20-Apr-19
Found with StreetWalker as we explored Alexandra, letting cache hides be our tour guide Smile.
There was one car parked near GZ with an occupant, but that was all, so no worries with muggles for us. SW found the cache quickly.
An odd sort of sculpture, not my cup of tea. TFTC.

Visiting from Arizona, USA. Continuing our coach tour of New Zealand. Today we're heading from Milford Sound to Wedderburn. With a short break from the drive in Alexandra, we decided to make a run for this cache. It was easily found. Not so easy was the retrieval of the log. Even with our ToTT we struggled to remove it from the container, and struggled again to replace it. It took so much time we almost gave up on replacing it for fear of being late for our coach departure. But we got it back in place (and we were first to sign the new log) and with a bit of a run made it back in time. Nice location and an interesting artwork. Thanks for the cache.

25-Mar-19
New log in place.

Passing by this cache as I headed to Alex to go to some maintenance on discovering gold, then the plan was to go back home via clydevale to check on some of those caches on the trail.

Found this cache post dinner with a second wind of energy on a walk to collect some Geo aches and check out the sights of downtown Alex before I head out of town on the rest of my journey.

I saw the cache first and passed it off to check the hint and sure enough that was it. The boaties left and muggles walked past and I managed to make the find no issue!

I believe this cache is ok following heavy rainfall over last 48 hrs, however roads in the area have been affected. A state of Emergency is still in place - for upto date info on roads go to www.dunedin.govt.nz/road-conditions
A large portion of my caches have been in affected area and I am currently through work/voluenteering have to focus on other post flooding activities.
As I expect it will be at least 1 week until I can do effective maintenance runs to check and replace caches I apologise now if you were hoping to claim this for a dot day/Mary Hyde gold and it is not in its expected state.
I would be grateful for any comments on what needs to be done and help empty water and provide dry logs.

My mission is my first 3 day tramp on Stewart Island. The Seagnoid has Xmas off so we are off on an epic adventure with Zara around the South Island. The Seagnoid is navigator and scribe, Zara and I have teamed up and Im cache logger. We leave Tekapo for Alexandra today.
After Danseys Pass our destination for today is Alexandra to meet up with a war friend of my fathers. We are running very late with Zara disapproving of Danseys Pass and boiling here head off. Get past that and know fuel is getting low but - bugger - no fuel. Luckily had some extra in the boot so loaded it in and thankfully Zara was kind to me and started. Had heard ugly things about diesels running out of fuel. OK lets bag and tag this cache, Cords way out but hints spot on - so easy find. Cheers
