Unfortunately can't access it atm as it's raining and don't want to get injured but will definitely be back once the weather improves
Another find for the day whilst exploring the Sunshine coast hinterland. Second last find for the day. I pulled up not too far away and made my way to southern end of the ridge where the terrain was much more manageable, though I had to push through a bit of lantana. Another quick find once at GZ. Thanks Sweet-Sour!
Sweet-Sour I found your cache High Above the Mary on 6/8/2022, 4:50 pm. This is my find 3924 and find # 17 today. Same as the previous cache, parked the car and made my way to GZ where I found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Today teamdfl and I have met up to take a walk up at Conondale National Park to check out a big egg To make the long journey from Brisbane worthwhile, of course we stopped to grab a few caches along the way
We missed the parking for the nearby one, but managed to pull up here. A bit of an uphill at the start but we quickly made the find. Nice hiding spot. TFTC, Sweet-Sour.

Out with IolantheK, heading to Conondale National Park to walk to an egg. We had zoomed by the previous cache, but managed to stop for this one. A short scramble to GZ for a nice quick find.
Muggle65 and l decided to grab this one with no notice. Accordingly it was not in our off-line list. We had no service here so finding the container was quite challenging. But eventually we did. Thank you for the fun
This was a bit harder that our previous ventures today. We found an ingress and was able to scurry up through the lantana and had a quick find in the end. We are getting closer to those donuts
Early trip up from the Gold Coast to meet up with geo friends nikid1, chamad, Peppa, Willis007 and kolour to head off to our main target cache of the day (A Good Egg).
After spending several hours in the Conondale National Park and finding a handfull of caches that we all needed, we stopped by here to find this one. A good bush bash up and through the long grass before we arrived at GZ where we were lucky enough to have had a quick find. Lovely views up here then back down hoping not to meet Joe Blake in the long grass along the way.

In the area with caching friends Nikid1, Kolour, Snickersallen, Peppa and chamad. Two of us decided to go one way - the others decided on a much more sensible approach. I was one of the two. But we made it which was the most important part.
Cache quickly found, log signed and all replaced as found.
Thanks Sweet-Sour for placing the cache here.

Today was a Phonenix day, after the plans for a particular walk were postponed and people scrambled to make further plans. This small fun group raised from the ashes and decided to head north and grab a Good Egg. After a little organising, we had a meeting spot and now a car or two for the drive up. We grabbed a couple of quick caches along the way before getting to our meeting spot. As with all good plans, they are “STC - Subject To Change”. The day was fun and full of laughs and quality caches. Would do this again, great day out, thanks all.
After our walk it was onto a few caches that we passed on the way in. This was a little overgrown and a viny area. We made the find and a fun walk back with a tumble here and a lost phone there and a few laughs everywhere.
Thanks for the cache and the fun hide, great place to stop. Log signed and cache replaced as found, it was onto our next one.

I was very happy to be invited along to a group caching adventure in the Sunshine Coast hinterland with Chamad, Willis007, Peppa, nikid1 and snickersallan. A total of 22 caches for me.
After our finds in the Conondales, we headed back towards Maleny finding some caches along the way. This one was the hardest, terrain wise. There are two options, the frontal assault or a long grassy ridge. Our group did a mixture of the two but we all came back the longer way. The view was a bit obstructed by trees - but never mind. We wondered what people in the nearby house must think of people bashing around up here! Tftc

Out for a day of caching in the great company of SnickersAllen, Peppa, Willis007, Chamad and Kolour. There was a few targeted caches and some others grabbed along the way.
Four of us tackled long grass to get here. 2 took the more direct route. The 2 that took the more direct route were there first and made the find. All 6 of us took the grassy route back. With one of taking a tumble and another losing their phone (& finding it) in the grass. Laugh and giggles (& a sigh of relief) all round.

It’s a group assault on Booloumba Creek that has seen a keen and enthusiastic team assemble at 6:30am (that’s the pre-dawn 6:30) in Carseldine to make our way North…
The team is nikid1, snickersallan, kolour, Willis007, chamad and I… so with a plan to visit A Good Egg, (excellent suggestion nikid1) first we drove, well I didn’t, I just talked, for a couple of hours through the mist/fog…
You can have the best plan, well thought out, constructed and mapped… but get enough cachers together and it’s lucky to last an hour… today was no exception…
Having finished at Booloumba Creek we’re making our way towards Maleny collecting everything we drove past…
Making use of the suggested parking coordinates we studied the options and most everyone decided to take the longer, more grassy option, while chamad and Willis007 elected for the frontal, direct approach…
After returning via the chest high grass route, the last thing you want to hear is “where’s my phone?”
Thankfully the trail was obvious and the phone was red… phew…

