I had a quick search and found nothing which is always the case with these types of caches for me. But luckily I had Fleabag- along who finally found the magic button.
Thanks The Rusty's for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

This afternoon we found a trio of Rusty's caches. This was the first.
I had not noticed this cache before, probably because on the map it was hiding behind a smiley. It was only after examining a list of Rusty's hides did I investigate further. The puzzle was thought about for a few short minutes before the solution popped out. I wish could reveal more about why this was interesting to me but that would be too big a hint, so I'll keep it to myself and maybe the CO. The idea of the puzzle I have seen before, and recently, so I kicked myself for not getting it straight away!
Heading out to GZ the place was empty. Deserted. Barren. Why does this place even exist so far down the dirt road? I left the engine (and air con!) running while I ducked out to grab the easy find. I have seen a few of these in the last year and again I won't say too much or I will spoil it for future finders.
By the way did you notice the golf course in the front garden of one of the houses on the way in? That was impressive. My uncle built an 18 hole mini golf course on a bush property once but this one had bunkers and water. Nice!
Overall a nice little puzzle and location, but I disagree. ***I*** like puzzles and love that feeling when the co-ordinates reveal themselves. Thanks Rusty's for getting the brain working.

STF ! This puzzle had me trying various methods, without getting far. After the FTF went the other day I revisited the clues and soon had some coordinates. GZ was deserted which gave me ample time to search. Thanks for the puzzle, a clever way to hide coordinates

Yippee!! My first 'first to find' on a puzzle cache. One of those nights when the sleep thing just wasn't happening, I thought I'd give this puzzle a crack at about 2am. After a short time had figured out how to crack those sneaky coordinates. What a good way to disclose the coordinates. After hitting bed soon after I had my alarm set at 6 to go see if my late night epiphany was correct. As I was approaching GZ, saw some clues that led me to believe I was on the right track. I started my search of GZ and was quite surprised by a very short lady who approached me and said 'the planes, the planes'. Pinched myself a couple of times to make sure I wasn't still sound asleep in bed but no she was real. Was quite a shock to see someone out and about out here at this time of the morning. I gave her the only answer that popped into my head at the moment, 'Welcome to Fantasy Island?' Now she was confused as well. Obviously she was on her way to Mount Mordor with Sam and Frodo to destroy the ring. Turns out after some more strange backwards and forwards conversation that she was on the lookout for some RC planes to photograph. She moved on, only took me a few moments to find the very well hidden cache and the fresh log was signed. Cheers for the cache, a really clever hide.
