Parked up at the nearby dog reserve this morning before heading off for a bike ride today. Definitely glad NZ doesn't have any of those dangerous critters when I put my hand in, all good here, TFTC
Out cyclocaching around Renwick. This hide would have been a "No Go" in Australia. TFTC
**20,310**Had to wait out a muggle walker, enjoying an early morning stroll before it gets hot. Mr Geckoh volunteered to put his hand in to retrieve the cache. Came out with all his fingers, so all good here. TFTC
Collecting some caches around Renwick. Quick stop heading to the walkway Cache and log all fine. Thanks for the smiley.
I was out in Renwick today with Kiwimykl watching one of our granddaughters compete in a Highland Dancing competition. Her schedule gave us plenty of time to head out for caching so that I could increase my tally on the Leaderboard for the latest GCHQ challenge. I was targeting caches that Kiwimykl had already found, for two reasons. Firstly, with him having already found them, they should be an easy find for me. Secondly, he has already reached the level required and doesn't want to waste unfound caches that could be saved for future challenges.
All in all we got eight caches which increased my tally from 790 points to 890 points. This was the second find of the day and was a QEF PnG. Cache in good condition

I'm sure it's the right place but after getting absolutely filthy hands and nails have given up
A neighbour reported us to the owner. They thought we were stealing seeds. P gave him a lesson on Geocaching and he was quite happy to let us find the cache. TFTC
With the road between Nelson and Blenheim to be closed for a period of time soon we decided to spend a day over this way to collect some caches. This was our first and a nice easy find. The log sheet had no more room on it so we dropped in a nice clean one for you. tftc

After going in too deep with our arms, and removing the dog poo bag, we found this.... Pretty gross. TFTC...
After lunch we circled around to grab a few more caches before heading to Picton. Cache was full of water, but paper was waterproof so all good.
Found the cache but alas no pen today. The area was quite sludgy so be sure to wear gloves.
I spent a long time searching. Thank you capperz for this cache.

#20239. I shone my phone's light down into the depths to locate the cache before I reached in for it. Good to include an LT cache in our Marlborough haul. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on a dismal, often drizzly Queens Birthday Sunday. The focus today was on Ad Labs, a few stray puzzles plus enough other caches to get to my 20,00th find - task accomplished .
We took the scenic route into Renwick, via this cache. There seem to be lots of pretty big gum tree specimens in the area. After light was shone on the subject, the cache was soon spotted. TFTC.

Quite tricky for me and my fat arm! I'm sure my daug could have fished it out in a few seconds! I needed an on-the-spot extraction tool to bring cache into reach. Good hide! TFTC
Nearly time to go to the airport sadly.....
Just doing a few last minute caches before refeulling the rental car.
Didn't know you had a Tree Series Lee!
Lucky I have a long reach....
All good here...

Found it pretty quick, was skeptical about reaching in though, I'm not the fondest on spiders
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located, now onto the next one!*
ww9 wasn't so keen on this one so I grabbed it out!

Nice to be away on another geocaching trip with tmann421, travelling to a few places in the upper South Island.

A nice quick find thanks. Arm almost too short!
Found as we cruised around Picton and Blenheim and Renwick. A nice day for cruising it was too, with some quiet valleys and some busy roads.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

A few people out walking dogs along this road. Quick find here. So with my trusty gloves and handy dandy wipes we get this one tagged and tucked back in. Cheers
Its Saturday and time to head for the hills with Lake Challis in on our radar for today. Raphael, my lock-down house guest, is along for the ride as we trail the Seagnoid Mobile up Staircase Road. Bummer! 14km from Lake Challis we get stopped by a tree across the road. OK plan B? Rimu Falls. Yes! so we u-turn and head up Bartlets Creek, only to come across a locked gate. OK a walk in these them hills is off the menu and when we later stop at North Bank we find the whole of Richmond Range is CLOSED. DUH, should have stopped there first. So we cache back along North Bank Road to SH6. Then target a few Capperz caches in the vicinity, before they disappear. Then a walk around Grovetown Lagoon to finish the day off. We have both enjoyed our day out.

Had to get brave to fossick around in here!! Thankfully found quickly and no sign of any creepy crawlies..TFTC
After checking the movement of rain clouds, we packed up and decided to head north for a few days' adventure! I had all active geocaches I have not found yet in the South Island loaded on the GPS, but not particular plan as we only decided that morning. We ended up finding quite a few cool caches and had heaps of fun! TFTC!!
Well.. it's not really a DNF.. just a note to say that my arms are simply too short/too thick to reach. Nice place though =)
Over to Blenheim to drop StreetGamer at Woodbourne for onwards delivery to his cadet camp in Auckland, so my ‘reward’ was to get some caches whilst over the hill.
Not an ideal place to get caught with with your arm elbow deep in a tree but the passing man in a van drove on without asking any awkward questions.
Another of Lee’s trees metaphorically felled.
Thanks capperz

Collecting a few caches to build my souvenir points. This has been on the radar for a while. All good TFTC
During my travel month through New Zealand I could find this Cache.

