Out on a day tour to Dunedin from Roxburgh, a quick detour to find this cache in passing
Been meaning to detour to grab this one for ages. Today was the day to get it done. Quickly found. Cache all good. Thanks for the cache, cat_e_bear#5397 ** Make your way to Dunedin for New Zealands next large multi-day event. GCA7ZHD Geo Toroa will be held on NZs Labour Day long weekend 26-27th October 2024 **
Turned the blue sad face into yellow smiley one today here finally. Took me a while but once spotted it seemed so obvious. No wildlife or creepy crawlies to contend with this time. But got muggled ...Busted just as I was leaving! A man pulled up alongside and asked if there was a problem with the drain near GZ - he lives at a nearby property and has seen people stopping and looking all around the area a few times and was concerned about why. Explained the game to him and showed him the cache to ease his concerns and curiosity - he was fairly amused. Lovely guy and we had an interesting chat about the history of the nearby properties and the artifacts of old-time homesteading and logging that he has unearthed while working his land. Tftc.
Had the crap scared out of me by a rabbit bolting out noisily from the undergrowth at my feet on arrival at GZ, got poked in the eye and ear by dead cabbage tree leaves, nearly got stung in the hand by a semi-hibernating wasp, had a few dozen creepy slaters fall down on me and I reckon there is still a couple in my hair ... lol ... gave it a good go and after looking carefully over the same places again and again, decided to call it quits on this one before any other critters joined the party.
This was my first cache without my little dear friend. I picked this cache because she had 'Four'paws. She was a very loyal family member and I will miss her very much. We had 12 wonderful years together and she travelled 9474 kms on her log my dog tag although she only had the tag for the last 3 or four years. She will never be forgotten. RIP Eve X TFTC cat_e_bear
The vast majority of the Wednesday Walkers were also geocachers, so the muggle minority were forced to tag along. First stop along the way, near a very pleasant golf course.
Surrounds a tad wet and slippery, but safely negotiated to GZ, cache found, log book signed, all replaced and on our way.

Left my calling card here. Cheers.
Wednesday 11 November. Its Balclutha, Stirling, Tokomairiro, Waitahuna, Mt Stewart windfarm and back to Balclutha today. Lets get exploring.
Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

Found about 2 o'clock and the ground and grass still white and very crunchie under foot.
Very straightforward find. Did wonder a moment about the cache title. However after a good look around I discovered multiple interpretations which might or might not apply. So there you go.
Thank you for the cache

#220 having found four caches already, we fourt we would find one more. Looked in the wrong place to start with but common sense came to the fore and before we knew it, cache was in hand! TFTC
Great day out caching in the area, lot of neat caches, and interesting spots. Many Thanks Bitsprayer
A quick park and grab while out about grabbing a few caches. This was an easy find and on to the next one. TFTC
Otago weather starting to say, Dorothy - we're not in Southland anymore and another warm layer gets removed after the fog cleared. An easy find at the GZ following the elephant trail. Found the micro and SL our initials. Scribbled something down in my notes but could only read 'initials' so the log must be too full. TFTC
Four of us looked for this one and after a bit of fossicking whiskasnz was fortunate to find it. TFTC
A quick find in an area we have visited on caching business previously. Thanks
Very pleased to make a find here after two DNFs in a row. Watched a golfer fire off 4 shots off the closest tee before he heade3d off. Must be a bit tricky keeping track of 4 balls unless you manage to stick to the fairway. TFTC #10,017
Having worked near by for some time now I thought it was time to stop and grab this one. After a lovely little drive with the kids we found this one without too much trouble. Myself and Hannah filled in the log whilst the boys patted the nearby horses. The golf course also looks very inviting. Perhaps another day. Thanks for the cache, the roaming Hayward
Out today to get a few caches around the taieri planes. Views are amazing. Thank you to all for the caches
Not much activity on the course at 6pm, lucky for us. Cheers, the Milton Hilton is rather impressive on the drive back with all the lights on.
NIce specimen of a hint item. The road was very sticky with a nice layer of mud on it! Thanks.
Found with Kiwi Moose as we headed back to the airport and points North.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Quick find on way home after spending day in Dunedin. Plenty of golfers out today but no one seemed to notice us while grabbing the cache.
Found with Just-Lookin.
We enjoyed the nice drive around the area.
Soon located the container in the dark.

Trip down a road we had never been before. We thought we might have to come back to this one because there were so many people on the golf course but as it turned out they were so interested in their game they took no notice of us.

Fun roadtrip with some muggle friends who are always up for a random trip, where I'll turn off onto some random road.
Was hunting in the wrong spot. Luckily I had my helpers as one put her hand straight onto it.

Unaware of the co-ord update so found using the old numbers. Hint pretty explicit however. If the cache name is a reference to golf then I think you will find it is 'Fore!' The popular understanding is that this is a reference to a "fore-caddy" who was a person who waited near to where the ball was expected to land so they could spot it. The golfer would shout to alert the fore-caddy that they were about to play the shot. TFTC.

I found that the co-ordinates were somewhat out but with the hint you couldn't go wrong. Quite well hidden.
