Logs
I was in the area to attend the 21s Birthday celebration event of the first ever event held in Victoria.
I have collected some of the Yorick Odyssey clues on previous trips up this way and gathered a few more today.
The rain decided to come down in the afternoon just as I was heading off to look for this one but that wasn’t going to stop me from finding it.
Found somewhere safe to park and off I went.
Soon located the treasure chest and was able to add my name to the log.
A fav goes out to you for the great series.
Thanks mudbrick TFTC.

After a very rainy walk in the park, and some 21st birthday cake, this cache was a great fun find to the series.
Found on a trip to Mexico City from the town north of the border….
Thanks mudbrick and clear skies from TeamAstro. ️ Cache the planet!

Still got some time up our sleeve so this was another one that I managed. Thanks for this great series.
It was an early start to the morning. After a breakfast event it was off to search the bush for Yorick! I joined a crew of explorers making their way on and off the trails to find this series of caches.
With lunch over I teamed up with GemmaSistema and we joined OzHockeyChick, chook and geoturtle37 for some further caches. We made it back to the car park and switched back to all our own GeoVehicles and the began the slow journey out past the final caches of the trail. Some great bonus caches to finish this off.
Thanks mudbrick for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Well, we've just celebrated the twentieth anniversary of that first event, and once everyone else had bundled into their cars to head off to the next adventure, I still had to get back to where I'd parked mine.
Now, of course there were offers of a lift, but I had a few more caches to visit on the way.
I could say there's no sense in doing the rest of this series without grabbing the prize of the final pair of caches, but it'd be a lie. The series more than holds its own regardless.
However... this is in a league of its own. A fantastic bit of craftsmanship, mudbrick, and a treasure that was totally worth seeking.

A long overdue day out with Geoturtle37, exploring more of Lerdy with Chook(‘n’chunk). Met up with RoamingHowie and GemmaSistema to go find some solved puzzles nearby. Once we returned to our respective cars , we made our way here to add our names to the logbook.
A top series! Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, mudbrick A fav point heading your way!

After some events and a massive hike today nearby I teamed up with chooknchunk, OzHockeyChick, RoamingHowie and GeoTurtle37 to nabbed some solved caches and some trads. We hit the two finals up of Yorick on the way out before dusk! Loved this one. Fav added. Thanks for the cache and adventure!
Yippeee -no disappointments and all approached with anticipation - the planets aligned and I made the trek from afar, bunked in the girliemobile for the night at Pykes and then headed to the brekky event followed by a tramp in the bush to find these fab Yoricks caches and then to the grand finale ’20 year celebration event’. This whole series has been totally rewarding and impressive. TFTC and the superb planning that has been created for our enjoyment. An odyssey indeed.
Thoroughly enjoyed completing this sereis today. Thanks so much for all of the work you have put into themeing this series mudbrick, it certainly kept us amused. A favourite from me.
Found with our large expedition group. The log was signed 'The Event Crew'. This is an excellent series with very well themed caches. Thank you mudbrick.

A day to find out how many Yoricks there really are around this area.
I always thought there was only one, but I seem to be incorrect.
The day started at dawn (not so early this time of the year), and continued with a nice walk and two events.
A lovely day for a good walk, good companions, and excellent caches.
I have not finished the whole series, so I needed some help with some of the clues.
But I collected enough to now find the bonus finals, this was the first.
An very well constructed container, a suitable final.
Thanks, Robmc.

After a great mornings hike around the hills finding Yorick's caches we had now arrived at the second event but before we got settled we had to go back to where the first event was to collect a few cars but on the way we stopped off at this one to make the find.
Another well presented cache that didn't take long to find.
**Thanks to mudbrick for placing this cache.**

Although I haven't found all of the caches in this series yet, I was with someone who had the information required to locate GZ. After enjoying the lunch event at O'Briens Crossing, we stopped here and signed the log.
Once again I was blown away by the quality of this cache. A favourite point from me.
Thanks mudbrick. I hope you feeling the appreciation from us cachers.

Found and signed log with dalerious after completing the entire Yorick series . This Saturday proved to be a corker. We even were privileged enough to walk the walk with the CO of these masterfully engineered caches. Human anatomy post mortem has always been an interest of mine, and I have always wanted to donate my body to science, to be utilised in any way, shape or form; hopefully ending up as a display skeleton. Maybe the CO of these caches could use my mortal remains for an upcoming cache .
These two mystery caches were a fitting culmination to a series of trads that truly deserve a favourite point for each and every one of them.
Here hung those lips that I have kissed I know not how oft. —Where be your gibes now? Your gambols? Your songs?
Thank you mudbrick for a most enjoyable adventure.

Our adventures with Yorick actually began back in May 2017, after a Pykes Creek adventure.
As soon as we learnt of today’s plans we were determined not to be alone trekking through the forest in search of more of the cleverly constructed caches containing remnants of the ghoulish nature of the legendary characters.
A somewhat early start from home (5:30am) found us gathering with a number of other intrepid cachers from near and far. Together we trekked over, under and around for about four hours, discovering and logging caches along the way as 'Event Crew' as we made our way through the forest.
What an awesome series!
Thanks mudbrick for this amazing series.

