This was a nice quick find on my way up to Nambour for a badminton tournament. Unfortunalty, it had been raining overnight and I didn't have enclosed shoes with me. Got very muddy feet and flip-flops.Thanks!!#3660
Back for another geoadventure around the sunny coast hinterland. This time I started in Ilkley and worked through Mooloolah, Maleny, Witta and Bellthorpe. My first find for the day, I came back here after last time there was a truck with its hazard lights on, pulled up next to GZ. Today the coast was clear and it was a quick find after I jumped over the puddles at GZ. Thanks Kirstiejeal!
This was our last cache of our day driving through Eudlo and Palmwoods. Mrs Woodyrothwell is on some sort of diet that can’t be pronounced and was keen for a strawberry. So I promised her lots of sweet goodness.
If it wasn’t a strawberry daiquiri, it was going to be a strawberry kiss (from Nikki Webster of course). However there wasn’t a strawberry to be seen. There were just lots of spiky plants that wanted to draw blood which is probably a vampire’s strawberry.
The log was a wad so we added some fresh paper to the bag. tftc

So pleased it wasn't inside. I was also grateful it wasn't 20m off the road or trail in the bush, like two I didn't attempt yesterday in this general area.
9:42:00 AM. Tried this cache a couple of years ago but there was a truck parked at GZ so kept going. As we were in the area today thought we had better grab it. A quick find and log signed. Thanks for the cache KirstieJeal.
What a gorgeous location. Quick find here after reading the revised location in preceding logs, because it wasn’t as per the description. Thanks for bringing me to such a pretty spot. TFTC
This one was a nice easy find thank you. As previously recorded the logbook was quite wet so I added a new one. A previous finder has placed your tin inside a systema container, which is now no longer at head height, unless you’re a chihuahua
KirstieJeal I found your cache strawberry town on 15/6/2022, 11:10 am. This is my find 3515 and find # 2 today. Not many finds, it is a quick and easy drive by. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
I had a chance to stop here and so glad I did because this one hadn’t been found for over a year.
Great job KirstieJeal!

Heading North to collect the kiddos for the weekend, slowly working my way through the four thousand caches between home and Cooroy - long way to go, putting pocket queries to good use and creating routes.
Only a few caches today, they're getting further off the highway which in turn is making them longer detours but it's all worth it. And this was the last one for the day. It was getting dark and log hopping in thongs in the dark is never a good idea, not even in my books.Walked into the forest and started checking the obvious spots before turning around and seeing the most obvious.
Looked inside to find nothing, but then remembered the hint and it wasn't long before the cache was in hand. Quick sign of the log and rehidden it as found and back in the car. That was it for the day, winter is not kind to cachers, it gets dark too quickly.
Thanks for the cache KirstieJeal

Rolling up here today on the tredley, it was clear where i should start my search. Moments later log signed and rehid I delicately strolled on out. So much flood debris from some time back, with the flood marker nearby filling in the gaps. Wow.
Thanks for highlighting this forgotten area and giant with a geocache!

A nice place to stop after a couple of DNFs up the road... thanks for bringing us here... left some American coin...
We are pleased to find this one after a look and a stretch we were signing the log! Hint was helpful for us. TFTC
Goodies found it a few DNF before me but it is there. Look a bit harder and you will find it. Well camouflage.
Had a look with 2 sets of eyes to no avail I'm guessing it was in the big tree stump but can't find it even after digging around with a stick

Out and about in company of the geo dawg heading up to Nambour for a medical appointment
Could not resist the urge to try for at least one Cache
Great little spot Nice cache
Thanks for the adventure and for bringing me hereKirstieJeal
Let me take you down
'Cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields
Nothing is real
And nothing to get hung about
Strawberry Fields forever
Living is easy with eyes closed
Misunderstanding all you see
It's getting hard to be someone
But it all works out
It doesn't matter much to me
Let me take you down
'Cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields
Nothing is real
And nothing to get hung about
Strawberry Fields forever
No one I think is in my tree
I mean it must be high or low
That is you can't, you know, tune in
But it's all right
That is, I think, it's not too bad
Let me take you down
'Cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields
Nothing is real
And nothing to get hung about

After a morning on the water, stortigirls and I decided to head to the Sunshine Coast. After finding a nearby cache, we headed to this one. I parked the geomobile close to GZ and jumped out. Again, it is lucky that I am tall. I added our names to the log, returned the cache to where I found it, then we continued on our way. TFTC
I was out caching with Selva Girls today, and as we were nearly out of light, we chose a few lonely caches to finish the day and clear off the map. We drove up close to gz and Selva Girls had the height for the retrieval. Wow, this must have been a beauty when it was alive! Names added to the log and off to see how many more we could find before dark. Tftc KirstieJeal
This was found easy enough. Some of the old ones are really big.
The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache replaced exactly as found.
All is good with this cache.

