Nice and sunny day out in geelong. Quick and easy cache find once all the spectators of the ship left.. Found the crude oil tanker Pacific Jewels, making her way to Singapore due to arrive 10th December, according to the vessel tracker app.. Such a long time to be out on the water for, hope the crew don't get sea sick!
An awesome location for a GC with accurate coordinates.TFTC ship spotting dude
au.fait was on the ball making sure we picked up this cache while in the area cleaning up for the local CiTo.
A long awaited weekend trip to Geelong saw us catching up with friends and targeting some of our long list of solved puzzles, amongst other caches as well. While attending a nearby CITO, this was one of the two 'caches in' we found. TFTC Darth Briji.
A nice find today whilst attending a nearby CITO. Beautiful day here. Thanks Ship Spotting Dude for creating for us all to enjoy. Not sure if Id found this previously but as it wasnt logged I signed and now it is logged TFTC Ship Spotting Dude
Was finally able to make this a smiley face. So good there was no cars parked here today. Tftc and the view
Unfortunately my phone was being repaired and just logging these now which I did with Rex46 (his is the true date of logging)
Accurate coordinates made this a quick find , all's good at gz . Thanks for the cache
Find it deeply wedged in it's hidden hidey hole far too deeply. Had to dig it out. Adjusted hole so that can't happen again.
Out exploring with Deanside today and dropped by here to grab some caches. Despite the nearby muggle we managed to make the grab and sign the log. Tftc
Working our way through some of the Victorian Caches of the Year , enjoying good company and no too bad weather this appeared on our radar so it was a find under stress as a Muggle was parked right in front of it!Thanks Darth Briji for contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy.
Tasmania Trip Day 2. This was my second day crossing Victoria to before getting on the Boat to Tasmania this afternoon. I had a couple of counties to visit and I also went a little bit further to get two map squares for the challenge. It all seemed to take a lot longer than expected, but I did make it to Geelong in time to do a couple of caches before checking in. The whole loading of cars experience was interesting and I found myself way down below the water line. next was finding my spot and then we waited for almost two hours before departure. I actually had a good sleep, but had to get up way too early.I mostly just selected roadside caches as I headed about Victoria today. No problems here. Thanks for the cache Darth Briji45791.21 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 24 Hours 100 Finds II A#294**Albida**
A really well hidden cache, took us a bit but we got it in the endthanks for the cache
After a little dinner at nannas for her birthday, I decided to quick nip around the corner on the way home. A relatively quick find thanks to perfect co-ords. Unfortunately I was busted by muggle youth. When they asked what I was doing, I explained allAbout geocaching. But they then tried telling me to just chuck it in the ocean and stop wasting time. After they left I quick replaced in hidey hole and headed off. TFTC and sone lovely views. No ships to spot tonight though.
2nd visit here to find this one can confirm its still there and in good condition
Our 2nd find to start us off on our geocaching weekend around Geelong. Tom found the sneaky hide quickly. GPS spot on thankyou
The wind made it a bit tricky, but we sussed it out soon enough. SL at 4.55pm We did indeed spot a few ships - one big one and a couple of much smaller ones. Finding a few caches before we set sail for Tasmania tomorrow on the Spirit of Tasmania. #10,506 TFTC Darth Briji
Was nearby finding a new hide and went for the walk with the geosons. Once again, the son that loves geocaching found it within seconds once I pointed out GZ to him. Thanks for placing for us to find.
TFTC! 2 December 2023 5:08:36pm 6455Thanks for the cache! A quick find with Neville and Riddell!
A caching day in Geelong for the Christmas festivities! Meet up with Posums who Ive missed heaps as its months and months this since we cached together. A quick find here - luck was on my side. Incredible views too! Thanks for the cache.
Once I heard the Geelong Christmas event dates had been locked in, I booked my accommodation for the 2 nights required at Little River.I headed down last night to save the longer drive this morning and also I could get a sleep in as well.I woke up to a rather damp morning but that has never put us Geocachers off before. After the Morning Tea event I got a message from my caching buddy Gemma Sistema that she was one her way down to Geelong and it was time to catch up.Life has got in the way of our caching days out together so it was great to catch up again and head out for a few laughs.Gemma drove us around today and I was supposed to navigate, so what came out of today is that Im a lousy navigator so it will back to the driving for me on our next adventures. The lunch time event and CITO have been done and dusted so now to find a few more till we all meet up in Little River for tea.A great spot to view the bay and any ships that are around.Luckily for me Gemma spotted this very sneaky cache practically straight away I would have taken ages.A fav goes out to you for this one. Thanks Darth Briji TFTC.

Out and about with My good caching mate Omegaman1971, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. Thanks Darth Briji for the cache.
A busy weekend of events, CITOs, and occasional caches.
Variable weather, but stayed dry most of the time.
Wandered down to GZ during the CITO. Found no cache, but did collect a stack of rubbish from this area.
Thanks, Robmc.

Had a really good look but maybe these Geelong caches are something I need to find more of and learn about.
Maybe next time I come over?

Found on our way past today as we travelled from Geelong to Ballarat, grabbing caches as we went. This was the first found today, well hidden and all good here.

Last time I was here a car was parked on gz so a non look.
Fast forward 3 years and I am back.
There seemed only one place to focus on but it did take a bit of time.
The spirit set off as I turned around.
Thanks to mclookers for the fresh logsheet
Cheers

I had a previous DNF then I remember making the find however I must not have logged it at the time. Back again today, we pulled up for lunch so I decided to resign the log. The camo has come away but the cache is still there. I replaced the damp log and found the o-ring on the ground so restored and replaced.
Thanks for placing the cache Darth Briji.