Oh my gosh, what a way to finish a fantastic series. This cache was great and I will never be able to drive past this vicinity again without thinking of Yorick's demise and loss of fortune...lol. Thank you so much for a wonderful series. Completed as a group and celebrating 20 years of caching in Victoria. Hope I'm able to attend the next 20 years celebration
Another creative and fun hide to finish off this fantastic series. It is caches like this that keep me interested in the game. Thanks for the days of fun I’ve had out here exploring this area Mudbrick. A definite FP from me.
If I thought that this one's partner was well constructed, this was even better still. Having solved the 'problem' quite some time ago following a couple of bushwalks around this area, I stopped by to grab these two if I could. This was second and was another nice quick find at 16:20.
Another very well constructed container that earns a fave point from me.
TNLNSL, although our Happy New Year to the cache geocoin had a visit to mark its first find of 2019 . Thanks again mudbrick.

After completing a few remaining caches on Square Bottle track we were sitting on #1499. Another cache to tick off #1500 in this lovely area had to be done. Having solved this some time ago Crackers said lets go for this one, it wasn't too far away.
Wow, so glad we did! A truly awesome cache. Love the work that has gone into this and the series.
A FP for us
Thanks Mudbrick.

What a way to finish off a great series. Had the co-ords for this one for a while and today I came to tick it off the list. Being a mudbrick cache it was always going to be a fun find, and he was up to his usual tricks of the unusual. Brilliant cache. A favorite point.

This hide is an absolute gem - my fave for the series.
I had a fantastic day out here, many thanks Muddy for the great series and walk you have taken me on. Both myself and the pooch thoroughly enjoyed it. Next to get the young one out here.
As for the rest - pictures speak louder than words! Thanks once more mate for all your efforts!

I was unable to sign the log as the cache had fallen into a hole and was unable to get it out. So I'm not claiming this as a find. I think the previous finders had put it back in a bit too far.
On my way home from the 15 years event grabbed this one
after collecting the clues on my way to the event.
Well done Fav added. Thanks mudbrick FTC.

The last cache of the day for me after being at the event. An easy find along with Muzza and Biggles Bear, although the logbook container is obviously not quite reachable and a replacement log has been put in place. I have to say many thanks to mudbrick for the effort that has clearly been put into a fun set of caches in great country. I will have to come back for the second half one day.
We found your cache Yorick's odyssey 23. Dead mans chest. after the event nearby... with a little help from our freinds ... ei we sprung some people at the cache, signed the log then found out it was a puzzle.... we will do the corresponding caches though!
Thanks mudbrick for the cache!
Thanks mudbrick for the cache!
Found with Muzza and Alansee after the 15 year reunion event. Thanks for the series, clearly lots of work went into the caches.
Logging with permission from the CO. Found with FUF009 after attending the event nearby. Well this was one hell of a cache! The amount of work that went into making it is impressive. Actually today was a pretty good caching day. A high standard of finds. This cache is definitely a favorite. Tftc
Find # 4368
Found with sharkiefan.
Logging with permission of CO
After attending the "15 Years of Events in Victoria" event, We started caching out way back to the City. (yep the long way)
With all info needed we managed to make this find before leaving the bush. Only we could not get to the log to put our names in it, as it was in a little too far.
But this did not take away from the great construction that we found. so glad we could make the find on this one. Truly a job done well here. Fave for sure.

I had been interested in coming out this way to tackle the Yorrick series for a while but never had the time or excuse to be here. When I saw the nearby 15 years event published and had a free day I locked it into the calendar. After picking up a couple on the way into the event and then spending time chatting with other cachers the time came to set off for the rest of them on foot. In total it took me about 3 hours to do the circuit, a beautiful and at times challenging walk with plenty of interesting containers and hides along the way. A great deal of time and effort has gone into scouting these locations and then creating the hides for everyone to enjoying finding them.
Stopped to pick this one up on the way out after a great day. Thanks for the fantastic series mudbrick.

Biggles Bear and I did all the initial caches (1 - 22) almost a year to the day, but left the calculations and final two puzzles to a later date. That day was today. So after leaving the nearby 15 year anniversary event, BB #2 and Alansee headed here for a quick find.
The log is no longer accessible, but an earlier finder had left a piece of paper to serve as a temporary log. Great cache container. Well done on the series. I'll give it a favourite for all the work gone into it.

We collected the required numbers for this final yesterday, on the way to the 15 Years of Events event held at O'Briens Crossing today. We camped overnight last night (brrrrrr) and found this final on the way home. Yet another fitting and creative cache! The original log has slipped down beyond reach inside the larger container and we tried for about 15 minutes with the tools that we had in the car to see if we could retrieve it. But alas poor Yorick, we could not. There was already another piece of paper in there from a previous cacher today, so we ended up signing that too. We wish we could give a favourite point for every cache that made up this first bonus, but we will definitely give one here. We look forward to returning one day to complete the second part. Thank you mudbrick for a really well thought out and fun series. It was truly entertaining as well as taking us to some lovely areas of the Lerderderg. Thanks again.