Ewww how I hate to put my arm into places like this! That is a job I usually delegate to GK, but as he was not with me today I had to suck it up and just get the job done. I used a stick to decobweb first though. Thanks (I think) for the cache
Headed for one specimen that I could see from afar. Then decided to take more notice of the GPS - - and the hint. Took a little while of "is that it no it's a stone", but suddenly discovered something that felt a little different and sure enough it was the cache. Thanks!
Quick find this morning with eltee291. Loved the special camo job, quite cute! Signed the log and replaced as found. Visiting from British Columbia, Canada. Thanks for the cache!
Quick find this morning with hingis20 as we roam the roads of Marlborough for caches. Really cool cache guardian, just wasn't sure if I should stick my hand in there. Visiting NZ from Victoria, BC, Canada. TFTC
An easy find despite all the activity going on with the approx 4000 people attending the 21st NZ Scout Jamboree in the area. I was here as a Leader with the Wairarapa Taniwha Troop & grabbed this one on my "day off". Cache in good condition. TFTC

Good hidey hole indeed! Fiercely protected by a few layers of cobwebs. But as I could see what I was grabbing for, I took one for the team. Cool cache.
I was a bit nervous putting my hand in this dark place as there was the odd cobweb .I couldn't find it to start with but Paddle Chick came up with the goods .Tftc capperz
Nanzie looked in the obvious place and found nothing so I had a proper look. TFTC capperz

Today we mostly targeted PnG caches to help boost our July numbers to go towards a challenge in the North Island, The weather was sunny but still with a chilly wind so was always warmer in the car than out of it. We managed 57 cache finds and ended the night on a high note with a FTF in the fresh snow and dark at St Arnaud. Overall we totaled 107 finds for the weekend - blowing the challenge out of the water!
Ugh! Another place I didnt want to put my hand. Better with a torch as you cant see what your touching. Cute themed cache. I invisioned something else but once we found the it I except imagining a Ken or Action Man going around abit bare footed[:o)] Thanks for the cache

Mrs SoBad was too near this one not to find it on her day trip over the hill. Parked close to the cache and braved the depths. Nice container again - very fitting!!
Thanks.
Thanks.
Making the most of this lovely weather - and didn't realise how many local caches I didn't have.
Parked close to this one - pretty nervous about the dark hole I had to poke my hand - as there were cobwebs everywhere. Cool cache tho.... Thanks capperz

I had hoped to have a big day caching before catching the ferry back to the North Island in the evening. However with it being so wet, I just found 17 caches - and gave up my all-day plan and caught an earlier ferry. Signed log in the car and returned as found. Thanks for the cache.
Out this morning to further advance my way through the "discovering Renwick" series of caches. Or target practice as I fondly call them. My map is now clear again. Well apart from one slightly annoying puzzle but that will have to wait for another day or month.
I do like how the CO adds the little bit of something to his cache containers sometimes. This one was a nice wee twist and made me smile so plus one it gets.
Thanks capperz for the cache.

I really enjoyed the twist with the camo on this one. We still have a few of these items at home with a family of boys. TFTC #8555
I wouldn't do this cache in Australia..maybe Enzed is the only country where you would attempt to retrieve this cache....all good though...tftc
This was an interesting hide, I'm thankful no.13 found it the day before. I doubt I would be too willing to approach it with the gusto I did if it hadn't been found for some time. Nice container.
Thank you capperz.
Thank you capperz.
The cache could only be in one spot. Question: Who's brave enough to put his/her hand down there? A very recent find gave assurance and without any drama the log was signed and the cache returned. Thank you Capperz
arrived at GZ put my hand down and felt spider web, Mr. no.13 came to the rescue and pulled the cache out
good one
thank you for the cache

Good find, we often ride down here and love the secret creek nearby. Wasn't sure if we would discover more than just the geocache reaching down in that hole!
After the CITO event at the Grovetown lagoon I had time to go and find a few more caches before I head back home to Nelson. A quick find here and a bit of a laugh once the container was retrieved. TFTC, Biggles.
A little night caching in and about Renwick to finish the day. No worries here. TFTC
Over the hill for a Bridge weekend and found some time to collect a few smilies on the way into town.
Ms M got to stick her hand in. There was a certain amount of unease doing it, but she did like the container.

Back to work on my main objective for the year - to get my calendar up to three. So rather than go home and get the car and head out towards Seddon, I thought I might risk my cellphone actually being useful and headed out to Renwick after work. So here I am, an almost wide open sky, no rain no clouds... and the cellphone did the job! Nice easy find with a little surprise at the end.
