Didn’t see it, maybe it’s tucked into a bit of wood? Not easy to figure out what to do, the fun wore off so I’ll pass.
Not this time. [^]
I even put the cat up the tree but she couldn't find it either.
Next time maybe. It's on a watch list for now.

Out with dalerious attending two events in Ballarat. Had a look at this one, he up one trunk, me on the other, but no cache was found today. Got a nice view of the creek though. We will be back to have another look one day .
TFTC. After attending a morning tea event in Ballarat, I was keen to add to our multi tally. I had earmarked a couple to do today but with the weather getting warmer I changed direction and attempted a couple of closer in ones. After completing a nearby multi , took a stroll along the track. Could not spot the hide from the ground. Up the tree and spotted it. Careful not to drop anything, signed cache a returned to ground level.
Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.
Thanks McAdies for the cache.

With a CITO and a dinner event near Ballarat, I headed out this way for the afternoon. With plenty of time to spare, I grabbed a number of caches before and between events. I looked for this cache once before without any luck. Today I tried to spot it from the ground but couldn't, so up I climbed and was able to easily spot it this time.
My thanks to McAdies for the cache.

Walked into gz and found an eminently climbable. Iad a ldder but that would have meant going back to the car. I couldn't see the cache but decided to climb anyway, and got the the specified distance and there was the cache. I suspect that Muzza couldn't find it because he had his back to it. Thanks to McAdies.
We finally got around to doing a few caches along the trail on this lovely sunny afternoon. The tree climb was tackled by the geo- monkey and the micro located fairly easily.
Thanks McAdies for the placement.

I had a look for this one but I couldn't find it today. I looked from below without seeing it, so I climbed up, perhaps too high, but still failed to find it.
I hope it's still there. My thanks to McAdies for placing it.

So pleased the CO happened along when he did as the log was too full for the amount of us that were here to do the CITO. Thanks for placing this cache and to n0w0rries for saving me from having to climb.
Pleased to be able to log this one at last. Thanks for placing it for us to find.
Found during the CITO her. Due to log space, we signed as YCG (Yarrowee Creek Gang).TFTC.
Caching day while went to CITO
Thanks to No worries who get it for us.

Having found a strangely familiar person up a tree here... I may have added my name to the log. That was then switched out. Thanks so much for placing this cache McAdies

Found while cleaning up the creek. Not much room in the log so signed as YCG - Yarrowee Creek Gang.

During the CITO here this morning we planned to do the couple of Traditional caches to add to the interest of the activity. We isolated the tree the cache was in and spotted the cache before N0w0rries volunteered to climb the tree to retrieve the log, which was full. A crowd of cachers had caught up with us, including the CO. He was able to put a fresh log. We signed the old log as YCG (Yarrowee Creek Gang) to save paper. Thanks for a great cache.
n0w0rries found your cache Yarrowee Creek Trail - Up the tree, on 18 May 2019 during the CITO.
I headed up the tree and then surefoot24 spotted the cache.
A change of plan as I swung around to a better line.
A refreshing climb.
Replaced the log for the CO.
Nice to catch up.
Thanks for the cache, McAdies.

This was my second visit so I knew where to look. It didn't make it any easier to find though as it was covered by more leaf growth. On my first visit I was a little incapacitated but this time I was prepared and had the log signed without too mush difficulty.

I went for a wander along Yarowee Creek this morning.
Not suspecting that there would be something more than a terrain 2 in store for me [:o]
I really should read the cache notes before setting off !!
But wouldn't that spoil the fun ??
Anyhoo !!
At GZ I poked around and no cache could be found.
Sooo ... I read the notes
Oh !!
I looked up !!
No cache to be seen anywhere from the safety of ground level
Thus no encouragement to do something silly was provided.
A couple more minutes of looking up and I decided that I may as well head on up for a closer look
At the indicated level above terra firma,
I couldn't find me a cache
Until I looked out over the scenery,
and the cache was in me face
That clue is misleading !!
Cache signed,
back on the ground,
I decided that the climb wasn't too bad
TFTC and a bit of fun for an olde fella to break up the day !!

