Found with +Wife and EveTheStaffy.Christine had the right idea but could only see a defunct tie from where she stood.I ducked in from the other side and spied the cache nearby. Thanks trickytracey.
I've traveled along the old Princes Hwy and now freeway many, many times over the years but have never visited Labertouche or other small towns like Jindivick etc. which is unfortunate. Anyway at least with caches to lure one away from the usual beaten tracks we can experience other nice places like this one.TFTCPS: Needed tweezers or something similar to extract the log.
The GPS took us right where we found it, the tool helped retrieve the log book. Nice spot for a cache.
Nice easy find but we were initially misled finding 2 empty cable ties at GZ.looking a bit further up was the key!TFTC
On our way back from Bunyip State Forest, this was a lovely little stop. Not a soul in sight this afternoon which made the hunting worry-free. I followed the clues and found the cache. Nice Thanks for the cache trickytracey
Hello trickytracey thank you for the cacheThis one was easily found.A lovely little place.I found this cache during our Newcastle 2024 trip to see the grandchildren.Found on Sunday, 07 April 2024 at 1248**TFTC**

Nice quick find after caving at labertouche. Never thought I'd be shivering as I found a cache In December. But here we are.Tftc
Took a tiny bit of time to find but the kids had fun at the playground while looking
What a nice community space for the locals.. was in the area for a non geocaching activity but saw the opportunity for a quick park and grab .. thanks trickytracey for the quick find.
Impromptu night out camping with mayfam followed by a few cache grabs today. Great area and beautiful drive.

Oooooo another one TrickeyTracey...look at me go......just watch for bees in the area on blossom when looking.....
Out to do some caching with goingplaces2 while still on the eastern side of Melbourne. We found a variety of hides and a good selection of containers as well. Each log had both names added to mark our visit. TFTC
Today seemed like a good day for a country drive with ilook4geo, so we headed off to enjoy the day and locate a few caches along the way.
This one was not hard to find and the log was soon signed and replaced before we went on with our country tour. Thank you to trickytracey for placing this cache.

Tftc trickytracey. Dropped grandma and 2 spiffy grandkids off at the ballet at WGAC. Geohound and I then drove off for a bit of cache hunting.
Moved on from the rest stop. Took a little finding but got it in the end.

While heading to our second destination for the day Kashbound took a wrong turn...Well now you have to stop I say as I see a cache only 30metres away on the App. A search at GZ eventually revealed the cache.. log signed zip lock bag replaced.
Found the container on the ground, mush have fallen from its spot. Log book has become a little we and the staple has rusted. Placed it "up and in" where I though it may have be knocked down from.
I found it! I found it! This one has been bothering me, so I came back and tried again. Success! Thank you!
Out for a drive with loud music to lift my spirits, I thought I’d attempt this cache - but sadly I was unable to find it today. I hate not finding them. I’ll be back!

*Cache find # 11298.*
I had gone passed this one earlier in the day while on the way to start our ride In the bush.
Now that the ride was finished, it was time to head for home and as I was going passed again, this time I stopped for a look.
I didn’t look in the right place at first but shortly after I had located the cache.
When I first looked at the log I didn’t think it matched with the on line logs but the earlier ones did, not sure about the later ones.
**Thanks to trickytracey for placing this cache.**

Went for a drive with Crazy! Nat Girl to see our horses at Longwarry, once we had done that we decided to drive out and find thus cache, I had no trouble finding it. This would make a great location for an event.
Thanks Tracey for the cache and showing us this location.

Nice and quiet here today so had a really good look for this cache which unfortunately eluded me.
The GpS was swinging around all over the place so was little help in narrowing the search area. Looked in all the likely spots without success so will be back again. Thanks Trickytracey for this cache

A tricky discovery due to this well hidden cache. Just could not see it, until I stepped back and looked from a different angle. TNLNSL. TFTC. KKams
It's been a while since we have been caching. So today the plan was to hit the bush. We couldn't decide which way to go. We were tossing up between Creswick Area, the beach areas south of Frankston or the Warragul area. So Mrs P. put the locations in a hat and pulled out Warragul area.
This was our first cache of the day. A tricky one but we got it in the end. The kids enjoyed the small playground here.
Thanks for the cache trickytracey.

In the area today to visit a friend and then off to a high tea but as I was running early thought I would pop by here. Luckily it was very quiet and after parking in a special parking spot nearby I made the find pretty fast. Thank you
Over thinking this one a bit too much. Round and around I went. Nearly resorted to a PAF but had one last look and spotted it.
I left it a bit easier for the next person to get the logsheet out.

Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, an d if she had to die
Tryin' she had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' in the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl

The first time we attempted this cache a couple of months ago the carpark was very busy. After a quick search we weren’t too keen to linger. We returned today to a deserted carpark determined to succeed. Our original search focus was all wrong. This is a very well disguised cache. We can finally add our name to this elusive cache. Log was nice and dry. Thanks for the challenge Trickytracey.
Found
Awesome container but log was very damp and jammed down the bottom, luckily I carry random things like bugle screws and I managed to use thread to retrieve ‘logbook’.
I replaced with stone paper log as I couldn’t write on original. (I have the old logbook if CO wants it)
We enjoyed a seat for a while here and young boy enjoyed playground.

On a wet and cold day I was attending an Open Garden day in Jindivick and at the end I decided that I should take a short drive and find some smileys. You almost had me beaten looking for this one. I was pretty certain that I was looking in the right places but with only my phone to work with I was not 100% sure. After wandering the area with Bentley TB, I finally had the cache in hand and the log duly signed.

