Have checked cache and unfortunately has been taken down stream with recent weather. Am working on fixing the issue and placing new cache
Spent 35 minutes searching GZ. Not sure if this has been displaced with the recent wild winds and what looks to be a freshly remulched area. Thoroughly searched both sides of the fence.
Beautifully peaceful place near the highway. Have passed this place many times but never stopped. Cheers!
Our fourth cache for the day, lovely little spot. Lots of bird life near the creek
Easy find after a climb through fences and dealing with other obstacles ( none very difficult yet). The creek is quite pretty here.
Yesterday I was in the city but so many muggles stopped me from getting my mystery cache for the souvenir so today I still needed a mystery cache and after working on installing a new wok burner at the restaurant today since this morning, I finally got out of there about 4pm when it was still light to go and look for one.
After finding my mystery it was still light so searched for a couple on the way home.
I had been here not long after this was published but couldn't find it due to coordinates being out and then moved around a bit. Today it only took about 30 seconds or so. I can see how this one has got wet before.
Thanks Shmooksta for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

I spotted where I thought it would be but the GPS had other ideas, but then if settled down and I was right, tftc!
Found @16:45 #5658
Out clearing the 10k and this one took a while and with some logs mentioning a possible error I found that today coords where actually pretty good at 4m. With the last log mentioning water this allowed me to narrow the search and bingo there it was I was so close all along...

Juliette heeft met plezier gezocht en een tackable gevonden die we nu weer gaan uitzetten
Checked cache. Definitely still there but was well and truly water logged. Changed the log and left a little something for the next person who finds it.
Had a look around but couldnt spot it or any obvious places it could be? Maybe recent heavy rains washed it away?
Quiet location here tonite before the shopping has to be done .. Been in Africa for a few weeks chasing wildlife and doing some cacheing so good to start again finds near to home. TFTC
Went out with the kiddos to grab a couple of caches before the weather hit. Otherwise we'd find ourselves with yet another day without leaving the house. Love the quick ones for the kids to get the instant satisfaction rather than stumbling around and them getting bored and giving up. Tftc.
I snuck away from the house to find a local cache as it had been a while since I had a find to my name. For some reason I checked every spit but the obvious and this took longer than it should to find. Got there in the end and worked from home thereafter. tftc
Investigating other caches in the area on this wet and soggy day so collected this one as well. Co-ordinates spot on and cache container nice and dry. Thanks.
Not many people up this end of the park, which was good because I didn't really want to jump the fence and poke around the creek with locals telling me off for destroying the environment. The knitting on the trees and rails and the nearby library was cute Thanks Shmooksta for the cache.

Sorry about the funny co-ordinates. Hoping this will be better. Took a GPS down to get better co-ordinates but seems it wasn't so good.

I hadn't found any caches for 2 weeks now so today I got to head out on the bike again around Knox and Ferntree Gully. Luckily the showers held off and the trails and parks were fairly quiet so the searching was nice and easy at most places today.
I arrived and noticed new coordinates had been added but they put GZ now out in the middle of the lawn near the highway so I had a quick look in the trees near GZ but with too many other places all along the river I then gave up. Hopefully there will be some newer coordinates soon.
Thanks Shmooksta for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

Initially the search did not seem promising and after checking some activity logs we decided to widen the search and eventually found the cache about 10 m from GZ. The log was extremely wet and we added a new sheet of paper in a new ziplock bag. TFTC
Enjoyed a walk along the trail here on a warm sunny afternoon. The hide was quickly spotted, but as the previously log states, it has seen better days. I had a pen that allowed me to write my name on the log, but it is very wet and needs replacing.
Thanks to Shmooksta for placing this cache and bringing me to this lovely little spot.

The creek has inundated this little hiding spot and the log is completely soaked and can't be written on . . . We enjoyed finding the cache in the bright sunshine after lunch in the playground and a visit to the library.
Following previous advice I started looking 10m from GZ and soon my geosenses kicked in and we found it's little hiding place. Unfortunately the creek must have risen past this point recently - although the log is in a plastic bag it is completely sodden. I tried to write today's date and 'ZHK' but it just ended up a black blob on the page . . .
I was in the area on my bike today with my 9 year old son grabbing a few caches around town and we made a quick stop and after a few minutes of searching it was my son that uncovered the cache. It was a straight forward hiding spot just the co-ord's were out as mentioned by other cachers....Use your geo senses and it should be a easy find. Hope the creek doesn't come up too far with the rain forecasted tomorrow, thanks Shmooksta for the hide and for highlighting this pleasant part of the creek.

Find #7242**
After work, I decided to find a couple of caches in my 10km zone. This one was a lot trickier than expected, but finally after a PAF, I found it about 10m from where my GPSr was pointing. Stumped? Not any more....
**Thanks to Shmooksta for the cache. TNLN**

After reading previous logs about gz being out, I was able to zero in on the cache fairly quickly. It is a lovely area here tucked away next to the highway and would be a great place for a picnic. I can see why there is concern for the cache location after rain. Well done on your first hide. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.

Just a quick park and grab on the way home from work.
Watched a few muggles doing yoga nearby.
Cheers for the cache

Found it ! But as previous geocachers mentioned- water levels may rise and destroy the cache. Coordinates are 10 mtrs off !