It was going to be a massive morning and day for me today. With other things already planned, DAB asked if I wanted to join in for a very early morning cache run. I couldn't pass it up before I met up with the family and others to enjoy the rest of the day.
We had a great time out, I had already collected a quite a few of today's finds. DAB doesn't like being up too high but did well on this one today while a muggle came past.
**Thanks to McAdies for hiding this cache for us to find and enjoy**

With nothing planned this morning, I put the call out to Na'wal last night. I asked if he was up for some caching. He had to be in Melbourne later in the day, but if we left bright and early he might consider it. So that is exactly what we did, we hit the road before the sun had even poked it's head out !!
We had our eye on a few solved mysteries ( and some challenge caches for me ) as well as a couple of trads. Luckily we had no DNF's and all of the caches were found quickly. We smashed out the hides and were back in Geelong mid morning. A very enjoyable ( albeit brief ) trip up the highway.
I'm normally not a fan of tree climbs, but thanks for making this one doable !! A dog and his human runner flew by, while the logbook was being signed. They had no idea we were there.... TFTC McAdies

Today the only people we spotted were dog walkers and they were in front of us and took no notice of what we were up to, not only little children climb trees. SL TFTC
Haha!! Found it the wind!!! It’s a long way up in the wind, but made it anyways!! Successful day!! Cheers
Up in Ballarat for a short time & had a chance to grab some caches. I did what was required to get to the cache & soon had the log signed. Thanks McAdies for placing this cache.
Second time to inspect this tree this week, both times with family monkeys. Good to spot it, even from below. Signed as Nicnax3 with SciFiRulz and PapaGrouch. TFTC
Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch and MazzyMay. MazzyMay had looked for this one previously without luck, so today we tried again with her. PapaGrouch managed to spot the cache after climbing into the tree. TFTC
A peasant afternoon to walk the dog and score a few of our remaining caches. TFTC
Arrived too early from Melbourne to book into accommodation so did a few cache nearby. After geoson attempted, hubby went out on a limb to located for me. Thanks for the cache
Well I found it but wasn't able to put my name in the log. That will have to wait for another 6 months I think.
Thanks for the walk here McAdies

Found while out for a walk in the area. Container was on the ground next to the tree in plain sight so placed back hopefully where it should be.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Out and about with kenare and kenbryl and we decided to swing by this one. The climb was a nice easy one. Cigc. Tftc
Great co ords led to a quick find. Who said a nearly 80 year old should not climb trees!! Thanks McAdies
Out with kenbryl and Sean.75 grabbing some things from town (thanks to the stupid wheel barrow) so we made time to find your cache. Sean.75 was up the tree before we knew it!! The log was soon signed and the cache replaced. Tftc
Sean.75 said he would climb the tree, lucky because I couldn't get my leg up to the first branch!! Tftc
Find #1364 for me. Today I enjoyed a lovely walk along this part of the Yarrowee Creek trail with my 2 kids, my elderly mother and one of my dogs. There were quite a few muggles also enjoying the trail this afternoon, taking advantage of the great weather Ballarat provided today. After reading the logs to this one online before I left home, I immediately focused on the base of the tree. After nothing was found there, I decided to look up and what would you know? There it was, up the tree! Some kind person had restored it to its proper place. Presumably I can give that much away since it's in the cache name... Thanks for bringing us here today McAdies and thanks for the cache!
Such a nice walk along this trail - clouds are getting dark and the wind is getting strong ....and of course, now thunder and lightening ......... owner needs to do some work on this cache as it is not where it is suppose to be! Found at the base of the tree still attached so covered it up with leaves.
The ageing Bushfire made a bad decision to cache in Ballarat today and not check on some of his caches that may need some maintenance and then find a few green squares that need to be changed into smiley faces down on the Bellarine Peninsular.
First there was the Meredith Folk festival and hundreds were leaving and being checked by the police at numerous locations and this really slowed things down.
My next problem was the Begonia Festival in Ballarat with a huge turnout for that event.
I then made a bad decision to grab as many caches in the new cemetery and did not know that they lock the gates at 5 o’clock and you guessed it I was locked in.
It took me 30 minutes to find a way out through the bush and then finally found a way out over a fence and through a private vacant block phew I could have been in here until the following morning.
Another problem I may have is a camera car as I was trying to find my way back to the Geelong Road.
Maybe I should have stayed home.
I tried to send a message last night but the site was down and tried to ring but you may be away for the long weekend.
After spending far too long looking up the tree I decided to check out the base and there it was so placed it closer to the base of the tree and covered with leaves so the the CO can place it where ever he thinks when he has time.
Thanks guys other than location all good.

