5 October 2024 12:08pmSpotted the cache almost as soon as I was close by (to be honest, I think it was just the right angle that I happened to be on).Cache description is very right, there was quite a bit of foot traffic around this area.12:15pm lucky for me it didn't take too long for the traffic to clear. Retrieved, signed and replaced the log. Thanks for the cache.
Was passing through Woodford and stopped for some lunch, just happened to be just up the road from the cache. After a quick hunt, I had found it but had to wait for muggles to clear be fore retrieval.Found 22/09/24. T.F.T.C
Last Friday we stopped here to see if we could find this cache but people were setting up for the community market so we gave it away. Today we arrived with very few people around - so we started the search by looking around and down. After reading previous logs ( thanks ___claret71) I soon realised our error. So while the cars were not stopped at the lights near by - I was able to stand up and find the cache. TFTC and for bringing us here BRBE53.
We had a look the other day but as a market was setting up we left disappointed. We were coming through town today and thought we would have another try. After a bit of a search and with help from a previous log we managed a find. TFTC.
We are staying in the van at the show grounds. This was our first find in the Woodford area. Staying in town to do a few days geoing. Tftc
Nice stroll after an event to pick up some points and caches. Signed as SFC. TFTC.
Nice little history lesson, thanks! Early morning is the go for a quick find here.
Time for a gelato so why not grab the cache nearby.Caching with RoddyC and imbunda.TFTCache BRBE53
A difficult grab as the shelter was inhabited by a couple of JW's. Pretty sure they spotted my not -so-stealthly step-up and grab. Did not want to leave this one unlogged as it has been on my todo list for a long time. Visiting Woodford with my daughter getting her driving hours up. Busy little place. TFTC
It seems that after many years of cache hiding in plain sight, someone has taken it. New cache container now in place.
Even though there were a few DNF's previously we still had a look. All we found was an old Eclipse tin lid hidden in a likely spot. I dare say yes it's gone.
Possibly missing checked most areas could be my eyes but worth checking on
Hier hat sich meine Tochter mal als Cacher-Nachwuchs versucht, leider ohne Erfolg. Schade ! google-translate:My daughter tried to be a junior cacher here, unfortunately without success. A pity !
My phone GPS was a bit out. I did have to take shelter to find it, but at least I wasn't transferred to Cherbourg! Gotta love those green geocache stickers. TFTC. I felt a bit cornered but it was a step up to find it. ThylacineJ
A drive around Maleny and Montville today. First stop was the Woodford post office and this one. Thanks.
Back in Australia visiting our daughter who is studying at NSW, catching up with friends we have made over the years and of course, going to soccer games as we timed our visit to coincide with the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining caches for us to find while we are here.

Stopping for morning tea, we sussed out the hide while waiting for a muggle to move along. Mid way through our snacking, he finally did so we made the swoop to retrieve to cache. I took the time to read the signs adorning the shelter before leaving. Thanks BRBE53
Stopped here for a morning tea break on our way through to Nanango but had to wait for a muggle to move on before retrieving this cache . TFTC
Pulling over in Woodford for a snack break on our way to Nanango today, we definitely wanted to pick up this traditional. Things were looking good – we found a convenient parking spot, and the area was empty, except for one muggle. Unfortunately, that muggle was positioned with his line of sight directly facing GZ, and he wasn’t going anywhere quickly. We outwaited him, though, having spotted the container from our vantage point, and we made a quick grab once he finally left. No sooner had we signed the log, though, than he returned! Oh no! Luckily, he didn’t linger this time, and we were able to replace the cache unobserved. It’s a little bit of a noisy spot for a picnic, but very well maintained and a great spot to have in a town. TFTC, BRBE53. =^.^=
I stopped in town here to grab a coffee and this strategically placed geocache. As it turned out, there was a very cute coffee place opposite that had the locals queueing. I had the shelter area to myself which allowed easier searching, and it wasn't long until I made the find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks BRBE53 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

