Found it , not where I was expecting. Could do with a new log as it was wet. Tftc
After the Logan event, Shazzar66 and I headed off to do one of the new wherigos. We decided to leave one of our cars close to the motorway and near to this cache. Some branches of the tree have been pruned so it is harder than usual to climb but Shazzar66 scampered up, signed and replaced as found for us both. Tftc
Day two - GCLOGAN Friday - Here We GoAfter the event I teamed up with Kolor for the WIG. We headed here first to park up one of the cars and make our way to the start.Since we stopped here it was only fitting to grab this cache. Once spotted, it was a quick climb and sign.I found your cache, Moreland Park - Parks and Recreation Series today. This is my 3363 find.RoddyC, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Obi and myself visited this location but had no one to climb this one. Sadly probably going to skip this one all together for now.
Need a ladder? Nahh not for me I climbed all the way to the cache whilst nearly weeing myself
I was looking for a telephone in a tree today, or somewhere near a tree at least. This one looked good and having read the comments I came prepared with my ladder. But the park was occupied and I'm not sure my standard size ladder would be enough to get me up high enough anyway. It's sad that there's no branches left to climb. I'll have to try again another day.
This cache now requires a ladder as all the limbs for climbing on have been removed.
After attending the WWFM XX Come Fly with Me event at Springwood today, I am revisiting a few caches that I have DNF'ed in the past.
I remember coming to this cache on a weekday and this area was busy. Thought about climbing but gave it a miss.
Today, no-one was around, so had a look and decided the TOTT was the way to go. Deployed the ladder and made my way up to the cache. Signed the log then returned as found.
Happy to have this one off my list.

Out for the day with nikid1 to start getting points for the souvenir. As this was a tree climb the signing duty fell to the adventurous one of our caching team! Luckily we had a handy TOTT in the car to make the job much easier & our names were soon in the log. Thanks for the cache RoddyC

Out for a morning of caching with KerriMG.
Headed to the wrong tree at first but once we moved on KerriMG spotted it up there.
This tree has had a good prune so it would be difficult to climb. Luckily we had a TOTT in the car. So with that set up, up I went for an easy retrieval.

On my way to the coast for the night I popped past and claimed this cache that eluded me last week as I didn’t have my TOTT on hand.
At the time of the attempt the coast was clear on the assent but whilst trying to remove the log a grandmother and daughter arrived and I sheepishly concluded my nefarious activity, made my mark and quickly replaced the cache to its hanging place.
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.
Cheers

Access to the cache was a bit dodgy. And unscrewing with one hand! Thanks for the fun RoddyC.
Log book with missing so we have replaced with a fresh one. thanks for placing this cache
I walked around one tree, searched and climbed. Then decided to check another and spotted it straight away. A short climb and upon opening the cache, no log! Sorry no spares on me to replace as I did not have my caching bag on me. Tftc
By now it was well past lunch, probably more like whatever brunch is in the afternoon but we were all starving from our morning walks around the koala bush land so instead of heading home we grabbed some HJ's from around the corner and headed here to take a seat.
Once everything was gobbled down I told the kids there was a cache in one of these trees and off they went. Up and down every tree they could until they found it without a gps.
Awesome Father's Day, thanks roddyc

Steel cap work shoes aren't the best for climbing but I got it with guidance from below from a non climbing geo-step-daughter. TFTC RoddyC from the Jester-kiwi and the Princess
Tuftc. Our first climbing one but I chose not to do it. I was going to come back another day as it was just before the sun setying and there was not a lot of light. My geostepdad was stubborn and chose to go up anyway. After a bit of guidance and careful feet and hand placement, he had it in hand. This one gives me the last points I needed for the first labyrinth and helped towards my geostepdad's number.
Nice to be caching in an area we are unfamiliar with. Thanks Roddyc. Got the big tool out for this ones.
A quick climb up and sign. Thanks to RoddyC for placing this cache.

Peppa did the destination. I did the driving. Giraffe did the climbing. 2manytrailers came along for the ride (as usual ). The team are on a roll
Good find by Peppa in this nice little park.
So back at the tree climbing gig.
Out with PirateLinda and Peppa and 2MT

Lovely day out as pirate Linda and I volunteered giraffe 18 for the job of climbing the tree. Giraffe 18 made it look easy as Peppa pirate Linda and I watched on
Out for a day of Friday caching with the whole crew, and with no grand plan, we've landed in Springwood... Knowing our resident tree climber was going to be with us, I chose this as stop number 2 for the day...
A couple of circuits and I spotted the cache and giraffe18 did the ascending... TFTC... just the one muggle in the vicinity sitting in the back of their car enjoying a break in the car park over there....

Finally got to this one today. I have been coming back to this every so often on a day off but always found that someone else was in the park so I could not search for it. There was a worker having food but he left as I arrived. Happy to have this as my 201st find.
On completion of todays CITO and a nice catchup for brunch with geo friends I thought I'd look for this one on my way home.
Not fazed by the previous DNF, I still thought it was worth a look. Noting that it was a tree climb I couldn't see anything looking from the ground up, so up I went and began my search. It wasn't until I turned my back whilst up there and being at a better angle was the cache finally spotted.
Log signed and I must say this was a nice enough tree climb without the use of a ToT and a good cache placement.

