Out with Trodectus on a cold night. Arrived GZ and were hoping for a quick find, started searching and searching and searching, were fairly sure we were in the right area, read previous logs which seem ed to confirm where we were but no luck. After searching for a while with no luck, we headed off the next cache on our list.

So today was the day we drove home from the inlaws place just outside the ACT to our home in Brisbane. We are a driving family and often do the trip in one day. Today's challenge was to log a cache in all three states/territories. We left the inlaws at 5:10am and did the quick trip backwards into the Capital and completed GC69QDK the first of the three at 5:28am and then commenced our trip north. Shortly before Moree at 3:10pm we knocked off the NSW cache GC4JH0E which was lucky as a storm was about to hit. Driving on we picked up the QLD cache GC5W1V3 at 6:35pm (NSW time). Thank you to all three CO's for placing nice pickups for us weary travellers. After 16 hours of travelling we made it home in time for a late dinner.

Had a Xmas Day cache-hunting out with ALL7. We found 7 caches then failed other one at the last before we decided to go home.
TFTC.
Today was a really hot day. We just postponed the longest trial on foot for later when we depend on cool weather.
Happy Xmas/New Year holidays to all of you GCers!! Cheers!!

Please wear the safety gloves and long sleeved top as there are some spiky flowers or whatever that caused itchy reaction on my forearms.

Another one done. Woo Hoo! I love the challenge of the geocache hunt - read the notes, decipher the cache requirements, and go searching for the hide. This is an amazing world-wide game of hide and seek. I love it! I also enjoy caching with my family, and meeting fellow cachers. It really is a small world when I read over cache logs. **Thanks go to Champs2Monkeys** for placing this cache and maintaining it. It's a great contribution to the Geocaching community and much appreciated.

I enjoyed finding this one at 11:41:31 AM with Jackson Lightning and my 6yo geokid after stocking up with some rural supplies.
TFTC! Cheers. *Jump Pilot* Cool

5908 Found by baby&Mrs gopher on another enjoyable drive to Canberra at 1525. We had some time to fill in before meeting family at Gungahlin for the weekend. A cuppa was needed about now so we wandered across from the park. This was in the way so it was a must find. Overlooked the location at first as there was a $5 note on top of the container, that's 1 coffee. SL Tnx Champs2Monkeys

Found on a great day for walking, with my wonderful neighbour who not only kept an eye on our house while we were away, but pruned my roses and mowed the lawn. When I asked her to come to lunch, she replied rather hesitantly that she would prefer me to introduce her to geocaching.
So I combined the two and we came out here to Hall. After parking the car near the corner we set off up the road towards the village. What a wonderful way to introduce someone to geocaching. A variety of cache sizes, types of caches and variety of hides.
A good little hide which had soon been retrieved and once signing duties were completed the cache was returned to its hidey hole.

In Hall for a meeting this morning. So after finding one cache, I had to get the other one near the meeting venue. A couple of muggles about, so I retreated to the park across the road after the quick find. After waiting for the workers to go inside I returned the cache to it's resting place. TFTC

Just collecting the tail of section S3 of the power trail today. Pretty tricky with hordes of people coming and going to the market, but through the use of cunning muggle diversion techniques, had it signed and back with nobody the wiser.

I decided that, for my daily cache find, I would take the Golden GeoRetriever for a drive, and head out this way for a nice afternoon walk and grab one or 2 or maybe even 5 or 6 of the caches along the road into Hall ... so - we drove over here, parked in a handy parking area, and headed North to Running Horse first (figured I might do one or 2 to the South later, if it wasn't too late when I got back to the car ... found that first one, didn't find the next (Four On - which appears to be missing) found Gaurd Otto, was having fun, and it was a nice afternoon/evening, so I decided to head in to town for a couple more and maybe the first one of the trail on the other side - so I found this one, then continued on to Fire Hall and Right Here. Diesel Doggle and I were still having fun so I decided to duck up and grab Tank Hill, then the next one wasn't too far ... So - you guessed it - we kind of kept going - found Postie, Almost Down, Rocking Along, Falling, Speeding and Woo Hoo ... which I decided, a cache or 2 before that, would be a good place to stop ... else I might have ended up stuck who knows where along the border with a very tired dog (he is almost 14 years old!) so ... Dog and I kind of ended up having a lovely long evening walk, met a whole bunch of Scouts coming the other way just before I got to Woo Hoo, (and met some of them again when we got back to the Start of the CCT and some were still waiting for parents to come collect them Smile then when we got back to the car the dog and I both still had some energy so we headed South to grab Gold Creek Station and Old Grey ... and I decided I may as well find the TB hotel while I was almost there - so I ended up finding 15 caches (and only the one DNF) and arriving home rather pleasantly tired ... and also rather hungry!
TFTC - interesting corner Smile There was a strong likelihood of a few muggles in the area, so I decided to read the hint to make things a bit quicker ... tried to take it a bit too literally at first, but that didnt quite work out ... oh - there it is - lol
Was starting to get dark about here - took a few weird photos of the skyline, with pretty colours in the sky, between this cache and the next Smile

