I'm in Brisbane for work and took the opportunity to walk around the city after dark while the rest of the city was watching the State of Origin. I was completely mesmerised by the fairy lights that I neglected to think about geocaching! But on the return trip I had a look and decided to go for the Earth Cache that is here. I had thought these were shell sculptures from a distance, but a closer inspection revealed a little more. What marvellous pieces of earth. Thanks for the lesson Na'wal and thanks for bringing me here. TFTEC
This was a lovely find as hadn’t realised these were here. Thanks for this earth cache and greetings from Cairns
The rain has started but plenty of time to do this one.
Thanks to Na'wal for Granite Eggs

Another find as we scooted our way around town collecting caches and Labs before going to day three of Magic Round.
Cheers

In town for NRL magic round and thought we’d do some caching in between games.
Over the 3 days we managed to find all the nearby earthcaches in between rain squawls and e-scootering from point to point.

Yea walked through here yesterday but didn’t have time to stop. Today we walked back this way on our return from Australia Zoo. Lime Cordiale are playing tonight and there are 100s of people lining up nearby. TFTC.
Together with my sister we visit the family in Australia for the first time. Three weeks Sydney, Brisbane (Goldcoast), the capital Canberra, Melbourne and Yulara (Ayers Rock) were on the schedule. Far away from home, of course, a few geocaches had to be found. Thank you for showing this place and greetings from Germany!

On another "Explore the City" solo adventure, this time on powered transport ("beam me up Scotty" for Star Trek fans ) I stopped to take in the subject/s of this earth cache and found the experience both interesting and informative. Thanks for another one Na'wal
At a recent get together to paddle Hays Inlet, one of the participants mentioned making their next HUGE milestone a unique cache type during the Mega in Townsville…Well if that didn’t plant a little seed that sees me trying to get a couple of hundred caches in two weeks so I can make my little milestone something unique too…
I’m targeting Adventures from New Farm to Southbank and any other caches that I step over on the way…
My second EC of the day… that’s some record for me… thankfully I didn’t have to get my hands, or my new shoes dirty…
My observations have been submitted…

A day on scooters and a wander along the river. Always nice to make a new discovery. Thanks for encouraging us to stop here.
We are fortunate to be spending a few days in Brisbane, and Mrs Dromaniax has lived here in the past and wished to visit a few old spots she used to frequent. So we visited the beautiful Brisbane City Botanical Gardens. Just before the Goodwill Bridge we spotted an Earthcache and stopped to make the required observations. There was a lot happening in the area as it appears this is one of the major spots to pick up and drop off one of the many scooters that are zipping around Brisbane. Thank you for the time and effort in creating and maintaining g this Earthcache Na'wal.
After appointments at the hospital, my daughter Pinkypie05 and myself decided to do this cache. Nice walk around here. I didn’t know these existed. Answers sent to the CO. TFTC!
We took advantage of the public holiday to find some city caches today. Starting in Fortitude Valley, we completed an 11km triangle, walking down to Southbank, across to the city botanic gardens and back along the river to our start point. Although we’ve been past here before, we’ve never stopped to have a look so thanks for encouraging us to do so. Answers have been sent to the CO. TFTC Na'wal
Finally catching up on back logs. Family day out as Team B.

Been past these rocks many, many times but never stopped to appreciate them. Thanks for bringing us here. Such a peaceful area, especially during quiet covid times.
Although I have passed by here several times in the past few weeks I have not stopped to admire & appreciate this area. Thank you for encouraging me to stop & reflect
Visited the botanic gardens and found the ultra cool granite eggs. Answers sent to CO. TFTC
Beautiful picturesque area. Up on holiday from Melbourne, weather is nice enough to walk around in a tshirt.
Found and enjoyed while waiting for husband to download the scooter app. We are anchored in the river and are enjoying exploring Brisbane. TFTC
I’ve passed this place many times without stopping. As I stand here, I listen to the highway traffic humming and cyclists’ bikes clicking. It’s almost peaceful.

Cache 7416 on 4 Apr 2021.
Finally, a real geocaching mission with an airplane flight, nights away, so many caches on the list and a road trip home! Flew up from CBR on 1 April with TikvaNZ to join Fox in Jox for a 5 day full-on mission centred around attending the Dayboro Mega event. Plan is to cache in around BNE, targeting old caches, virtuals, LBHs, Wherigos, DT combinations and anything else that takes our fancy and then start heading home Monday via as many counties as we can squeeze in. We have so many caches on the list we are unlikely to get them all, but we will try our best! Don’t care if it rains or snows - QLD here we come!

Dayboro QLD Mega - Day Four:
The fourth day of our mega road trip with buhfuhguh!
Another 12+ hour day of caching, one of the highlights was finding nine Earthcaches, I am sure that is a daily record for me! Just crazy! A whole bunch of challenges, wherigos, virtuals, letterbox's and Australia's most Eastern cache were also good to grab. A very long but eventful day!
We started in Casino, NSW at 7am and finished up in Bray Park, QLD at 10pm completely buggered! Thanks to all the CO's

This Cache:
An interesting set of "Granite Eggs" at GZ! A great spot to visit and explore the surroundings, this Earthcache gave us an excuse to do so!
Wandered around, answered the questions, which buhfuhguh has sent off to the CO.
Many thanks for bringing us here

On a trip north to get to Dayboro with Kittykatch and Barb2e. We are now in Brisbane and on e-bikes. Looking forward to exploring. The rain made it very difficult to make a decision on the best way to go but the coast highway is open so this is the way we are going. Looking forward to seeing new country.