No big ship action at the moment. Log soggy, O-ring gone, signed as YAWT - TFTC
Found this under torchlight whilst waiting for our ferry to Tassie to come in. It was hard to retrieve and we needed a TOTT to get it but we replaced it a little friendlier. The log paper was very soggy and hard to sign. TFTC!

I stopped by here a couple of days ago but was unable to search as there were shenanigans happening in the nearby Commodore.
I managed to get separated from the CITO gang but still found the cache after the nearby events had finished.
A very clever hide. Great views and fortunately the rain is still staying away!
A huge thanks to that Ship Spotting Dude

While picking up rubbish at today's CITO, I happened to be in the right place at the right time to join Alansee and Moonb1 in finding this cleverly hidden cache.
Thanks, Ship Spotting Dude .

We stopped by here on our way home, but no luck here, we also got caught up with some muggles who were wondering what we were up to, never mind we will be back to give it another shot to see if we can spot. TFTC
Disappointed to be stumped by this one but was distracted by some chatty muggles ! Will try again
SueHut was right onto this! Go Go SueHut!
Thanks heaps, Ship Spotting Dude!
P.S. Come back and play with us! We miss you!

Very nice tricky hide. I’m a bit surprised I spotted this so quickly. Great camo. Lovely arvo for caching with Wespro and geokid. A favourite from me
**A quick cache run to Geelong**
Out and about making the most of the sunshine on a sunny but cool winters day.
Grabbed a coffee nearby and then headed off to grab a couple of caches and some photos. Had the place pretty much to myself today and after parking between the muggle in the car and GZ, I was able to have a decent search for the cache. Cache was found fairly quickly with good co-ords. A nice 'ship spotting spot.
Thanks for the cache Darth Briji and for highlighting the area. Appreciate your efforts.

**Warning**, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to learning new things and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise.
Cache on!

We spent ages but were persistent.
Even sat in the car and read all the logs.
Still scratching our heads. One last go!
Armed with extraction tools we didn’t need in the end…. Perhaps the cooler and drier surroundings helped with this. Anyrate, Mr Riddell did spot something different and it was the Ah ha moment.
We should have spotted this one sooner.
Too impatient to go further afield and we missed the obvious, though currently there is some natural camo around as well which makes it easy to overlook.
TFTC and the good challenge…. Least we found it on our first attempt!

What a beauty, we searched around for a little while until we found the well camouflaged hide.
A definite favourite point from us and lovely views…

Found while on my first Trip to Geelong in 2 1/2 years. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
Heading for an event in Geelong after work, I stopped off to find some caches enroute.
Reading previous logs prior to my visit gave me an idea of the type of hide here, and although there were no ships passing, there were also no muggles here today, so I was able to park right by GZ.
The trusty Leatherman was able to extract the cache without difficulty.
A very neatly concealed hide indeed.

Found this after a brief search while driving around in the heat.
We were about to head off when I spotted something that I have also used as a hide.

God what a great hide this is my 2nd try at trying to find this Cache lucky for me I now have it in hand and signed off
North Shore is a place I visit often, usually when I need some thinking time. When I discovered geocaching this thinking time expanded into exploring time. Every time I came back here I’d park in the same spot and just look at that pole. I knew the cache was in it, but where? I’d all but given up until tonight when a new caching friend pointed me in the right direction, after knowing I’d had a rough day. When I got here there was not just one car full of muggles but two parked in front of the cache. After about 10 minutes they left, leaving the cache just begging to be found. There’s a lot more grass around here than the last time I visited but I found it easily and the log was signed. A very special thanks to my new caching friend for helping me out! Also thanks to the CO for keeping me thinking. I’ll be back anyway. It’s a great spot to think. TFTC
This one kept us on our toes ! We live close by and kept going back each day for a week.. before we finally spied this clever cache ! Loved it
Caching with team ashy and found thanks to the eagle eyes of the geokids! Tftc
Out caching with destinyruler and the geo kids, the kids have good eyes, and had it found within minutes. TFTC
After some worry that the cache was taken away with the old fencing it was discovered that it wasn't. Lovely spot to sit back and enjoy the views. No muggles around as it was pouring with rain. TFTC
My second go at this one but this time there was two of us and success. A good hide!
Having completed our early breakfast, we thought we could head out and find a few more caches in the beautiful weather we had today. We pulled up here, and there was a muggle sleeping in their car; apart from them, there was no one about. We headed to where the GPS said, and we started looking for the cache. We had found one hidden similarly a few weeks ago and so soon had the cache in hand. This is a very well done hide. The cache was in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache Ship Spotting Dude.
Came back for a second try today.
Muggles right there. Wait. Wait. Wait. Gone.
Now for the search, found something but thought cache missing. Went back to car. Started spitting. Back to GZ for another quick search. Spotted the cache. Could extract.
Got tweezers from first aid kit. Didn't work. Got scissors from kit. Worked. Signed and back in the Hide. Great little creation here, a FP from me.

2nd attempt on this one & came up with the goods this time. Excellent hide. Well done! Tftc
Came back today as part of our 2 hr exercise. After a few min of prodding and pushing, turning and pulling we finally laid hands on the prize. Excellent hide. Thank you.
Came out hoping to wow my newbie sister with a clever catch but it seems like we brought the wrong tool. It was a DNF for us today. Will be back