During this extended weekend, it was a trip north to find the 65 Roses geoart in Kilcoy, followed by two days boating on Lake Somerset to defeat the Dark Side series joined with [GurTheWanderer](https://coord.info/PRWMPWQ) and [stairman1](https://coord.info/PR4R27Z).
Today, I headed north via Caboolture, and I made stops in D'Aguilar and Woodford, before stopping at Stoney Creek in Bellthorpe National Park. Towards the latter morning, I set off finding the *65 Roses* geoart concentrating on the eastern circuit via Mount Kilcoy first, before then heading north, and back into Kilcoy for lunch. After tackling the central geocaches, I proceeded west through Woolmar, before finishing the series via the southern stem. As I was staying in D'Aguilar tonight, I returned via Mount Archer and a detour into the northern section of D'Aguilar National Park. A nice and cool weather day for collecting this series, and most of the geocaches were in good condition.

Here today to attempt this one. Pretty sure we found it looking at some history, but with muggles at the table we wanted to explore, too hard to grab this one today. They looked very settled and not moving on anytime soon, we’ve made a note and will return another day.
Yay!!! Really sneaky hide here! Love the challenge. Happy to log this one as previous search hindered by muggles. That’s what you get for geocaching on a Saturday.
TFTC! So fun.

Just before the end of the month, en route to camping at Neurum Creek, I had a quick moment to look for this one.
I sat down and let my eyes do the walking. Shazam!
Nothing like a cache hidden in plain sight to give me a laugh. After waiting for patrons at the coffee shop to turn their heads, I made the grab.
TFTC which was in a memorable spot.

Hubby and I are away from home for a few days. Decided to stay at Woodford Showgrounds overnight. This cache took us way too long to find. Sat and had a think about it and spotted it eventually. Tftc.
Great little hiding place Tftc sometimes you just need to step back and look up and enjoy some history
Luckily no muggles around for a quick wander in and pick up. Good hiding spot just out of sight of the muggles.
Thanks for the cache

Found but typical newbies left the pen in the car again I was looking for something smaller will have to sign the book another day when passing through
This Easter, Seffnjarah and I took a road trip to Maryborough and surrounds before heading west to Mt Walsh. First order of business this morning was to climb Mt Walsh. After a successful mission, we visited Biggenden, collecting a few local Biggenden caches, and then wandered south through Kilkivan, where we fueled up before continuing.
We had been planning to camp out tonight, but after a run in with a farmer up near Wratten's NP, the thought of our own warm beds was quite attractive. So we bailed, and drove back over Jimna and down into Kilcoy. I grabbed a feed in Kilcoy and we then stopped for the Adlab here in Woodford.
Our journey took us close to this one so we decided to show it some love.

When other family arrangement for the Easter break fell through, I was lucky to score a ride with Crookedpete for an extended weekend geocaching road trip from Brisbane to around Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Mt Walsh and surrounding areas.
After making it up to the summit of Mt Walsh and back in about 3hrs this morning, that left plenty of time in the day to continue picking up some more caches on our extensive to-do list for the weekend. But first Crookedpete decided he he needed a burger to refuel his body after the strenuous walk and we headed to Biggenden to see what we could find. Surprisingly we managed to find a take away open on Easter Sunday. With Crookedpete's hunger sated, we ventured on to find some local caches before beginning the long run south towards home.
After a detour to Wrattens Forest and a long drive along the corregated dirt of Murgon-Kilcoy Road, we eventually found ourselves taking a break in Woodford to complete the Adventure lab and try our hand at this cache. Initially our coordinates were indicating closer to the road but Crookedpete used his geocaching instincts to track down the cache in a spot I managed to overlook. Signed our names in the logbook, our last cache for the trip. TFTC

BRBE53 I found your cache Yatesville on 25/8/2022, 3:15 pm. This is my find 4014 and find # 14 today. Found it in the first place I looked. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Alyce and I were a little bored at home, so we decided to do a spontaneous trip out to Kilcoy to get some fresh air and to grab ourselves a few caches along the way.
We arrived at GZ and spotted a few spots were a cache could be hidden so we had a poke around. After a few minutes of searching we spotted something out of place and sure enough the cache was in hand.
Thanks for bringing us here.

A quick round couldn't spot it so it was up to the feel test. Got it.

