Very pleasant sunny Sunday and a great day to go geocaching, with everyone away on their summer holidays. Quiet and peaceful. Caching heaven. No sign of Ziggie today either.
This is our second visit to this cache as there were too many people around last time, so we just went away. Cache is all good. TFTC

It feels like ages since the last time we were out on the hunt. The weather has been predictably wet of late...

Papamoa: After a brief stopover at Gap's, I continued homeward. I had in mind a couple of caches to visit, and this was one of them. This is the second time I have been to this location. Last time, there was nothing to see here. Today, this was quickly spotted and signed off. On the two occasions I have called here, the area has been ridiculously busy. Glad to have knocked this one off. TFTC.

06-Jun-16
On a caching adventure with tigatat2 on this sunny Monday holiday but the day was closing in.
Parked up beside GZ so a quick park and grab was in order for me.
Tiga got to this one previously so I was soon back in the warmth of the car to sign before returning to Ziggys territory.
Lid was tricky to secure but made it eventually but maybe the sring could be replaced as there was not much of it left.

Had a day off work due to showery weather and my sister (CeeVee) was up for a couple of days. Time do go geocaching. Thought I saw Ziggy lying in the scrubs nearby, but it must have been a friend of Z as this was a black and white puddy cat. Care needed when retrieving cache as the cap came flying off when I grabbed it, and difficult to secure it when closing it. If it was tied to tree, its not now and could fall down. TFTC

31-May-16
Up from the Bay ( Hawkes bay that is ) for a visit. Sister ( Tigatat2 ) had a day off, due to the weather,so caching we go. No ginger cat in tree but Z's friend was close by. Cache may be in need of a little repair. Cheers.

24-Apr-16
We searched where we thought it should be, but had no luck so spread our search further. Still no luck, so back to the original spot. There was no sign of Ziggy, but while we were looking a unicorn galloped out with a cache in hand! It had been inside having its logbook replaced. Great to meet a keen young cacher. TFTC.

27-Mar-16
Easy spot not hard at all

27-Mar-16
Found during a mini get together and Papamoa bike ride with TNX Pro, NZBiscuit and Toastershoes.

We found the cache, however there is no log book in it, so we are logging this as found but there was nothing to sign.

The co-ords seem about 21 metres out, like others, we were directed to 8 metres inside the neighbour's property ... common sense prevailed though!

TFTC, didn't see Ziggy...

27-Mar-16
We could have gone searching around the trees against the house which is where the coords were taking us to, but as there are no other trees around we found in the obvious spot. Log book missing, so couldnt sign, but we found the rest of the cache, so its a find. TFTC

27-Mar-16
Found All Good supplied a new log tftc

27-Mar-16
Easter Weekend and a post on Facebook for a bike ride to collect a few caches. Excellent idea so joined in. No log book in the container so not able to sign. Only a domino

27-Mar-16
Was just heading out before to put a new log in cache but then saw a fellow geocacher has replaced it! Will go out there again tomorrow to see if cache is still in good condition and to re check co-ordinates!

26-Mar-16
Found this one yesterday. Nice and close to our home so acool little walk and find.

The storm we've just had caused it to be scattered all over the ground so we put it all back together and re-hid it.

OWNER - you may want to check we put it back in the right place

26-Mar-16
found, no log book. maybe ziggy got hungry.

19-Mar-16
Hitting the trails with the 1HIK crew (11hpg11, HKCB, iammrwalker and myself) on a mission to help them clear Tauranga caches.

Like the others we had a bit of issue with it but got with a little bit of logic.

19-Mar-16
Yet another mission/meander/drive/caching blitz/story telling to Tauranga/Papamoa with some of the Hamilton crew. An early start was on the cards so that we could make it back in time so a couple of the members could make it back in time for the Night Glow Event held at the Waikato Uni. So at 4.30am 11hpg11, Kyb3r, iammrwalker and myself plied into HPG's new caching vechicle and headed out for the day. As usual a fantastic day out and a bonus for the day was that the weather was on our side, even though it didn't look like it. A big thanks to all the CO's for the placements, we signed the logbooks with 1HIK (our caching names put together) to save some room on the logbooks.

A bit of strange cache here, GZ didn't look right but after reading a few long we found some more coords and that put us on the right track.