As the fitter Triton had already done the other half of this series, we took it upon ourselves to finish it off today and lay claim to the pre signed finals. The other half was real grateful for the opportunity to witness first hand the imaginative clever hides of this series for herself. Starting at number 1 we worked our way through to number 8, enjoying the hides and having a laugh or 2 at the expense of poor ole' YORICK! We also noted that all hides had safe pull offs for the geomobile to park while searching for the close by caches.
**Thanks mudbrick for an excellent series , you always amaze us with your creative hides.**
A well deserved favourite added.

I was finally able to complete this great series after collecting all the clues in the previous caches. I was ok with the numbers but I still mucked them up and was searching elsewhere. Hmmm has it gone or is it me. Yep it was me, back to the car and i started again. Bingo, mistake found, and cache located. Another great housing [^] Stamped and returned as found.

Having previously completed a few of this series, Bogonhazy, the geo dogs and I decided to take advantage of the beautiful day and headed to O'Briens Crossing for a bbq and a geo-adventure. What a day it was. Relaxing, exhausting and exciting. I didn't think I had it in me to complete the series. The first part nearly killed my unfit body but after we got going the views, beautiful country side and the adventure made the 2 1/2 hr trek exhilarating. We made a few wrong turns but it just added to the adventure. Cliff descents, rock climbs and even a tree crossing - all unnecessary but so much fun. The dogs, BH and I all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and even though I was cursing your name at a few points, definitely my favourite bush adventure to date. Thanks Muddy for another fantastic series. Love your work xx
After doing the previous 8 caches from the road, Leetalicious and I grabbed the two geodogs, Tess and Worf, and decided to make a day of it and head to O'Brien's Crossing to do the rest. We started with the little gas cooker grilling up a steak sandwich at the crossing and a cold drink each, then packed it all up and off we went.
A tough first section got the heart racing before it levels out to a well defined track on relatively level terrain. Each and every cache has it's trademark Muddie signature. You are guaranteed a quick find because they're huge and with accurate coords, and a smile as you unveil the cover to reveal another well themed hilarious take on poor Yorick.
A fabulous walk that involved 2 river crossings, an amazing tunnel, an old hut, and almost too many breathtaking views of the river and surrounds. 2 1/2 hrs of pure exhilaration in a wonderful part of the state so close to where we live.
Adding a fave point to all of these, really appreciate the thought and effort you put into all your caches Graeme. These are the types of caches that make you fall in love with our game.
Cheers Phil

AAhh Lerderderg... how I missed thee... It has been way too long since I have hiked here and today I succumbed to the call of the cache !! I had driven and claimed the first 8, but I was salivating to stretch the legs and finish this series. It was a bit of a change today, as I usually hike solo. Today I had the pleasure of hiking with Chris from The_Tritonz. With the GPS loaded and the sun shining we set off on our journey into the unknown.
Well here we are. With all of the previous hides under our belt, we arrive at the dead mans chest. As it turns out, it is quite a bountiful chest !! A real piece of artwork here, a top effort. A huge fave point from me. TFTC mudbrick

Suscoe decided to have a day out in the Bacchus Marsh and beyond regions today. It was a pleasant day, cool to mild with a bit of cloud covering the sky for most of the day.
At least it was dry and we did enjoy our wanderings here and there.
We like this part of the world but sadly don't get up this way often enough.
The roads were pretty quiet today all the way around from home back to home again.
This was out last find in this series for today.
We had collected the info and sorted out the probable area.
A short search had the cache in hand.
Oh we had to do that!!!!!!!!!!!
Log signed and we had a laugh.
Thanks to mudbrick for this puzzle, most enjoyable and a favourite for the work on display.

A great final cache as reward for all the clues found and deciphered.
I ended up walking to this one as part of the big circuit as I didn't realise that I might have driven close to it on the way out. Oh well I needed the exercise I told myself!
A lovely chest full of goodies though at this stage I just wanted the logbook!

Back at the car for afternoon tea we crunch the numbers and punch the numbers in the machine.
Hmmm, a bit further away than expected, but found rather easily.
Nice chest you have there.

Hmmm, a bit further away than expected, but found rather easily.

Almost done! Signed the log in this bonus cache and had the coords for the very final one loaded up and ready to go. Just 1 more left after this!
Doubled back to get this as you know. PAF helped here too. Wouldn't mind this chest and all its contents. A very nice bonus reward for the work to get to here.
Another fav coming your way for all your work too.

A wonderful day of caching - 5 hours in the Lerderderg, finding 24 new Mudbrick caches .
After finding all 22 trads in the series it was back to O'Brien's crossing to assemble the co-ordinates for the 2 bonus caches. After a little while (okay, a long while as I had been a little unprepared when leaving home earlier ) I had some numbers punched into the GPSr. A short drive later and the well-stocked dead man's chest was opened.
Thanks for the entertaining series and these bonus mysteries, Mudbrick.