Killing time before the nearby CITO myself and the kids went out to get a few geocaches. This was first on the list as it was easy to park nearby. Once I realised where the cache was there was an ill utterance of the CO's name under my breath as I went up. With the kids telling me to be careful I got the cache in hand and added our team name to the log as ants were crawling up my arms and even into my mouth... so now I know what ants taste like.... not good. So with that culinary experience done I returned the log to its rightful spot and descended with out much harm to my body except to my tastebuds... ants.... yuck.
Moneydork and Mrs Moneydork had very kindly invited me, last November, for a caching trip to Victoria over the Australia Day weekend [:X]
A massive trip with 13 DNFS and 318 finds over 7 days and many kilometers of travel
My knees don't want to bend anymore after a massive ride on the Ballarat Skipton Rail Trail and then about 145 finds the next day while finishing the Dad's Mt. Disappointment Driving Lesson series [xx(] Seems my driving lesson was about me keeping both feet on the ground as I broke my own record by doing the autumn leaf thing 4 times in one day [xx(]
Still a fantastic trip with great sights and lots of cache finds [^]
Now why else would we cache with human geotools[?]
Seriously, the man of the group did the manly thing and retrieved the log for us girls [^]

I can't believe that we decided to attack this walking trail series and other caches in the area after such a big day of riding in the heat!
Out and about with Moneydork and Locus Cache. We stayed in the same accommodation with the idea that we would tackle some of the local caches in Ballarat including the rail trail and challenge caches. This is one of the caches we targeted.
Thanks for the cache McAdies!

*riding on the Ballarat to Skipton Rail Trail - first time on a bike in over 20 years!!
*accidentally bike riding straight over a big black snake that was about 1.5m long [xx(]
*walking like a cowboy after all of that bike riding! haha [:o)]
*LOADS of giggles and awesome adventures!!! [^]

Found with Tyred n Cranky.
A day in Ballarat for a bit of shopping and to watch the Nationals bike Criterium, and the odd smiley grab.

Find No. 1639. Found with FUF009 at 3.08pm
A trip to Ballarat for the day to do some shopping and caching, then attend the Nationals Criterium Bicycle Event in Sturt Street. FUF009 came with us.
We had time before the race was to start to grab five caches along this trail, so off we all walked along the trail, finding each one as we went, all except for the fourth one which was a DNF.
At this site it was Mr Tyred n Cranky who volunteered to grab the cache and sign the log.

Following the Christmas Breakfast-Ballarat Event, we enjoyed a morning bike ride to call at each of the Challenge caches and continued along the Yarrowee Creek Trail, to complete the loop back to our geo vehicle. A couple of walkers must have wondered why there was one person and two bikes down below.
Our thanks to McAdies for placing this cache.

We are currently on a road trip from Queensland heading to Anglesea for the Surf Coast Event next weekend While we were here in Victoria though, we thought we would try to tackle some of the higher D/T caches as we need to raise our average D/T for a particular challenge cache we have signed the log for in New South Wales We are also trying to complete more of our D/T loops so specific D/T combinations were specifically being targeted.
Once we arrived, the cache was easily located after we waited for some muggles to disappear
Thank you McAdies for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

An early morning walk started in the dark for me today. Lots and lots of rabbits jumping around. Shining the torch around when I got to GZ, I found the cache. Clambered up to it, signed the log and replaced. Thanks McAdies, this is a brilliant trail and it is so nice to see caches dotted along it.
Suscoe was in Ballarat today caching with the sister.
It was a delightful day with sunshine and a mild breeze looking after us.
A long way from the snow on our last trip here.
We had a terrific time with the sister and had some laughs and enjoyable times finding caches around the town.
8th find of the day.
Thanks to the McAdies for this nice end to the Yarrowee Creek trail for us.
All quiet here as we found this cache.
The Sister did the honours here for us.

A short walk today with the geokids and wozzle68 to grab a cache or two to fill my calendar. Having Sussed this one out I was prepared for the climb. I did it quite easily and was chuffed when back on solid ground! Many thanks
2:36:00 PM. We decided on getting out for a bit of a walk. Beat the workers to GZ and had the log signed and replaced before they were anywhere near. Thanks McAdies for placing this cache.
Never climbed so many trees in my life since visiting Ballarat. Certainly improves the d/t rating
Thanks
Thanks
The sixth of 9 caches along this trail that I did on my bike early this afternoon.
For the second time today I climbed a tree and it was not difficult.
I now had to return along the trail into the strong north wind!

Out again on the push bike. Strong winds today, which killed me on the way out, but was grateful for on the way back.

Out caching with Boydclan123,dehands and Cherad after my Meet & Great event to fill in some unfound caches
Found with Boydclan123, Dehands and Shamus1 after attending a local meet and greet event, It was dark, but armed with torches we set off, the little member of Cherad made the find but didn't want to go for this one in the dark, so Dehands made the retrieval, it was signed and replaced. thanks for the hide.