Sent my Mr and mini Mister 12 up multiple trees due to the navigator jumping around but still no luck..
Today is not my day for finding things. Got the right tree, from what I know, but did not get high enough me thinks.
cleaning up a couple of greenies in the springwood area
no problem with this one today

With a few hours spare, I headed south to find a few caches and stretch the legs. Most targeted caches were quickly located making for a fun morning out. A short clamber and the cache was easily located.

Ahhh I love a good tree climb, quickly made my way up and hung out singing the log. with Krcamber directing me to get back down. TFTC
Have been here before but has always been too busy to make the climb. Today I had my climbing buddy reezielou with me and no one around so up she went to make the grab with no issues. TFTC!
Came here months ago on a rainy day and didn't think it was the best idea to try for GZ. Back today on a pleasant, sunny afternoon and feeling more daring. Blocked out the biting bugs and scurried up to GZ. Just managed to reach the cache and my limited reach made for a challenge to re-screw the cache. Great fun! TFTC!

To the day 7 months since the last find. Was a bit concerned over a muggle on a phone and smoke break. But she headed for the swings. I did my childish thing here.

Today wad the chance to get some caches in this are done. Since we live in Brisbane, we have never done any geocaching around here – just because we live on the other side and for some reasons other ideas come up on the limited time caching together. As geowife is somewhere far north for work, I can do my own thing for a week and decided to get onto this area and clear some caches in RoddyC’s backyard.
It was raining and I was just by myself... All good with the climb but next time I should play safe.
Thanks for the fun!

Ridiculously high and far too dangerous in my view
Spotted it but did not make attempt to retrieve - cannot think why Roddy C would think that was fun - perhaps he’s 12

The hint is not a hint at all, just a suggestion. It was obvious from previous logs that you needed to climb to get the cache - difficult to see from ground. I touched it but couldn’t open so left as is and scaled down to a safer place. Lucky I used to love climbing trees as a youngster. TFTC
Cache spotted and was able to get to the second last fork before descending back down. I don't have the reach to make it to the next fork and remove the cache...thanks for the climb, though
Was out and about in Springwood today and thought of finding a cache . I saw this cache on the map and headed straight for it. There was not one muggle in sight so commencing the search was a breeze. After searching and looking up and down, left to right the cache was soon spotted . Thanks for the cache RoddyC . TFTC!!
Today’s plan was to get a few caches to accumulate more of the souvenirs available for the Hidden Creatures challenge. Met up with gunnie69 at Logan Central to continue our plan for the day. The journey today made our way form Logan Central down to the Loganholme Hyperdome.
Cache 4 of 27 for the day.
Thanks RoddyC for the hunt and the cache!

Finding creatures with Ghostgums, we had a scout around for this one in what we thought was the obvious areas, but no cache. After ruling out a number of spots, Ghostgums checked the hint... Hmm, that didn't help, but the terrain rating told the story. A change in approach, GG spotted the container and I headed in (well, maybe not in) for extraction...
Nice and easy when in the right location, but the log was very wet. thankfully, I had the right kind of pen with me and etched our details. All back in place, I made my way back to the starting point and we continued to the next.
Log could use replacement and sadly, not one with me today.
Cheers RoddyC.

At the end of a trip on the way back south we stopped nearby for breakfast at a certain establishment. Then I saw that there was a cache in the park nearby. Read the hint (never read that as a hint before!) but as other cachers have noted, it wasn't easy to obtain the log. This might need a look by the CO for some maintenance. Then it was back on the road to continue the journey. Found with SmudgeyCat DG. TFTH
I managed to scale the tree to reach the cache in my Crocs, not the best of footwear for tree climbing. This is when the trouble began, first I could not extract the log from the cyclinder but I was able to etch out an R with the pen on the side of the log. Next challenge was to now reassemble the bison tube. This proved somewhat of a challenge as I could not get the right angle. Eventually I got the thread to take but slipped a in the process. Spooked by this ordeal I was not able to ensure the cache was fulled screwed back in place. I'm sure the next finder can rectify the issue.

Having stopped for soft serves at the nearby McDonalds (in my day, they used to be only 30 cents ), we decided to check out the neighbourhood caches. We hadn’t noticed the terrain rating until we actually got here and then read the hint. Thankfully, He-Squirrel was feeling brave, so up he scrambled, then the cache was quickly sighted, both from above and now below, and logbook signed.
My scribble is barely legible with the pen not working so i included a picture. Willpunkey also did the climb
Knew I had to come back with TeamLesslar #2 to get this one!

Found it, but not dressed for climbing and Team Lesslar#4 is perhaps too young to climb this tree. Might need to come back with Team Lesslar #2 some time if we want to make an entry in the log.

