Found this one on a wonderful day taking a hike on the island and encountering lovely koalas tftc, greetings from Austria
Found today with Lionfish while walking on the island grabbing a few cache. Easy find for the tall or agile TFTC
The rain finally stopped around midday. A trip to Raymond Island was the perfect excursion for the afternoon. This was our final cache of the day. Leaping geocachers! If you forget that the clue is in the name, you might give yourself a jump scare here No-one wanted to put their hand in, for the retrieve. Very well done. TFTC
Suscoe headed to Raymond Island today for some caching fun.We enjoyed the short trip on the ferry and the very pleasant wander around the island. We met quite a few tourists, an occasional koala and a few wallabies, not to mention water birds galore. It was great wandering about. Thanks to mazza-g for this hide.A favourite from us.
We fell in love with Raymond Island and thoroughly enjoyed travelling around it. We hope to come back and spend even more time here.Love your sense of humour. Thanks for highlighting the area mazza-g
#6503.This was a nice surpirse and we appreciated the container, especially the kids. TFTC!We are on the road again. This time on our way back home after a wonderful holiday break in the Heyfield area. We decided to leave a bit earlier, aiming to spend some time on Raymond Island after numerous friends recommended a visit. The ferry ride was a first for us as a family and we really enjoyed the experience. Then we set off to find some caches, and of course some koalas. We found most of the caches and plenty of Koalas and this island has definitely been a highlight of our trip.
More than a step up today! Involved a bit of effort. Replaced a lot easier for the next finder. TFTC a cute little fella.
On a road trip to attend Capital Geobash Mega and see many different sights along the way. Today we decided to catch the ferry across to Raymond Island for a look around. So glad we did. What a lovely spot. Thanks mazza-g for creating for us all to enjoy. Glad I knew there was a theme here as LeeLee may have jumped off the tree. Cache in good condition. ...................................................Are you ready to nominate in the **2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards**? Spending time with family in Paynesville, hired a bike and headed out for cache and koala spotting. A quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache.
Still road tripping the east and caching too with Jack and Purrfect Di. Down closer to sea level now! A great little series leading us around the island. Another very realistic hide! Fav Thank you mazza-g for this cache hide and ongoing care and maintenance ---------------- ----------------------In a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and solid caches falling from trees - - - a cache a day keeps us agile... sort of --------Caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp ) Work gets in the way - and some may take longer to log than others due to mixed technology and need for sleep! The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)]----------Cache carefully and make sure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Clean as you go and cache the countryside Big thanks to those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas, in nice safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun for all Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!! Maybe not though - as someone actually did read to the end and alerted me to just a project GC badge that requires long logs [:o)] Well at least it's not as bad as finding a mint tin! Did you get that... stop putting out rusty mint tins, just stop it, now!!! C'est fini... For now... ... until tomorrow! Viva Mexicana ! PS:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------GCA1DNA - Great Leap Forward ... or is it backward... it takes an extra day to get to March 29.2.24 The Mega Leap Event of the year. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------And don't forget to put the June Long Weekend in your diary for 2024 too... fun and funky finds
WOO HOO - found Leaping Lizard today. I had a bit of a chuckle when I realised where the cache container was hiding. No wonder there was leaping going on. I'm really enjoying the variety of cache containers in this Series - such fun to find. Thanks mazza-g for setting up and maintaining the RI Series. Raymond Island has always been a favourite place to visit .PS: The Troll Dolls [TN6TR0] were with me on my great caching adventures today.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to mazza-g for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

First place Connie looked but now well enough. Even with the hint it's a difficult retrieval.
After finding GZ l soon realized that my arms aren't long enough so I did what the hint suggested and bingo there it is nicely hidden cache signed and replaced...TFTC
Find # 10728
Found while travelling with sharkiefan, on an extended long weekend.
Today we headed east from Sale to cache on Raymond Island with the Koalas and then drive out along the Mitchell River Silt Jetties.
Another interesting day but this one will take some beating.
2 Ferry rides, half a dozen koalas, some cool letterboxes, a great drive around an island, lookout views over Jones Bay, chatting with the odd fisherman along Rivermouth Rd and poor old Milo, the dog, that just loves Rabbit poo.
A bit of a step up and the cache was then in hand.

Found with FUF009.
A really different day of caching for us. Involving a ferry, an island and a silt jetty. Usually we see wallabies and the odd bluey but today was all about the koala with the odd kanga.
I had a blast. Tftc

Another near hide, although we tried to move quickly due to the mosquitos! Tftc.
Needing a lab cache today for a personal challenge we have set ourselves and being that the temperature was going to be quite cooler in Gippsland than in Melbourne we decided to head to Paynesville to do the lab there stopping at any others that popped up on screen.
Once the Lab was done we decided to head over to Raymond Island to try this series as we had heard good things about it and we are glad that we did as the hides were imaginative and good fun. We only saw two other cars the entire time we were doing this trail, we had no muggle problems what so ever. It could have been different a couple of weeks back, with the amount of water lying around the roads may have been a bit muddy.
This one took us quite awhile to locate and it didn't really live up to it's name all that well it should have been burrowing lizard. We had to remove a bit of debris that he was hiding under then we were able to step up and add our name to the log.
Many thanks once more mazza-g for the hide another favourite from us.