After attending a party at this site celebrating my youngest brother's birthday, Geogran1937 Ceebee2013 and I successfully did some cache seeking and signing. Unfortunately I am now limited to caches like this one that don't require any walking. Some time back I jokingly made a note that at my then rate of finding caches I would overtake Pprass in about 40 years, but only if Peter held of finding in the interim. Unfortunately Peter, unfairly, didn't wait and has advanced from then about 14,000 to nearly 22,000 finds. As my rate of finds has slowed so much I think this may rule me out of succeeding. TFTC.
On a very windy day, after attending an 80th birthday party nearby, Ceebee2013, dgfb33 and I found the cache and signed the log. TFTC.
24/09/2017 - 3.18pm - No 901 - 1st of 1 for the day - with dgfb33 & geogran1937 after non-geo-son & non-geo-grandy-girls had left for home.
The day took us to out for another of the "_0th" birthday parties for this year. We won't mention what the first figure is to preserve the sanity of those old people . dgfb33 & I had been around the roads "collecting" on another occasion which was soooooo long ago now that I can't believe it. Anyway, this one was published after our visit so had been sitting on the map looking out of place since then. Today's birthday party brought us to this location & it was really nice to be able to collect a cache at the same time
Ah yes some reminiscing about the location & area not quite in chronological order:
-- geogran1937 finished her state schooling in the original wooden structure that was on this site while her & her family were living a bit further south.
-- We went to the school centenary at the current primary school (I think it was the centenary) & geogran1937 turned out the be the oldest ex-pupil there & her & the youngest current pupil got there photos in the paper
-- second reminisce is that dgfb33 put up the lights for the now gone tennis courts while he was electricianing in the area ... long time ago now that he did that.
-- third reminisce was visiting my uncle, aunt & family when they lived just up the road while my uncle worked for the Forestry Commission.
-- fourth reminisce is in much more recent times visiting after the bushfires while the very uncle who's unmentionable birthday it was was helping those who needed help
-- & then later non-geo-son, with his trainee arborists hat on, & I visiting with him while they checked out & discussed “damaged” trees.
-- The location has changed a fair bit since my last visit. There was the old-new hall, tennis courts & CFA building on the site. Now there's men's shed & attached meeting/function area, a playground (that made the grandy-girls happy) & a pretty good looking bbq, seats & shelter area which we didn’t use today for which we were all really happy about because of the WIND, wind & more wind.
I didn’t realise how many reminisces there were for the location & they were only the ones I could think of off the top of my head!
Ok I get back on the topic for today.
The day started out windy & cool for the two car loads/4 generations that attended from our lot & kept that windy & coolish theme for most of the day even though there was a bit of sun or an approximation of the sun at some points. Some rain as well although I think the rain from the really dark clouds missed us . Speaking of wind, poor people who were travelling south of Drouin & got collected by a falling tree while they were driving .
Party food was consumed (YUM!!), cuppas a plenty had & after the crowd had thinned a bit we decided it was a-hunting time.
Co-ords had us in what turned out to be almost the right place from the start, we just had to find the thing. Long hair, wind & other obstacles ... [:/] yeah ... at least it was after the party so what's a person to do? We managed the 'Found it!' & found a nice dry log to do our signing bit on! Signed, sealed & returned as found.
The trip home was a bit wild, woolly & wet & we even manage to see a very short rainbow as we got back into town against what had obviously been a very heavy bit of rain. Thanks for the little "extra" while we were out ‘functioning’.
Thanks for the cache.

This one had us searching "oh so" in the wrong place initially until a particular log brought our attention to something else and Mr T found the sneaky bugger. Hmmmm wasn't I just sheltering from the rain there?

It was too wet today to play on the slide, which is always a let down. It did, however, mean that the only muggle was sat in the car, ignoring us and reading the news on his phone. After clambering under some playground equipment, The Tritons pulled our attention to another area. The second Triton soon had the cache in hand, much to the disgust of Triton one. Hey, I was just glad somebody found it! TFTC trickytracey
Was on my way home from paky and I remembered I still had this cache to find and I had an hour before my next customer in Drouin so I came out to grab it , just got log back in container when the heavens opened, Good timing. Sl thanks Tricky Tracey for the cache. Took a pic on the clouds.
Quick find today on our way back from hunting bunyips. No luck there today either so this cache is our only find for the day.

12/02/2017 6:41:00 PM - Today I teamed up with my caching friend Square_pegs and headed out this way for some exploring and to find this cache on the way home. This cache was a little of challenge to find but found it was. Nicely done!

The kids wanted to play on a playground, and I wanted to find a cache. This location ticked both boxes. TFTC trickytracey - a quick spot by the geodaughter!
On my way home in the early hours of the morning had DNF at a nearby hide and spotted this hide not far away. At GZ my initial thought was this won't take long. Torch in hand I searched the structure in front of me and found nothing. Checked the GPS again and it was now pointing me in another direction, checked the clue and it all started to make sense. Checked 3 structures using the torch and decided to have a last look and spotted the nice camouflage, log book is a tight fit needed a small tool to extract. It's right in the middle.

Gosh this would have to be one of the best BBQ sheds I've ever seen. The locals are very lucky to have such good facilities. Found the cache pretty quickly although got a suspicious stare from a passing truckie.
Thanks for bringing us to this little community. The black Saturday fires must have been devastating to such a place. Thanks for showing us the new facilities, what a great place for community events. Thanks for the hide.
Can't believe geokid9 found it so quick we had previously tried to locate this one without success for quite a while. TFTC

Sadly we couldn't find this one. Partly we were cold but also we had to leave sooner than we'd have liked to go pick up muggle daughter, so this one will have to wait for another day.