Logged and Found as WallabyTim/KaleidoscopeCass or WallabyWanderers. Backing this up with our old account, Apologies if you receive multiple logs
Unable to make it to the event at Kilkivan due to other commitments, we managed to squeeze in an afternoon of geocaching and collecting some unloved along the way. This one was a tad over six months and had the overgrowth to prove it! WallabyTim pushed his way through lantana to make the find. The view of pretty Mary was a nice reward. TFTC

So of we go in the morning. We got lucky. Got the FTF available and pickup few other caches to.

One of two homeward bound cache finds after our lovely camping trip to Kenilworth. Found a good spot just north of the hide to park the caravan and walk down towards GZ. The trickiest part was finding a way up the bank to walk into the cache. Once that was managed a quick scramble across the scrub had us in the right place And the find was made. TFTC
Heading for home after a fun weekend camping at Charlie Morelands. Of course we made sure to stop and collect a few smileys on the way home. At GZ wombles had the beasty in hand after a small search.
Thanks for the cache Sweet-Sour

This was a bit more of an adventure then we’d originally expected it to be!
Going up wasn’t too bad, and then we wandered around a bit looking for the cache before I spotted something in the grass.
The trip back down was a bit slippery but we all made it safely.

Out for a Sunday drive from Eudlo to Point Cartwright to watch the huge surf, then to Kenilworth for some cheese and mousse, then back home through Conondale. And luckily there were also some caches to be found along the way...
We found a park on the river side and admired the view from there first then paced along the road trying to figure out whether we really had to go uphill or not and if so, surely there was a better way than straight up... Found another way across a ditch, although still steep and the long grass was a little disconcerting. Looked over the ledge but soon found it in another feature amongst the grass.
Took mermaid's purse, left potato gems.
Found a slightly safer way down in much less time.

Was debating whether to grab this one or not, given previous logs. Woody’s “bedroom hand” had me really wondering.
In the end, I decided to go for it and was rewarded with a find.
Thanks for the cache Sweet-Sour.

I have been working in the area this week and have been grabbing the odd cache on my way home when the opportunity arises.
I had a little bit of time available so this was the cache I decided upon as I was driving past.
I had a fair idea where this cache might be as I helped to CO place this cache a couple of years ago.
All is good with this cache.

On my drive out to Booloumba Creek, I had seen this cache but decided there was no place to park on short notice. After tooling around the hills of Imbil State Forest, I had got my 4WD drive fix, but also needed to satisfy the “other” addiction.
This time I found a spot to pull over and set about scaling the hill. On the first bit of dirt I discovered, I put my hand down to avoid a spill and the pinkie on my right hand started burning with delight. I couldn’t see what caused the pain but I’m devastated because that is my “bedroom” hand. Upon reaching GZ, the cache was sitting out loud and proud and with my stamp in the log book I was on my way.
My poor pinkie is still a bit tight a few hours later but all the legitimate research I’ve done on the adult dark web informs me that I will still be OK with four fingers. tftc

Signed the log and returned to where we found it.

Climbed up to seek out this one on the way back home after a day out on the mountain bikes
Found a reasonable way up and despite the GPS tending towards the slope Geo sense prevailed and the log was signed, thanks again Sweet-Sour
Spent a wonderful weekend up here at the Mary River and grabbed this smilie on our way home. Tftc
While the others did a bit of of birding looking across the river I did my caching up on the other side of the road ,
Signed logbook 10/06/2016 3:50 pm and replaced all as found.

I was staying in Maleny for the weekend to attend a wedding this afternoon. While the rest of the family slept in and lazed away the morning, I headed out bright and early to do some caching to fill the time.
It was a perfect morning to be out in the countryside today. I nice view of the river from up here but looking a little off its best with plenty off weed growing through to the surface. Cache was found safe and well. TFTC

Made this one a lot harder than it should have been because I went in from the parking coords, but got there in the end. TFTC Sweet-Sour
It was just another glorious sunrise over the upper Mary Valley this morning and another FTF of one of Sweet-Sour's fine caches highlighting a lovely location! Hardly any traffic bothered me on my trip down the hill and I only had the birds for company as I made the short climb to GZ. The coords were within 4m of my iPhone estimation and the cache was perfectly secreted. Thanks Sweet-Sour for a nice little adventure!