A nice place to stop on today's adventure around Southbank and the botanic gardens. Answers sent to owner. TFTC. Unfortunately they weren't as comfy to sit on as I hoped but plenty of grass and they are quite sweet.
Really nice little earth cache. My geokid loved finding out about these and swore they were dinosaur eggs. He also enjoyed climbing all over them. Thanks for the wonderful information - it’s so good to just stop and see the little details we so often miss. Thank you!

Today Fangsoki and I had a goal to chase down a few Earthcaches, and we decided a trip in to the city would help with that. It is usually an area I try to avoid, preferring the peace of the burbs or further away than the bustle of the city.
At least there are a couple of spots that are a little less “city” and this was one of those, our last spot to visit in here for the morning.
Parking the car under the freeway, we wandered over to get a good look at these eggs. One good thing about Earthcaches in the city is that no one is concerned about someone seeming to be a bit of an arty type checking out an art install and taking photos. Meaning we didn’t have to be too concerned about the bustle of muggles walking and riding various modes of transport here.
I was surprised to find out this install was actually by the same artist as one of today’s previous Earthcaches too - although similar material has been used, it differed greatly from both that install and another one by the same artist I had seen elsewhere a while back now.
Thanks for the Earthcache Na'wal.

The last earthcache for 1MinnieMoo and I today.
We paid a princely sum of 10 bucks to park nearby (probably should have just parked illegally like everyone else) and made our way toward GZ.
We collected our clues and took photos. An interesting little area indeed. We have submitted our answers. TFTEC Na'wal

Spent a morning completing the six Earthcaches currently in the greater city area. Three and a half hours well spent and over 10 kilometres on foot.
Always nice to visit this area of the river and reminisce of younger days spent at the nearby University.
These 'Granite Eggs' are a cool little feature adding interest to this corner.

Such a pretty area with the nearby fairy trees. I enjoyed the geology lesson. Took me back to first year uni. Wish I could remember more of the course! Cheers
I recently visited this end of town and stopped to admire the Granite Eggs. Very interesting objects, I think the couple sitting on the seat under the tree thought I was a little odd wondering around touching them all.

Well, I'm on a bit of an earth cache hunt at the moment. You see, there is this snowflake challenge... enough said!
I am more than familiar with these gardens, having worked up the hill for many years, and using this very spot as a lunch time escape. I had no idea an earth cache had popped up here until I went searching for them today.
Was great to get out and about, and enjoy the sunshine - outside of the typical hustle and bustle of a weekday.
Thanks for taking me back here. Answers have been sent.

After work I decided to take my bike here and find a few caches. Wow I got a nice surprise at gz. I bet people just ride on by without noticing. This is what geocaching is all about taking you to places you don't know about or notice. Sent answer to co. Thanks for taking me here .Great end to the week of work. Giving it a FP FOR all the fun

Out for a bit of caching fun with grannysmith1947 and Brislions. After finding a nearby cache, we headed to this earthcache. Even though both my caching buddies had been here previously, they were happy to rest up while I took photos so I could answer the questions here. Thanks or bringing me here, Na'wal and TFTC

Arrived 4 am this morning and we are feeling a bit tired. However a nice breakfast and walk in the park is a perfect thing to do.
Our adventure really started a couple of years ago with our cruise booking and the savings plan. This year we arrived Feb 6 and had three days to explore Sydney before cruising with Kteeeee and Mr. Kteeeeee, MissPeach13 and MrPeach13 and WRTagalong. signed CCC. We had a great trip with no cases of Co-vid19. We arrived back to Sydney Mid march. The others flew home. WRT and I continued on. We had some time in Brisbane and then cut our trip short as the virus was causing too many challenges and our Country called us home. We stayed quiet and flew out the 25th arriving to a ghost city in Vancouver.
These caches are only being logged now that I am hooked up to the computer and I can find the caches I missed logging. If I have made an error please let me know if something seems wrong as time has passed and my memory is not what it used to be.
Thank you to all the Aussies who set out these caches, maintained them and to the Aussies who offered us shelter and long term shelter if we could not get home. If I had to be stuck anywhere in the world I would choose Australia!

Greetings from Scotland. We are only in Brisbane for a couple of days, unfortunately. Today we decided to head into the city, pick up a few caches, and try a set of Labs. We started with a stroll along the South Bank and took a walk across Goodwill Bridge. We arrived at this earthcache, studied the rocks and gathered our answers. It was unusual to come across this garden of stones and the area was quite quiet so we could take our time. We have sent our observations off to the CO. We loved the Mangrove trees nearby. They were spectacular and we were surprised to see them.

It's been a long day today! We started out in Caloundra, headed to the Glass House Mountains for a BBQ, then came down to Brisbane for a short night in a hostel. After repacking the suitcase, I took GeoMum out to South Bank and the Botanic Gardens for a lovely night-time walk and possum-tracking!
I used to live in Brisbane, so this is a place I've been to many many times. However, I never solved this Earth cache. Well it all worked out well, because it was the perfect cache to grab tonight.
Now it's back to the hostel, and ready for an early morning flight to Melbourne! TFTC.

After a morning flight from Townsville and an afternoon visiting colleagues, Mr CNQ wandered into the city from Boggo Rd and collected a few caches along the way.