Pleasant cache. Nice story. Enjoyed a crumbed sausage and potato scallop from the iga during the search
Out for the afternoon with Willis007 to get the roses. This was our meeting point.
On a caching day out with Triple Turmoil to focus on the roses series, we met here at Woodford and collected this one before jumping in the one car.
Cache was quickly spotted and retrieved. Some muggles appeared on the scene, of course, so we picked the right moment to return the cache.
Thanks BRBE53 for the cache.

Up at stupid o'clock so I could get to Woodford Golf Club for a 6am tee off (it certainly wasn't my idea). Struggled all morning and lost far too many balls, so on the way home (for a cuppa then a nice snooze) I stopped to pick up a cache or two as I'm not up in this part of the world too often.
The roads were really busy, but thankfully there was only one person at GZ and he was sat looking in the opposite direction. Being tall, I soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks!!

Second cache for today. Touring on the bicycle from Caboolture on the rail trail and backroads to Landsborough. I mixed up my Sundays and missed seeing the historic steam train.
I have been to Woodford only 4 times. Twice for the festival (1998 and 2016), walked through when i walked around Australia and today as part of my ride around Australia.

This was the first cache i found of three today on my ride from kilcoy to beerwah.
I got lucky and there was nobody at gz.
A quick find once i looked around and paid attention to the little things.
Thanks for the history lesson and geocache, my first in woodford.

Found after a short search here today! No muggles anywhere to be seen so lucky us! TFTC
Found while having lunch at pub the meal was as good as the find thanks for the hide all is in good condition
Muggle Central on market day. Took a little searching but we found it soon enough. TFTC
Found by Mary and David at 09:30. Second time lucky for us. We tried for this one a week ago as we were heading to Dayboro for the Mega, but were foiled by muggles at GZ. Success this time, but within minutes of safely returning the cache, the muggles all congregated again. Great coffee nearby, and we did appreciate all the listed history and bandicoot stories. Gets a FP from us. Our thanks to BRBE53.
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.

Stopped nearby to grab a coffee on our way to our BnB. Spotted the cache after looking around for a couple of minutes, but a group of muggles were nearby and settled in for a long stay, so we had to leave it. So near yet so far! [|)] Our thanks anyway to BRBE53.
A guy talking on his phone was annoyingly close and not moving. Then we realised he was on a long riveting phone call which was keeping him focused and his back to us. Saw the cache and made a quick swoop to get it. He was still talking when we drove off. TFTC BRBE53.. interesting info in the description.
Found with a muggle friend who pointed me in the right direction. Used the clues in the comments as so many ledges available.
We stopped at this location on our way to Wivenhoe Dam. We have been here before but too many Muggles to allow the search. Early in the morning and all was clear. Wazza made the grab and the log book was quickly signed. TFTC
Found with GXYbuddy and SpectaclesOfRose on a cloudy morning. #8 for our geotour.
On our way back from Kilcoy we thought this would be a great place to stop for our emergency supplies of toilet paper and wine as all our friends are saying that Brisbane has gone crazy with “the covid” lockdown...

Found with Peppa Blkthunder and Giraffe 18. After a day of looking for roses thought we'd get a few on the way home. Took all four sets of eyes a while to get this one.
Out and about on a power trail today - targeting the Roses geoart (wahoo! highly recommended), the Potter Puzzles geoart, and the Hamilton power trail. It was a long but fantastic day with myself, Pprime (P') and mini oz_bean_counter, and the logs were signed as OP'X to reflect this. Started at 4 am with a check on the US election progress, in the car by 4.45 am and the first cache by 5.30 am. Home and dead tired 12 hours later, where wine and pizza were necessary to refuel the body before I crashed for the night. I was delighted to end the day with 124 finds (plus 5 DNFs, and revisited 2 caches) - a new daily record for me. I was really really happy to be celebrating that achievement with family and good friends.
Thanks for all the COs for their time and effort in placing and maintaining these caches. Apologies for the generic log.

Clever hide, even a cleverer (is there such a word) retrieve by HippyDonna with muggles around, they didn’t see at thing.... Shifty TFTC
This was a great hide and yes in a muggled area but being a new day and a new dawn - oh hang on getting off track. Cache was found - yes it is full but can still be written on the back side where all the geo info is - so quite a few names can be added before it needs some love.