19-Mar-16
I found this Geocache along with HKCB, 11hpg11 and Kyb3r, a bunch of overachieving Geocachers from Hamilton. We signed the logs 1HIK to save on log space. This was our fourth sojourn or ‘mission’ as we like to refer to these trips, to the Tauranga area and even though we had limited time due to family commitments in the evening we still managed to find more the fifty caches and be home before dinner. Credit needs to go to HKCB who came up with the plan and 11hpg11 for driving. As always we had a great time. A big thanks to all the cache owners who placed and maintain the Geocaches we found today.

We were initially pretty confused by this one but a previous log lead us to the right spot. TFTC.

19-Mar-16
Another trip to Tauranga/Papamoa area with a group of Hamilton cachers. Today we planned to clean out a bit more of the area, just one more we keep saying, but new caches keep coming out all the time. Today our team consisted of HKCB, Iammrwalker, Kyb3r and myself. The logs were either signed with our names or HIK1/1HIK to save room. Today I was designated driver and that came along with a new set of challenges but we survived and didn't make too many wrong turns so all is good. A nice early start, left Hamilton at 4.30am so we could be over in time for a night cache plus plenty of other caches before a few of us had to be home for the Hot Air Balloon Night Glow event.

Initially drove by Ziggys tree, thinking Ziggy would have preferred a bigger tree. We turned back and used some coords in the logs to narrow it down and soon had the cache in our sights. No sign of Ziggy today.

#501- Found today while the little guy was asleep in the car! Great park n grab. Yay so hopefully I wasn't to obvious retrieving cache. It's quite precarious, so I hope its in the correct place. Dropped of TB also. Tftc.

16-Mar-16
Fairly quiet down here today - boy the area has grown. Diddnt see Ziggy TFTC SmileSmileSmileSmileSmile

13-Mar-16
Coordinates took me to a house but thankfully I looked at previous logs and decided against looking there. Anyway cool find tftc

29-Feb-16
On the way home from a Geocaching Leap Year event and figured we needed one more cache for the day. Ziggy wasn't home but it was a nice find all the same. The container didn't seem well attached so hopefully it stays firmly in spite of this horrible weather.

Early 2015 a group of Tauranga based cachers started a [BOP Geocaching Facebook Page](https://www.facebook.com/groups/GeocachingBOP/).
92 cachers currently make up this [Closed](https://www.facebook.com/help/220336891328465#What-are-the-privacy-options-for-groups) group and have already organised various events and excursions thanks to the connectivity facebook provides. Please check us out if you haven't already.

#11818. Both GPS units were pointing to a spot well inside private property. Troodles decided to check a tree on the berm before we left, and there was the cache. I took a waypoint at GZ.

26-Feb-16
We had a bike ride around Papamoa yesterday afternoon, but realised we needed to spend more time here so this morning, StreetWalker loaded the bikes onto the car and we headed back. We had mixed results in the morning - 10 finds and 4 DNFs, but the afternoon's tally was much better and we found all caches searched for.
Not an easy find as the co-ords took us to a cabbage tree in someones front garden and I somehow thought this was a cache placed on private property with permission so had a look in the tree. Ooops no Red Face, Ziggy's tree was 20m away on the berm. TFTC.

25-Feb-16
Great instructions made it easy to find my first geocache! Went at dusk and roads were nice and quiet, left a starwars kinder suprise toy in case Ziggy is a fun! Thanks!!

19-Feb-16
Ziggy wasn't there today, maybe all the rain has kept him indoors Wink
Nice cache to find and left a spider for Ziggy to play with !!
Thank you for the cache SmileRed Face

12-Feb-16
Interesting spot for a cache, if you have kids they could be useful as shields. Try to do it at a quiet hour due to the very high muggle rate. TFTC

08-Feb-16
Quick find on an evening of nice geocaching. Nice neighbourhood. Tftc

I parked the car and noticed some activity at the house nearby, not sure if it was the CO or not but once they had left I got out to make a very quick find here. No sign of Ziggy which was a shame, I was looking forward to meeting him.
Thanks for the cache and another smiley Sophilina
Cheers

07-Feb-16
A nice easy find. Took it back to the car to sign the log as there were a heap of muggles around! + a domino, - a small squashed marble. No sign of Ziggy. Must have been too hot for him! Cache replaced safe & well. SL. TFTC!