Had some spare time between dropping off and picking up teenagers so took the opportunity to break out the bike, lights and scarf and head off for some caching adventures in Hall. Stopped here at the last of three. There were some muggles outside the restaurant but some carefully applied stealth and lights off allowed the find to be made undetected, good fun! Found at 2030 on a clear, still and cold Friday evening of about 4 degrees.
Thanks for the mammoth series C2M, it going to take me a while to complete it, but at it's started.
Cheers

#2087 37 of 37 today.

I joined CBRChick & GeoSnag1 for this trip on this fine, but windy autumn day. We started out at the north most tip of the ACT, accessed from Carrington Rd where we left a geo-vehicle. In fairly short order, we were reeling caches as we made out way up to One Tree Hill. We were almost blown off our feet at times, which made log signing tricky. I signed the three of us as "ST, CC & GS1" but there may be other variations as I didn't do all the signing.

We passed a few cyclists on their way back from One Tree Hill. CC was particularly pleased to reach the summit and quickly retrieved the cache up there. We had some lunch and enjoyed the view. As we ate, we were joined by a herd of goats who had obviously picked up the scent of our food & were most keen to help us consume it. A couple of alpacas were also on their way.

CC & GS1 had to turn back at this point as they were on a tight schedule and I continued on down to Hall, where presumable my car was still parked. It was much easier going on the way to Hall, but it was also much busy. Lots of muggles out riding and walking today. Not surprising as it was very pleasant outdoors today if you escaped the wind.

I eventually pulled into Hall, gathering the final few caches there and made a total of 37 find for the day. Sorry for the generic logs.

Thanks for the cache Champs2Monkeys.

Sunday 10 April 2016 - a 23 degree Autumn day with gusty winds at the top of the hill high up behind Hall Village. Enjoyed a combination of sunshine and overcast conditions over 5 hours of bike riding, walking, climbing and jogging to find 36 from 36 caches. Started at 11am from Hall all the way to CCT-S3-Gnarly and back down to Harcourt Hill Inn and completed the CCT series today having started several months ago. The GPS was out by about 10 metres when the caches were under the cover of trees. Thx for the hints as they helped enormously to find a number of caches. Worth two favourite points for the CCT caches completed today. TFTC.

Found on a weekend caching blitz to the ACT with Hoojar and The Rats. We came, we saw, we biked, we walked, we had plenty of fun along the way Big Grin.

Saturday was our monster day basically tackling the long snake of caches between Majura and Hall. A generic log like the others have used but that does not take away from the great CCT and other cache placements. TFTC!

After a few weeks of planning, and a number of attempts to align calendars, this weekend I came down to Canberra and the ACT area for a big weekend of caching with The Rats and steeba. On bikes, on foot, and in the car, we targeted a number of series and Power Trails placed since our last trip down here. The weather was perfect, the company exemplary, and the numbers achieved exceeded my expectations. It was a very long and tiring weekend, but of course it was also extremely satisfying!

Saturday was a big day. A very big day. Probably classified as a huge day! A massive amount of terrain was covered via various means. We went through suburbia, we rode along trails, we pounded the pavement. We found caches in several series, mostly along the Canberra Centenary Trail and it's surrounds. What a buzz! I really enjoyed the varying terrain, a few hills, some lovely wooded sections, and some amazing views. There is nothing quite as satisfying as going to bed knowing that you are thoroughly exhausted, and really earned your sleep!

Thanks to the all of the cache owners for placing their caches. Sorry for the mainly generic logs.

Cheers

[Teal]Came down to Canberra for a weekends caching with Hoojar and steeba. Taking advantage of the perfect weather conditions we had two great days riding our bikes around some of the newer powertrails that dot the city and suburbs.

Super Saturday had us racing around town from first light till the last rays of the day. We did different trails, different types of caches different types of hides, we used different forms of transport but most of had a great day.

Thanks to the various CO’s for placing these caches. My apologies for the generic log but it doesn’t detract from the fun we had finding them.
[/Teal] Cool

A cycle along half of the northern Canberra Centenary Trail on a pleasant autumn day. Found 50 of 50 looked for, then headed back to the car. That'll help my number of finds! Thanks very much for the series and TFTC.
