The needs maintenance from last December has been ignored and the CO has not been on this site since September last year. This cache is missing and likely went with the flood.
Second cache attempted today - and 2nd DNF after a good look on both sides and under...
Fitzy_1965 and I headed out for a drive in the country that took us from Bungendore to Crookwell and home again. Needless to say, we both found quite a few caches for the day - my total was around 36. We skipped caches in Goulburn, saving those for another day. Thanks to all the cache owners for their hides and Fitzy for the fun company!
Second cache of the day and a second DNF, sadly. Might need a check up. given the number of DNFs

DNF. Two Garmins had GZ above the flood line, up near the railway line. We searched around GZ, but couldn't make the find. If the cache was hidden below the flood water, it was not where our GPSs considered GZ was.
With Decrypter and Trodectus we arrived to attempt this cache. I did quickly attempt it a few days ago, but I had the wrong shoes (also new) to climb up among the stones of the railway track, and didn't give it a proper search. Today we gave it a good search. The coordinates are up near the railway line and we searched among the stones and around the metal walkway. We even ventured (carefully) under the bridge next to the flood water. The area below GZ and the coordinates is flooded. (See photographs) After searching for some time, and even briefly the other side of the track we had to call this a DNF .
I was in the area with Goldenwattle and Decrypter and G wanted us to have a go at this one. I didn't have this on my GPS. We approached GZ to find the creek swollen giving no easy access under the bridge. We searched on the slopes of the rail line and what we could of the bridge. We thought for a moment that we'd found it, but it turned out not to be the cache. Will have to try this one again once all the water has subsided.
On the way back from the coast I stopped in to have a look here. There are signs of heaps of water about, but I am not sure if that would impact the cache, but I did not find anything today.
Thanks.

On my way home from a night stay thanks for the cache with shrimp 92 and cullum68
Found with shrimp 92 and nissan 65. On our way home from caching in canberra. Thankyou for the cache
Parked in the nearby handy parking area and took off across the road. The excitement of the stream train had brought a few other folk out, but they had moved on as I made my way towards GZ. Head up was soon looking in an appropriate area, and after a couple of turnarounds, the nicely tucked away cache was spotted. Signed the log where I couldn't be seen, replaced the cache from whence it came, and headed bac across to the car.
Thanks for another one GB......neat little hiding spot. A favourite point for the fun of it all.....

Took a few minutes to find but the boots were covered in mud in seconds. Water has risen high for what I guess would be a small creek. TNLNSL TFTC
TFTC. Geohubby headed off to find this one. Found easily once I saw it, however gps had me on the wrong side of the bridge at first. Log was s bit damp. On our road trip to Dubbo with a short stopover for a birthday party first. TB's stopped for a visit

After orienteering in Kowen Forest I paid Bungendore a visit to clean up the new caches placed here since my last visit. The road here was closed due to flooding, but I was able to wander down to the bridge and find the cache. TFTC.

Another drive around today clearing the mind. After my drive (cacheless) I decided I would go and do the Mulligans Flat CCT caches. So I put the push bike into the back of the car and off I went. I arrived to get CCT - S2 - Walkover and was quickly reminded of the cull. Oh damn, wont be going in there as it was already afternoon so there is no way I would be finished by 5pm. So a quick change of plans were in place so i headed off to Lake Road near Lake George instead.
After shooting up the Hume and down Bungendore Road, I was soon on Lake Road. I had finished Lake Road and there was still a little light so I decided to head over to Bungendore for a couple grabs. No issues locating this one signed and replaced.
Thanks for the cache placement geobungers

#4295 - 16:45; After attending the CITO Event in Canberra this morning, decided to head out to Bungendore for a mini mission to collect the unfound caches I had out there. I had parked the geomobile and headed off to find another cache initially, but realised that I had to be in the wrong location for that one (a multi). Used the PAF and while awaiting a reply, headed across the park for this one. Like my first find, the coords had me a little way from GZ, but after checking the options, turned up the cache. Found on our 2016 Narooma trip. After a lovely drive, we pulled into Bungendore to get this quick cache. After dashing over to the bridge, the cache was quickly found. Surprisingly nice view from here. TNLNSL. TFTC geobungers!
Spent a while here poking around where the GPS was indicating but not finding anything. Early on I checked near the location of the cache but didn't see it. It's only when I went there a second time that I saw it!
Thanks
Thanks
This was an easy find, not that much success with two others in this new distribution.
Passed the Tankengine mobile coming the other way across the bridge and we all headed off to search for this one. Amazing how easily it is to overlook a cache on first pass...luckily Miss Stormcatcher QA my work and soon had the cache in hand for a joint *FTF* with Tankengine at 1455. Now to head back and give the other one a second look. TFTC
Choo ooo *FTF* with Stormcatchers! - I had almost finished the event at Captains Flat, when these came out! Oh well, one more in Captains Flat to do, and over I came! Found SC, who just beat me to the car park! I swear I looked there on my pass, but missed it! Lucky Ms SC was more thorough! Thanks GB.
Sort of 2nd to find (well ok maybe technically 3rd but the first two found it together). We got to GZ about 1 hour too late!! TFTC
We were still out and about in this area when we noticed there was four new ones in Bungendore.
So we called passed them all to turn the little green boxes into smileys.
Last one for the day for us and thankfully another quick find. Bungendore sure is growing.
