I should have waited until halloween before attempting this spooky cache on spook hill - just to increase the thrill of the find. I was in the vicinity today, so stopped by to check out the ruins.Even though the cache is quite visible when you finally locate it, I could imagine how easy it would be for muggles to walk past GZ every day, and not notice the cache container. As mentioned by others the log is very wet, but I managed to make my mark on the waterproof.TFTC geobungers
Another short drive from Goulburn to Bungendore chipping away at the days until the Mega starts. We hav setup at the showgrounds for a couple of days and maybe get the chance to do some repairs on the landcruiser side step.A cool day in the shade but pleasant in the sun. Needed Mrs Snakepitters a few times today to find the elusive containerTotal Caches Found 15539TFTC geobungers
Found cache but was unable to sign as the log was wet. No need to trudge through the long grass.
The date being what it is today, Pa and I decided to meet up in Bungendore for lunch . I was in the mood for some more solo caching so chose a very roundabout route to get there. This was the last one on the route that I found before making a quick dash to town so that I wasn't late.

When I arrived at GZ the GPS was leading me somewhere I didn't want to go .. it was a very hot day and the grass was long .. nope not today .. I went and sat in the car and while waiting for the aircon to kick in, something caught my eye .. cache found, log signed. Thanks f or placing the cache
What is so spooky about this hill. Are there ghosts about. I did not see any, but I did see the cache. Nice hide. Loving caching in Bungendore.
Aquilus1 & I were time limited today with both of us needing to be back in CBR in time for other commitments. But a nice easy enough little loop was available starting with a new virtual, a CC event, labs and then some cool oldies & Earthcache on the way back.
Thank you everyone for placing

I had to come to Bungendore to do some cache maintenance and noticed the blue DNF smiley on my map. Timing my visit between rain showers I made a quick find.

Found It!
It was a bit of a maze to find the right road into here, especially since one of them is underwater at the moment. Once I got to GZ I soon found the cache using the hint and coordinates from Decrypter's log.

Easy find.
Log wet I dried it.
Looks full. Added a dodgy receipt for a temp log as we couldn’t write on the log.
Thanks

We went the log was wet it looked full we couldn’t find anywhere to write on it as the plastic paper stuff had marks all over it. I popped a receipt there for people to use as an interim measure.
Thanks
Thanks
#862 Turtle and I decided to venture out to Bungendore today to hopefully clear out the area. In total I picked up 30 finds so it was a fairly positive outing.
We next headed out this side of town after picking up a few caches in and around the cemetery. We got to GZ with the area to ourselves. This was perfect as the cache was spotted quickly and we were able to sign the log before a couple walked by. Thanks for the cache geobungers

#2746 From the cemetery we made our way over to this side of town. This was a nice easy find and our last success before a DNF further up the hill. Cheers geobungers for the cache.
Back in Canberra for a stint. Best catch some caches, old and new. TFTC.
I missed the obvious spot but eventually found it on my way out.

Quick and easy find once reading a few other logs and finding out the coordinates are a few metre's off.
Thanks for the cache!!
Thanks for the cache!!
I'd had a DNF here before but a quite helpful log meant it was a quick find this morning- this time not so close to the ruins! TFTC!
Walked a little bit along the fence and then spotted it on the way back to GZ. TFTC
After searching in the wrong spot I read other logs the cache was then quickly found tftc
A quick walk down the hill. Interesting old foundations. GZ was out by 4m. Cache is not near the foundations or in the stump where our multiple GPS' were pointing. It’s at the corner post further down. No need to get into the very long grass as it’s dangerous amongst the logs, wire and rocks. However the cache is hanging and facing on the inside of the post. Starting from Murrumbateman, we set a course for the coast. Every cache type popped up on our map, some in large numbers. With limited time, it is easy to see we will need to make another trip to this part of the state.
Muggle free for us today.
Thanks geobungers for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

An early start after spending the night in Quenbeyan. A few caches here in NSW and then back into the ACT for some lab caches and a CITO. After the event up Black mountain for a bit more caching.

Shook a lot of water out of the rolled waterproof log and managed to sign with a felt pen. Think a lot of signatures have been wiped off and I don't hold out many hopes that mine will survive after replacing. TFTC
Found during an impromptu caching spree in Bungendore. Reading past logs and using intuition really helped with this one. TFTH
Couldn't work out how to get over the fence and also the cache would have been in chest high overgrown grass and weeds, which were heavy from the rain.
Coords a bit off. Looked around till we decided to think logically. Cache soon found. TFTC geobungers
We had a most enjoyable day of caching from our base at Bungendore. The weather just perfect and the scenery so green and beautiful. Yours was one of the caches we targetted and found. Thanks to geobungers for arranging this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
One of the many geocaches on the annual Stumble's trip to Canberra (where we stay in NSW) but this time travelling from Goulburn to Queanbeyan via Tarago and onwards through Bungendore.
Of the 241 caches attempted, 225 were "Finds" and 16 were DNFs. All caches in good condition but generic log due to the sheer amount of how they blend into each other after a while. TFTC!