Lucky for us we still have a bit more time to pick up a few more caches. We headed down the quiet road here chasing the plastic. As we were searching a car drives by and stares at us, well there’s nothing for it we started gazing up at the trees in wonderment. That did the trick, he moves on his way. We start searching again, oh no he’s back again from the other direction and he’s going even slower this time and has a nasty look in his eye. Abort the hunt it’s time to stare at this massive stump and point at it in amazement, honestly, we could of won a couple of Oscars here for our performance. On his way he goes again.
We start searching until we come up trumps and added our name to the log. We started hightailing it back to our car before the mystery man in the 4wd could turn up again. As we were crossing the road we saw him coming down the dirt track again, by now we thought let’s get out of here before we end up on a scene from Wolf Creek. This guy is starting to have an Ivan Milat feel about him.
Mr 4ando was busy grabbing a stick as a weapon if needed, the only probably was unless he has some serious magical powers he won’t be swinging that around…

Nice rain forest here - looked like real dinosaur territory. A quick find - what a big tree this was.
Found while out with seirra1. A nice quiet road and a quick easy find. Thanks for the cache.
T-Tech had to visit Eumundi and Kunda Park for work today, and I got to tag along. As usual on his working days, I get to run off and play for a while [^] and I had a couple of hours to spare this afternoon, so took a circuit around Kunda Park and Mons.
Very quiet around here, and I had the area to myself for the searching. Definitely had to climb up to get this one sorted, but it was a quick find. I liked the tin. TFTC, KirstieJeal.

Thursday. After a enjoyable morning's jetskiing on the Marrochy River to celebrate Mrs SP's birthday, we thought we might ourselves up a few caches.
Lots of compass bounce here but when it finally settled down we were left in no doubt as to the natural structure that we should be at. The clue then left less doubt as to where to look, and there it was!
This was the 3rd of 4 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***KirstieJeal***, for showing us this place.

Success again!! What a 'fruitful' afternoon!! Mmm strawberries!! Twist Brothers strawberries are the best!!
Strawbfest is certainly still going strong with its 30th Anniversary being held this year. Bound to be a big day!! 2nd of September at 5pm the festivities will kick off. Held at Chevallum State School. See you there!

Catching up on logs. Out today with RoBoCacher finding a few smilies on the Sunshine Coast.
Strawberries are yummy with icecream and strawberry jam on toast is nice this time of year.
Headed to the cache and had to get the gumboots out as it had been raining and there was water about.
Arrived at GZ and had a TOTT to retrieve the cache.
Signed the log and returned to its hide.
Nice Container.

1st find of the day out with team benders, and this one was fairly self explantory. I think this cache needs to be updated with some attributes especially the may require wading as we got our feet totally saturated walking across the grass and the teamwork option as it was hard to get ahold of by myself. Signed and replaced and moved on to the next one. TFTC
We were out Palmwoods way for piano lessons, early than usual due to the Nambour Show Holiday.
I took bikes for the younger boys and we had ride around Federation Park during the girls' piano lessons. Then we grabbed some hot chips for lunch (to go with salad and bread rolls). We grabbed some cheap ice blocks, and to cap off the lovely day in the lovely weather... a geocache.
We targeted this one about 2pm. What a lovely area. We go past here weekly, but never up this road. A quick stop just across the road, and the three boys were out heading towards GZ, ED (aged 4) with the GPSr in hand. The ground was rather wet, so I stopped to change from thongs (yes, I have high dress standards) into shoes... and then I heard SP (aged holler out: "I found it!" Then, JM (aged 6): "Can we swap this?"
Glad the boys had fun; didn't even need me! We took some plastic coins, and left a toy elk. Fav point from us.

Moved on from the Bus Stop one to this location I parked, after waiting for the following cars to pass I made my way to the GZ & searched all around and then there it was .

We are quite familiar with Chevallum as we drive through it regularly on our way to the coast from home. I'm not sure if you can call it a town, but the Strawberry Festival is the big event of the year in these parts and gets bigger and more strawberrier every year! We go almost every year in September towards the end of strawberry season.
It was a bit late when I decided to venture down for a look for this cache and once I found the huge mossy location, it was getting pretty dark. I subconsciously ignored the hint and looked everywhere that it obviously wasn't as these all looked like such good spots to hide things. Finally I found my way around to the more rainforesty side and looked at the correct level and there it was bright as day.
Great spot for a cache. Would be an awesome fairy's playground.
Took polished stone, left pirate patch.

We parked quite close by GZ and headed in to hunt. It sounds like we hunted the same way as Wesso because we looked in all the obvious spots before finally finding it in the MOST obvious spot. Please be super careful around all that slippery moss as Marco took quite a tumble when stepping on it and gave us quite a fright! TNLNSL TFTC
After doing the other nearby cache I continued on to this one with Mr Wesso and it wasn't long and we were parked nearby and headed to GZ.
Once there we checked here and there and even found an old ammo tin nearby before checking the obvious spot and finding the cache.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

This new popped up on my radar last night. I was in the area and gave my old mate Konie a call to see if we wanted to grab a couple of new caches......How could be resist a invitation for a smiley.
After grabbing the nearby Bus Stop cache, we arrived and parked close to GZ. Once there we began our search. After searching the obvious spots we then look at the most obvious spot.....lol And guess what.................. we found it.
Once we signed the log and I place a TB in the cache to continue it's trip we replaced the cache exactly as we found it.

After testing out another cache of KirstieJeal's up the road, they asked if I wanted to check out a few others whilst in the area... As if I'm going to say no to a geocache!
So with the information on hand, I popped it into the GPSr and headed off to this cache. Not before long, I was where I needed to be and when approaching ground zero it became very apparent as to where the cache was going to be. Areas like this have always been appealing to be, there's just something about them that is so grounding.
After being able to park only meters from ground zero, I jumped from the car and headed off to where I thought the cache to be. After a few quick checks, my suspicions were correct and I soon had the cute little cache in hand.
Thanks for the cache KirstieJeal and I wish it a long and well visited life!