A beautiful sunny day to go for a bit of a drive around picking up some locals, with 88andy88.
Had a thorough look around for this without luck, so resorted to asking 88 for a clue, who then pointed me 15m in another direction. As others have stated, this creek does rise to well above this level, and I fear this container and log will not survive. Just an idea - perhaps move it up and along a bit, and in a waterproof container. It will stay dry and coords will be closer. Both problems solved!
And thankyou for bringing us to this lovely spot, and huge congrats on your first placement. Looking forward to your next.

Usually on a Thursday afternoon/evening I'm sitting in a nearby karate dojo for 2 loooooooong hours, while my boys take their Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and two karate classes. I'm often set up with my keyboard and phone, logging caches. It gives me plenty of time to ramble on and on about stuff since I have 2 hours to fill. However, this week we made some decisions whereby the eldest decided he'd like to take up archery instead of karate, while the youngest was adamant he'd like to continue at the dojo. Fabulous!! (Can you hear the sarcasm in my voice?). So this meant that this Thursday I had to drop the youngest off at the dojo in Ferntree Gully, take the eldest to archery in Bayswater (this was the moment that this cache was published), go back to FTG to pick up the youngest, then back to Bayswater to pick up the eldest, then home to Upper FTG in the dark. Any other week prior to this I would have been at GZ within a few minutes of the cache being published.
This weekend we had planned to go away to our caravan in Wonthaggi but in the end we opted to stay home and do a few things that we never get time for. Since the sun was shining so brilliantly today we decided to go and top up the Vitamin D and have a play in the park with the kids. Before we left I made some noises about finding this new cache, and since I haven't been caching very much lately my muggle family didn't groan as loudly as they normally do so I took that as a sign to make a run for it before they changed their minds. Actually we lost 2 of them before we even set off and it was just the little one and I heading off for the search. I'd seen the logs about the coords being out so I tried to factor that into my search. However, the environment presented a huge number of hiding places and possible hiding methods. Unfortunately with no idea which way to expand my search from the posted GZ, and no hint as to the manner of the hide, I was not in a position to spend a huge amount of time turning over everything in every direction. As we returned to the rest of the family empty handed I thought to send out a message to a previous finder, who luckily responded immediately and gave me a better idea of which direction to look and what sort of hide it was. After getting a few essentials from Woolies my hubby kindly drove back and dropped me off for another go at it before heading home. I went as far from the posted GZ as had been suggested and searched again without finding anything. Oh NO! I thought I was going to have to leave it once again but as I returned to the path I saw something that my PAF had mentioned and decided to investigate a little further away again.
Sure enough, the description I was given seemed to match and we made the find. Hoorahhhh!!
I will say that before I found it I was cursing this hide. I do think that it would be a great idea to take up the offer to have the coords checked by another cacher with a trusty GPSr unit. I also think that, in case it is one of those areas that just doesn't like to give a solid reading due to the tree cover, a hint which helps one find the hiding spot (rather than describing the cache) would be beneficial too.
Now, after I found it, I have to say that if the coords are spot on this would be an excellent hide (all going well with the water level). The immediate hiding spot is wonderful, the location is pretty....what's not to love? I think you've done really well with your first hide. I really liked it (once I had signed the log and took it all in). Please please please fix up the coords and you will give many people a really positive experience with this one

I dropped by and searched with bluestones for 20 minutes to try and get a FTF. I had to give up early as I had kids I needed to get back to. Wherever it was, it wasn't a D1.5. If the co-ords are out, maybe an updated set of more accurate co-ords could help??
Thanks for placing the cache though, and congrats on your first hide.

Group {FTF} with b l u e s t o n e s and 88andy88 just after 17:00.
Was sitting in the school carpark waiting for geokid #3 to finish her after school activities when the notification for this came though. The chance at a FTF was a perfect motivator for her to not drag her feet to the car after a long day.
It was pouring with rain and traffic was heavy, making it feel like hours to get to the GZ. We pulled into the carpark to see people hanging around the area and knew we had been beaten to the FTF.........but we were wrong. B l u e s t o n e s were still hunting and said that someone else (Day1976) had been helping with the search but needed to leave to pick up kids. We rechecked the coordinates, cache size and difficulty but just couldn't find it??? 88andy88 soon joined us and we widened the search area, jumping through the fence to look up and down the creek, before locating the sneaky hide. By now we were quiet damp from the rain, so we signed the log and returned it to its hiding hole.
Congratulations Shmooksta on your first hide. TFTC

We are local to the area and have seen the water level go well above the height of the current cache location. It was also noted that the cache was located approximately 13m (reading taken from three gps's) out from posted coordinates.
Relocation should be strongly considered and coordinates updated to reflect the true cache location. If you would like assistance, please feel free to message us .

{ftf} Well after a day at work getting wet and running in and out the rain it was finally hometime and then the roads were crazy as per usual the minute rain drops. Anyway sitting at a set of lights for ever i opened my emails and spotted a local cache new release and thought .....Might as well go have a look....Not expecting to be in the run for the FTF but thought i would go look anyway.
Upon arrival i spotted the elusive obvious cachers having a good old search about for the cache which lucky enough was still unfound.
So i joined the hunt and turned the area inside out searching for the well hidden sucker...
Finally Bluestones made the find and we all made the claim as FTF.
So well done Bluestones , MarkandKelly and to Shmooksta for your first cache....As noted earlier the co-ords were a little out and the cahce could see some river action if you not careful.
Thanks again

This was the First FTF for the geowife so excitement all round and a fistpunch in the air breakfast club style from her!!
Co-ords were pretty out and a little concerned about the creek level on a rainy day. TFTC