This weekend represents The Stumble's annual Canberra trip. We travelled from Goulburn through to Queanbeyan via Tarago (food and service is really good at the pub) and Bungendore.
Out of 241 caches attempted, 225 were "Finds" and 16 were "DNFs". All caches, unless otherwise stated were in good condition. Cache locations varied but those prickly trees were the WORST!! We did encounter a few unique hides which we have awarded FPs for.
We left a lot of swag along the way for the kidlets and deposited a couple of TBs that needed moving on.
To all the CO, TFTC and the (at times) challenges in finding them. Apologies for the generic logs but 241 caches blend in to each other after a while!!

Interesting spot. Hint was helpful although I spent a while inspecting another object before widening my search somewhat. TFTC geobungers
I ducked out to Bungendore this afternoon to make a few more finds. This was the fifth find. A quick find, thanks geobungers.
We have lived here for about 7 years and never knew about the foundations.... Thanks for the hide.
You know you're a cacher when you're willing to drive for hours to find a few small containers, just to leave your name within.
It was 10°C outside, and felt colder with the sun fully up. I know it's going to get colder soon. Yet I'm prepared to sleep in the car to find some long caching trails this weekend.
Thanks for the cache.

Attending the Clear Water 2019 mega this Easter in Queanbeyan. Apologies for the generic log but we have found too many to compose individual logs. Many thanks to all the cache owners for their caches, which have been exceptional in their maintenance I have had only 1 dnf and that was only because I was not going to make a tree climb without seeing where the cache was. The vast majority of caches have had very good coordinates. Along with useful hints. TFTC
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Stopped enroute for Easter travels and decided to make a decent walk of it. Parked at the other end of the back alley and took the track to stretch the legs through a few close caches. Was looking in completely the wrong spot at first and missed the foundations all together. Found eventually.
Tiding things up and finally getting around to logging my DNFs
No find for us here today

We certainly made this harder than it needed to be. That is what comes from trying to be inconspicuous, you make yourself more obvious. Thanks for the cache.
Day 3 of my road trip to the Queanbeyan Mega Event with hatzofff, RoddyC and Bluewattle. Early morning start to a very busy day and enjoyed the nice countryside whilst doing some beaut powertrails.

We're camping at some quiet locations and great little towns that should lead us to the Mega at Queanbeyan.
It's a credit to all the cache owners down here, just about all the finds have been well maintained and with excellent coords.
Camped at the Gundaroo Oval to see if we can find some of the trails around here.
Thanks for placing this cache geobungers . We visited this cache at 2:39 p.m. and it's #4103 for us.

We had already done the hard work cycling up to the nearby Spooks Secret. Now it was an easy downhill to this one. TFTC
Bonus extra picked up on the way home after completing the Tarago Series PT. Arrow wanted to settle a lot closer to the foundations than fence access would allow so checked a few other logical spots. Stopped to read a few logs, orientated myself with a spoiler photo and realised I was practically standing at the correct GZ. CIH, signing duties completed and I was back to the car seconds later.
IamCoust and I were out clearing some of the near by power trails and thought while in the area we could also pick up a few odd caches I still outstanding around town.
We only got a few as it started to rain a little and it was also very very late? early? well time for bed anyway.
Although IamCoust had already found this one previously he let me drive by and pick it up tonight. It was easy enough to park within spitting distance of GZ and it was a quick find too. Not that spooky though thanks goodness, even on a misty night, not a ghost in sight ; )
Thanks IamCoust for a great night and of course TFTC geobungers!!!

We soon found this cache once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Now for the hike to the next one. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Coords were a bit off but the other logs helped us. Logbook looked like it might have gotten wet - all the ink was runny/smudged! Good hiding spot. TFTC - Adam & Kahlia.

Parked at the dead end street to set off on foot and find these two twin caches. This one was first and after jumping the fence the search was on. Found some wire which I thought was perfect and close to GZ but couldn't find the cache. Read the logs, which said to look at the pictures, which then gave away the hide! Ahhhh over there, slightly off the mark but obvious!
Thanks geobungers!