TFTC...11/9/17. Me, bennyboppers and misssusan79 out for depleted Tough Mothers suburban visit. Ooh, unexpected but achievable.
Luckily I was out with the tough mothers today as this was definitely my kind of retrieval. Found with REMSJW and bennyboppers
Having a few hours caching with IolantheK. We finally spotted where it was hiding and IolantheK took on the task of getting to the cache. Luckily it was quiet at the park today so climbers didn't attract any attention. Thanks RoddyC.
Out with joojoo57 for a few hours today.
As we neared GZ I went straight to the obvious thing and was searching it pretty thoroughly, and it wasn't until joojoo pointed out the T-rating that I realised my mistake Well, how about we have a look at that most appropriate spot over there! While joojoo looked with her eyes, I went and got a bit closer, and soon saw the cache, quickly realising I needed to get about 2 metres higher A nice easy climb really TFTC, RoddyC.

Over from NZ visiting and set out this morning for some local caches. Concentrating on these park series ones, as they seem to be well thought out and crafted. Then I noticed that this one would probably involve climbing, something I am not keen on doing in public parks.
Got to GZ and GPS was jumping around a little, but figured out which tree the cache should be in. At first I couldn't spot the cache and there was no way I was climbing anything, without having seen what I was after first.
Eventually, after about 5 minutes, I spotted the tricky cache, and decided that it looked a possibility for an aging cacher and as there were zero muggles about, it was now or never. Scaled the heights and was dreading dropping the log or a part of the cache, but managed to get it signed and replaced without any hiccups.

Selva Girls and I had met up with the lovely CO's and they had kindly assisted with some mob cache numbers this afternoon. Mr RoddyC, knowing I needed to keep my terrain up for an upcoming challenge, suggested one of his nearby tree climbs, so off we went Walking toward gz Mrs RoddyC said "can you see it?"...."how mean are you?" I replied, before spotting the cache. Oh. That mean. Up I went with my usual fairy elephant grace (to quote Selva Girls) and soon the log was signed. Thanks for the cache, the fun and the moral support Mr&Mrs RoddyC. Looking forward to some caching fun again soon
After finding a nearby mystery cache, we made our way to this one. The cache was quickly spotted. Stortigirls made her way up and added our names to the log. TFTC
I had to take a detour to get to a spot where I could park close to the cache.
I headed over to the area while there were council workers within sight. I spotted the cache but there is no way that I will be getting up there.

Gotcha !!! Now that's the type of challenging cache I enjoy. First the CO organises with Council to dig up one of the streets near GZ meaning a detour was needed. Then with no consideration for the Aged and infirm he places the cache in a #^%&!@ of a position just so he can give it a 3.5 T rating meaning that Mr Temingi had to get to GZ on his own without help from Mrs Temingi.
Never the less a Fav. Pt. from us today TFTC

The first DNF for the day - or rather, Could-not-reach. Chickened out at the last stretch. Should I start carrying a chainsaw in my car?...
Trying to complete the month of May challenge. Interesting puzzle. Never thought or encountered such symbols!
Parked 30m away. Quick grab after looking at the T rating! Didn't realize it's easier with shoes on!.
All good with this cache.
TFTC. Hope to see you later RoddyC.

With a souvenir up for grabs and a DNF on my target cache I was on to plan B. Luckily I had parked a bit far away for this one. There was a muggle at the far picnic table, which worked in my favour. I had my Mum with me, so she opted to stay near the car and have a smoke.
With Mum just out of sight I was able to search for this one without any worries. I did not see it at first, but the GPSr was pretty sure of GZ. Some adjustments were made and I spotted it.
A quick check that I was out of Mum's view and off I went.
Thanks for the fun cache and the souvenir.

Souvenir weekend. This find is to claim the souvenir for the celebration of 3 million hidden caches on Earth. This is why I do not find these local micros as soon as published...I leave them for these kind of awards when I just don't really feel like going geocaching. Quick parky located cache..log signed although a bit wonky because I forgot to take my glasses with me and it was a bit difficult hanging on and trying to see the tiny lines on the log sheet, got there in the end. I think the ladies sitting in the shelter in the park would have thought I was a master of disappearing acts.....oh where did that lady go she was there a minute a go, and wallah she is back...Just like magic...How much can a koala bare???....lol..stopped in and had a feed at Hungry Jacks. By the way if anyone parks at the shops at the back of the park the stupid gate to the bridge is locked on weekends and you will have to walk around the creek. It is also locked Mon to Friday from 6pm to 6am. TFTC roddyC..you must have bought a 50 pack of those things.
I made a quick excursion to the bank in the early afternoon and was studying this cache as it was the closest to the office that was unfound. On the drive back I made a detour to GZ to at least check the form guide so to speak. I was in my work clothes but reading some past logs, I noticed that this hadn't stopped others having a crack. I finally spotted the hide and thought I should at least try. I remember an old teacher of mine saying "do, or do not, there is no try", but that was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. No backing out now.
I scaled the tree full of confidence and got to the cache unscathed. As I was undoing it I noticed that I had the cache lid in hand (which was fixed to the tree anyway) but the rest of the cache and log had fallen to the ground. Cracker! Down I go to sign the log and I then enjoyed the pleasure of climbing this tree again to put everything back in place. There is nothing like a climb in slacks and leather shoes. Now back to the office to check out other caches in this series. tftc
